American GreenFest Comes to Roosevelt Field
Unique Green Living Ideas on Display June 11-13
GARDEN CITY, NY, JUNE 8, 2010 – American GreenFest and Simon Malls are teaming up for the first
GreenFest at Simon Malls, taking place at Roosevelt Field this Friday, June 11 through Sunday, June 13
during mall hours. The three-day festival will be a celebration of all things green on Long Island with a
diverse group of green businesses educating and entertaining the crowds.
Among the list of green exhibitors attending the GreenFest include Seventh Generation, Organic Mattress
Store, Biowash Ball, Honest Tea, Majestic Solar, Wow Green, Geopower, Isagenix, Four Seasons, The
Water Store and the Garment Care Group. There will even be an organic cotton candy vendor for a sweet
treat.
“We are so happy to be working with Simon Malls and are excited about our upcoming GreenFest at
Roosevelt Field,” said event organizer Deborah Dufton. “There are so many new green companies on Long
Island and the Roosevelt Field crowds will be treated to lots of unique ideas on ways to live a greener life.”
American GreenFest produces award-winning green festivals across the US including the East End
GreenFest, which last summer was voted Event of the Year for the entire East End of Long Island by
readers of Dan’s Papers.
“Many shoppers at Roosevelt Field have embraced the green movement, from bringing reusable tote bags
on their visits to taking advantage of purchases at our retailers that give back to green initiatives,”
commented Roosevelt Field Area Director of Mall Marketing Kathleen Herrmann. “GreenFest at Roosevelt
Field is a perfect way for visitors to obtain a wealth of green information in a fun and entertaining way.”
Admission to the GreenFest at Roosevelt Field is FREE during mall hours on Friday and Saturday 10:00
a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Upcoming Simon Malls hosting GreenFest include Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove on September 10
through September 12 and Walt Whitman Mall in Huntington Station, October 9 through 12.
