Description : The "Monitoring and Control System" is the main
part of a distribution automation network. This system was defined by IEEE as "A
system that enables an electric company to remotely monitor, coordinate and operate
distribution components in a real-time mode from remote location".
The location from where control decisions are initiated is generally called Distribution
Control Center (DCC).
Within this center, different kinds of application software are used, which cooperate
among themselves to achieve the control task.
Moreover, we proved the importance on using computer based system for sustainable
development in the automation of the power distribution network to improve
the customers’ service and the reliability of the network.
Main project:
Name : “SOLAR BASED POWER HUMP”
Duration : 3Months.
Description :
This device works on principle of friction and conversion of translator motion to rotary
motion. there is sliding plate fixed on the road which is fixed by spring. it takes the
stroke motion of the vehicles (slides the plate) and hit the freewheel (for unidirectional
motion), this rotate the flywheel (mechanical capacitor) turn the generator via pulley
arrangement and hence motive power generates. we can easily understand the overall
working of the automatic street light here the sensor ldr has the property to change its
resistance according to the intensity of the light. as the intensity of light falling at the ldr
increases, its resistance gets decreased and so on. hence the total amount of light
remains constant. Road power generation this is new type of unconventional source of
energy. This is a type of vibration harvesting, this uses lost energy of vehicle and converts
kinetic energy to electric energy.
