2. WHAT IS A DIGIPAK
A Digipak is a different style of a CD or DVD
package which is presented in a 6 panel tray
which has a gatefold package. The material
is usually made out of paper or card binding
with one or more plastic trays to hold the CD
inside.
This type of packaging has become
an alternative to the old jewel case which is
a three piece plastic case

3. ADVANTAGES
Advantages
• It is more eye catching to the audience
• More packaging gives more room for the artist to promote
themselves
• More environmentally friendly for the environment with the
package material as it uses less plastic
• It does not break as easily as a jewel case

4. DISADVANTAGE
Disadvantages
• becoming out of date for this time (most things are now
electronic)
• They are often more expensive then jewel cases
• Digipak will show more wear and tear then a jewel case, e.g.
water spills
• More expensive to produce
