3. Hack the Hood introduces low-income youth
of color to careers in technology.
We teach them web development & basic
coding skills, which they practice by building
web sites for local organizations.
Our young people go from feeling like
consumers of tech to producers of tech--and
start to see futures they never imagined.

6. This summer,
we ran 4 boot camps
in East Palo Alto,
Richmond,
and Oakland.
We served 100 youth
ages 16-21

7. Since 2014, we’ve worked with more than 250
youth in the Bay area

8. Young people visited tech companies, explored
careers, and built web sites for local organizations

9. Youth build small business web sites & develop client
management, tech & coding skills
