Great wall of china
The Great Wall is more than 2,300 years old.
The official length is 21,196.18 km (13,170.7 mi)
Nearly 1/3 of the Great Wall has disappeared without trace.
Great Wall reconstruction and protection began with Badaling
in 1957.
Petra
Petra Often referred to as “Rose city”
An ancient southern Arab people made the city of Petra as
a trade route to connect to southern Asia and Greece.
Petra was the city of traders and hence was commercially
rich
Christ the Redeemer
The original design was very different from what we see today.
 Its covered with 6 million stone tiles
Construction took 9 years
Machu Picchu
“Machu Picchu” means “Old Peak” or “Old Mountain.”
Structures were built with a technique called “ashlar.”
Stones are cut to fit together without mortar. Remarkably, not
even a needle can fit in between two stones.
Many of the stones that were used to build the city weighed
more than 50 tons.
Chichen Itza
“Chichen Itza” is actually derived from a Mayan name which
means, “on the mouth of the well of Itza”
The Chichen Itza was discovered in the year 514 A.D. by the
priest Lakin Chan.
Along with fine stones some pyramids have an inner layer of
mica.
Colosseum
 The Colosseum was built between 72 A.D and 80
A.D
 Made from stone and concrete, this magnificent
monument was built with the man power of tens of
thousands of slaves.
 This brilliant building had 80 entrances and could
seat approximately 50,000 spectators who would
come to watch sporting events and games.
Taj Mahal
 There is a small hole on the ceiling of the main hall
perpendicularly above the tombstone of Mumtaz
Mahal .
 The minarets were built tilting outwards to protect
the Taj from calamities like earthquakes.
 The foundation of Taj Mahal would have eroded
years ago if Yamunawasn't there.
