                                OPEN-SELF PERSONALITY?


    Open Self-Personality:-
         An Open self-personality is who knows others and himself/herself very closely.Having an Open self-
         personality one can maintain good and long term relations and Business contacts with others. You feel
         more oriented regards to your objective or goals.
         You will share your Dreams, Desires, Hobbies and ambitions with others. You will also respects others
         Dreams and Ambitions. You will place Helping nature with all like Senior citizens and children.
         Respect of time and opportunity.Smile is identity of Open self-personality.


    Applying Open self-personality so You need to:-
            o   Aware about yourself in other hand what qualities and potentials you have.
            o   Define your Goal and its Height and term.
            o   Be Punctual and Attentive
            o   Make Good relation with yourself and others also.

            o Smile and establish conversation first. Say Hi and Hello to others.
            o Deal your Ideas, Dreams, Hobbies, Goal and Ambitions with others.
            o Respects others concepts and ideas and Welcome them
            o Keep others Happy and you too.
            o Kindness and sympathy towards others.
 When a person knows one‟s own personality and is willing to share ideas, thoughts feelings and values
    with others, that person is called an “open self” personality.
   In service sectors like hospitality and aviation it is very important that one should be an open self-
    personality to work successfully. He should be very clear to others. He should share what he knows
    without shyness, uncertainty or lack of confidence. He should know himself better than others know about
    him. He should make conscious and constructive interpersonal relations. An open mind as a growing
    psychology creates amazing open personality changes and gives self worth, recognition and growth also
    success


    In the study of interpersonal behavior one must first understand the type of „SELF‟ the person
         operates at most of the time and this understanding must be followed by sincere attempts to transform
         one‟s own personality to an OPEN SELF by following these points:


         KNOW YOURSELF -Study your interpersonal relations and attempt to „know yourself‟. Which
         type of „self‟ are you most to time? Are you open; Blind; hidden or unknown?
         DECIDE YOUR OBJECTIVE -After carefully studying and accepting who you are, set your
         objective or goal. Do you need to be more open in some or almost all your interpersonal relationships?
         Set a time frame to achieve your goal.

         SAY „HELLO‟ FIRST -People who are not seen at all cannot be called beautiful people, can
         they? Starting from your neighborhood and onwards to wherever you go introduce yourself to all people
         you meet. Let more people get to know you.
         SHARE YOUR DREAMS, DESIRES, HOBBIES & AMBITION - Pleasant surprises
         await those who take chances in life. Take a chance , take as many chances as you get because one
         never really knows who-knows-who and when one gets golden opportunities often, chance encounters
         result in long lasing friendship, business contact and success for the „OPEN SELF‟ personality .
         HELP OTHERS -Form family and friends to total strangers, everyone needs „friends-in-need‟
         because being have often been called „social beings‟. Inviting senior citizens to step ahead of you in a
         queue, offering a seat to an elderly passenger or children on a bus; smiling with poor and needy are
         some examples of helping others.
BE ON TIME - „OPEN SELF‟ people are always on time because they have no time to waste.
         People who value time are respected, welcomed and often overwhelmed with opportunities.
         BE PRO-ACTIVE AT ALL TIMES -Pro – active or „Take-charge‟ behavior is the behavior
         of the winner. Cultivate pro-active habits even when other people must do their share of the work.
         Help, guide, contribute and encourage if you can and let people know that you care and you are
         available to help if needed.
         SMILE. SMILE A LOT -The world is full of „non-smiles‟ thus making people who smile very
         special. Smiling needs a positive attitude .Smiling conveys a positive attitude. Smiling attracts
         positive people and produces positive results in the life.
         KEEP „SMALL SUCCESS‟ ON GOING -Hobbies. Sports. Blood donating. Visiting the
         needy. Singing. Dancing. Music……. do the things you enjoy doing and invite people to share your
         „small success‟…

TYPES OF SELF
The self operates at four levels and the better one understands the „self‟ the more constructive the interpersonal
behavior.
     OPEN SELF -When a person knows one‟s own personality and is willing to share ideas, thoughts,
        feeling and values with others, that person is called an „OPEN SELF‟ personality.
     BLIND SELF -When others know more about a person than the person, such a state is called the
        „BLIND SELF‟ personality. All personalities are „BLIND‟ during childhood when elders encourage
        them by saying, “If you study hard, you can come first in your class”.
     HIDDEN SELF -When a person „knows‟ but, is unwilling to share due to shyness, uncertainty or a
        lack of confidence, such a personality is called the „HIDEN SELF‟.
     UNKNOWN SELF -When a person comes and goes from this world without making conscious and
        constructive interpersonal relations, such a personality is called „UNKNOWN SELF‟. Neither the person
        or others know the personality.
