2. One Does Not Need Much
One does not need much,
Step 1: Writing the Poem When a forest of books towers
Over their heads.
One does not need much,
When elves and pixies
Dance and hop around their feet.
One does not need much,
When Cinderella, Jack and Thumbelina
Come to life while
Drinking a cup of tea
With the crazy hatter.
One does not need much,
When a pleasurable silence
Deafens one’s ears.
One does not need much,
When they watch a princess toss and turn
Upon a single,
Green pea.
One does not need much,
When they watch little dwarves
Build the perfect shoe
And a beanstalk come to life
Underneath a full moon.
Inside a library,
One does not need much,
When a forest of books towers
Over their heads.
