1. 1. Compare Plato's ideal society to Aristotle's. Which do you
prefer? Would you mix elements of both to achieve something
superior?
2. Please provide a brief summary of distributive justice, then
apply the concept to public schools in a society. (Rawls)
3. In order to live in a society, we need to surrender certain
liberties -- ex. have to follow laws. Can this go too far? Does
this not go far enough? Please reflect (you may want to refer to
Hobbes or others)
4. Pick a specific topic within the themes of
race, gender, policing, or the prison system. Explore the
specific topic with the perspective of two philosophers who we
studied. For a guide, use 2-3 sentences to introduce the topic, 3-
5 per philosopher, and 1-3 to wrap up your ideas.
