2. Responsibilities of Student
The Student is expected to know what is on the
syllabus.
What are the course outcomes?
What is the correct text and supplementary material to the text
(text website, workbooks, CDs, etc.).
A 4 unit course will require 12 hours per week of work.
You should plan your schedule to accommodate 12 hours of
working at the website, reading your text, making postings to the
Discussion Forum, and doing homework assignments.
What are key topics and themes of the course?

Important: Minimum of 2-6 postings per week
(based on course).
Discussion Forum postings determine attendance.
No postings over 14 consecutive days results in
dismissal from program.
4. What Student Can Expect from Instructor
Instructor must respond to student query (from either or
discussion forums) within 48 hours of submission date.
Instructor must grade and comment on the right answers
to an assignment within 5 days of the submission date.
An Instructor must be available for two hours per week
for office hours.
Your Instructor is not expected to serve as a private tutor
for students having exceptional difficulties.
However , instructor must refer students who are falling behind due
to exceptional difficulties to the Dean of Instruction, who will obtain
an external private tutor.
An instructor may volunteer to be a tutor but as the class instructor,
cannot charge a fee for private tutoring.
