Dear artists, educators, and members of the Oron Zai, Space association!
Starting from this academic year, we changed our name to the School of Art and
Design. To 21st century citizens of today, art and design are things which are part of
everyday life, and have been broadening its scope through new technics and technolo-
gies. This century we are living in is challenging us for new space and new art world. Our
artworks will be glorious as we accept this challenge.
In this time Space Exhibition of 2014, we present many of nice works by our faculty
members and from those artworks we can see how Mongolian traditional culture and art
co-exist with modern art.
This is the natural law that yesterday was today and today is tomorrow. But the
most importantly, tomorrow is our future. Therefore, I have no doubt that you will continue
creating new and the best works.
May the Spirit of art bless all of you!
Uranchimeg D., PhD.
Dean, School of Fine Arts and Design, the Mongolian State University of Arts and Culture
Since the opening of first Oron Zai, Space exhibition in 1992, twenty two years
have already passed. From then until now we have been having successful years partic-
ipating national and international fine art exhibitions and made valuable contribution to
Mongolian art development and its promotion at international level.
Mission of our association is to serve for the society as developing classical and
traditional art. In order to do this, we impactour student’s training and artworks through
creative thinking and lead them. As this matches the objective aim of our school, it makes
the cooperation between our students and teachers strong and is the specific difference
of us from other art associations.
On this teacher’s day, I wish you the best success in your further artworks with the
message first director of this school, our beloved teacher Amgalan D. used to tell every-
body because many of us haven’t forgot and as well as many of us haven’t heard of it.
Three values a painter must emphasize the most are 1st creativity, 2nd punctuality, and
3rd patience.
