Objectives:
Learn and practice techniques to paint elements of landscapes
Paint with acrylic paints and characteristics of the paints
Blend values of color to create specific effects and elements
Compose a landscape with background, middleground, foreground.
Use perspective and elements of space to create depth on a 2D surface

Formative Assessment Tasks: Landscape Element Studies
Sky, trees, shrub, sun, horizon, mountains, clouds, grass.
Compositional Planning: Create 3 thumbnail sketches creating compositional studies.

How is visual interest created that will influence the viewer’s perception?
What kind of “dramatic effects” or elements, can be used to manipulate the environment?
