I have worked at Frost & Sullivan in various leadership
and research capacities for the past 21 years, serving as
Global President since 2000. One of the aspects I value
the most about the international growth-consulting firm is
the not-for-profit Frost & Sullivan Institute (FSI). The
Institute is dedicated to leveraging innovative practices in
solving many of the most pressing issues facing the
world. FSI activities involve in-depth research, think-tank
facilitation, and support of related nonprofit organizations.
Sharing innovative ideas that lead to concrete action is
core to FSI's values, and the Institute promotes
advancement pathways among all members of our
professional community.
3.
FSI methodologies encompass research on technology,
best practices, economics, and consumer and market
demographics, focusing specifically on health,
technology, and the environment. Frost & Sullivan
Institute seeks solutions to issues of global warming,
population pressure, pollution, women's empowerment,
health, and energy. A current ongoing FSI project
supports Miqlat USA, a South African organization
dedicated to its namesake mission of “Place of Refuge
and Hope.” Frost & Sullivan's Africa Office donates to this
organization, assisting children and families whose lives
have been impacted by HIV/ AIDS.
4.
FSI also recognizes innovations that benefit human
sustainability through Global Excellence Awards,
honoring for individuals and organizations alike. I have
been involved in presenting numerous awards on behalf
of Frost & Sullivan, recognizing excellence across
industries. In recent years, I have bestowed the 2009
Latin America Best Practices Awards, the 2008
Excellence in Emerging Technologies Awards, and the
2009 North American Product Innovation Award for
Computer Forensics. The firms recognized through these
awards engage in best practices, benefitting society
through technological and process innovation.
5. The Planet's Partner Program raises funds to
support Institute activities: for an annual
subscription of $10,000, partners gain full access
to FSI research, newsletters, webcasts, and
events. In addition, FSI partners enable significant
contributions to the health of the planet. For more
