This document provides instructions for a genre assignment. Students are asked to research the genre of their music video or short film using written resources, images, and videos. They should create a PowerPoint presentation demonstrating the conventions of their genre and how they plan to use those conventions in their own production. The presentation can be uploaded to slideshare.net and linked to their blog.

1. Genre Assignment<br />Due: October 5th, 2009<br />At this point in time you should have a good idea of what genre your music video or short film falls under. Individually I would like you to research your particular genre through written resources, images, and videos. This should be presented in Power Point so you can use video, images and text to express and demonstrate the conventions of your particular genre. The most important thing for you to do towards the end of this Power Point presentation is to discuss how you plan on using these conventions in your production.<br />* When you get your blog up and running you can upload your file to slideshare.net and connect it to your blog.<br />
