ABSTRACT: The falling cost of building and launching rockets, the miniaturisation of technologies, and the ambition of entrepreneurs and innovators have led to a new era for space. Otherwise known as 'new space', it has relevance to everyone and is increasingly backed by private finance. This is precisely when venture capital came into play. BIO: Linda Mazzotti is part of Primo Space, an Italian VC fund focused on early-stage investments in space tech. After spending the first part of her academic career between Italy, Argentina, and Israel earning a degree in International Affairs, she conducted research activities in Tel Aviv on security and anti-terrorism policies, later returning to Italy to specialize in Innovation Management and support local startups.
