2. POP GOES THE WEASEL-
LAUGHING JACK
Our first choice of music was very easy to decide- we chose Pop Goes the
Weasel, Laughing Jack. Our first reason we went with this piece of music
was because it symbolised the youthful theme that our thriller opening
surrounds. It highlights the fact that the main characters are children- a
terrifying reminder to the audience. It is a classic nursery rhyme that
everyone is familiar with, yet there is the extra element that there is a creepy
twist to it. It fits perfectly with our psychological thriller genre as it creates
suspense whilst still being relevant.
3. AS SEEN, THE CREATOR OF
THIS PIECE GAVE US
PERMISSION TO USE HIS WORK.
HE WAS MENTIONED IN OUR
CREDITS.
4. SYMPHONY NO.3
PASSACAGLIA- ALLEGRO
MODERATO
In order to add dimension and a contrast to our thriller opening, we had this
dramatic orchestrated piece of music the second part of it. It grasps the
attention of the audience due to its piercing violins and variety of pitches. It
also emits a sense of fear whilst creating tension which perfectly reflects the
aim of our project.
