3. • The first film was ‘The lumiere brothers’. It was made
between 1895-1897. However it was also said that there was
another film called ‘Race horse’ that was made before in 1978.
• first films were all silent and were shown in black and white.
• Actors made exaggerated movements or had to mime.
• Title cards were later introduced.
• ‘The little match girl’ was made in 1902 and is a good example
of classic, silent films.

war which then made horror scenes involve more and

and made them change because it became all about the
