3. “The National Cadets Corps came into existence under the National Cadet.
Corps Act XXXI of , on 16th July, 1948). NCC is India's second line of defense with its Headquarters in New
Delhi NCC cadet strength from 13 lakh to 15 lakh cadets.”
NCC is a tri service organization comprising :
1. Army
2. Navy
3. Air force.
AIM OF NCC:
1. To Create a Human Resource of Organized, Trained and Motivated Youth, To Provide Leadership in all Wal
ks of life and be Always Available for the Service of the Nation.
2. To Provide a Suitable Environment to Motivate the Youth to Take Up a Career in the Armed Force.
3. To Develop Character, Comradeship, Discipline, Leadership, Secular Outlook, Spirit of Adventure, and Idea
ls of Selfless Service amongst the Youth of the Country.
Introduction:
4. The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a youth development movement. It has enormous potential for nation
building.
The NCC provides opportunities to the youth of the country for their all-round development with sense o
f Duty, Commitment, Dedication, Discipline and Moral Values so that they become able leaders and usefu
l citizens.
The NCC provides exposure in a wide range of activities with a distinct emphasis on Discipline and Adve
nture Training.
The NCC is open to all regular students of schools and colleges on a voluntary basis.
The students have no liability for active military service after NCC.
