Component level results from the recently published IPS Amazônia - Social Progress Index for the Brazilian Amazon study (ipsamazonia.org.br). The study, measuring human wellbeing across nine states in the Brazilian Amazon and covering nearly 24 million people, has revealed several areas of striking difference between the Amazon region and the overall state of Brazil. Personal Freedom and Choice results are widely distributed across the Amazon, with a difference in score of 17.58 between the regional and national experience.
