forcing the nasal passages to open.




Sleep on your side to prevent snoring. Laying on your back increases the amount of snoring you do while
you sleep. If you sleep on your stomach, you may cause undue stress to your neck. Due to this, sleeping
on one side is the best option.One thing that might help you snore less is an adjustable bed. You can
keep your torso more upright when you sleep on an adjustable bed. This keeps your airways from
crunching up under your weight and this, in turn, can be a tremendous help in reducing your snoring.

If you're affected by congestion caused by allergies or anything else, snoring becomes a greater
probability when you're sleeping. When the nasal passages and other airways get constricted by
congestion, airflow is reduced and snoring becomes more likely. One way to combat this is take
decongestant medication before bedtime, so that you can get a more peaceful night of sleep.Avoiding
alcoholic beverages can help to cut back on snoring.

Alcohol has a relaxing effect on the body's central nervous system, which can in turn increase the
chance of snoring. The more your muscles relax, the more likely you are to snore. Stay away from
alcohol to avoid snoring. An occasional drink is okay, but regular consumption doesn't help.If you are
prone to snoring, avoid alcohol or sleeping pills even though they can help you fall asleep. Both pills and
alcohol are muscle relaxants, so they can cause your throat muscles to relax.
This contributes to snoring, and in some cases the snoring might be louder than usual. You may have to
seek the advice from a doctor if you are having troubles when sleeping.Breathing through your mouth is
what causes the sound of snoring. Breathing through your nose will allow air to bypass your throat.
