2. Introduction
O Internet of things(IoT) is about a future
environment where the objects we use
everyday are connected to internet and acts
digitally.
O The IoT is significant because an object
that can represent itself digitally becomes
something greater than the object by itself.
O It offers machine to machine
communication.
3. Introduction
O It is a scenario where every object is provided
an unique identifier and they have the ability
to transfer data over a network without the
need of human to human or human to
computer interaction.
O IoT has evolved from the convergence of
wireless technologies, micro-
electromechanical systems (MEMS) and the
Internet.
4. Trends
O The IoT merges the physical and online
worlds, opening up a host of new opportunities
and challenges for companies, governments
and consumers
O Connecting homes,connecting
cities,wearables,industrial internet,connecting
cars are the emerging trends in IoT.
O Smartphones are becoming a personal gateway
to IoT.
5. Trends
O Now big data has moved down the “trough of
disillusionment,” replaced by the Internet of
Things at the top of the hype cycle.
O The Internet of Things, says Gartner, “is
becoming a vibrant part of our, our customers’
and our partners’ business and IT landscape.”
O So in the next five years, IoT replaces bigdata
and reaches its peak.
6. Interest Areas
O IDEA TO IMPLEMENT – a pen, which
records everything which is written on a paper
and stores it into a digitalised notebook such
as evernote and in turn, the contents in that
notebook are updated to the allocated space for
the particular user in CLOUD.
O If given an internship,I would like like to
work on Internet of Things using cloud.
