Thousands of people, including teenaged
boys and old men, today offered several
funeral prayers for Burhan Wani, a young
militant commander who was killed last
evening, making it the largest gathering in
the region in recent years.
At least four major funeral prayers were
offered at the vast ground near Wani’s
home in Tral town in south Kashmir, while
several other small funeral prayers were
also offered as the steady stream of
mourners kept arriving here despite cur-
few imposed by the authorities.
Even though it was difficult to count the
number of people who attended the funer-
al, but estimates suggest the number
could have been anywhere around two
lakh people or more. The attendance in
Wani’s funeral was one of the largest for a
militant in the past decade.
The funerals of militants have attracted
large attendances in recent years as
insurgency has made a significant come-
back in the last four to five years and
gained several hundred recruits.
Three militants, including Wani, were
killed in a brief gunfight in the Kokernag
area of south Kashmir Wani, who headed
militants of Hizbul Mujahideen in south
Kashmir, was one of the most prominent
militant commander in the region and had
become the poster boy of new-age mili-
tancy.
Those who attended Wani’s funerals had
come from across the Kashmir valley,
including from distant places like Kupwara
and Baramulla, more than 100 km from
here. Many had come on foot and walked
long distances, while hundreds came in
cars, load carriers, tractors and trucks.
Several masked men, believed to be mili-
tants, also came to the ground where
Wani’s body was kept for public viewing
during the day.
The police handed over Wani’s body to
his family late on Friday night and it
arrived at his Sharifabad home at 3 am.
As soon as the body of the militant com-
mander arrived, hundreds of men – most
of them young boys – gathered at Wani’s
home and raised slogans praising mili-
tants.
The first of the several funeral prayers
was offered at 10 am as heavy rush of
people flooded the ground which caused
advancing of the funeral from the sched-
uled time. Wani was later buried in the
afternoon after several rounds of funeral
prayers. Some reports suggesting as
many as 20 big and small funeral prayers
were offered.
Two lakh across Valley attend Burhan Wani’s funeral Sheila Dikshit will play a major role in the Congress
Party’s poll campaign in Uttar Pradesh as she is a promi-
nent Brahmin face and could help the party to regain
support of the electorally sizeable and significant com-
munity, whose backing determines the poll outcome on
several seats. The community, a traditional vote bank of
the Congress, shifted allegiance to BJP in the aftermath
of the emergence of Mandir-Mandal politics. A large
chunk of Brahmin votes had also gone to Mayawati’s
BSP in the past, when she gave tickets to many candi-
dates belonging to the community, but now Dikshit’s
entry may swing these votes in favour of Congress in UP
assembly election.
Sheila Dikshit is the daughter in law of, Uma Shankar
Dikshit, a man who started his political career when he
joined the Indian freedom movement, during which he
was imprisoned four times. His great contribution to free-
dom struggle cannot be neglected. He hails from the vil-
lage in Unnao district adjacent to state capital Lucknow.
He pursued his education from Kanpur. Since his student
life he joined the freedom movement and was the
Secretary of the District Congress Committee Kanpur
during the period when Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi was
the President of the Committee. He served the country
as the Home Minister, Health Minister and Governor of
Karnataka and West Bengal. He also served as treasur-
er of All India Congress Committee and Managing
Director of Associated Journals at Lucknow. He founded
a Girls Intermediate College at his village Ugu in the
memory of his mother. He was awarded Padma
Vibhushan, the second highest civilian award in India in
1989, by the Government of India. Sheila’s father in law’s
credentials can benefit her.
The Brahmin community plays a significant role in elec-
tion outcome in central and eastern UP as it is the dom-
inant caste in these areas. Election strategist Prashant
Kishor had recommended that Dikshit should play a
major role in the party’s poll campaign in the State. Right
now, UP needs a leader who can set law and order and
also bring some development in the state. Sheila is
known as a development leader because of her achieve-
ments as Chief Minister of Delhi for three successive
terms.
The Congress, however is yet to decide what role
Priyanka Gandhi (Vadra) will play in the crucial state
polls in 2017, after she decided to entry into active poli-
tics. Priyanka is expected to launch the Congress cam-
paign at a rally in either Lucknow or Allahabad — proba-
bly from Anand Bhawan — in the second week of
August. She will be addressing election meetings in
around 120 constituencies. For all political purposes, she
will be the face of the Congress campaign.

One of the most popular
games in today’s time is
cricket. As this game has
achieved more popularity
in all over the country
Some of the countries
national game is
achieved like Australia,
England. The game
cricket was first played in
16 th century in England
as cricket becomes the
national game of
England in 18 th century.
The first match played
b/w Australia and
England in which
Australia won and give a
start to a cricket match.
Then many more match-
es have been
played but India played
his first match England in
1932.But at that time
most of the people don’t
know about this game
people don’t have a
craze at that time. In the
first fifty of international
cricket India was one of
the weaker team winning
not more than 40 match-
es. The team however
gained strength when
players like Kapil Dev,
Sunil Gavaskar come in
India team as these play-
ers have change the
lifestyle of cricket and
give a good cricket
game. Then the world
cup begin in international
cricket in 1975and west
indies became the first
team to won the world
cup and make history, at
that time west indies was
the strongest team in
cricket and they have
proof after winning
another world cup in
1979. World cup match-
es starts after 4 years.
Then in 1983 that day
came which become the
history for our country as
India become the world
champion for the first
time ever in 1983. Then
there is a start of Asia
cup in cricket one day
international in 1984 in
sharjah. As the Asia
team were INDIA, PAK-
ISTAN, SRI LANKA, and
BANGLADESH. India
and Sri Lanka are two
successful teams to won
Asia cup five times. In
2016 that’s the first time
that Asia cup is played in
t20 format. After 90s
people have a craze to
watch cricket, ICC has
given many changed
many of the sponsors
found for cricket to make
it more popular in the
world. There is also the
development in stadiums
of countries. Then in
2007 International crick-
et council have given a
t20 world cup games of
20 over’s which was
started in south Africa
and India became the
first team to won the t20
world cup.
The t20 world cup has
also given a good start to
Indian premium league in
which all international
player played as it is
good that Indian premi-
um league have started
because it allow to see
theperformance of play-
ers and to select them
for the international
matches in cricket. As
now the cricket game is
in the blood of every
people specially young-
ster such a huge fan they
are now of this game and
make life is Cricket.
Life is cricket
Odisha is suffering due to three major forces, one is gov-
ernment another is police and third is Maoists. Villagers
and security personnel engaged in anti-Maoist opera-
tions opened fire at innocent people in Kandhamal dis-
trict of the state. Police randomly opens fire at villagers
and leaves killing many in the name of Maoists. There is
almost every day cross fire exchange between police-
men and Maoists. The survivors however, claim that their
fellow citizens were killed in a cold blood. Panicked vil-
lagers demanded that the anti-Maoist operations be
stopped in the region. Naveen Patnaik government had
ordered a judicial probe into the killing of innocent vil-
lagers.
The Naxalite–Maoist insurgency is an ongoing conflict
between Maoist groups, known as Naxalites or Naxals,
and the Indian government. The conflict in its present
form began after the 2004 formation of the CPI (Maoist),
a rebel group composed of the PWG (People’s War
Group) and the MCC (Maoist Communist Centre).

Surat/Tapi : A 27 year old Engineer was recently booked
on charges of Rape, IPC section 376 and was kept in
custody for 14 days. The incident took place in KAPP
(Kakrapar Atomic Power Plant) township where it is
believed that the victim, a 34 year old woman from
Vadodara came down to the township saying that she
had some work and seeked help from the accused to let
her stay at his place for security concerns. She had also
informed him that she would be coming there for 3-4
days and would leave as soon as her works gets com-
pleted.
In attempt to help her, the accused allowed her to stay at
his allotted residence for the time being. If the people of
township were to be believed, after the first day of her
arrival, she started harassing the accused physically,
mentally and emotionally and started blackmailing him to
marry her. He disagreed to her citing that he was already
married and cannot marry her at any cost. She further
more threatened him and said that she would go to the
police if he didn’t obey her illegitimate demands and
would file fake rape charge against him. Not only this,
she also demanded a hefty amount of Rs 30 lakhs in

said. Stating that both released persons had spoken to
their families, Swarup said Sharma’s wife thanked
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for ensuring his
safe release.

when they were kidnapped.

Pakistan’s social media
celebrity Qandeel Baloch
was killed allegedly by her
brother in Multan in Punjab
province, becoming the lat-
est victim of “honour
killings” that plague the
country.
The 26-year-old actor-
cum-model was killed in
central district of Multan
last night, police said
today.
Police said apparently she
was killed by her brother
named Wasim, who has
fled after the incident.
“She was suffocated to
death by strangulation. It
seems to be a case of hon-
our killing but we are inves-
tigating it,” district police
chief Azhar Akram said.
Her real name was Fouzia
Azeem but she chose
Qandeel Baloch as her
pseudonym after stepping
into modelling.
She had received threats
from her family to quit
modeling and her provoca-
tive appearances on social
media. Her brother had
been threatening her over
her Facebook posts and
videos, said the police.
Three weeks ago, she had
written to the interior minis-
ter, the director general of
the Federal Investigation
Authority (FIA) and the
senior superintendent of
Islamabad asking them to
provide security to her,
Dawn reported.
She had said her life is in
danger and that she is
being threatened via calls
on her mobile number and
that she did not have secu-
rity measures installed in
her home, the paper said.
Qandeel was media sen-
sation and unbelievably
bold and was also consid-
ered highly controversial.
She shot to fame in
Pakistan in 2014 after a
video of her pouting for the
camera. She became
famous through her tire-
less self-promotion and
suggestive “selfies” posted
on social media and had
amassed tens of thou-
sands of followers.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan will
observe July 19 as a ‘black day’ to protest against
‘killings’, referring to those who died during protests after
the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan
Wani in Kashmir.
The special Cabinet meeting decided to observe nation-
wide black day on July 19 to mark complete solidarity
with Kashmiris. Sharif termed the “movement of
Kashmiris as a movement of freedom”.
“Pakistan would continue to extend moral, political and
diplomatic support for Kashmiris in their just struggle for
right to self-determination,” the prime minister said.
“The Prime Minister termed Burhan Wani as martyr of
independence movement,” Radio Pakistan reported.
He said, the “Indian brutalities will give impetus to the
freedom struggle and Kashmiri people will get their right
to self-determination for which the whole Pakistani nation
is standing behind them.”
Speaking in the wake of the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen
terrorist Burhan Wani in an encounter in Anantnag,
Sharif had said that the plebiscite should be held so that
the people of Jammu and Kashmir can decide whether
they wanted to be with India or align with Pakistan.
While voicing “concern and deep sorrow” over the killing
of Burhan Wani, Sharif had said the “massacre of citi-
zens by Indian forces and use of brutal force against
Kashmir is regrettable”.
He was referring to the death of people in Kashmir in
clashes with security forces, post Wani’s killing.

China may build mobile
nuclear power plants in the
South China Sea, state media
reported on Friday, days after
an international tribunal dis-
missed Beijing’s vast claims
in the strategically vital
waters.
“Marine nuclear power plat-
form construction will be used
to support China’s effective
control in the South China
Sea,” the website of the state-
run Global Times cited the
China National Nuclear
Corporation (CNNC) as say-
ing on a social media
account. The Global Times
cited the report as saying that
“marine nuclear power plat-
forms will be used” in the
islands and reefs of the
Spratly chain in the contested
sea “to ensure freshwater”.
The original report was delet-
ed from CNNC’s account on
social media platform
WeChat on Friday, and a
staffer at the firm told that it
“needed to confirm” its accu-
racy.
“In the past, the freshwater
provision to troops stationed
in the South China Sea could
not be guaranteed, and could
only be provided by boats
delivering barrels of water,”
the Global Times cited the
report as saying. “In the
future, as the South China
Sea electricity and power sys-
tem is strengthened, China
will speed up the commercial
development of the South
China Sea region,” it added.

Impeccable Efforts done by

der case.
Kodigehalli police have
solved a sensational double
murder case of a retired
employee of GKVK and his
wife, by arresting a 22-year-
old assailant who is a Cab
driver by profession .
How police detected the sen-
sational case.
* Murder took place on 2nd
July 2016 came to light on 5th
July as neighbours noticed
the doors were shut from 2
days as the elderly women
used to draw Rangoli infront
of her house daily.
* Elderly son of couple rushed
to house and opened the
doors and found his father
lying in pool of blood and her
mother was found lying in
pool of blood in first floor.
* Tension and fear among the
neighbours in the locality was
prevailed after the murder.
* Local police was informed
and rushed to spot with
Senior officials and finger
print experts were pressed.*
There was no clue in the case
as it was suspected a known
person has committed the
crime but there were no clue.

formed in which 3 ACPs,6

staff were swung into action.

tives, friends, neighbours with

by the team.
* Circumstantial clue by a
neighbour who noticed the
assailant coming out of the
house on the day of crime
gave breakthrough in the
case.
* The special team Nabbed
the accused from his home
town. Addl CP East,
P.Harishekaran said,
Venkatesh is a cab driver. He
bought a knife and used it to
murder the elderly couple. He
looted the mangalasutra and
gold in the house and it was a
murder for financial gain and
with impeccable efforts the
team has detected the case

Muniyappa's son told media
persons, I knew Venkatesh as
so did my parents he visited
my house a couple of times in

Byatarayanapura near
Yelahanka, and the murder
came to light only after a few
days and the bodies were
found at decomposed state,a
case was registered in
Kodigehalli police station
under murder for gain.
As it was very sensational
and high profile case

Commissioner, N S
Megharikh with Addl CP East,
P Harishekaran, myself with
Dog squads and finger print
experts were rushed to spot
and the commissioner
inspected the whole area and
collected stock of the situa-
tion, and instructed the Addl
CP East to led a 3 special
team to nab the assailant.
Three special team were
pressed into action under the
supervision of ACPs as,
B . M . N a r a y a n s w a m y ,
C.N.Bhopaiah, and
P.Shivkumar, along with
inspectors, totally about 60
police personnel swung into
action and started the investi-
gation and questioned all
their family members, rela-
tives and friends even they
questioned all their customers
of chit fund, real estate busi-
ness,with this team ques-
tioned nearly 200 persons
and gathered information
from them. During investiga-
tion our team gathered cir-
cumstantial evidence based
on the evidence our team
arrested Venkatesh from his
home town as during the
course of investigation a
neighbour noticed him com-
ing out from the house.
After arresting the accused
Venkatesh confessed the
crime and said that he is a
cab driver by profession and
a close friend of couple's
younger son Prithviraj had
come in contact with
Venkatesh as he was working
with Nishanth, who is a friend
of Prithviraj. Nishanth often
used to come to couples' res-
idence to meet Prithviraj and
Venkatesh was dropping him.
Meanwhile, Venkatesh came
to know that the couple were
into chit fund business and
had asked money as he was
facing financial problem. He
had approached them for
money and did not get.
Venkatesh noticed
Muniyappa (68), a retired
Assistant Controller of GKVK,
and his wife Varalakshmi liv-
ing in a duplex house in
Byatarayanapura while their
three sons lived separately in
various parts of the city.
Venkatesh, who was heavily
in debt, noticed that
Varalakshmi used to wear a
lot of gold ornaments and
Muniyappa was involved in
huge money transactions
through his money lending
business.
Venkatesh decided to elimi-
nate the couple to clear his
debts. As per the plan, on July
2nd, he visited the couple’s
house on the pretext of dis-
cussing about a prospective
bride for their younger son,as
the couple were searching for
a bride for Prithviraj and he
gained entry into the house in
the pretext of giving a detail of
a bride.
When Muniyappa opened the
door, Venkatesh hugged him
and stabbed repeatedly.After
few minutes of conversation,
Venkatesh overpowered
Muniyappa and slit his throat
with a knife which he had
bought from a hardware shop
from his hometown. he then
went to the first floor and
stabbed Varalakshmi who
was busy in her daily chore
and rob her managalasutra
and killed her in similar man-
ner. Venkatesh then removed
the gold valuables from
Varalakshmi’s body and ran-
sacked the house to look for
cash and gold. He soon
escaped with the valuables
after locking the house from
the outside and our team
grilled him and based on his
statement we have recovered
the gold valuables which he
had pawned for Rs.1,02,000
to clear his debts.

The National Skill Mission
which was launched by the
PM on World Youth Skill Day
last year aiming to increase
unemployment opportunity
by enhancing skills of the
youth, completed a year on
15 July, 2016. Most centres
of ATDC saw a huge number
of students gathered to par-
ticipate, taking the zeal even
among the organizers to new
zeniths.
The Chairman of ATDC said
on the occasion “The United
Nations declared July 15 as
World Youth Skills Day” in
2014 and our Hon’ble Prime
Minister announced the
‘National Skill Mission’ and
the ‘National Skill
Development Policy’ on July
15, 2015 commemorating
the World Youth Skills Day. In
the last one year, consider-
able progress has been
achieved towards skilling
Indian youth. The Textile
Sector especially Apparel
being downstream has maxi-
mum potential for employ-
ment generation especially
for women and youth. It is
important that the skilling
programme under the MOT’s
ISDS goes from strength to
strength to provide skilled
Human Resources for the
growing apparel sector espe-
cially in the context of the
new Rs. 6,000 Cr. package
announced by the Govt.
which will certainly trigger job
creation through additional
capacities. ATDC has done
yeomen service by setting up
about 190 centres across
India in 23 States having
trained about 1,86,000 can-
didates by now under ISDS
and linking about 70% to
wage employment with most-
ly apparel exporters. The
2,00,000 mark is not far
away and I congratulate the
entire team and wish the
ATDC’s contestants the very
best in the Skill Competitions
being held on 16 th & 17
th July, 2016 as part of Skill
India celebrations.”
To mark the anniversary of
the Skill India Campaign,
ATDC centers in Gurgaon,
Indore, Faridabad, Chennai
Guindy, Patna, Okhla,
Kanpur and Ranchi hosted a
number of events. A mystery
box contest marked the com-
mencement of the eventful
day at all the centers.

A metropolitan magistrate’s
court in suburban Andheri
on Saturday issued a Non-
Bailable Warrant (NBW)
against liquor baron Vijay
Mallya in a cheque bounce
case.
The court had in May
reserved its order on appli-
cations filed by the Airport
Authority of India (AAI) seeking an arrest warrant against
the industrialist.
AAI has filed two cheque bouncing cases against
Mallya’s Kingfisher Airlines in the court. The two cheques
worth Rs. 50 crores and Rs. 57 crores respectively were
dishonored in year 2012.
In last hearing, the court had asked Mallya to remain
present during the hearing of the said case but he was
absent as well.
The lawyer, who appeared for Mallya, told the court the
Mallya’s passport is revoked and hence he cannot come
and the matter should be heard without him.
