• female sound–high “ hink”
• male sound-low “ahonk”
• female goose-commitment and loyalty to babies
• can be very aggressive when defending territory
• life span ten to twenty–four years
• White chin strap long black neck–distinguishable
• Size is a bit to twice as large as a duck

4. Habitat
• most Canadian geese-Canada or Northern united
states
• nests near streams, lakes, ponds and beaver
lodges
• nests made of sticks moss grass and down
• nests in shallow indents in the ground
