Elements4D is an augmented reality app that uses cubes representing chemical elements; when students point their iPad camera at a cube, additional information about that element is revealed, and elements can be combined so that students see them transform based on their state or chemical reaction. The app aims to stimulate students' interest in chemistry by allowing them to manipulate virtual element cubes and see how elements behave on their own and when combined.

2. In Elements4D, the cubes become the trigger that
bring the elements to life.

3. Students point the iPad camera at a cube, and it
reveals additional information about that element.

4. If the element is solid, it look solid, like gold.

5. Here are gold and carbon. If a student clicks on an
element, they will get more facts about it.

6. Notice, when they are not touching, Hydrogen
and Oxygen are gasses.

7. Put them together and, you guessed it, they turn
into water.

8. Here are the cubes for
Plutonium and Bromine separately.
Notice, Bromine is a liquid and
Plutonium is a solid.

9. Put them together and it turns into
Plutonium Tribromide and changes into more of a
greenish crystal form.

10. The really wonderful thing about Elements4D AR
app is that it stimulates inquiry.

11. Students want to manipulate the cubes and see
what happens. They are excited about chemistry.
