The Thoracic Ventricle
II MDCT angiography of the thoracic aorta:
At the point when an acute aortic syndrome (AAS) is suspected (owing either to clinical
manifestations or to chest radiographic findings), non enhanced CT is usually done first to search a
high attenuation acute intramural hematoma (IMH). The contrast enhanced scanning, which take
after is the key part of the CT examination. The right timing of the entry of contrast material in the
aorta is basic to picture quality. Approaches to accomplishing this incorporate a timing bolus or a
bolus tracking technique (Kazerooni et al, 2009).
Technical procedures: Previously, ECG gating has fundamentally been retrospective gating with
which information are gathered over the whole cardiac cycle. This allows review of aortic valve
morphologic features on static images at end systole and end diastole, measurement of aortic valve
surface area and the review of valve leaflet motion in cine mode. Inadequate coaptation of the valve
leaflets relates to regurgitation, and a confined opening relates to stenosis (Gilkeson et al., 2006).
Additionally, the more up to date prospective triggering technique gathers CT information just at a
specified point or cluster of points in the heart cycle, decreasing the time the CT beam is on to a
fraction of what it was with retrospective gating, thus considerably decreasing the radiation dose
(Shuman et al., 2008).
The development of MSCT with more than 16 detector rows has enabled

Essay on We Are All Equal
We are all born the same way: as humans, and therefore deserve the same rights and acceptance
as long as we all follow the laws and comply with the norms set to protect all individuals. But
throughout history certain groups of people have faced discrimination, segregation, and
injustice because they are of a specific race, skin color and/or culture that some of us consider to
be part of a lower category of human beings, as well as the fact of holding different beliefs and
ideals along with preferences when it comes to things such as gender and choice of lifestyle. My
only wonder is how an individual or a society as a whole reaches the point of producing enmity
towards others who do not hold the same sexual orientationas they do and how... Show more content

M. V. Lee Badgett mentions in his article What Obama Should Do About Workplace
Discrimination, that this would make a great first step on what concerns banning workplace
discrimination against homosexuals by federal contractors. If the government, the structural
system of our country, is not only willing to accept all but pose as a model of approval towards
all kinds of sexual orientations, then so should we, the people, who make part of the nation.
Discrimination against this group of people is unfortunate, but extremely common nowadays; more
and more individuals are being harassed, not compensated with adequate wages, and/or fired from
their jobs because of the way they sexually identify themselves. This strikes a fear in gay, lesbian,
bisexual, and transgender employees who feel as though they must produce more than the average
worker in order to not be affected or expelled from their jobs, often leading them to not take
illness days off, vacations, and to perhaps be more productive than the majority of their colleagues.
Badgett explains that by issuing an executive order against workplace discrimination, President
Obama will be able to gradually bring back equality to the nation, providing parallel opportunities
for all and reducing stress, fear, as well as death and unemployment rates in the gay community.
Words are sometimes more powerful than a physical attack! Roland

Compare And Contrasting Fama s Articles
Comparing and contrasting Fama s articles (1971, 1990), this work will critically assess the
development of EMH during the 1970 to 1991 period. Firstly, it provides the reader to a short
introduction to the EMH and to comparison the major changes between two articles. Thereafter,
the main focus will be concentrated on second article and its critical evaluation of results
obtained. The main purpose of the capital market is to provide the investors with accurate signals
for resource allocation. It is possible when market security prices do fully reflect available
information providing the opportunity to make production investment decisions. Such markets are
also called the efficient . A precondition for this is that information and trading costs equal to 0.
Moreover, the joint hypothesis problem is the main obstacle about market efficiency because it
must be tested jointly with some asset pricing models. In article of 1971, Fama categorised
market efficiency into three main forms. Weak form is based on the historical data of the stock
prices. The semi strong form tests how efficiently prices adapt to the publically available
information. The third form is concerned whether any given market participants having
monopolistic access to the creation of the stock prices. Final Draft Return Predictability: In short,
the new work rejects the old constant expected returns model that seems to perform well in the
early work. It is rejected due to such findings as

The Role Of Reverend Parris As A Minister
Being a Minister is a very important job, especially in the Salem area at that particular time.
Reverend Parris has little concern, if any for the spiritual welfare of his people. It is pointed out
that he barley mentions the Lord s name in his sermons; consequently, some people do not show
up to church. This may support the theory that he is not doing his job as minister. This may also
be part of the reason why the people of Salem do not like him. Reverend Parris is not an effective
minister and appears to only care about his image in Salem and his own well being. The first
reason Reverend Parris not an effective minister is that he seems to have little to no concern for
the spiritual well being of the people of Salem. This is confirmed

Thomas Fuller s Essay Of Anger
Throughout the essay Of Anger , Thomas Fuller argues that anger is a detrimental aspect to human
character. When people are experiencing anger, Thomas Fuller says that they are experiencing the
devil taking over them. The main theme in this essay is ways in which anger should not be
handled. The essay carefully and clearly evaluates ways to deal with angerwhile using many
illusions and examples that are persuasive to the reader. Thomas Fuller takes the universal concept
of anger and uses concrete arguments, literary devices and his persuasive techniques to convince
the reader that anger is a detrimental component of human character.
The structure of the essay Of Anger makes it easy for the reader to follow the arguments. It is
because ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The use of literary devices makes it more interesting for the reader and helps allow them to
clearly see Thomas argument. For example, Thomas references how when anger is heated and
passionate, it can reveal a bad side of humans. A quote from the essay states, Some men like a
tiled house are long before they take fire, but once on flame there is no coming to quench them.
(Pg. 21) This simile is trying to emphasize that when people become angry, they quickly take out
their anger into a big burst. The imagery of fire makes Thomas point more persuasive to the
reader, giving them a picture in their heads of someone getting angry looking like they are about
to explode. Another literary technique that was used is an allusion. The allusion of Narcissus
had a strong impact on the persuasion of the essay. Thomas says, Had Narcissus himself seen his
own face when he had been angry, he could have never fallen in love with himself (Pg. 21). For
the readers who don t know who Narcissus is, he was someone who was in love with his
reflection and self absorbed with his beauty. Saying that he would have never fallen in love with
himself if he wass angry helps show the reader that being angry brings out an ugly side of a person.
The use of smaller literary techniques like alliteration just adds enjoyment to the reader. For
example Thomas uses alliterations such as Foams, fumes and sometimes swallows, stares, stamps...

When people think about mathematicians, they typically refer to white, doctorate educated male.
However, there are more women budding into the field of mathematics. This paper will focus on
one special woman, an African American woman by the name of Evelyn Boyd Granville. She is not
the first African American woman to receive a doctorate in mathematics, but she, unlike Euphemia
Lofton Haynes, stayed more out of the educationfield and primarily worked for NASA,
contributing to many expeditions in space. Her contributions have inspired many young girls to
look into and pursue a career in the field of mathematics. Granville was born on May 1st, 1924,
to father William Boyd and mother Julia Walker Boyd. She was raised in Washington D.C. by her
mother and her aunt, both of whom worked as examiners for the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and

Westerfield perfectly portrays how we, as a society, see beauty. We see beauty as perfection, not
a line out of place, and this judgement came about due to our desire for perfection. When
picking up any magazine the front page is bound to be altered to show us how we should look.
Gone are the days where voluptuous, well rounded women are considered to be goddesses.
People in today s society see models and movie stars starve themselves until they believe they
are beautiful and Westerfield plays on this throughout the entire text. Tally sees herself as ugly
because she does not notice anything good about her, until she meets David. When anyone
compliments Tally she refuses to believe it as the truth, and it is unlikely that she has ever felt
attractive in her whole life. Westerfield only describes Tally the way she sees herself and
although it is in the third person the reader is given certain knowledge about what goes on
through Tally s mind which the reader does not have for any other character. At the beginning of
the text the reader is led to believe that Pretties have the idealistic life; beautiful with not a care in
the world but the reader may feel discomfort with how superficial it all seems. Nothing is wrong
with the way Tally looks and the reader can presume that she is quite naturally attractive after
receiving several compliments from two

The Ideas Of Women In Literature, By Siegfried Sassoon
Women in Literature Throughout generations women have been always been treated as second
class citizens in society. This concept is portrayed in many different novels from past
generations, it is shown how women had to live by societies will or else they would be out
casted and left in isolation. They were discredited, such as their help during the first Great War
and described unfavorably by men in literature and even some women in society. To society
women were to be homemakers, while the men were to do all the hard labor and provide food
for the family. Literature was a place where the divide was shown clearly. Many male writers
describe the female gender as weak willed and oblivious to the world around them. Men would
write women as fanciful and that they were made to please men. This is not the case when it came
to women writers, women would describe women as strong and in a positive favor. Women always
believed that with the right education they would be at an equal level to their male counter parts.
When it comes to a man writing about women they tend to be harsh and judgmental towards
women, describing them as foolish and ignorant to the world around them. During the twentieth
century ideas of women s rights were appearing but that did not stop the discrimination of women.
An example of this unjust idea, is a poem written by a twentieth century poet, named Siegfried
Sassoon. The poem is called Glory of Women and it is about the Great War and how women

The Consumption Of Cow Milk, It Has Become Highly Consumed...
Introduction Since the discovery of the nutritional benefits associated with the consumption of
cow s milk, it has become highly consumed within the western diet and worldwide (Kanekanian
2014). However, health concerns arose in the late nineteenth and early twentieth Centuries due
to an increase in infant mortality and milk borne illnesses relating to the consumption of raw
cow s milk (Knechtges 2012). This became an increasing public health concern and highlighted
the growing need to introduce and enforce laws and legalisations relating to the processing and
sale of cow s milk. In 1864 Louis Pasteur discovered pasteurisation was an effective processing
method for destroying pathogenic microorganisms responsible for foodborne illness present in
beverages; prolonging its life and quality (Brown 2015). Current laws and legislations now state
milk must undergo this process before being sold for retail sale and intended for human
consumption. Yet, there is still a growing demand for the sale of raw cow s milk due to beliefs in
greater nutritional benefits if consumed. This creates a growing public health concern to ensure
safe laws and legislations are in place and practice. This paper investigates the introduction of a
new milk processing technique allowing for the sale of raw milk which undergoes a high water
pressure processing (HPP) technique and whether it is an effective alternate processing method.
Moreover, it identifies the human health risks associated with the

Analysis Of I Am Waiting
American politics has proved to be flawed in structure over, and over again. Although our founding
fathers had the best intentions when they implemented democracy, they like most modern day
politicians, failed to actually make things better. Yes we gained our Independence, but with the
ability to make our own choices we tend to make childish and impulsive decisions. The election of
Donald Trumpstands to be the most recent of those mistakes, and the politicians who work for him
are either blinded or full of regret. Poets Lawrence Ferlinghetti and Robert Lowell paint vivid
pictures of these very mistakes that seem to recur with the thought of democracy.
More often than not we elect our President based on the changes he promises to deliver once in
office. Lawrence Ferlinghetti s poem titled I Am Waiting is a perfect example of those broken
promises. The poem discusses how he s waiting for the American dream to manifest itself. The
dream of freedom and equality in a place where our elected officials actually work for us, rather
than against us. You know he s talking about these things in the allusions he makes to the
Mayflower and the Western frontier. He says,
And I am waiting / for a rebirth of wonder / and I am waiting for someone / to really discover
America/ and wail/ The poem ends with Ferlinghetti waiting forever and constantly seeking change
similar to American citizens wishing and waiting for the same.
The citizens of this beauty we call the United States have

Ancient Athenian Democracy Is Not A Democracy
Democracy is a system of government by the whole population or all eligible members of a state,
typically through elected representatives. These members have the rights to vote, have well paying
jobs, and be able to serve their country during a war. However, in ancient Athens only a very small
population of citizens had the rights to do these things. In ancient Athens, the Athenian government
was not truly Democratic because only a little population of citizens could vote, the city can decide
whether or not you have the right to be a citizen, and only a few citizens had the full amount of
rights. In ancient Athen their total population was 240,775, also in ancient Athens, the total number
people allowed to vote is only 29,900. That is only 12% of the total population, this means that
88% of the total population does not have the right to vote. In Athens according to Professor Josiah
Ober, the only people allowed to vote are citizen men, everyone else including citizen women,
children of citizens, metics, and slaves did not have to right to vote, (Ober 5). This means the
government in ancient Athens is not a Democracybecause in a Democracy it states that either the
whole population or all eligible members, meaning citizens, of the state can vote or they can elect
representatives to vote. However, in ancient Athens the citizen men were not elected to vote, they
just have the right to vote. This means the government isn t a true Democracy because they didn t

The Fifth Season Sparknotes
Okay, so this is how this is going to work... The deep book review will be split into different
sections, one where I will dump a bunch of information about the storyline on the reader, another
where I will rant about what makes this book deep but not good, and, finally, another about the
author. The footnotes will be my way of interjecting Laszlo esque commentary on what would
normally be a more formal piece of writing without drastically altering the formality of the review.
Throughout the book, The Fifth Season changes from Syenite to Damaya to, finally, a character
referred to as you (as you might expect, all chapters written from you s perspective are written in
second person). As the book moves on, switching from character to character, similarities between
Syenite and Damaya start to appear, until, chapter seventeen, when it is revealed Damaya is just a
young Syenite. Towards the end, Syenite is revealed to be you (your name is Essun). So all along,

The Fifth Season is definitely interesting, however, I sort of enjoyed reading it because of its
complexity, and, as it is part of a series, it has a sequel. This sequel gives you a glimpse into what

Father Earth lost his favorite child, so, in an attempt to appease Father Earth, some of the stone
eaters decided they should try and get his favorite child, the moon back. So, the book ends with
Essun getting ready to catch the moon. Pure awesomeness aside, I feel like I liked it better when
things were confusing. The second book, The Obelisk Gate, doesn t contain as many of the
storyline scrambling mind blowing revelations that made the first one so interesting, so it has to
rely mostly on storyline. This means it is a bit more enjoyable to read, but it doesn t contain any of
the things that, in my mind, make The Fifth Season deep book

Analyzing Abortion Essay
Analyzing Abortion In 1973, Roe versus Wade instigated an ongoing debate in the United States
concerning the implementation of abortion (Rubin 1). Prior to Roe, abortion was illegal, however
it was practiced. In 1846, a few blocks south of Manhattan s Greenwich Village, Madame Restell
performed illegal abortions to cure female irregularities, or pregnancies (Rubin1). After Restell, a
group called Jane , also known as the Abortion Counseling Service of the Chicago Women s
Liberation Union, performed more than 11,000 illegal abortions from 1969 73 in Chicago alone
(Horst 1). Though the Court decision lawfully settled the argument, the abortion issuedeveloped

As of 1997, 49 countries, including many industrialized European countries, have abortion
legislations similar to the United States (Henshaw et al. 58).
The abortion debate is controversial because it predominantly centers on society s religious and
moral beliefs. Religion is the leading variable of individuals opposing legalized abortion in the
United States (Kelley). Furthermore, Kristin Luker believes that the moral positions of activists
on both sides of the abortion issue reflect their individual worldviews on sexuality, family life,
technology and the importance of the individual; however, the pro choice and pro life movements
are not effective in changing people s moral beliefs on abortion (Luker). The key issue our
candidate must address is the federal government s participation in funding state sponsored sex
education programs and greater coverage of abortion costs.
The public s stance on abortion has remained relatively stable since the Roe decision. Fifty six
percent of the general public feels that abortion should be legal in certain circumstances such as

Second Punic War Essay
The outcome of the second Punic War turned Rome into the single most powerful force in the
western Mediterranean. Indirectly, it also forced Rome to grow politically and militarily as it
learned to deal with acquisitions and powerful opponents beyond the Italian peninsula.
Direct Consequence of the Second Punic War (218 201)
(Morey, 1901a, Par. Battle of Zama and End of the War)
1. Carthage became a dependent state, loosing it s right to declare war without permission of Rome.
2. Carthage lost all lands in Spain, and was split up into the two Roman provinces of Hither and
Farther Spain which was then governed by a Roman praetor.
3. Carthage lost claim to all Mediterranean islands between Carthage and Italy.
4. Carthage was saddled with tribute of 200 talents payable for fifty fifty.
5. Masinissa was recognized as King of Numidia, and became a staunch ally of Rome.
6. Syracuse lost it s independence, and became a part of the Sicilian province.
Indirect Impacts of the War

and changed the Roman Strategies by attacking Carthage directly, thus forcing Hannibal (an

later spawn a revolt in Sicily (Morey, 1901a, Par. The Servile War in Sicily). Finally, a pattern of

The Key Teachings From The Catholic Church
One of the key teachings from the Catholic Church is that all human life is sacred. We know this
because we are all created in the image and likeness of God. In Genesis 1:26 27 it reveals, Then
God said, Let us make man in our image, in our likeness ... So God created man in his own image,
in the image of Godhe created him; male and female he created them . This means that we are what
we are because of God, we are spiritual because God is spirit: The Spirit of God was hovering over
the waters (Genesis 1:2)This is one of the many examples of how we are all created in the image of
God. We are all created to have the potential to express these godlike capacities distinctively
because God has made us all unique. As we are created in the image and likeness of God we reflect

Essay on Sealed Air Taiwan Case Analysis
Case Summary:
The central issue Sealed Air Taiwan is currently facing is how to determine if the newly hired,
Paul Huang, can produce the necessary sales results and whether he fits the mold for his position
as sales manager. Historically, Sealed Air Taiwan was struggling with both stagnant sales and high
operating costs. The branch was not adapting well to the Sealed Air s established business model
and there were even talks of shutting the branch down. Bob Kayser was brought in to turn things
around and quickly realized that the problem this branch was facing was a cultural divide between
Taiwanese beliefs and the current United States business model. After training and extensive work
improving the sales team, Kayser was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are, however, legitimate concerns if Huang s personality and management style will fit the
Sealed Air mold of what a sales manager needs to accomplish. Huang seems very data and numbers
driven, while Sealed Air was really looking for someone who could spend their time in the field
managing the representatives rather than analyzing data. Although some of Steinke s issues with
Huang seem to be mere cross cultural misunderstandings there does seem to be disconnected
between Huang s personal strengths and the desired expectations as a sales manager.
Recommendations:
It is our recommendation to remain with Huang and keep him in his current role as sales
manager. The first reason for this recommendation is that in the past Sealed Air and Kayser have
made the mistake of trying to solve the problems in Taiwan with American solutions. Steinke s
problems with Huang are primarily based on what is expected from an American sales manager.
He is not taking into consideration that Taiwanese employees are motivated by different types of
leaders and respond to different types of management styles. Kayser, for example, was only
successful when he gave up the idea of employee empowerment and realized that these employees
preferred to be given specific instructions.
Huang is also an appropriate fit for this role because he understands Chinese culture. He has already
been successful in a Chinese sales environment

risk aversion, cost of debt, cost of equity, firm s debt/equity mix, and firm s business risk.
Therefore, free cash flows and the weighted average cost of capital interact to determine a firm s

Wisdom In Siddhartha
As one matures through life he gets wiser and more knowledgeable. As Siddhartha s long life
journey was coming to a close, he too was becoming wiser and more knowledgeable. Siddhartha
learned that if you search your whole life for wisdom you will miss many steps along the way.
Siddhartha s revelation between the difference of wisdom and knowledgecorresponds with his other
discovery which is the difference between finding and seeking. This has been the guide for his way
of life. These differences he has discovered are the main reasons for having several teachers and a
radical lifestyle. Furthermore, this revelation has made a distinct separation between Siddhartha

Govinda, who has spent time with both the Illustrious One and Siddhartha, thought his teachings
were strange saying, His ideas may be strange, his words may sound foolish, but his glance and his
hand, his skin and his hair, all radiate a purity, peace, serenity, gentleness and saintliness which I
have never seen in any man since the recent death of our illustrious teacher (148). This shows even
though Govinda thinks Siddhartha methods are strange compared to Gautama, he believes
Siddhartha has without a doubt reached enlightenment. Siddhartha believes Gautama had only
taught Govinda to be knowledgeable, while he himself has become wise. This is because the
Illustrious one only taught Govinda how to seek which should be the destination and not what you
learn on your journey. This is just one of many examples where Siddhartha and the Illustrious One
disagreed. Others were love, and the belief in Nirvana. Siddhartha thought love was the most
important belief while Gautama thought this was a great sin and when Govinda heard Siddhartha s
proclamation he said, He forbade us to bind ourselves to earthly love (147). Furthermore,
Siddhartha thought Nirvana and Samsara were not real. Buddhist believe that one who reaches
Nirvana has finally broken the cycle of death and rebirth called Samsara. Siddhartha

Pros And Cons Of Women In The Military
Women in the Military Women being in the military has become more prevalent in the last few
decades, but are they helping or hurting the military by doing so? Women being allowed in the
military dates all the way back to World War I where women would serve as nurses to aid
wounded soldiers (Wood). Now, women are allowed to serve in different roles, combat being one of
them. There is controversy whether the militaryis a place for women, but research shows pros and
cons to both sides. Even though women were not allowed to enlist in the military until World War
I, they would disguise themselves as men in earlier wars such as the Revolutionary, Civil and
Mexican War in order to be apart of the military. The Navy and Marine Corps were... Show more

Although, one concern for women being allowed to serve in a combat occupation is sexual
harassment. The issue regarding sexual harassment has become more prevalent in the past decade
because military personnel is having more faith in the military to investigate such accusations
accordingly. Just last year, 6,131 sexual assault reports were filed with the DoD. In 2007, the
number of sexual assault filings were half of what they were last year which makes the DoD
believe the implications about sexual harassment they have put into place are working (Whitlock).
Whitlock s article states that an extreme amount of alcohol consumption is one of the leading
causes of sexual harassment cases, but there is no specificity on whether the cases are against men
or women. Sexual harassment has often been focused more on women being victims, but men can
be victims of such crimes as well. That is why the military has implemented a variety of methods
into the regular military training regarding sexual harassment and the repercussions of such actions.
On another note, there are studies that show women are more organized, creative thinkers and have
better social sensitivity skills than men (Haring). Haring s work explains that women are better at
reading people s emotions, therefore using that intel to make more

Prosecutors and judges are two of the primary actors in the courts. Prosecutors, judges and over

Education Support For Disabled Students
As a future educator, it is essential to note the critical issue that has been floundering about
throughout the school system, the insufficient educational support for disabled students. This
critical issue is not only present in the United Stated, but it has also moved beyond our boundaries.
Whether a schoolsystem simply does not provide the necessary services a student requires, there is
a lack of movement toward a least restrictive environment, or a school simple does not feel the need

If a teacher of a special education classroom is working with 15 different students who have
different learning styles and needs, that makes the teacher s position very difficult, especially if
they did not receive the needed training in order to do so (Petersen, 2016). It is essential to serve
every single one of our students (whether they have a disability or not), however if a educational
system is not properly training their teachers, who are then not providing the needed adjustments
for the lesson, then the entire school system is providing insufficient educational support for their
disabled students, and for every student for that matter. The fact that insufficient training is
occurring is only the surface of the issue, school system are also lacking in the movement towards
a least restrictive environment. Through the implementation of IDEA, schools need to work with

Evaluation of Euripides Essay
Evaluation of Euripides Euripides has met the conventions of Attic Tragedy up to a particular
extent. Although he was often criticised for his work, he followed the structure and cycles of the
traditional tragedy. However, his stance on the themes and ideas set him apart from the other writers.
It is unreasonable to compare Euripides with the traditional writers of Attic tragedy without
understanding his attitude and the reason for this attitude. Although he was only fifteen years older
than Sophocles, he belonged to a whole different generation. Between them lay the chasm of the
Sophists moment. The Sophists were ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Attic tragedian plays traditionally follow a predetermined structure and cycle. This convention was
used to characterise the play. In Euripides Medea, we see this tradition upheld. Essentially, the play
was split into five cycles, consisting of the Olbos, Hubris, Pythos, AtГ© and Nemesis. In Medea,
the ideas run parallel with these cycle and conventions are maintained.
However, in the Pythos cycle, rather than focusing on the gods divine envy, he focuses on an all
too human aspect jealousy. Medea is overcome with jealousy after Jason takes another woman as
his wife. Once again, Euripides has abandoned the conventional ideas and replaced it with his own
thoughts.
On the other hand, Euripides maintains the structure of the play in traditional convention, and his
play follows closely with the Prologos, Parados, Episodia, Stasima and Exodus.
But, to analyse the play, we must look closely at what conventions Euripides has used, as well as
how he has used them.
The Chorus was an essential part of every play. As such Euripides has used a chorus in his play to
represent the Corinthian women. However, in other tragedies, the chorus played a much mor,
detached role. They were important as narrators of commentators to what was actually occurring.
But in Euripides

The Effects Of Texting On The Age Of Texting By Natalie Moore
Introduction: Advocates of texting promote the concept of easy communication, but the opposing
view point emphasizes the decline in social ability as an effect of texting. Texting can be abused
almost effortlessly. Communication via thumb has become so prominent that it is constantly used
for practically any task. Are you in an argument with someone? Just text them and ignore the in
person confrontation; it s much easier. Many have seen relationships both friendly and romantic
decline due to the replacement of social interaction with a screen. In the passage, Rule of Thumbs:
Love in the Age of Texting by Natalie Moore, Moore s informal diction, humorous anecdotes and
outside sources back up the disadvantages of technology.
Outside Sources: Moore s outside sources, some with opinions that are opposite to her own, are
included to enhance the credibility of her negative view against texting. In efforts to support her
observations, Moore included the opinion of Joy Weaver who said texting cannot replace the
human voice or touch (172). Not only does Moore include external sources that back up her
stance, she involved opposing viewpoints to get both sides of the argument. Barb Iverson, a
Columbia College Chicago professor, elaborated on two types of individuals: digital immigrants
and digital natives (173). Digital immigrants represent the older portion of the nation; the ones who
are new to technology. Digital natives are the younger generations; the ones who were born

as having dark blond hair and does not recollect facial hair. (UMUC, 2015) William, a 6 4 male,
witnesses the incident; he saw the man walk rapidly toward Vicky and grab her purse. He had a
good view of the assailant the entire time. He describes the assailant as, a white male,

By displaying similar looking people on the photo spread you could ensure that the witness is
choosing the correct one. If the officer does not have a suspect, she may show witnesses a mug
book, beat book, or other compilation of photographs. These usually have so many photographs
in them that suggestiveness is rarely an issue. (Module 2, 2015) The photo spread should also
display 6 8 photos when trying to identify just one suspect. Also when trying to display the photo
spread, the people shown in the photos that are selected must be of the same race, age, general
physical characteristics, and sex as the suspect. Hair style, facial hair, and other facial features
should be similar. If the suspect has close cropped hair, it would be improper to include fill ins
with bushy hair. The background and tone of the photographs should also be similar to preclude
any particular photograph standing out. It is not necessary for the images in the spread to be
clones, but the photos should be similar enough in appearance to ensure a reliable identification.
(Module 2, 2015) When compiling or displaying a photo spread to a witness the officer should use
the NIJ Guidelines as their standard. The National Institute of Justice wrote Eyewitness Evidence:
A Guide for Law Enforcement. This set of guidelines is an important tool for refining investigative
practices dealing with this evidence as we continue our search for truth. (National Institute of
Justice, 1999)

Participation Of South Sinai s Local Residents
Participation of South Sinai s Local Residents in Sustainable Tourism Development
Waleed Radwan Mahfouz Ibrahim Mohammed Aly Youssef
Tourism Studies Department Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management Helwan University
Abstract
Tourism development has major impacts on local residents and their participation in tourism
development plays a vital role in its success. Although, there is substantial literature related to local
residents participation in tourism development, it mainly focuses on developed countries or mature
tourism destinations in developing countries. There is lack of literature on local residents
participation in developing countries, especially where tourism development is new. Decision
makers and planners often, in the developing countries where tourism development is new, tend to
involve public and private sectors without a full consideration of local residents participation in
tourism development. This research explores local residents participation in tourism development
in South Sinai in Egypt.
Although South Sinai is endowed with all the elements of a highly competitive tourism destination
rich culture and heritage and virgin lands waiting to be explored, local residents do not benefit by
participation in tourism development. This is due to the lack of experience among key stakeholders.
Two main phases of fieldwork and data collection were conducted: The first phase: involves in
depth, one to one, semi structured interviews

Eunuchs
In the medieval Islamdom, the government was to employ castration, mandatory celibacy and
kidnapping to procure loyal eunuchs to serve in pre eminent governmental positions. Thus, this
social practice was to destroy existing family, affiliation and to deploy them into a less
organizationally threatening status; by creating a family like atmosphere within their place of duty.
But how can this be related or applied to humanoid robots? Especially, in accordance to Leopoldina
Fortunati, the book author of what happened to body to body sociability that one of the problems
that coincide in artificial intelligence; the bond between companionability and information and
communication technologies. Social bond and relationship are arbitrarily used synonymously with
sociability, creating much confusion because they refer to different beliefs, she pointed. The
correlation between eunuchs and humanoid robots can be construed via their servitude, cohorts in
the Islamic empires; as governmental entitlement and incentives had often permitted the eunuchs, to

The justification was to extricate the dysfunctional behavior like greed and egotism, To inaugurate
an alternative network that promotes new identifications and values suitable for the organizational
tasks. This latter point can sustain scientists to reconsider the importance of teamwork and an
ecosystem, by which it suits for humanoid robots to function via the social hierarchy diagram. This

Christian Dior and Alexander McQueen
There are many designers in the fashion industry. Few make some kind of an impact on fashion
but most designers rarely have any impact at all. It is truly a once in a generation that designer
comes along and completely alters the fashion universe and becomes a legend. Two examples of
fashion designers that are this rare are Christian Dior and Alexander McQueen. Christian Dior s life
span was before mine but his great impact on the fashion industry carries on today into my
lifetime. Alexander McQueen, however is someone I have lived to see develop and become one of
the greatest designers of all time. Although these two designers differ in ... Show more content on

McQueen was openly gay at age 8 and was often teased in school by other kids. Alexander
McQueen, whose real name is actually Lee Alexander McQueen, knew that he wanted to pursue a
career in fashion design. At age 16 he dropped out of school and went to work at the traditional
Savile Row for Anderson and Sheppard and Gieves and Hawkes. He then went to work for theatre
costume makers Angels and Bermans where he learned the sharp tailoring that has become a
distinct signature of his and the theatrics in his design that make them so iconic. He then traveled to
Milan to work for Italian designer Romero Gigli. In 1992 he returned to London to receive his
masters in Fashion Design. This led to his discovery by aristocratic style guru and former editor
of Vogue, Isabella Blow, who would go on to become a lifetime friend and mentor of McQueen.
Blow assisted McQueen in making all the right connections and helped him find commercial
success while staying true to his artistic vision. She was the one who convinced Lee to adopt his
middle name as the name of his label. Like Christian Dior, McQueen has had a huge impact on the
fashion industry and created wild buzz with his designs. Although Dior had a much more classic
and feminine style and McQueen s designs were way more over the top, theatrical and edgy, these
were the designs that made heads turn. McQueen s

The Waterfront By Terry Malloy
Terry Malloy is a dock worker for the union and in this story, this is the first main point of why
he is being controlled by the MOB. In one scene, where Terry is in the office, Terry is being
treated as a child towards Johnny and it makes him feel overwhelmed. Also, out on the docks,
his bosses treats Terry poorly because they are rude to him and it make him work very hard to
earn his pay. For an example, pigeons, on the other hand, is a symbol that represents the life that
Terry wants because he wishes he was free from the union, to be like a pigeon, and the reason is
that he says, they got it made, they eat all they want, fly around like crazy, sleep side by side, and
raise gobs of squads (On the Waterfront). Another thing about pigeons, is that they are beautiful
creatures that can be seen from power lines and in large fields too. The last part about being
controlled by the MOB is because there is a good side about it because this is when Terry is
feeding the pigeons, he is happy, and he is away from the MOB.... Show more content on

The first thing that makes him upset is when the bosses doesn t share the income with the
workers because they keep them for themselves. Another thing is because Terry is upset that
Joey is dead because he lured Joey by telling him, I ll bring him up to your loft, but the result was
a death trap (On the Waterfront). Also, on the other hand, Father Barry is another character that
Terry did not like because Terry was a murder which made him very upset, and this is because he
explains to Father Barry about keepin silent when you know the score (On the Waterfront). The
last thing is that Terry did see a lot of deaths which the hooks might be Terry s end, but this is
when he is going to do something about his bosses actions towards the

Accusations And Rumors In What Nietzsche Really Said
German philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche, is one of the most read, least understood yet influential
thinker who brought forth new questions for many philosophers to follow. There are many
accusations and rumors around Nietzsche. In What Nietzsche Really Said these accusations and
rumors that surrounded Nietzsche are allayed and supported by his impact and influential views.
What Nietzsche really said depends on what one reads and how one interpret what ones reads thus,
the interpretation of these accusations and rumors are either helpful or harmful about Nietzsche.
Three helpful rumors about Nietzsche is that he adored power, he was a (pre) postmodernist and
argued fallaciously. Although he was apolitical, people believed that his will... Show more content

Although Nietzsche s works were published way before he became mentally ill, people
questioned as to why they should believe a mad man? What man would protect a horse from
being beaten by its driver? Scholars also claimed that they had detected some craziness in his
last book, Ecce Homo. Ironically, as a madman , some of the title of the chapters in Ecce Homo
are Why I Am So Clever, Why I Am So Wise, etc. This assumption led to the hesitation to follow
Nietzsche. Having to also be accused of a Nazi, his sister(whom followed Hitler) influenced
Nietzsche s political views when he went mad. Futhermore, this lead to the rumor of Nietzsche
favoring Eugenics, which favored those with desirable characteristics and annihilating those
without them. Nietzsche favoring Eugenics was a misunderstanding, he favored a breeding race
that was more intelligent, creative, and less resentful... As stated in the passage, he did not practice
Eugenics due to a lack of a child. Lastly, the influence of Nietzsche s Ubermensch lead two students
to kill a child in order to reveal their inner Ubermensch. Ubermensch represents one s overcoming;
to become more than what you are, to be great, and to let go of things that causes a distraction to
fulfill Ubermensch. Nietzsche should not be punished for one s stupidity and misinterpretation. In

Examples Of Power In A Tale Of Two Cities
The poet, Percy Bysshe Shelly once wrote Power, like a desolating pestilence, /Pollutes whate er
it touches. This statement is valid because in there have been many people in the world who have
been granted power, and have abused that power. In the historical novel A Tale of Two Cities by
Charles Dickens, there are many examples where the characters go mad with power. Marquis d
EvrГ©monde, Madame Defarge, and the Jacques are the few characters who show this quality
more than others.
For example, Marquis d EvrГ©monde. He is an aristocrat who lives a luxurious life who
servants wait on him and obey his every command. He has no problems whatsoever because he
has the money to get out of any situation. Monsieur the Marquis rides into town in his carriage
when a sudden jolt and screams from the people outside make the carriage come to a halt. He
learns that he has run over a small child. The father of the recently deceased child, weeps and

against the aristocracy. Once the Jacques arrive at the Bastille, Monsieur Defarge demands to see

(Dickens 209) rather than letting the guard finish saying what he needs to say; signifying that
even though the Jacques have complete power, they still feel the need to be malice. Once inside
the tower, the Jacques start destroying the cell and burning everything that was inside, and later
march up the streets of Saint Antoine and murdering every governor. In book the third, there is a

of his uncle, Marquis d EvrГ©monde. People on the streets use a grindstone to assassinate the

Cilia Is An Irreducibly Complex System
Irreducible Complexity is an idea sparked debates with scientists for generations. This is the notion
that a complex part of an organism could not have evolved over a long period of time since it
would not have contained all the key components to keep it functioning. Darwin himself knew that
his theory of evolutionwas hanging by a thread when he said, If it could be demonstrated that any
complex organism existed that could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive,
slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down. One of these irreducible complex
organisms is Cilia. Cilia are hair like structures that are usually used to move structures around
inside of an organism within liquids. The cilia are consequently able... Show more content on

We could not just have the microtubules for they cannot not bend, it would not make any sense to
have bridges because the microtubules would still not bend, and if we only had the arms that
move the microtubules they would just break apart from each other because there were no
bonding bridges . As we can see, the cilia are an irreducibly complex system.
Another irreducibly complex system is the eye. The eye is a complex system made up of multiple
different functions. The eye consists of Cornea, the Iris, the lens, the Retina, and Optic Nerve. The
Cornea is a tough outer shell around the outside of the eye. This refracts light as it enters the eye.
The Iris controls how much light enters the pupil. The Lens focuses light into the retina. The
Retina is where the light receptors are. The Optic Nerve sends the images back to the brain where
they form an image.
So, as you can see, every one of these functions is needed to complete a functioning eye. It would
be hard to see how the eye could have done its job effectively if it evolved slowly over time. Each
one of these parts is very fragile and even the smallest altercation could destroy all

Company Q and Social Responsibility
Company Q and Social Responsibility
EST1
Evaluation Company Q s attitude toward social responsibility reflects a negative reputation on them
as a corporation in their current community. The geographical location in a major metropolitan area
should sustain the business with a solid consumer base and maintain reliance of current investors.
However, they closed two stores in high crime areas for consistently losing profits, waning investor
trust and damaging employee faith. The decision to close the stores limits their ability to be
socially responsible to its stakeholders and potentially contributes to the areas crime level.

The company can use these requests to poll which products that the customers would most likely
want to purchase. This way Company Q can zero in on satisfying their customers and eliminate
products that have the least amount of demand. A second opportunity that presents itself is
establishing new supplier relationships within the local community by generating partnerships
between Company Q and organic producers. By the company forming new relationships with local
producers the local economy is strengthened and new development encouraged in the community.
The purchase of organic products from local vendors will also keep transportation expenses down
and Company Q can then forward that savings to customers by offering lower prices.Company Q
would benefit greatly from this action by offering a broader range of health conscience products
and partnering with local suppliers. These relationships will supplement Company Q in changing
their approach to being socially responsible.
Action 3 A third recommendation is to revisit the decision of donating day old products to the area
s local food banks. By denying the request all together and opting to toss out the day old products
is damaging to Company Q s image. The company needs to exhibit accountability to society by
supporting their local food bank illustrating community support by offering day old products to
their local food bank. Company Q should then monitor donations with a checks and balances system

Alcohol Related Windows On Simmel s Social World Summary
Alcohol Related Windows on Simmel s Social World by William J. Staudenmeier Jr. from the
text, Illuminating Social Life, dives into the topic of alcohol and how its role in society can be
directly reflected back to Simmel s work. The text was introduced by explaining how alcohol has
been a major influence throughout American history and how it has shaped the interactions of
difference cultures, races and ethnicities by characterizing drinking as conflict between coexisting
value structures (98). Simmel s ideas about the core differences between dyads and triads was
applied in the context of how group interaction significantly changed when the role of alcohol
becomes a factor to socializing. Three different group stratifications can be seen... Show more

The focus was the tavern in particular because there are five types: skid row, the downtown bar
/lounge, drink and dine, club and neighborhood dive (102 103). The types of interactions that
each of these locations presents is unique in its own way, for example the club is ideal for
couples and attractive to women because of the location and aesthetics the location provides,
unlike the club the skid row tavern is known for business exchanges among prostitutes and those
that go solo to the bar. These locations present clientele that is specific to what that location
provides to the social structure, the neighborhood dive will consist of typical regulars but the club
has a regular crowd of strangers (105). The interaction can be further discussed by the concept of
subordinate and superordination between waitresses and those that work in these places. The
bartenders have the position of the top dog since they are the ones that are providing the liquor to
the clientele, they chose how to make the drinks and in end the waitresses/waiters will have to deal

Multiple Signs Of Infection, Retinal Vascular Sheathing...
Our patient presented with multiple signs of infection, which can t initially be pinpointed to one
disease alone. The three important signs to initially address and understand the science behind are
perivasculitis, retinal vascular sheathing and retinal hemorrhages. All three medical definitions
appear straightforward and all very similar, but the combination of the three leads to a serious
diagnosis and urgency for this patient.
Perivasculitis is an inflammation of a sheath surrounding the tissue 1. In class we discussed the
differences between perivasculitis and periflabitis. Perivasculitis should be white because of the
inflammation and the white blood cells then spilling out. The Prefix peri means around, or on the
outside of the tissue. Retinal vascular sheathing is sheathing or cuffing of blood vessels and
vitreous cells . The swelling or cuffing of blood vessels in the retinal layer is a serious condition
and is often associated with vasculitis. Finally, a retinal hemorrhage is abnormal bleeding of the
vessels in the retina 2. Retinal hemorrhages can be caused for a variety of reasons such as
injuries like forceful blows or accidents and falls, as well as adverse health conditions. We know
that the loss of vision can be largely attributed to the excess debris that is currently located in the
eye, the debris being blood that is leaking out. Our case states that he has no previous trauma
however, proving that there is an ulterior cause to the acute onset of the

  • 2. The Thoracic Ventricle II MDCT angiography of the thoracic aorta: At the point when an acute aortic syndrome (AAS) is suspected (owing either to clinical manifestations or to chest radiographic findings), non enhanced CT is usually done first to search a high attenuation acute intramural hematoma (IMH). The contrast enhanced scanning, which take after is the key part of the CT examination. The right timing of the entry of contrast material in the aorta is basic to picture quality. Approaches to accomplishing this incorporate a timing bolus or a bolus tracking technique (Kazerooni et al, 2009). Technical procedures: Previously, ECG gating has fundamentally been retrospective gating with which information are gathered over the whole cardiac cycle. This allows review of aortic valve morphologic features on static images at end systole and end diastole, measurement of aortic valve surface area and the review of valve leaflet motion in cine mode. Inadequate coaptation of the valve leaflets relates to regurgitation, and a confined opening relates to stenosis (Gilkeson et al., 2006). Additionally, the more up to date prospective triggering technique gathers CT information just at a specified point or cluster of points in the heart cycle, decreasing the time the CT beam is on to a fraction of what it was with retrospective gating, thus considerably decreasing the radiation dose (Shuman et al., 2008). Essay on We Are All Equal We are all born the same way: as humans, and therefore deserve the same rights and acceptance as long as we all follow the laws and comply with the norms set to protect all individuals. But throughout history certain groups of people have faced discrimination, segregation, and injustice because they are of a specific race, skin color and/or culture that some of us consider to be part of a lower category of human beings, as well as the fact of holding different beliefs and ideals along with preferences when it comes to things such as gender and choice of lifestyle. My only wonder is how an individual or a society as a whole reaches the point of producing enmity towards others who do not hold the same sexual orientationas they do and how... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... M. V. Lee Badgett mentions in his article What Obama Should Do About Workplace Discrimination, that this would make a great first step on what concerns banning workplace discrimination against homosexuals by federal contractors. If the government, the structural system of our country, is not only willing to accept all but pose as a model of approval towards all kinds of sexual orientations, then so should we, the people, who make part of the nation. Discrimination against this group of people is unfortunate, but extremely common nowadays; more and more individuals are being harassed, not compensated with adequate wages, and/or fired from their jobs because of the way they sexually identify themselves. This strikes a fear in gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender employees who feel as though they must produce more than the average worker in order to not be affected or expelled from their jobs, often leading them to not take illness days off, vacations, and to perhaps be more productive than the majority of their colleagues. Badgett explains that by issuing an executive order against workplace discrimination, President Obama will be able to gradually bring back equality to the nation, providing parallel opportunities for all and reducing stress, fear, as well as death and unemployment rates in the gay community. Words are sometimes more powerful than a physical attack! Roland ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Reverend Parris has little concern, if any for the spiritual welfare of his people. It is pointed out that he barley mentions the Lord s name in his sermons; consequently, some people do not show up to church. This may support the theory that he is not doing his job as minister. This may also be part of the reason why the people of Salem do not like him. Reverend Parris is not an effective minister and appears to only care about his image in Salem and his own well being. The imagery of fire makes Thomas point more persuasive to the reader, giving them a picture in their heads of someone getting angry looking like they are about to explode. Westerfield perfectly portrays how we, as a society, see beauty. We see beauty as perfection, not a line out of place, and this judgement came about due to our desire for perfection. When picking up any magazine the front page is bound to be altered to show us how we should look. Gone are the days where voluptuous, well rounded women are considered to be goddesses. People in today s society see models and movie stars starve themselves until they believe they are beautiful and Westerfield plays on this throughout the entire text. Tally sees herself as ugly because she does not notice anything good about her, until she meets David. When anyone compliments Tally she refuses to believe it as the truth, and it is unlikely that she has ever felt attractive in her whole life. Westerfield only describes Tally the way she sees herself and although it is in the third person the reader is given certain knowledge about what goes on through Tally s mind which the reader does not have for any other character. At the beginning of the text the reader is led to believe that Pretties have the idealistic life; beautiful with not a care in the world but the reader may feel discomfort with how superficial it all seems. • 15. The Ideas Of Women In Literature, By Siegfried Sassoon Women in Literature Throughout generations women have been always been treated as second class citizens in society. This concept is portrayed in many different novels from past generations, it is shown how women had to live by societies will or else they would be out casted and left in isolation. They were discredited, such as their help during the first Great War and described unfavorably by men in literature and even some women in society. To society women were to be homemakers, while the men were to do all the hard labor and provide food for the family. Literature was a place where the divide was shown clearly. Many male writers describe the female gender as weak willed and oblivious to the world around them. Men would write women as fanciful and that they were made to please men. This is not the case when it came to women writers, women would describe women as strong and in a positive favor. Women always believed that with the right education they would be at an equal level to their male counter parts. When it comes to a man writing about women they tend to be harsh and judgmental towards women, describing them as foolish and ignorant to the world around them. During the twentieth century ideas of women s rights were appearing but that did not stop the discrimination of women. An example of this unjust idea, is a poem written by a twentieth century poet, named Siegfried Sassoon. The poem is called Glory of Women and it is about the Great War and how women supposedly ... • 16. The Consumption Of Cow Milk, It Has Become Highly Consumed... Introduction Since the discovery of the nutritional benefits associated with the consumption of cow s milk, it has become highly consumed within the western diet and worldwide (Kanekanian 2014). However, health concerns arose in the late nineteenth and early twentieth Centuries due to an increase in infant mortality and milk borne illnesses relating to the consumption of raw cow s milk (Knechtges 2012). This became an increasing public health concern and highlighted the growing need to introduce and enforce laws and legalisations relating to the processing and sale of cow s milk. In 1864 Louis Pasteur discovered pasteurisation was an effective processing method for destroying pathogenic microorganisms responsible for foodborne illness present in beverages; prolonging its life and quality (Brown 2015). Current laws and legislations now state milk must undergo this process before being sold for retail sale and intended for human consumption. Yet, there is still a growing demand for the sale of raw cow s milk due to beliefs in greater nutritional benefits if consumed. This creates a growing public health concern to ensure safe laws and legislations are in place and practice. This paper investigates the introduction of a new milk processing technique allowing for the sale of raw milk which undergoes a high water pressure processing (HPP) technique and whether it is an effective alternate processing method. • 17. Analysis Of I Am Waiting American politics has proved to be flawed in structure over, and over again. Although our founding fathers had the best intentions when they implemented democracy, they like most modern day politicians, failed to actually make things better. Yes we gained our Independence, but with the ability to make our own choices we tend to make childish and impulsive decisions. The election of Donald Trumpstands to be the most recent of those mistakes, and the politicians who work for him are either blinded or full of regret. Poets Lawrence Ferlinghetti and Robert Lowell paint vivid pictures of these very mistakes that seem to recur with the thought of democracy. More often than not we elect our President based on the changes he promises to deliver once in office. Lawrence Ferlinghetti s poem titled I Am Waiting is a perfect example of those broken promises. The poem discusses how he s waiting for the American dream to manifest itself. The dream of freedom and equality in a place where our elected officials actually work for us, rather than against us. You know he s talking about these things in the allusions he makes to the Mayflower and the Western frontier. He says, And I am waiting / for a rebirth of wonder / and I am waiting for someone / to really discover America/ and wail/ The poem ends with Ferlinghetti waiting forever and constantly seeking change similar to American citizens wishing and waiting for the same. • 20. Ancient Athenian Democracy Is Not A Democracy Democracy is a system of government by the whole population or all eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives. These members have the rights to vote, have well paying jobs, and be able to serve their country during a war. However, in ancient Athens only a very small population of citizens had the rights to do these things. In ancient Athens, the Athenian government was not truly Democratic because only a little population of citizens could vote, the city can decide whether or not you have the right to be a citizen, and only a few citizens had the full amount of rights. In ancient Athen their total population was 240,775, also in ancient Athens, the total number people allowed to vote is only 29,900. That is only 12% of the total population, this means that 88% of the total population does not have the right to vote. In Athens according to Professor Josiah Ober, the only people allowed to vote are citizen men, everyone else including citizen women, children of citizens, metics, and slaves did not have to right to vote, (Ober 5). This means the government in ancient Athens is not a Democracybecause in a Democracy it states that either the whole population or all eligible members, meaning citizens, of the state can vote or they can elect representatives to vote. However, in ancient Athens the citizen men were not elected to vote, they just have the right to vote. This means the government isn t a true Democracy because they didn t elect ... The deep book review will be split into different sections, one where I will dump a bunch of information about the storyline on the reader, another where I will rant about what makes this book deep but not good, and, finally, another about the author. The footnotes will be my way of interjecting Laszlo esque commentary on what would normally be a more formal piece of writing without drastically altering the formality of the review. Throughout the book, The Fifth Season changes from Syenite to Damaya to, finally, a character referred to as you (as you might expect, all chapters written from you s perspective are written in second person). As the book moves on, switching from character to character, similarities between Syenite and Damaya start to appear, until, chapter seventeen, when it is revealed Damaya is just a young Syenite. Towards the end, Syenite is revealed to be you (your name is Essun). So all along, when you thought you were reading the story of three different ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Well, Father Earth lost his favorite child, so, in an attempt to appease Father Earth, some of the stone eaters decided they should try and get his favorite child, the moon back. So, the book ends with Essun getting ready to catch the moon. Pure awesomeness aside, I feel like I liked it better when things were confusing. The abortion debate is controversial because it predominantly centers on society s religious and moral beliefs. Religion is the leading variable of individuals opposing legalized abortion in the United States (Kelley). Furthermore, Kristin Luker believes that the moral positions of activists on both sides of the abortion issue reflect their individual worldviews on sexuality, family life, technology and the importance of the individual; however, the pro choice and pro life movements are not effective in changing people s moral beliefs on abortion (Luker). The key issue our candidate must address is the federal government s participation in funding state sponsored sex education programs and greater coverage of abortion costs. The branch was not adapting well to the Sealed Air s established business model and there were even talks of shutting the branch down. Although some of Steinke s issues with Huang seem to be mere cross cultural misunderstandings there does seem to be disconnected between Huang s personal strengths and the desired expectations as a sales manager. Recommendations: It is our recommendation to remain with Huang and keep him in his current role as sales manager. The first reason for this recommendation is that in the past Sealed Air and Kayser have made the mistake of trying to solve the problems in Taiwan with American solutions. Steinke s problems with Huang are primarily based on what is expected from an American sales manager. He is not taking into consideration that Taiwanese employees are motivated by different types of leaders and respond to different types of management styles. Education Support For Disabled Students As a future educator, it is essential to note the critical issue that has been floundering about throughout the school system, the insufficient educational support for disabled students. If a teacher of a special education classroom is working with 15 different students who have different learning styles and needs, that makes the teacher s position very difficult, especially if they did not receive the needed training in order to do so (Petersen, 2016). It is essential to serve every single one of our students (whether they have a disability or not), however if a educational system is not properly training their teachers, who are then not providing the needed adjustments for the lesson, then the entire school system is providing insufficient educational support for their disabled students, and for every student for that matter. Although he was often criticised for his work, he followed the structure and cycles of the traditional tragedy. However, his stance on the themes and ideas set him apart from the other writers. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Attic tragedian plays traditionally follow a predetermined structure and cycle. This convention was used to characterise the play. In Euripides Medea, we see this tradition upheld. Essentially, the play was split into five cycles, consisting of the Olbos, Hubris, Pythos, AtГ© and Nemesis. In Medea, the ideas run parallel with these cycle and conventions are maintained. However, in the Pythos cycle, rather than focusing on the gods divine envy, he focuses on an all too human aspect jealousy. Medea is overcome with jealousy after Jason takes another woman as his wife. Once again, Euripides has abandoned the conventional ideas and replaced it with his own thoughts. On the other hand, Euripides maintains the structure of the play in traditional convention, and his play follows closely with the Prologos, Parados, Episodia, Stasima and Exodus. But, to analyse the play, we must look closely at what conventions Euripides has used, as well as how he has used them. The Chorus was an essential part of every play. The Effects Of Texting On The Age Of Texting By Natalie Moore Introduction: Advocates of texting promote the concept of easy communication, but the opposing view point emphasizes the decline in social ability as an effect of texting. Texting can be abused almost effortlessly. Communication via thumb has become so prominent that it is constantly used for practically any task. Are you in an argument with someone? Just text them and ignore the in person confrontation; it s much easier. Many have seen relationships both friendly and romantic decline due to the replacement of social interaction with a screen. In the passage, Rule of Thumbs: Love in the Age of Texting by Natalie Moore, Moore s informal diction, humorous anecdotes and outside sources back up the disadvantages of technology. Outside Sources: Moore s outside sources, some with opinions that are opposite to her own, are included to enhance the credibility of her negative view against texting. In efforts to support her observations, Moore included the opinion of Joy Weaver who said texting cannot replace the human voice or touch (172). Not only does Moore include external sources that back up her stance, she involved opposing viewpoints to get both sides of the argument. The swelling or cuffing of blood vessels in the retinal layer is a serious condition and is often associated with vasculitis. Finally, a retinal hemorrhage is abnormal bleeding of the vessels in the retina 2.
