My Choice Of Organization Is Leaning Toward The Floating...
My choice of organization is leaning towards the Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center. I
have learned so much about the organization as a solid partner of Tufts NEMC during one of my Strategic
and Planning Management classes. Similar to Tufts NEMC, the Floating Hospital for Children has a rich
history as it was established in 1894 as a hospital ship, sailing in Boston Harbor. Back then, people believed
that fresh air was the most favorable alternative in treating ailing children. It has continued to provide
medical care to sick children while cruising Boston Harbor for the next three decades. It has then upgraded
its facilities and expanded amenities to having an inpatient service and onboard research facility. However,
at some point in the spring of 1927, the floating hospital was ruined by fire. As luck would have it, none
had been on board. Four years later, another facility was built this time on land providing a comprehensive
service pediatric facility with ongoing research activities. In 1965, the facility has officially merged with
Tufts Medical Center. Tufts is the oldest permanent medical facility in the nation. Samuel Adams and Paul
Revere originally established it at the Boston Dispensary in 1796. Despite the former s strong historical
foundation, Floating Hospital for Children has kept hold of its character and celebrated tradition. Moreover,
it was highlighted in the case analysis that the hospital has been beset by financial

The Possibility Of Evil Short Story
We all like to look at things that appeal to us. But sometimes appearances can deceive us: such as a good
deal going online until you re ready to pay and they hit you with shipping and handling taxes and therefore
raising the price dramatically. Or a movie that has a good trailer but once you watch it as a result the movie
was not as good as it appeared to be. It s good to notice the bigger picture and to analyze it in more depth,
rather than judge it but it s first sight. The main characters in the short stories Lamb to the Slaughter , by
Roald Dahl, The Possibility of Evil , by Shirley Jackson, could have adapted from this lesson. In Lamb to
the Slaughter Mrs. Maloney is this sweet, loving and caring wife who loves her husband dearly, but once he
came back from work he hit her with heartbreaking and bad news: which sets her off. In The Possibility of
Evil Miss Strangeworth appears to be this kind and respected elderly lady, but behind close doors she is
completely different. Just because we see something to appear to be good doesn t mean that it can t reveal it
s true colors in a blink of an eye. Or that it could be the total opposite of your initial though. In both stories,
the reader discovers that even though something may appear to be one thing, it could turn out to be
something completely different. In The Possibility of Evil, Shirley Jackson gives us a character who may
seem to be the town s most respected and longest established resident, but who actually

Intermittent Numbness Case Summary
Chief Complaint Intermittent numbness, left lower extremity. History The patient is an 80 year old right
handed white female, who presents with her male partner for evaluation of left lower extremity symptoms.
She did present for an EMG nerve conduction study in May. At that time, she gave a history of intermittent
numbness into the anterior lateral thigh. The numbness rarely extended below the knee at that time, and it
rarely occurred on the right. There was no clear radicular component. Her exam was normal. Her EMG of
the left lower extremity was limited because she is on Pradaxa, but it was normal and CBs were consistent
with a mild motor neuropathy. The diagnosis was possible meralgia paresthetica. The patient now states
that the numbness is intermittent. It is on the anterior thigh, but now it goes down into the calf anteriorly

Biography on Christopher Columbus
Christopher Columbus was born in Genoa, Spain in 1451. Genoa back in 1451 was an old sea port which
was by the Ligurian Sea. Christopher Columbus s Spanish name was Cristoforo Colombo, translated into
English that means Christopher Columbus. Christopher Columbus had two younger brothers. Columbus
had little education like most of the people of that time period of 1451. Genoa was a rather busy sea port
that had a lot of trade coming in and out of it. Christopher Columbus picked up a thing or two like fishing
from the sailors arriving at Genoa to do work. Columbus had a father who was a weaver that did not bring
home a lot of money. Therefore, the family sometimes had to do without some things. Columbus also
worked with his father when he was not out exploring the port of Genoa. However, Christopher had long
had his mind set on being a sailor. Columbus finally found an opportunity to sail. He went fishing with
merchants and fishermen. Christopher Columbus was also interested in geography and map making, which
he studied when he sailed. In Christopher s twenties he made his very first trip through the Mediterranean
Sea into the Atlantic Ocean. During Christopher Columbus s trip their ship was attacked and burned.
Columbus swam an astounding six miles by holding on to ship wreckage. In 1476 Christopher Columbus
moved to the country of Portugal. In Portugal he met a woman named Felipa Perestrello e Moniz. Moniz
was the daughter of a well respected family who

Roger Chillingworth
Stemming from the thought of a forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden, knowledge and sin have been
interwoven for all of humanity. The Puritans, godly appearances aside, are no exception. In The Scarlet
Letter by Nathanial Hawthorne, the innermost workings of a seemingly dignified society are revealed. By
doing so, Hawthorne advocates that all knowledge and sin are ultimately inseparable. The character known
as Roger Chillingworth is focused on a fiery revenge throughout the course of the novel. The entire premise
of this vengeance is the thirst for knowledge, for clarity, and for clearance. Roger explains to his former
wife, Hester, that there are...few things hidden from the man who devotes himself earnestly and
unreservedly to the solution ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When addressing his lover, Hester, at her public trial, he implores her passionately to reveal the identity of
her lover, well knowing that it is himself. Be not silent from any mistaken pity and tenderness for
him...through he were to step down from a high place (63). While Hawthorne has the minister committing a
sin in and of itself by requesting Hester to reveal the identity of the lover, the minister is also forcing Hester
to commit another sin because of her knowledge lying. The knowledge between the lovers results in
undeniable sin for the both of them. Yet, Dimmesdale s sin with Hester gives him insight into how to
connect with his congregation. As the narrator states, this very burden it was that gave him sympathies so
intimate with the sinful brotherhood of mankind, so that his heart vibrated in unison with theirs. (129).
Hawthorne utilizes the paradox of a sinful minister to highlight Dimmesdale s inner sin. Yet, Dimmesdale
becomes a better preacher and arguably a better person through his fall into sin. He can relate to the masses,
instead of being held up on his own pedestal. As such, Dimmesdale s sin brings him knowledge.
Throughout Hawthorne s The Scarlet Letter, knowledge and sin are ultimately inseparable. While almost all
of the characters in the novel sin, Hawthorne ends optimistically with

Fashion in the 60s
Fashion in the 60 s
The 60 s were a time of change and challenge. They brought hippies, space age, folk music, and the
Beatles. Women s skirts got shorter, men s hair got longer, and everyone talked about love.
The 60 s was characterized by the feeling that a break with the past had been achieved. Clothes, furniture,
and products all looked newer, brighter, and more fun.
The swinging 60 s were at their height. Women s hemlines were very short. Fashion in the 60 s tended to
encourage exhibitionism. Miniskirts, bold colors, and see through dresses were all geared to showing off
women s bodies, and on rare occasion men s bodies. Gaudy accessories such as perspex rings and earrings
and fold chain belts.
For women, there were long ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was the beginning of the fashion reversal. Some pop groups in particular, the Rolling Stones, cultivated a
rebellious attitude that was reflected in their unconventional, scruffy clothing.
Strict rules dictated what was worn and when. Casuals for wearing during the day were very distinct from
formal evening wear. The 60 s saw the abandonment of these traditions and it became perfectly reasonable
to wear the same outfit to work as for and evening out. For evening wear, fabrics such as velvets and satin
ware used. For men, suits became more tight fitting and chelsea boots more popular.
Yves Saint Laurent had fashionable society wearing Mondrian dresses in 1965 and pop art dresses
decorated with comic strip.
Op art = the use of patterns to create an optical illusion were very popular. The patterns first seen in
paintings of Victor Vasarely and Bridget Riley found their way into graphic and fabric designs.
By the middle of the 60 s, the term had shifted from popular to fashionable. Badges became a popular
means of self expression.
Their messages concerned political persuasion and sexual preference. Designers in Britain and the United
States experimented with fabrics and materials like paper, nylon, plastics, and elastic.
The Hippy movement, which first surfaced in California, nurtured a form of anti fashion in which virtually
all types of clothes were permissible whether short or long, new or second hand, patterned or plain, as long

Speak, Memory by Vladamir Nabokov
To some degree, every artist creates his or her own artistic life preserver, and in doing so resequences and
conserves their own artistic DNA so that it may be transferred onto another generation. Vladimir Nabokov s
memoir Speak, Memory, is not only that preserver, but the tug boat that it holds onto, heavy and cramped
with the memories and history that Nabokov retells his readers against the currents of time. Speak, Memory
operates thematically, not chronologically. Nabokov returns anew to his early childhood and pulls in, as it
were, the memories associated with certain themes. Then he turns, changes directions, and sets off again.
One such theme that resonates throughout the novel is that of exile and deteterritorialization, both ... Show

(79) Even early on in his childhood, Nobokov found those comfortable products of Anglo Saxon
civilization as nothing more than useful necessities. The extinct tradition learning that is taken on by him is
private multilingual tutorship, even if now it seems like a very pluralistic one as it included both Russian,
English and French at the same time. It is this because of this multilingual education that Nabokov
encounters less wonder in terms of cultural conflicts that usually plights other exiles. Nabokov s traditional
aristocratic background accentuates many of his experiences abroad, he internalizes spiritual
deteterritorialization and finds enjoyment within it. But it is also this spiritual deterritorialization that
follows Nabokov throughout his life that makes his account of his life seem more artistic and disconnected,
even if there is a profound emotional impact on the reader in the end. While some moments in his life
might evoke sympathy, like his retelling of his father s death, or make readers to take a side, such as the
incident with Nesbit during his time in Cambridge, Nabokov keeps the reader at a distance by concealing
his feelings in rhetoric. An example of this is the short biography (173) of his father. Using vivid details to
describe his father, one can feel the spiritual resonance the experience had on Nabokov. And behind it all
there was yet a very special emotional abyss that I was

Adaptation Of Cabeza De Vaca
Can you imagine setting sail with about 600 men on a conquest hoping to successfully complete a task.
Instead your castaway and you are one of four survivor s out of 600 men; We can all attempt to imagine,
but this was reality for Alvar Nuñez Cabeza de Vaca. In the early 1500 s Alvar Nuñez was amongst the first
Europeans to step foot in what is known as North America today. The narrative and film Cabeza de Vaca
Relacion and Cabeza de Vaca the film, recounts the trials and tribulations of the eight year journey. The
film adaptation of Chronicle of the Narváez Expedition compares to the text in many ways. The film is
merely a mirror to the narrative and although the film is not as long as the book it gives its audience visual
validation of the hardships Alvar Nunez and his men endured, The way in which Alvarez was inhumanly
treated by the Indians and how Alvar Nunez became popular and respected in the Indian community.
Having to walk miles without food, walking around with no clothes or shoes in very cold temperatures are
all examples of hardships. The hardships Alvar Nuñez and his men fell victim to were atrocious. In the
narrative and the film there is a point in time when the expedition was leaving Aute. By this time most of
Alvar Nunez men had fallen ill so Nunez and his men built five rafts to carry them at sea. Each raft was
filled with almost fifty men. They ran out of food and water relatively quickly and many of the men began
to perish. At one point Alvar Nunez

Many traditional fairy tales have been remade into Hollywood movies. The fairy tale of Cinderella has been

The Roman Empire
However, numerous aspects allowed the Byzantine Empire to stay in power for a 1000 years after the end
of the Roman Empire; primarily the emperors were focused on the political, culture and economic affairs
from top to bottom. This triangle strategy of the empire backed by a greater strategic communication and
well designed political warfare against their rivals enabled the empire to stay stable and secure. There are
also few other internal and external factors and advantages. Including some great permanent resource such
as Anatolia for workforce and Egypt for cash. The regional stability was also a significant factor and the
Persia, and the Islamic caliphates have not significantly challenged the emperors. There was also some
natural and geographic advantages, such as shorter borders and few disputes over the land and boundaries.
The active Macedonians military and the Thema system militias were an essential factor in the security.
But, the role of leadership should not be ignored in the empire, and most of the Byzantine emperors were
either smart or had the brightest around them. Martine Luther s challenge of the Catholic Church s through

Advantages Of Time Travel
Time travel is traveling to another place in time. It can be traveling into pass or the future. Time travel can
be the solution to a lot of problems in the world. We will be able to prevent things from happening by going
into the past and change our decisions or we can go into the future and prepare for it or try to prevent it too.
There are a lot of research going on with time travel but it hasn t been done by any human yet. Time travel

For time dilation, if you re in a reference frame, that reference frame has a proper time associated with it. It
can be measured with clock, or your watch. Observer one is moving in his reference frame and observer
two in the Earth frame which also has a proper time. The clocks are hypothetical clocks called a light clock.
They have two mirrors parallel to each other with single photon bouncing between them. Each bounce is
called a tick and their length depends on how big your light clock is. For example, a light clock that is
150,000 kilometers would take two ticks, to make a second. These type of clocks are not the best because if
we are off by the tiniest amount, whether or not these things were exactly parallel, it would cease to work.
They are possible but just very precise which is not the best for us. The light clock time must match the
person s time on their watch. In these frames, the speed of light is always constant. Meaning that observer
one is going to measure speed of the photon as traveling the same as observer s two photon even though
they are going at different speed. From observer s one perspective, its photon needs to travel a longer
distance but still traveling at the speed of light. So we can conclude that the ticks on observer s two clock
happen slower than the ticks on

Shakespeare s Sonnet 73
William Shakespeare used the word and the concept of death many times throughout his writing. The
poem, The Time of Year, is one of the many sonnets that Shakespeare wrote. It is also known as Sonnet 73 .
In Western literary traditions, sonnets have played an important role because of the works of authors such
as Francesco Petrarca (Petrarch) and William Shakespeare, (Weagly, 2016). The Time of Year (Sonnet 73)
by William Shakespeare, conveys the theme that the idea of losing someone could create a stronger feeling
of love while they are living here on Earth. All sonnets are written in a specific pattern. They consist of
three quatrains and a couplet. Every line has ten syllables and follows an a, b scale pattern. In Sonnet 73 , ...

The sonnet is slightly tragic in aspect, because it is on wishful thinking. In the autumn of his life and
getting close to death, his loved one sees that he does not have much time left but still loves him the same.
That is the meaning of true love. There is a melancholic tone of his life deteriorating in front of him and
while he has lived some days of pure joy in his youth. He remains focused on his death by describing it
with a more pessimistic point of view. Then, towards the end, he employs a tone of regret which explains
why he lives his dying days with pure negativity. He finishes with an instruction directed towards his
audience to live and appreciates life s light, and joy and love better than he did. Even though it is not
intentional, the poem is an inspiration to live well and flourish and to be appreciative of what you have
before it is too late. Shakespeare apparently wrote this sonnet at a time of uneasiness. It is captivating to a
loved one to see the lengthiness of his youth, by embodying himself as a season, a day or a burning fire,
and allegories the respect endings of all those three. It is a difficult feeling to describe, when something that
you used to have such love for is no longer interesting to you, but Shakespeare metaphors describe it
perfectly. His writing style, in keeping Shakespearian form, is of flowing sentences and elaborate
descriptions, offering metaphors within metaphors. Throughout these descriptions his

A couple of reasons of how Greenfield s geography affects people s lives is because of food choices,
temperature, and the way land is used. The food in Greenfield Wisconsin is very unique. For example, if
someone were to go to France and eat there, the food in France would be very different from the food in
Greenfield, Wisconsin. Another reason of how Greenfield s geography affects people s lives is because of
the temperature. In Greenfield Wisconsin, there are four seasons: summer, fall, winter, and spring. In each
season many things throughout the city change. Example: in summer more plants will grow because of the
weather. Also, some grass will die because of the weather. The third and final reason of how Greenfield s
geography affects people s lives is, by the way, a land is used. In Greenfield, most land is used for buildings
such as schools, gas stations, police fire department, houses, apartments, etc. How does this effect
geography? Well, it affects what people may do in their free time and what their life is like. (How people
work and some things Greenfield has that other city s may not have) Now that we know some reasons of
how Greenfield s geography affects humans, let s move on to Greenfield s absolute and relative

Yeast Enumeration Lab Report
Micro enumeration to determine the number of yeast cells in a litre of beer.
Introduction
Yeast are single celled fungi of which there are numerous strains. Saccharomyces cerevisiae is a strain of
yeast that is commonly used in the production of bread, wine and beer (Lodolo et al., 2008) as it is a key
ingredient used for alcoholic fermentation. The yeast cells are added to the brew which contains some form
of sugars (glucose) which are broken down by enzymes in the yeast, this produces ethanol and carbon
dioxide.
The purpose of this experiment was for students to utilise their micro enumeration skills to determine the
number of yeast cells in a litre of beer. It was thought that this could be achieved by using a
haemocytometer to count the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, with the data available the average of the 5 lab groups was calculated and the result was rounded
to 1458 cells. 1458 yeast cells divided by the number of squares counted (10) times the area of the squares
(0.1) times 10 to the power of 6 = (1458/10x0.1 x 10,000000) = 145,8000,000 yeast cells in a litre of beer.

The term financial services became more prevalent in the United States partly as a result of the Gramm

which enabled different types of companies operating in the U.S. financial services industry at that time to
merge.[2]
B. Companies usually have two distinct approaches to this new type of business.
One approach would be a bank which simply buys an insurance company or an investment bank, keeps the
original brands of the acquired firm, and adds the acquisition to its holding company simply to diversify its
earnings.
Outside the U.S. (e.g. Japan), non financial services companies are permitted within the holding company.
In this scenario, each company still looks independent, and has its own customers, etc. In the other style, a
bank would simply create its own brokerage division or insurance division and attempt to sell those
products to its own existing customers, with incentives for combining all things with one company.

The Venezuelan Revolution
This will be as much a tale about the Venezuelan people as it is about a returning immigrant who knows his
homeland largely from memories and media. Though my experiences have shaped my outlook, my
intention is to enter the country as a neutral and impartial writer, cognizant of daily life, yet oblivious to the
fiery political discourse which consumes too many discussions.
This project s purpose is to record a people who have lived through the promises and outcomes of the
Bolivarian Revolution, an idea that captured Venezuela s spirit and spread across 16 Latin America nations
as the Pink Tide. The poor and working class will be a fundamental component of this story as I investigate
the role the revolution has played in shaping the lives of this perpetually overlooked group of people.
Simultaneously, the nature of these issues will create a portal into the world of Venezuelan heritage,
traditions, and political and civic culture. What I write will be the reality of the situation; the interpretation
will be left up to the reader.

The Spanish Civil War, lasting from July 17, 1936 to April 1, 1939, was comprised of several events such

I Got A Call From My Best Friend
On February fifteenth, 2015, I got a call from my best friend, Mya.
Hey Serena! she warmly greeted me. How would you like to go to sleep away camp with me this summer?
I thought that sleep away camp with my best friend since diapers would be an amazing experience.
I d love to! I replied.
Mya and I spent the whole afternoon researching sleep away camps, trying to find the right one. Finally, we
found the seemingly perfect one week camp, Camp Lohikan. It had a wide variety of interesting activities,
such as quad riding, jet skiing, archery, bungee jumping, horseback, theater, the list goes on and on. To our
excitement, both of our parents agreed to send us to the camp together. They even requested that we be put
into the same cabin. From that day, the countdown began; only one hundred eighty seven days until camp.
Almost everyday, I would wake up to find a text from Mya reading,
Can t wait until Lohikan! to which I would reply,
Me too!
Finally, the week before camp approached. I, however, was no longer excited for camp, In fact, I was
dreading the day that I had to leave for camp. This feeling was mostly because I was nervous. What if the
food is gross? What if my cabin mates are rude? What if my counselor is rude? What if I get homesick? I
thought. At one point I became super dramatic and asked myself, What if I die? Everyday when Mya
called, however, I always told her that I couldn t wait for camp. On August twenty first, the first day of

Quotes For Lord Capulet
Essay Outline
The Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees play at least 22 games a year just against each other, not
including playoffs. They are also the largest rival baseball team of all times. Romeo and Juliet could be
portrayed using the Capulets as Boston and the Montagues as New York. At one of the games between
them taking place in Fenway Park, Romeo and Juliet meet and hit it off right away. Although their rivals,
they do not realize who they are until after the game. In my favorite scene, Act 4 Scene 2, Lord Capulet
plays a very important part by talking to Juliet about the wedding with Paris.
I think that Lord Capulet is the most needed character in this scene because it is all based on his inner
attitude. When Juliet begs for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After her speech, he goes straight to business face. If I directed a play of this, then I would direct the person
playing Lord Capulet to walk around and talk to himself about random things like caterer, flowers, place,
etc... and then start talking about his rewards because, as it says above, all he cares about is what is in it for
him.
Staging is just one element in the theater genre, but it is a very important one. If I had the chance to direct
Romeo and Juliet in the modernized version I created, then the lights for Act 4 Scene 2 would be bright,
like fluorescent lights were everywhere. Even if Lord Capulet was not holding a phone that lights up, we
would need to signify that he is using one and what he is doing with it. That would need it s own lighting.
The camera angle if we ever filmed it would move from place to place. I believe that it would start on Lord
Capulet and then everyone else would answer while he is on his phone. The camera when Juliet enters
would be focused on her, maybe with her running into the room where her father is. All of the actors need
costumes to make the whole scene come alive. Lord Capulet would be wearing a suit, black with a light
blue undershirt and a red tie would be added to this to make the audience believe that he had just come
from work. The suit will also show that even at home, Lord Capulet is all about the money.
Romeo and Juliet already has many modernized versions

Strong Centralized Government Essay
By the end of the early Middle Ages, the territories of both England and France had divided into several
small kingdoms, each governed by a separate leader. These kingdoms were in states of chaos because they
lacked a strong centralized government. By the 12th century, trade began to grow, which led to the creation
of towns. The towns citizens initially paid taxes to the feudal nobles, but with the development of a strong
middle class, taxes were paid to the king alone. Without tax income, the nobles power weakened and the
power of the king increased. Thus, a strong centralized government began to form. As the French and
English kings strengthened their power, established strong centralized governments, and diminished the
power of the nobles, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Magna Carta, a charter signed by King John in 1215, ensured that the people of England would receive
basic political rights such as Habeas Corpus, the right to a court trial, and no taxation without
representation. It also restrained the king s power by proclaiming that he was not above the law. Although
the Magna Carta did not strengthen the king s power, or relinquish that of the nobles , it was an essential
step in laying the foundation for democracy, as it gave the commoners a voice and prevented the monarchs
from ruling with absolute power. Soon after, Louis IX, king of France, created the appeals court. The
appeals court was where those who contradicted a court ruling could go, and it had the power to [annul,
quash] the local courts. This court was important, as it prevented the majority of unjust and prejudiced
punishments that could be ruled against someone. Both the Magna Carta and the appeals court were
fundamental in laying the foundation for democracy, because they granted the commoners basic political
rights and somewhat sheltered them from the law, Although, the Magna Carta was more so, as it restrained

Themes In Educating Rita
Tajanay Keaton Chesson

Extra Credit: Educating Rita
In the film, Educating Rita, the life of a young working class woman dreams of pursuing an English
literature degree to help her gain social mobility. Rita, a 26 year old blue collar Liverpool hairdresser, meets
an English tutor, Dr. Frank Bryant in hopes that she would discover and experience true happiness. Dr.
Bryant is a wealthy alcoholic academic who suffers from low self esteem and confidence and would
eventually fall in love with Rita s unwitty ability to adapt to academia life and her continuous commitment
to change and grow as a writer. This an example of how blue collar workers are identified to be more
independent, natural, and spontaneous people compared to white collar workers. Generally, we think of
blue collar workers as less organized than white collar workers regarding student success. The film relates
to the book Unequal Childhoods: Class, Race, and Family Life, where Annette Lareau believes that a
family s social class position predicts an individual school success and their ultimate life chances (Lareau,
2003, p. 29). Lareau (2003) highlights three reasons why social class matters for blue collar workers, one is
the organization of daily life, the second is language use, and the third is interactions between families and
institutions (p. 11). Working class or blue collar workers tend to communicate poorly compared to white
collar workers. The central difference between blue collar

Metaphors In The Glass Castle
The Glass Castle is a memoir of Jeannette Walls experience and her tempestuous upbringing. Her father
was a charismatic and intelligent man, but when he drank he was dishonest and couldn t hold a job. Their
mother was a free spirit who felt confined by the responsibilities of motherhood, and sought refuge in her
blind optimism. Without steady parental figures, Jeannette and her siblings turned to each other for support.
Eventually, they made their way to New York to build lives for themselves. Their parents followed,
choosing to be homeless. The novel is latent with metaphors, the biggest one being the title itself. The
Glass Castle is an idea cooked up by her father, a luxurious structure in the desert that runs on solar panels.
He carries around blueprints for it, and while living in Welch, Jeannette and her brother actually dig a large
hole for the foundation. However, Jeannette is struck with the reality that the Glass Castle will never come
to be when her father tells her to throw their accumulating garbage into the hole meant intended for it s
foundation, since he can t afford the trash collection fee. As Jeanette nears adulthood and her plans to
follow her sister to New York inch closer, she tells her father, Go ahead and build the Glass Castle, but don
t do it for me (Walls 238). This is a turning point for her, because she lets go of the Glass Castle, a symbol
of her father s empty promises and illusions, to move away and better herself. Another huge symbol

A Changing Lifestyle At The Age Of Thirty
A Changing Lifestyle
At the age of thirty, I am still trying to find my place in the world. I have moved in and out of my parents

I started to become friends. His named was Joe and we would always set around talk and have strawberry

years both baker and cook person. Unfortunately, not everything went smoothly. Before long, my
roommates and I were partying too much. My friends that I had enjoyed partying, and I often joined them.
We would hang out at my place all night. We drank alcohol, watched movies, sat around talking, and went

Why do I believe America is a great nation? America s greatness comes from our freedom, our people, and

many people of the U.S. take for granted. Our civil rights are part of our freedom. People that invade upon
our rights are punished. The severity of this punishment depends upon how harshly our rights are violated.

Compare and Contrast two criminological approaches to...
Compare and Contrast two criminological approaches to understanding the commission of crime.
Criminologists seek to understand the commission of crime in a given society, attempting to figure out why
certain crimes occur, and then to study how these can be prevented, and deterred by individuals. The two
key approaches I will examine in this assignment is that of the early Classicalist approach, and the
opposing Positivist approach, each of which are crucial for understanding modern criminology today. In the
late eighteenth century Britain went through an Enlightenment period, which is also referred to as The Age
of Reason (Paine, 1794) and this is because reason was emphasised over religion, secularisation

Bentham then invented his idea of the perfect prison, the panopticon. This was a model prison where all
prisoners where observed at all times by unseen guards. The Classicalist approach involves the
punishments being just and reasonable, however still being able to deter individuals. This approach has
been criticised by numerous theorists for many reasons. To begin with, despite this continuing change of
the punishments towards offenders, from the earliest codes of public executions, towards a more subtle
reformation and rehabilitation scheme, the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 mirrors this idea, murder
rates have not significantly changed. Also this theory emphasises much on rational thinking and freewill,
however it is debated that we do not always behave in our best interest, there are times when individuals
are intoxicated by alcohol so are not as conscious of their activities. Moreover, there are crimes which
entails the offender gaining no rewards, and also victimless crimes illustrate that not all crimes and
punishments are just . Theorists then sought to figure out another alternative way for understanding the
commission of crime, as many began to doubt this theory that crime was a simple characteristic of the
human nature. In the nineteenth century the Positivist approach was introduced, which brought a whole
new way of thinking about criminals and certain

The Common Archetypes In Ethan Frome, By Edith Wharton
The well known narrative, Ethan Frome, is often described as similar to many classic fairy tales.
Resembling most fairy tales, not only is the plot of Ethan Frome is kept simple and straightforward, but the

she displays many child like characteristics. Her sense of trust and foolishness lead to her death. Mattie,
who is only twenty one, is described in the narrative as lively and always happy, much like a child. One of
the biggest correlations between Mattie and Snow White is their similarity in appearance. Mattie Silver s

The Footsteps Of Beethoven s Final Symphony
I understood the essence of this quote after watching the film Following the Ninth: In the Footsteps of
Beethoven s Final Symphony. It is a very powerful film that illustrates the impact of Beethoven s Ninth
Symphony on individuals from different places in the world. This film is not the type of documentary that I
expected. It is one of the best film that I saw. Following the Ninth presents the significance of humanity.
The director, Kerry Candaele acknowledged that it was the third movement of Beethoven s final symphony
that drew him into Beethoven s world. For me, Beethoven s last symphony has the spiritual power that lifts
you up when you re down. The impact of Beethoven s the Ninth is so powerful that the director stated that
Beethoven s symphony had reached me where it hurt. The director s interest in Beethoven started when he
first listened to his last symphony in an afternoon drive to the California coast. Being carried away by
Beethoven s Ninth, Candaele has turned his interest in Beethoven s last symphony into a film. China,
Berlin, Chile, and Japan were the countries featured in the documentary. While studying Beethoven and his
last symphony, Candaele discovered that Beethoven s Ninth has had a lasting political presence in the 186
years since its first performance, in 1824. Beethoven s last symphony became a message of hope for the
protestors at the uprising in Tiananmen Square on June 4, 1989. On the same year, Beethoven s last
symphony symbolized the

Parenting Styles Of Child Rearing
There are four different parenting styles of Child rearing which include, the uninvolved parent, the
Authoritarian parent, the permissive parent, and the authoritative parent. Each style has different
characteristic that can be beneficial or harmful to a child s emotional and social development. The first
child rearing style is the uninvolved parent which is exactly like it sounds. These parents aren t engaged
with their child and are emotionally detached, they make little to no demands and let their child do as they
please. Next is the authoritarian parent who is overly aggressive. They tend to be cold and rejecting toward
their children and make so many demands that their child doesn t get a chance to make any choices. Thirdly

These kids tend to be more antisocial, are disobedient and defiant. School performance can decline and
they can t seem to stay on task. The parenting style that has positive outcomes to a child is an authoritative
parent. These children have higher self esteem, are more cooperative and have positive behavior. They also
have better school performance and stay on task.
As a parent, I tend to be around other parents often weather it s picking my kids up from school or going to
places like the zoo or museum. I have encountered all four times of parents. While on the school
playground I observed an uninvolved parent who was with a child that was between 2 3 years of age who
must have been picking up and older sibling. This parent let the child walk a good 30 feet ahead of them
while starring at their phone screen the whole time. The child went onto the playground and was attempting
to climb stairs to go down a slide, the parent honestly never looked up from their phone and just sat on a
bench. During this time I am with my daughter so I kept an eye on the child and helped him climb the
stairs. In the next ten minutes or so the parent not once engaged in their child or looked to see if he was still
around. The child also seemed to have had an accident but was still playing in his wet clothes. I didn t
notice any emotional or behavioral challenges with the boy because he seemed happy to be playing outside
but I did end

Pepsico s Gatorade Brand And Its Impact On The World s...
Introduction
Gatorade is a PepsiCo owned company that manufactures many sports themed beverages as well as food
products. The Gatorade beverages are based on the oral rehydration therapy, which involves drinking sugar
and salt mixed water for the purpose of rehydrating. The Gatorade brand uses carbohydrates and
electrolytes to replenish athletes after rigorous physical activity (Gatorade, 2014). Gatorade sweetens their
drinks using a mixture of sucrose dextrose, which reduces the calorie count of the beverage. Gatorade is a
recognized leader in the sports drink and sports recovery market.

Energy drinks and sport drinks are two segments in the larger market of soft drinks. Contrary to popular
belief, energy drinks and sport drinks do not compete against each other due to their targeting of different
consumer needs. Sport drinks are mainly used for nutritional needs that arise before, during and after
physical activity. Sport drinks are based on the oral rehydration therapy, which requires drinking a
concoction of water, sugar, and salt for the purposes of rehydration (Cohen, 2013). Although a niche
product, sport drinks are beginning to enter into the mass market, where consumers are now purchasing
sport drinks for regular consumption unassociated with physical activity. Experts project that the sport
drink industry could grow to more than 9.3 billion dollars by the end of 2017 (Cohen, 2013). However,
consumers are becoming to a small degree unsatisfied with the recycling of old formulas when it comes to
sports drink. Consumers now want sport drinks to have a low calorie count as well as infusion of vitamins
and protein. Gatorade recently launched a product line that incorporated whey protein into their drink
formula, however, the product extension launch was deemed as unsuccessful due to lack of product
awareness.
Market Demographics
The primary purchasers of sport drinks are athletes. These are people who actively play sports as a hobby
or professionally. 65 percent of buyers in this market are under the age of 35

Cultures And Differences Of Tex-Mex And Mexican Food

Tex Mex Vs. MexicanAll over the U.S companies and restaurants have made a lot of money selling
Mexican food. In fact, Taco Bell makes about 1.2 to 2.5 million dollars a day! Not just Taco Bell, but many
restaurants and fast food chains try to recreate the authentic tastes and flavors of Mexican food. Tex Mex is
the American version of the food from Mexico. Although it is all over America, it is most common in the
southern states closest to the border of Mexico. Tex Mex and authentic Mexican food are definitely
different. Although there are similarities, you can only find truly authentic Mexican food in Mexico. Tex
Mex is the imitation food of Mexican food. Tex Mex first spread to Texas in the 1950 s when a lot of
immigrants moved to the United States. Nachos were supposedly first served at a concession at the Dallas
State Fair in Texas in 1964. In 1972 a book called The Cuisines of Mexico, was released and made the
distinction between authentic Mexican food and Tex Mex. Diana Kennedy (the author of the book) used the
term Tex Mex and made it popular The term wasn t always used to describe the food, it used to be an
abbreviation for the Texas Mexican Railway. In the early 16th century, Spain invaded Mexico. Spanish
foods had a very big impact on the Mexican cuisine. They introduced sheeps, pigs, cows, etc. They also
brought new products like dairy, garlic, herbs, wheat, spices, and more. Most Mexican food came from the

Colorism And Racism
Racism is prominent in the United States. Growing up in my small, predominately white town I did not
recognize it. I had difficulty comprehending what racism is. As I have grown and developed my
understanding of the many identities I hold, I have come to realize racism is the systematic oppression of
people of color rooted in discrimination through the historical power, privilege given to the dominate
identity. With this definition of racism, I can recall many occurrences in my childhood where I faced both
direct and indirect racism. For me a prominent and constant sense of racism comes from the beauty
industry regarding colorism. Colorism is the discrimination based on skin color. The dominate color or
White is considered more desirable and better than darker colors. For me, colorism came from both folks of
my own race and those of the dominate identity. Being raised within the South Asian community I
encountered a strong sense of colorism through beauty standards. Lighter skin tone was considered better
than darker skin tone. This is evident through the large skin whitening industry within South Asian
community. Colorism extremely influenced me. I saw all my favorite Bollywood actresses having light
complexions. I watched ads for skin whitening products showing lighter skin tone being related to
confidence, attractiveness, and happiness. I didn t admittedly talk about how lighter skin was better; I was
just extremely grateful for my lighter complexion in comparison to

  • 2. My Choice Of Organization Is Leaning Toward The Floating... My choice of organization is leaning towards the Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center. I have learned so much about the organization as a solid partner of Tufts NEMC during one of my Strategic and Planning Management classes. Similar to Tufts NEMC, the Floating Hospital for Children has a rich history as it was established in 1894 as a hospital ship, sailing in Boston Harbor. Back then, people believed that fresh air was the most favorable alternative in treating ailing children. It has continued to provide medical care to sick children while cruising Boston Harbor for the next three decades. It has then upgraded its facilities and expanded amenities to having an inpatient service and onboard research facility. However, at some point in the spring of 1927, the floating hospital was ruined by fire. As luck would have it, none had been on board. Four years later, another facility was built this time on land providing a comprehensive service pediatric facility with ongoing research activities. In 1965, the facility has officially merged with Tufts Medical Center. Tufts is the oldest permanent medical facility in the nation. Samuel Adams and Paul Revere originally established it at the Boston Dispensary in 1796. Despite the former s strong historical foundation, Floating Hospital for Children has kept hold of its character and celebrated tradition. Moreover, it was highlighted in the case analysis that the hospital has been beset by financial ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Possibility Of Evil Short Story We all like to look at things that appeal to us. But sometimes appearances can deceive us: such as a good deal going online until you re ready to pay and they hit you with shipping and handling taxes and therefore raising the price dramatically. Or a movie that has a good trailer but once you watch it as a result the movie was not as good as it appeared to be. It s good to notice the bigger picture and to analyze it in more depth, rather than judge it but it s first sight. The main characters in the short stories Lamb to the Slaughter , by Roald Dahl, The Possibility of Evil , by Shirley Jackson, could have adapted from this lesson. In Lamb to the Slaughter Mrs. Maloney is this sweet, loving and caring wife who loves her husband dearly, but once he came back from work he hit her with heartbreaking and bad news: which sets her off. In The Possibility of Evil Miss Strangeworth appears to be this kind and respected elderly lady, but behind close doors she is completely different. Just because we see something to appear to be good doesn t mean that it can t reveal it s true colors in a blink of an eye. Or that it could be the total opposite of your initial though. In both stories, the reader discovers that even though something may appear to be one thing, it could turn out to be something completely different. In The Possibility of Evil, Shirley Jackson gives us a character who may seem to be the town s most respected and longest established resident, but who actually ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Biography on Christopher Columbus Christopher Columbus was born in Genoa, Spain in 1451. Genoa back in 1451 was an old sea port which was by the Ligurian Sea. Christopher Columbus s Spanish name was Cristoforo Colombo, translated into English that means Christopher Columbus. Christopher Columbus had two younger brothers. Columbus had little education like most of the people of that time period of 1451. Genoa was a rather busy sea port that had a lot of trade coming in and out of it. Christopher Columbus picked up a thing or two like fishing from the sailors arriving at Genoa to do work. Columbus had a father who was a weaver that did not bring home a lot of money. Therefore, the family sometimes had to do without some things. Columbus also worked with his father when he was not out exploring the port of Genoa. However, Christopher had long had his mind set on being a sailor. Columbus finally found an opportunity to sail. He went fishing with merchants and fishermen. Christopher Columbus was also interested in geography and map making, which he studied when he sailed. In Christopher s twenties he made his very first trip through the Mediterranean Sea into the Atlantic Ocean. During Christopher Columbus s trip their ship was attacked and burned. Columbus swam an astounding six miles by holding on to ship wreckage. In 1476 Christopher Columbus moved to the country of Portugal. In Portugal he met a woman named Felipa Perestrello e Moniz. • 6. Roger Chillingworth Stemming from the thought of a forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden, knowledge and sin have been interwoven for all of humanity. The Puritans, godly appearances aside, are no exception. In The Scarlet Letter by Nathanial Hawthorne, the innermost workings of a seemingly dignified society are revealed. By doing so, Hawthorne advocates that all knowledge and sin are ultimately inseparable. The character known as Roger Chillingworth is focused on a fiery revenge throughout the course of the novel. The entire premise of this vengeance is the thirst for knowledge, for clarity, and for clearance. Roger explains to his former wife, Hester, that there are...few things hidden from the man who devotes himself earnestly and unreservedly to the solution ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When addressing his lover, Hester, at her public trial, he implores her passionately to reveal the identity of her lover, well knowing that it is himself. Be not silent from any mistaken pity and tenderness for him...through he were to step down from a high place (63). While Hawthorne has the minister committing a sin in and of itself by requesting Hester to reveal the identity of the lover, the minister is also forcing Hester to commit another sin because of her knowledge lying. The knowledge between the lovers results in undeniable sin for the both of them. Yet, Dimmesdale s sin with Hester gives him insight into how to connect with his congregation. As the narrator states, this very burden it was that gave him sympathies so intimate with the sinful brotherhood of mankind, so that his heart vibrated in unison with theirs. (129). Hawthorne utilizes the paradox of a sinful minister to highlight Dimmesdale s inner sin. Yet, Dimmesdale becomes a better preacher and arguably a better person through his fall into sin. He can relate to the masses, instead of being held up on his own pedestal. As such, Dimmesdale s sin brings him knowledge. Throughout Hawthorne s The Scarlet Letter, knowledge and sin are ultimately inseparable. While almost all of the characters in the novel sin, Hawthorne ends optimistically with ... • 8. Speak, Memory by Vladamir Nabokov To some degree, every artist creates his or her own artistic life preserver, and in doing so resequences and conserves their own artistic DNA so that it may be transferred onto another generation. Vladimir Nabokov s memoir Speak, Memory, is not only that preserver, but the tug boat that it holds onto, heavy and cramped with the memories and history that Nabokov retells his readers against the currents of time. Speak, Memory operates thematically, not chronologically. Nabokov returns anew to his early childhood and pulls in, as it were, the memories associated with certain themes. Then he turns, changes directions, and sets off again. One such theme that resonates throughout the novel is that of exile and deteterritorialization, both ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (79) Even early on in his childhood, Nobokov found those comfortable products of Anglo Saxon civilization as nothing more than useful necessities. The extinct tradition learning that is taken on by him is private multilingual tutorship, even if now it seems like a very pluralistic one as it included both Russian, English and French at the same time. It is this because of this multilingual education that Nabokov encounters less wonder in terms of cultural conflicts that usually plights other exiles. Nabokov s traditional aristocratic background accentuates many of his experiences abroad, he internalizes spiritual deteterritorialization and finds enjoyment within it. But it is also this spiritual deterritorialization that follows Nabokov throughout his life that makes his account of his life seem more artistic and disconnected, even if there is a profound emotional impact on the reader in the end. While some moments in his life might evoke sympathy, like his retelling of his father s death, or make readers to take a side, such as the incident with Nesbit during his time in Cambridge, Nabokov keeps the reader at a distance by concealing his feelings in rhetoric. An example of this is the short biography (173) of his father. Using vivid details to describe his father, one can feel the spiritual resonance the experience had on Nabokov. The Roman Empire However, numerous aspects allowed the Byzantine Empire to stay in power for a 1000 years after the end of the Roman Empire; primarily the emperors were focused on the political, culture and economic affairs from top to bottom. For time dilation, if you re in a reference frame, that reference frame has a proper time associated with it. It can be measured with clock, or your watch. Observer one is moving in his reference frame and observer two in the Earth frame which also has a proper time. The clocks are hypothetical clocks called a light clock. They have two mirrors parallel to each other with single photon bouncing between them. Each bounce is called a tick and their length depends on how big your light clock is. For example, a light clock that is 150,000 kilometers would take two ticks, to make a second. These type of clocks are not the best because if we are off by the tiniest amount, whether or not these things were exactly parallel, it would cease to work. They are possible but just very precise which is not the best for us. The light clock time must match the person s time on their watch. In these frames, the speed of light is always constant. Meaning that observer one is going to measure speed of the photon as traveling the same as observer s two photon even though they are going at different speed. From observer s one perspective, its photon needs to travel a longer distance but still traveling at the speed of light. In Western literary traditions, sonnets have played an important role because of the works of authors such as Francesco Petrarca (Petrarch) and William Shakespeare, (Weagly, 2016). The Time of Year (Sonnet 73) by William Shakespeare, conveys the theme that the idea of losing someone could create a stronger feeling of love while they are living here on Earth. In the autumn of his life and getting close to death, his loved one sees that he does not have much time left but still loves him the same. That is the meaning of true love. There is a melancholic tone of his life deteriorating in front of him and while he has lived some days of pure joy in his youth. He remains focused on his death by describing it with a more pessimistic point of view. Then, towards the end, he employs a tone of regret which explains why he lives his dying days with pure negativity. He finishes with an instruction directed towards his audience to live and appreciates life s light, and joy and love better than he did. Even though it is not intentional, the poem is an inspiration to live well and flourish and to be appreciative of what you have before it is too late. Shakespeare apparently wrote this sonnet at a time of uneasiness. It is captivating to a loved one to see the lengthiness of his youth, by embodying himself as a season, a day or a burning fire, and allegories the respect endings of all those three. It is a difficult feeling to describe, when something that you used to have such love for is no longer interesting to you, but Shakespeare metaphors describe it perfectly. How would you like to go to sleep away camp with me this summer? I thought that sleep away camp with my best friend since diapers would be an amazing experience. I d love to! I replied. Mya and I spent the whole afternoon researching sleep away camps, trying to find the right one. Finally, we found the seemingly perfect one week camp, Camp Lohikan. It had a wide variety of interesting activities, such as quad riding, jet skiing, archery, bungee jumping, horseback, theater, the list goes on and on. To our excitement, both of our parents agreed to send us to the camp together. They even requested that we be put into the same cabin. From that day, the countdown began; only one hundred eighty seven days until camp. Almost everyday, I would wake up to find a text from Mya reading, Can t wait until Lohikan! to which I would reply, Me too! Finally, the week before camp approached. I, however, was no longer excited for camp, In fact, I was dreading the day that I had to leave for camp. This feeling was mostly because I was nervous. What if the food is gross? What if my cabin mates are rude? What if my counselor is rude? What if I get homesick? I thought. At one point I became super dramatic and asked myself, What if I die? Staging is just one element in the theater genre, but it is a very important one. If I had the chance to direct Romeo and Juliet in the modernized version I created, then the lights for Act 4 Scene 2 would be bright, like fluorescent lights were everywhere. Even if Lord Capulet was not holding a phone that lights up, we would need to signify that he is using one and what he is doing with it. That would need it s own lighting. The camera angle if we ever filmed it would move from place to place. I believe that it would start on Lord Capulet and then everyone else would answer while he is on his phone. The camera when Juliet enters would be focused on her, maybe with her running into the room where her father is. All of the actors need costumes to make the whole scene come alive. Lord Capulet would be wearing a suit, black with a light blue undershirt and a red tie would be added to this to make the audience believe that he had just come from work. Strong Centralized Government Essay By the end of the early Middle Ages, the territories of both England and France had divided into several small kingdoms, each governed by a separate leader. These kingdoms were in states of chaos because they lacked a strong centralized government. By the 12th century, trade began to grow, which led to the creation of towns. The towns citizens initially paid taxes to the feudal nobles, but with the development of a strong middle class, taxes were paid to the king alone. Without tax income, the nobles power weakened and the power of the king increased. Thus, a strong centralized government began to form. Although the Magna Carta did not strengthen the king s power, or relinquish that of the nobles , it was an essential step in laying the foundation for democracy, as it gave the commoners a voice and prevented the monarchs from ruling with absolute power. Soon after, Louis IX, king of France, created the appeals court. The appeals court was where those who contradicted a court ruling could go, and it had the power to [annul, quash] the local courts. This court was important, as it prevented the majority of unjust and prejudiced punishments that could be ruled against someone. Lareau (2003) highlights three reasons why social class matters for blue collar workers, one is the organization of daily life, the second is language use, and the third is interactions between families and institutions (p. 11). Criminologists seek to understand the commission of crime in a given society, attempting to figure out why certain crimes occur, and then to study how these can be prevented, and deterred by individuals. The two key approaches I will examine in this assignment is that of the early Classicalist approach, and the opposing Positivist approach, each of which are crucial for understanding modern criminology today. In the late eighteenth century Britain went through an Enlightenment period, which is also referred to as The Age of Reason (Paine, 1794) and this is because reason was emphasised over religion, secularisation transformed ... This was a model prison where all prisoners where observed at all times by unseen guards. The Classicalist approach involves the punishments being just and reasonable, however still being able to deter individuals. This approach has been criticised by numerous theorists for many reasons. To begin with, despite this continuing change of the punishments towards offenders, from the earliest codes of public executions, towards a more subtle reformation and rehabilitation scheme, the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 mirrors this idea, murder rates have not significantly changed. Also this theory emphasises much on rational thinking and freewill, however it is debated that we do not always behave in our best interest, there are times when individuals are intoxicated by alcohol so are not as conscious of their activities. Moreover, there are crimes which entails the offender gaining no rewards, and also victimless crimes illustrate that not all crimes and punishments are just . Theorists then sought to figure out another alternative way for understanding the commission of crime, as many began to doubt this theory that crime was a simple characteristic of the human nature. Sport drinks are mainly used for nutritional needs that arise before, during and after physical activity. Sport drinks are based on the oral rehydration therapy, which requires drinking a concoction of water, sugar, and salt for the purposes of rehydration (Cohen, 2013). Although a niche product, sport drinks are beginning to enter into the mass market, where consumers are now purchasing sport drinks for regular consumption unassociated with physical activity. • 46. Colorism And Racism Racism is prominent in the United States. Growing up in my small, predominately white town I did not recognize it. I had difficulty comprehending what racism is. As I have grown and developed my understanding of the many identities I hold, I have come to realize racism is the systematic oppression of people of color rooted in discrimination through the historical power, privilege given to the dominate identity. With this definition of racism, I can recall many occurrences in my childhood where I faced both direct and indirect racism. For me a prominent and constant sense of racism comes from the beauty industry regarding colorism. Colorism is the discrimination based on skin color. The dominate color or White is considered more desirable and better than darker colors. For me, colorism came from both folks of my own race and those of the dominate identity. Being raised within the South Asian community I encountered a strong sense of colorism through beauty standards. Lighter skin tone was considered better than darker skin tone. This is evident through the large skin whitening industry within South Asian community. Colorism extremely influenced me. I saw all my favorite Bollywood actresses having light complexions. I watched ads for skin whitening products showing lighter skin tone being related to confidence, attractiveness, and happiness. I didn t admittedly talk about how lighter skin was better; I was just extremely grateful for my lighter complexion in comparison to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
