Holy Spirit Jesus Ministry
The life and ministry of Jesus is usually defined as the moment where God intervened in human
history for a special purpose. This intervention occurred so humanity s relationship could be restored
to the way it was originally intended to be. Sin entered the world through the disobedience of the first
humans beings created. The relationship between God and humanity was marred and could only be
restored through the atonement of Jesus Christ. A surface look of Jesus life would produce an
overview such as this. Jesus mission on earth was to redeem humanity but there are many aspects of
His ministry that can be understood at a deeper level. The events which transpired in His ministry
could not be attributed to the man Jesus but to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A traditional Christology would attribute it to His divine nature while Spirit Christology would claim
that it was from the Spirit who empowered Him. Scripture recorded that Jesus claimed many different
times that He performed miracles through the Spirit of God including texts such as Mt. 12:28.
Observing the ministry of Jesus from the Spirit Christological perspective does not transform the
paradigm of Jesus ministry, rather it shifts the source of Jesus power. Presenting the comparison
between His divine nature and the Holy Spirit should not be a focused issue rather it should promote
insight to the interworking of Jesus ministry.
The power of the Spirit in Jesus should be an example of how believers should interact with the Spirit.
As Jesus told His disciples of the helper He would send to them (Jn 15:26), believers today have the
privilege to be empowered by the Holy Spirit as well. The disciples witnessed the miracles which
Jesus performed and from this example they were able to have powerful ministries as well. Jesus
ministry consisted of redeeming humanity from sin, performing miracles full of the Spirit and making
available the power of the Spirit. His mission did not stop at establishing the Kingdom on earth, the
great commission provides guidance to believers with what He wants for the Kingdom. The work of
the Holy Spirit in Jesus ministry did not start at the baptism at the Jordan rather it started much earlier
than His

Marx s Views On Capitalism
Capitalism was believed to be the answer to achieve an ideal society. Necessary for means to grow as
a society, a community, a population. This system was utilized to create technological advancements,
build networking, ensure equal rights for all owners, and improve the quality life. This was deemed to
be done through competition. Competition that consisted of individuals striving to be better than the
other. This left individuals with no choice but to compete with their neighbors, friends, and family.
Capitalism was supposedly believed to be virtuous for all, bringing the individual closer to self
actualization. However, as Karl Marx predicted, this system was, and still is, too good to be true.
Frederick Engels analyzed Marx s work and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The economic base of society is significant as it shapes the superstructure of society. Capitalism is an
unethical economic system that ultimately results to failure in blame of it s contradictions.
The opposition of claims or facts made within a certain situation is otherwise known to be a
contradiction. An analogy representing a contradiction is something being black and white at the same
time, as opposed to being grey. This generates a great deal of confusion to many. Capitalism is
consisted of bounteous contradictions, making it subsequent to disruption. In the foreground, the
fundamental contradiction of capitalism is ultimately between the opposing forces of social production
and capitalist appropriation of productions. Products are produced through social relations, in large
workshops and manufactories. A number of people are needed to create the whole of the product. As
well, each person has an assigned task to complete with the use of the owner s instruments of labour.
In addition, the proletariat in return receive minimum wages. As a result of the instruments of labour
belonging to the owner, the goods produced belong to the proprietor as well. The contradiction is
entirely illogical, as social means are expended to generate production, albeit the commodity belongs
to the individual capitalist, also known as the bourgeoisie. Equally significant, this system creates
inequality as the workers receive low income wages, while

Advertisement Analysis Advertisement
Advertisement Analysis Essay Throughout our lives, we re constantly coming upon advertisements.
As you watch TV, listen to the radio, or scroll up and down on social media you re more than likely to
come upon advertisements that involve athletics. Sports and ads are two things that most likely could
be heard or seen. Most people relate to these as well. Normally, an advertisements purpose is to give
away a message as well as promote what they are wanting you to buy. My first advertisement is a
Nike commercial. It is called This Is Us . It is promoting their Nike clothing products. The audience of
this ad is targeted towards women athletes. It talks about how girls aren t just for the stereotypical
things people picturing them doing. For example, they say we have delicate hands or how we re just
supposed to smile pretty and not be heard. The implied argument is that girls can accomplish things
just like men can. This advertisement shows women can do more than what has been expected of them
since the olden days. This ad helps to persuade the people watching because it shows many different
parts of what people put us out to be, and what girls really can be. For example, in this ad one of the
first parts shown is a woman dressed up, it says you know us, we smile pretty . It then goes to show
that same girl standing up and smiling for the camera and training in the gym for a boxing match. The
next part shows a woman using her hands to cook she says, our hands are fine

The Similarities and Differences Between Greek and Roman...
In Ovid Metamorphoses, the Roman literature described the ruthless act of Pluto of rape, to seize and
carry away Proserpine without the consent of Ceres and in parallel in the Homeric Hymns of Demeter;
Persephone was seized and carried away by Hades without the consent of Demeter. The invariant
theme that was identified in both the Greek and Roman literature was the loss of innocence of
Persephone/Proserpine. Despite the various differences the story was presented, it reinforced the
innocence that was stolen from the god of the underworld, Hades or also known as Pluto. Throughout
this paper, it will discuss the similar characteristics of the two myths such as the motive that led and
encouraged the god of the underworld to kidnap ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Despite the similarities in both the Homeric Hymns to Demeter and Ovid Metamorphoses, the Roman
literature incorporated new characters into the myth of the rape of Proserpine. In the Homeric Hymns
to Demeter, the gods and goddesses that were involved in the abduction of Persephone were Gaia,
Zeus, and Hades whereas in Ovid Metamorphoses, Venus, the goddess of sexuality and Cupid, the son
of Venus and god of desire were introduced and involved in the scheme of the abduction of
Proserpine.
Unlike in the Homeric Hymns to Demeter, in the Roman literature, Jove and Gaia were involved in
the abduction of Persephone/Proserpine, representing one of the differences that Ovid did not retain
with the earlier Greek source.
In the Roman literature, it illustrated the myth that Pluto stole Proserpine s innocence due to effects of
cupid s arrow sent by Venus. Through an analytical perspective, Ovid illustrated Venus as the goddess
who too wanted the unification of the three cosmos for extension of power why should hell lag
behind? Why not there too extend your mother s empire and your own? (Met., p. 110) and being the
goddess of sexuality and not having the power to tamper with the virginities of Pallas and Diana but
Proserpine, she planned to kill two birds with one stone by summoning her son Cupid to shoot an
arrow through Pluto s heart against his and shot the barbed shaft deep in Pluto s heart (Met., p. 111) to
take away Proserpine s virginity followed by her

Isolation Of Holden Caulfield
Imagine being a depressed teenager who just got expelled from boarding school, and on the verge of a
mental breakdown. The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, follows the life of a depressed six foot
two and a half inch, partially gray haired, and woefully angular sixteen year old Holden Caulfield.
Recovering from a recent breakdown, Holden tells his story from a mental institution in California.
His older brother D.B. is a successful writer in Hollywood, and his younger sister Phoebe is attending
elementary school in New York City. At thirteen years of age, Holden entered adulthood because his
brother Allie died from leukemia. Instead of seeing pulchritude, Holden started to view the world as
an atrocious place, populated by phonies who ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His loneliness arose because no one seemed to share his view of the world. His friends and classmates
did not experience what he went through after Allie died. Before being expelled, Holden attended
Pencey Prep, an upscale school in Agerstown, Pennsylvania. Holden talks to his history teacher, Mr.
Spencer, about getting expelled from Pencey Prep. The headmaster of Pencey, Dr. Thurmer, claimed
Holden wasn t playing the game of life. Dr. Thurmer gives Holden advice that life is a game. Holden
is referring to the game of life. Despite being from a privileged New York family, Holden feels
alienated, alone, and victimized, as if the world is against him. Thus, he feels no need to follow the
rules. Holden entered adulthood before his peers. He identifies with those on the other side of the
game, and views the wealthy kids at his schools as a bunch of phonies. Their lives are simple and they
do not have to endure pain. He cannot connect with them because none of them experienced the pain
he went through when Allie died. None of them understand Holden. Life is only a game for the people

Elinor Ostrom Essay
Elinor Ostrom is a well known political scientist whose work earned her a name in the subject of
economics. She was considered influential and inspirational based on her research arguing against the
ideas of the tragedy of the common. Today, she holds the title as the first and only female to win a
Nobel Prize in economics. Elinor was born in Los Angeles, California on August 7, 1933. Her birth
took place at the time of the Great Depression where many of the lands agriculture was scarce.

success as an economist. In the year 1965 Elinor married her colleague Vincent Ostrom. They worked
as a team to further research on the common pool issue. Together they established a philosophical
foundation workshop called the Political Theory and Policy Analysis. The logic behind its creation is
based on a variety of economic, political science, and other disciplines to understand the ecological
and social economic behavioral affects and outcomes (Elinor Ostrom Biographical). Garette Hardin
created the idea of the Tragedy of the Commons stating that people think only of their own self
interests when sharing a common resource therefore leading to its depletion. However, Elinor argued
that common resources are well managed when those who benefit from it the most will become in
danger if controlled by external benefactors. Her research came to a conclusion that most individuals
have real preferences and if presented a situation where they can evolve trust and reciprocity, they will
manage those resources (Profile of Elino Ostrom). She successfully demonstrated her findings that

Eurodisney
Euro Disney: The First 100 Days The decision to open a theme park in France was not the best idea.
There were many factors that proved to hinder the advancement of progress in regards to the European
extension of Disney since its inception. The foremost would be that of the civil unrest that seemed to
plague France at the time Euro Disney was scheduled to open. There were protests, transportation
strikes, terrorist threats, etc. all which directly or indirectly affected the Euro Disney s attendance.
Also, the $10 million ad campaign seemed very costly, especially considering the fact that this was
more than two decades ago. French critics seemed to be excessively harsh as well. On a positive note,

Euro Disney should have made the core of its theme park employee s ones who already were
employed with Disney in the US or US citizens familiar with Disney. If Euro Disney is contemplating
proceeding with a second phase, it would not be a recommended step. The company needs to first
address the issues at hand, low attendance for example, or poor customer service. After handling those
issues, only then will the company is ready to proceed with the next step. Euro Disney has learned
many lessons, the foremost being that the countries reception of a company can positively or
negatively affect the sales of said company. This is evidenced by the extremely negative reviews and
harsh French criticism received by Euro Disney and the company not meeting expectations. The park
should not be adapted for the local market because that is not what the consumer is looking for. The
customer wants to have the Disney feel, and to take away from that by making changes to it takes
away the opportunity for them to obtain that Disney feel. In regards to staffing, Euro Disney should
have outsourced to the US. Because most US citizens are familiar with the Disney culture, they would
be better suited to relay said culture to the European population as Disney employees. Works Cited 1.

The Importance Of Police Brutalitying In The National Anthem
I. Introduction Did you know, in America today, there are 14,000 recorded incidents involving police
brutality to this day. That s a large number. Day after day, police brutality incidents are increasing, but
is constantly left unnoticed. Although police brutality protest makes major headlines from time to
time, let s be honest, no one watches the news. So how exactly are Americans supposed to get the
message across? How are they supposed to educate the people? How are they supposed to make it
known? Well, the sports leagues have set the bait, and everyone else is eating it. To kneel during the
playing of the National Anthem is an effective and intuitive way of informing the public of societal
problems that exist in everyday society.
II. Body Paragraph #1 What does it mean to be oppressed? To be exact it s a prolonged cruel or unjust
treatment. To make the main topic at issue come to light, a football player by the name of Colin
Kaepernick, decided to kneel during the playing of the National Anthem. Kaepernick made national,
in fact, International headlines for this unusual act. And that s exactly what he wanted. The act of
kneeling during the anthem is an immaculate sign of protest because it sparks and generates
conversation about topics that need to be conversed about. According to a poll done by the CNN, 49%
of Americans believe kneeling is a bad way to protest, while 42% think it isn t. This conversation and
inequality are exactly what was wanted from these

The Risks And The Management Of Adolescents With Eating...
In July, 2014 an education article was written by Michael W. Roberts, DDS, MScD and Travis M.
Hicks, DDS, MS called Warning Signs . Both show similar research interests in the risks and the
management of adolescents with eating disorders. The funding provided was supplied by the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. The ultimate goal of this research
was to educate dental professionals on anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa and how to identify the
predisposing factors.
To begin, Hicks and Roberts start off by start off by telling us that statistically speaking anorexia and
bulimia are serious medical conditions that most commonly effect adolescents and young adults. In
2014, 70 million people worldwide showed clinical signs and symptoms of eating disorders out of that
70 million people, 24 million accounted for the United States alone. Both men and women are
affected by these eating disorders, but is seen more predominately in women struggling with inner
body issues. As an example in Western cultures, the success that you achieve is obtained by how
attractive and thin a person is perceived to be by others.
Both disorders are classified as psychosocial disorders which as both Hicks and Robert explain is a
link between how each individual person perceives themselves when they connected food with their
bodies. These specific types of psychosocial disorders gives a person a distorted view on eating
behavior and habits that are unhealthy and

The Age Of Milton Freedman Summary
In the past quarter century, the world has seen a large uptick in the adoption of free market policies as
a part of countries governments. Rolling back regulations as a way to strengthen the force of the
market. The emergence of free market policies in the last quarter of the century has led to several
advancements in the living standards, economic growth, and access to education for the citizens of the
world. Yet despite the global progress there still seems to be a large disparity in wealth for the citizens
of the world. The primary issue when regarding the policy making for adapting to the new world of

The two authors argue the main issue that India is continuing to face are due to the lack of concern for
citizens especially for the poor citizens and women. Dreze and Sen proceed into their work as they
continue to portray the way in which the citizens of India were being oppressed by the new economic
and political policies. One of the issues Dreze and Sen use as an example of how India rapid economic
growth is problematic is the countries lack to foster participation for economic growth. The lack of
inclusion in economic growth leads to a wealth disparity between the citizens. The authors continue
on depicting several other issues another one being the lack of enhancement to the standard of living
despite generating economic growth from the use of public goods. The standards of living are a huge
issue with India as it signals there is a large disparity within wealth. Dreze and Sen continue to
document the lack of social and living standards especially in the case of education, medical care, and
physical services like clean water, electricity, drainage, and sanitation. The authors proceed to make
note how without a development of a social structure within India high economic growth can harm the
citizens and ultimately neglect civil, political, and social rights. Dreze and Sen then

Betrayal In Macbeth Essay
Regarded as the darkest and most powerful work of Shakespeare, The Tragedy of Macbeth (1606),
follows the corruption of high nobility and the potent consequences that come with choosing evil over
good. Shakespeare tells the story of a courageous Scottish gentleman named Macbeth, the Thane of
Glamis, who receives a prophecy from three witches that he will become the Thane of Cawdor and
King of Scotland. Consumed by this insight and overwhelming ambition, Macbeth s actions snowball
into a plot of blood, madness, betrayal and the supernatural. Shakespeare used characterisation,

(II.I.XXXIII)
This apparition which Macbeth states in his soliloquy is just the brink of multiple hallucinations that
will come upon him. As time passes Macbeth s morals and guilty conscience overwhelm him. When
Macbeth has a nervous breakdown at a feast, shocked by seeing the gory ghost of Banquo, he realises
that he must acknowledge his sins and well as contemplating Macduff s future, I m in blood stepp d in

Macbeth comes to terms with his sins and from this, realises that the choice or either trying to repent
for his crimes, or continuing are both equally challenging. This choice calls into question Macbeth s
character, and shows that his ambition truly does override anything else, as he chooses to continue
down the path of murder and sin.
Later Lady Macbeth s sleepwalking where she hallucinates is a result of her mind in despair. Lack of

No Child Left Behind ( Nclb )
In 1965, then President Johnson signed the Elementary and Secondary Education Act into law. Over
the years it has been repeatedly reauthorized and updated by congress. No Child Left Behind (NCLB)
was first introduced as House Resolution 1 during the 107th Congress in March of 2001. The Act
aimed to ensure that all students regardless of race or socioeconomic status would have the
opportunity for a solid education. The 2002 reauthorization included major bipartisan efforts to expose
achievement gaps between sets of children and hold schools accountable for closing the gaps and
helping all children succeed. In 2002, President George W. Bush signed the Act into law (McGuinn,

Tasks within this zone are endeavors that a child cannot yet accomplish on his/her own but could with
the assistance of competent adults (Slavin, 2012). NCLB pays a great deal of attention to test scores
and hence mandated that all teachers must be highly qualified by the end of the 2006 school year.
Highly qualified meant that a teacher must meet the license and certification requirements of the state
in which they teach. Slavin wrote that a teacher must also hold at least a bachelor s degree and must
pass state testing criteria and also demonstrate competency in the subject area in order to continue
teaching (Slavin, 2012). Now if a teacher did not meet any of these qualifications by the end of the
2005/2006 school year, they would not be allowed to teach again until these mandatory requirements
were met. It also mandated that all students in a school must be proficient by the 2013/2014 school
year. Each state would determine its own standards of proficiency for the students in its state. If at any
point a school repeatedly produces students who are not proficient in their studies, the students at said
school would have additional assistance programs available to them, such as the ability to attend one
of at least two other schools in the district.

Buddhism In China Dbq
DBQ: Buddhism in China
After the fall of the Han dynasty, many Chinese people converted to Buddhism. They seeked a simpler
way of life among all of the chaos and political instability going on at the time. This led to a drop in
productivity in China, as many Buddhists spent their time meditating. The rise in Buddhism among
the lower class led to a hate for the religion by the upper class. While some people saw Buddhism as a
new form of thinking in China s evolving social landscape, many others saw it as a threat to the
traditional Chinese way of life, as they were reluctant to change.
Buddhism was favored by the poor, uneducated people of China, as it offered assurance to a better

Sacraments As A Critical Part Of The Catholic Faith
Sacraments Sacraments are a critical part of the foundation of the catholic faith, but where did the
sacraments originate? Our faith comes from the preachings of Jesus but he never specifically
described the sacraments and how to perform them. There are seven sacraments in the catholic church
and three initiation sacraments, which must be completed in order to be a full member of the church.
These sacraments when completed together allow you t become one in God, but where do the
sacraments draw their power and how?
The first recorded baptism was performed by John the Baptist. John the Baptist is Jesus cousin and
was deemed the preparer for his cousin. John was called to prepare for the coming of the lord and the
kingdom of God as well warn people for their ultimate judgement. John called on his followers to
repent and make ready their hearts for the Lord, this was accomplished through baptism. John would
immerse his follower in the river Jordan; however, in order for the sacrament to have validity multiple
essential things must first be accomplished. John s followers must have complete faith in his message
of the Messiah; they must also recognize that this was a sacrament of repentance that must lead to
change. Confession was also a necessary part of John s baptism and ultimately repentance and the
forgiveness of sin. Through this process, one is able to be renewed in the Lord and be prepared for the
arrival of the Messiah and their final judgement. For by one

Origin Of Runes Research Paper
Myth attributes the origins of runes to the Norse god Odin. Legend describes how Odin hung himself
from the World Tree, Yggdrasil, speared himself, and for nine days and nights, Odin travelled to and
from the edge of death; a painful, mystical journey of self sacrifice and self awareness on which he
discovered the runes. Odin then taught the goddess Freya, the wisdom of the runes, who later passed
on the knowledge of rune symbolism to Heimdall, god of the Rainbow Bridge, attributed with
teaching runic characters and mystical lore to humanity.
Runic inscriptions have been found on weaponry, boulders, manuscripts, jewellery, and other personal
objects. Runes were in common use up until the Middle Ages, with runic carvings found as far north
as Iceland, and as far south as England, where runes were used by wise counsellors and Anglo Saxon
high chieftains. Although runes were used by the Vikings, earliest runic inscriptions predate the Viking
tribes. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some believe runes originated from either Latin, Turkish, or Etruscan languages. Other rune
enthusiasts have theorized that runes were developed from Old Italic, or Greek, however, this seems
highly unlikely for two main reasons. Firstly, Old Italic evolved from Etruscan, an ancient Greek
alphabet which evolved from the Semitic alphabet, disseminated by the Phoenicians. The Semitic
alphabet, Old Italic, and Greek alphabets, commence with the characters, Alpha and Beta. These two
letters are distinctly absent from all early runic inscriptions. Secondly, the oldest rune engravings
display runes that were written, and read, sometimes left to right, other times right to left, and in some
instances, both right to left and left to right in the same inscription. It was not until the runic alphabet
converged with Roman imperialism, that runes were predominantly written and read, left to

Crop Yield And Juice Quality
4.1 Crop yield and juice quality
Soil sickness of sugarcane monoculture, expressed as a reduction of cane yield, stalk diameter and
biomass when sugarcane is cultivated on the same soil sequentially, is one of the foremost problems in
sugarcane production, particularly in field conditions (Li et al. 2015; Li and Yang, 2015). Sugarcane is
an important crop in Guangxi, China, but due to its long duration annual economic returns tend to be
lower than some other crops. Intercropping of short duration crops with sugarcane could increase
benefits. Our result showed that lower sugarcane yield under monoculture system in both the
locations, but intercropping systems had minor enhancement although it is not statistically significant.
Moreover, sugarcane with soybean intercropping had higher productivity than monoculture and
sugarcane with peanut. These results indicated that intercropping sugarcane with soybean was
beneficial for sugarcane yield and soil sickness relieving. The same yield promoting effect had also
been observed in sugarcane potato (Singh et al. 2010), soybean sugarcane intercropping (Yang et al.
2013) and sugarcane cassava intercropping (Li et al. 2015). Thereafter, quality of cane juice was also
showed no significant effect with intercropping and these results also correlated with previous
research on sugarcane intercropping (Yang et al. 2013). However, intercrops selection should carefully
consider the excessive risk of inter specific competition. Kaur et al.

How Did Henry Ford Change The World
Henry Ford an entrepreneur, and a very successful man in the early 1900s who helped changed the
world. Henry Ford was born in 1863 in Dearborn, Michigan, and was the first surviving son of Henry
Ford and Mary Ford who owned a farm. In the 1920s Henry Ford invented the Ford Motor Company,
the Model T, and changed the world. Inspiration and motivation is what kept Henry Ford going. In
1896, he completed what he called the Quadricycle,(Henry Ford) and this would inspire him and
motivate him to improve on his prototype. He would then keep selling his Quadricycle to keep
funding other future projects.Within the next seven years he would receive backing from many
different investors, some of whom formed the Detroit Automobile company in 1899,(Henry ... Show

By making the Model T more suburbs started to emerge, houses now had driveways, and there was no
more need for the horse and wagon. As more and more people got a vehicle they did not have to live
as close to their job as they used to and this resulted in the suburbs emerging. With the Model T new
roads had to be built to get people and these vehicles back and forth from their destination. As suburbs
became common houses needed to be built and rather than building a house with no driveway,
driveways had to be built to let the vehicle fit in instead of it being in the road. The horse and wagon
were rarely being used do to the Model T s popularity and availability because people were getting
more money and buying the car, so people just stopped using the horse and wagon. Henry Ford was a
successful man for his time, but unfortunately he died at his Dearborn home, at the age of 83 (Henry

Introduction: For centuries we have seen some of the worst illnesses like smallpox, bubonic plague,
and black plague stricken many countries, and decimating the world population, and since the post
war era the USA has been the leader on investing on scientific Research and Development. However,
now due to budgetary constraints, while the threat of more infectious illnesses becoming endemic is a

Nurse Mentoring Concept Analysis Response
Nurse Mentoring Concept Analysis Response
Introduction
According to McEwen and Wills, concepts in the nursing profession are words that describe a variable
of nursing practice (2014, pg. 50). Concepts, once defined, are used in research to test hypotheses that
will increase knowledge and theory development. However, concept definitions change with time and
context. Therefore, it is important to thoroughly and succinctly define concepts within an analysis for
a meaningful application.
Mentoring in nursing practice has been thought of as a beneficial way of increasing nursing
knowledge for several decades (Stewart Krueger, 1996, pg. 311). However, the concept of mentoring
had not been defined or analyzed, which made researching its effectiveness useless. This concept
analysis of mentoring in nursing practice shows that mentoring can be mutually beneficial for a
mentor, protégé, and nursing practice. However, further research on this concept is necessary to
determine the broader application to nursing as a scientific discipline.
Method of Analysis
In the concept analysis of mentoring, Stewart and Krueger used the evolutionary method by Rodgers
(Stewart Krueger, 1996, pg. 312). This method involves multiple steps of analysis that are often
occurring concurrently rather than completing a step after one is completed. The benefit of this
method is that it has clear phases in the analytical process but is time efficient because steps are
occurring at the same time. It also

Saving Animal Shelters In America
Introduction
Murdered animals are the result of animals shelters neglecting to take care of them. They are left with
untreated diseases, and severe abandonment. No home and no one to take care of them; this is what it
s like for these animals everyday, and it s because of traditional kill shelters. A recent study conducted
that there are 70 million stray cats and dogs live in the United States. There are 13,600 estimated
animal shelters nationwide. Only 7.6 million companion animals enter animal shelters every year. It s
the lack of animal shelters letting animals in, or killing them instead, that has cause so many to die. An

Daffodils By Wordsworth
INTRODUCTION:
The poem was written in the year 1802. It was first published in Poems in Two Volumes, in 1807. The
very starting line of the poem I wandered lonely as a cloud informs the poet s profound sentiments of
being left alone. It was actually the death of his brother John that led him to loneliness . We should
remind the readers that this poem was not a result of imagination. Dorothy, Wordsworth s sister
provides us an explanation of the occasion which inspired Wordsworth to produce this masterpiece:
When we were in the woods beyond Gowbarrow Park, we saw a few daffodils close to waterside.
Thus the poem is a result of actual visualization rather than imagery .
In English literature, Wordsworth and his friend, Samuel Taylor ... Show more content on

This presents an idea of seclusion. The idea of being alone is contradicted by the phrase crowd (line
3). This is actually the setting of the poem . As human form Wordsworth prefers seclusion but the
crowd of daffodils bewilders his senses. The feeling of ecstasy suddenly makes a dive.
This poem, obviously inspired by Wordsworth s stomping grounds, is well loved because of its simple
yet beautiful rhythms and rhymes, and its rather sentimental topic. The poem consists of four six line
stanzas, each of which follow an ababcc rhyme scheme and are written in iambic tetrameter, giving
the poem a subtle back and forth motion that recalls swaying daffodils.
By comparing himself to a cloud in the first line of the poem, the speaker signifies his close
identification with the nature that surrounds him. He also demonstrates this connection by
personifying the daffodils several times, even calling them a crowd as if they are a group of

Skin Representation Lab Report
The research group carried out a genome wide association to scan for sequence variants that influence
hair color, eye color and skin color in the europeans. Pigmentation in humans is attributed to the
number type and cellular distribution of melanosomes. When different number of melanosomes are
produced, they cause the differences in the skin pigmentation. The experiment was done with a sample
of people from Iceland and Holland. The results of this experiment showed how the samples were
broadly similar despite the fact that icelanders have more red hair, freckles and green eyes. They

differences in the pigmentation. Each of these variants are viewed to have a moderate effect on

human skin pigmentation and proximity to the equator. The results of this research support the
conclusion that most of the pigmentation variants discovered in this study show positive selection in
European populations. The advantage of having a lighter skin pigmentation is that it facilitates the
formation of Vitamin D3 though lighter skin people live in colder areas where there is low exposure to

Propaganda In Advertising
In advertisement, propaganda is all around. It is in newspaper articles, television ads, movies, and a
plethora of other things. Propaganda is a type of advertisement that shows how good or how much
better a product is that anything else in that department. Advertisers lean heavily on propaganda to sell
products, whether the products are a brand of toothpaste, a candidate for office, or a particular political
viewpoint. (The Longman Writer McClintock s Essay Pg. 232). There are seven main types of
propaganda, Name Calling, Glittering Generalities, Transfer, Testimonial, Plain Folks, Card Stacking,
and Bandwagon. Since its first use, most people when they hear propaganda, think only about political
ads but that is not all that propaganda is used for. Although propaganda may seem relevant only in the
political arena, the concept can be applied fruitfully to the way products and ideas are sold in
advertising. (The Longman Writer McClintock s Essay Pg. 232) Two very good examples of using
propaganda techniques are a State Farm commercial, and a Farmers advertisement. The State Farm ad
is a beautifully done, two minute long commercial that is meant to pull on the heart string of the
watcher with a technique such as Plain Folks. The farmers advertisement on the other hand is a think
out of the box comical commercial that does not cause emotions to stir but instead makes up it up with
a Testimonial. Both ads are very appealing to the eyes and don t use attacks on another

How Does Woolf Present Women In The Great Gatsby
Women and Expectations in the 1920s Virginia Woolf expresses a lot of different aspects of characters
in Mrs. Dalloway, and one of them is the relation of the characteristics of Clarissa Dalloway and
women in the 1920s in general. In this story, Clarissa Dalloway is a character who most likely to be
expressed as mellow and miserable. She is miserable and sad because she is most likely stuck in her
previous life, regarding her previous relationship and memories with somebody. She has been thinking
about it every single day and she cannot get rid of it. Her unhappiness is caused by her lack of
activities and social life, and she was encouraged to choose quick decision by her mindset at that time

Gender Issues in Washington Irving s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
At first glance, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving seems to be an innocent tale
about a superstitious New England town threatened by a strange new comer, Icabod Crane. However,
this descriptive narrative is more than just a simple tale because it addresses several gender issues that
deserve attention. The pervasiveness of female influence in Sleepy Hollow and the conflict between
male and female storytelling in this Dutch community are two pertinent gender issues that complicate
Irving s work and ultimately enable the women of Sleepy Hollow to control the men and maintain
order.

Rather, we are left with a sense of relief at Crane s removal from Sleepy Hollow. Thus the tale
presents a stark contrast to Rip Van Winkle. In that story, women attempt and fail to confront men
openly; in Sleepy Hollow, female behavior is much more subversive and effective.
Female behavior in Sleepy Hollow is a result of its feminine setting. Irving s tale preserves the
maintenance of the feminine and the landscape is described as having maternal characteristics. For
example, Sleepy Hollow lies in the bosom of a cove lining the Hudson (Irving 948), and the valley is
embosomed in the great state of New York (Irving 950). Clearly the repose and security of Sleepy
Hollow rest in the maternal landscape an assumption so pervasive that even our male narrator attests
to it. For as he observes, the act of naming falls to women in this Dutch village. For example, The
good house wives of the adjacent country, from the inveterate propensity of their husbands to linger
about the village tavern on market days, have named the nearby rural port Tarry Town (Irving 948).
The name and power of naming thus operates as a gently sarcastic means of reproaching unruly
husbands and of preserving female dominance over the Hollow.
In the beginning of the tale Irving describes the narrator as

Airport Security Essay
After the devastating terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, the United States has increased its
efforts in protecting its airports. At that time, the security scanners already in place in most airports
included baggage x rays, metal detectors, and chemical residue detectors, which help security staff
search out illegal items that a passenger might have (DiLascio). These security scanners unfortunately
failed in their job. Since then, the Transportation Security Administration has been keeping American
airports safe using the latest technology. Airports have now been fitted with high tech body scanners

threats ( Mad as Hell ).
After the terrorist attacks the Transportation Security Administration has introduced new and
advanced technology, called Backscatter technology, to airports. Before the Backscatter, commonly
called a full body scanner, was introduced into the equation the metal detector was the main
instrument in finding illegal objects. However, this tool was only useful in finding metal objects. The
Backscatter technology has made the metal detector obsolete because it finds any illegal object or
substance that may be concealed under clothes. One of the most effective additions to airport security
in the United States following the attacks of September 11, 2001, is the full body scanner. Whereas
metal detectors are only useful for locating guns, knives, and metallic weapons, full body scanners
look beneath the clothes, locating weapons and substances that are heavily concealed and not visible
under a metal detector (Auerbach). In order for the
Backscatter technology to work, it has to emit a small dose of radiation. This is where the argument
about heath risks comes in. Backscatter technology

Everything we have is a gift from God. We owe him everything, including our very lives. It is possible

yellow color if acid is produced, which would occur in lactose fermentation. The Durham tube allows

My Experience On A Boat Ride To Catalina Island
One of my greatest field trips ever was on a boat ride to Catalina Island. It consisted of a three day
overnight trip to the beautiful Island. My Dad and I woke up at 4:35 in the morning just to get to
school on time to load up the bus. On the way to school, my dad and I stopped at three different stores
to make sure we had enough food, and supplies for the boat ride. I was tired, but super excited! Once
we arrived at school, we immediately started packing up the bus. Everyone looked like they just got
drug out of the bed by their parents, just to come to another regular, boring day of school. I think I was
the only one who was really excited; except for my Dad of course. Once the bus was completely
packed with all our supplies, we all used the restroom, then hopped on the bus. As we drove down the
freeway, my classmates and I played fun games like: I Spy and truth or dare. When we arrived in Long
Beach, my friends and I decided to skip rocks by throwing the rocks into the water. Unfortunately, we
got reprimanded by the person who worked there. That embarrassment did not last long because of the
exciting adventure ahead. I was surprised to see how wrong I was about the type of boat that we
would be taking. All along, I thought we were going to be taking an old wooden boat like those in the
old movies. Thankfully, I became pleasantly surprised when I saw a modern motor boat. Suddenly, the
engine turned on, and I was afraid for our lives. The woman driving sped the whole way there. It was
a long and bumpy ride. After safely making it to Catalina Island, I wanted to hurry and throw on my
swim trunks so that I could jump in the clear beautiful water. The water was so clear, that I could see
fish brushing against my legs. As we stepped off of the boat and followed our camp leader, we sat

High School Athletes Should Be Required
The NCAA states, Nearly eight million students currently participate in high school athletics in the
United States. More than 460,000 compete as NCAA athletes, and just a select few within each sport
move on to compete at the professional or Olympic level ( Estimated Probability ). Everyone agrees
that Americans have to improve academic achievement in schools today; however, it is hard to do so
with a barrage of athletic activities. Students are focusing more on sports then academics, and this
diversion seems to be costly. In order to fix this, high school athletes should be required to maintain a
2.3 grade point average in order to participate in sports because the primary mission of any serious
academic institution must be to develop the young person s intellectual and cognitive skills and help
one get recruited; also, there is a very low chance of athletes continuing their careers at the college or
professional level.
The primary purpose of any academic institution is to develop and prepare a young person for after his
schooling years. In, The Purpose of Schools, Michael Peterson states the two goals of any school: to
teach students who have specific skills to perform jobs, and introduce students to active citizenry
(Peterson). In other words, Peterson argues how a school must prepare one for his or her future instead
of preparing them for a career in sports. John Dewey writes, Education should create an interest in all

Ozymandias and the Grecian Urn Paper
Even though Ozymandias by Percy Shelley and Ode to a Grecian Urn by John Keats sound like very
different types of poems, they still share some of the same characteristics. In Ozymandias, Shelley
tells a story of how a man found a ancient statue of a king, with the words My name is Ozymandias,
King of Kings,/ Look on my Works, ye Might, and despair! The statue was broken into pieces, and the
land was bare, with nothing to look on (11). In Ode to a Grecian Urn, Keats is speaking to an ancient

The poem gives the reader a feeling of loneliness and emptiness by using lines like The lone and level
sands and boundless and bare (14, 13). In Ode to a Grecian Urn , the connotations of the words that
Keats uses are completely opposite. Keats even describes the urn as being able to tell A flowery tale
more sweetly than [their] rhyme (4). Keats then goes on to state that the melodies unheard/ Are
sweeter; therefore, ye soft pipes, play on (11 12). These lines are so light and pretty especially
compared to the harshness of Shelley s poem. Keats describes the beautiful pictures on the urn
throughout the rest of the poem, even making a sacrifice sound peaceful. Even though the way the
poems objects interact with the passing of time and the feelings the poems invoke in the reader differ
greatly, the romantic characteristics that both poems symbolize are very similar. Ironically, the
opposite parallels of the two poems have a way of representing a romantic mindset. For example, the
romantics believed that nature is supposed to teach. In Ozymandias , nature destroys a statue and a
town that had arisen from greed and the abuse of power. The king is stated to have a sneer of cold
command and a heart that fed his own desires (4,8). The trunkless legs of stone and a shattered visage

Wireless Networks can be broadly classified into three categories: Infrastructure based networks,
Wireless LANs and Ad Hoc Networks. Infrastructure based networks are traditional cellular systems
which requires base station infrastructure. Wireless LANs are very flexible within the reception area.
It requires low bandwidth when compared to wired networks. Ad Hoc networks is useful when the
infrastructure is not available, impractical or expensive to build.
In Cellular Wireless, spaces are divided into cells. Each cell consists of base station which is
responsible to communicate with the hosts in its cell. Hosts moves from one cell to cell to another and
hand off occurs, the new base station takes care of the communication. In Multi hop wireless, mobility
causes change of route. Hence it need to traverse multiple links to reach destination. Ad hoc network
is a self organizing multi hop wireless network which relies neither on infrastructure nor on the
predetermined connectivity.
Rapid deployment of independent mobile users will be the need of the next generation wireless
communication systems. A mobile ad hoc network is an autonomous collection of mobile users that

As Jesus told His disciples of the helper He would send to them (Jn 15:26), believers today have the privilege to be empowered by the Holy Spirit as well. The disciples witnessed the miracles which Jesus performed and from this example they were able to have powerful ministries as well. Jesus ministry consisted of redeeming humanity from sin, performing miracles full of the Spirit and making available the power of the Spirit. His mission did not stop at establishing the Kingdom on earth, the great commission provides guidance to believers with what He wants for the Kingdom. The work of the Holy Spirit in Jesus ministry did not start at the baptism at the Jordan rather it started much earlier than His ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This system was utilized to create technological advancements, build networking, ensure equal rights for all owners, and improve the quality life. This was deemed to be done through competition. Competition that consisted of individuals striving to be better than the other. This left individuals with no choice but to compete with their neighbors, friends, and family. An analogy representing a contradiction is something being black and white at the same time, as opposed to being grey. This generates a great deal of confusion to many. Capitalism is consisted of bounteous contradictions, making it subsequent to disruption. In the foreground, the fundamental contradiction of capitalism is ultimately between the opposing forces of social production and capitalist appropriation of productions. Products are produced through social relations, in large workshops and manufactories. A number of people are needed to create the whole of the product. As well, each person has an assigned task to complete with the use of the owner s instruments of labour. In addition, the proletariat in return receive minimum wages. As a result of the instruments of labour belonging to the owner, the goods produced belong to the proprietor as well. The contradiction is entirely illogical, as social means are expended to generate production, albeit the commodity belongs to the individual capitalist, also known as the bourgeoisie. In Ovid Metamorphoses, the Roman literature described the ruthless act of Pluto of rape, to seize and carry away Proserpine without the consent of Ceres and in parallel in the Homeric Hymns of Demeter; Persephone was seized and carried away by Hades without the consent of Demeter. The invariant theme that was identified in both the Greek and Roman literature was the loss of innocence of Persephone/Proserpine. Despite the various differences the story was presented, it reinforced the innocence that was stolen from the god of the underworld, Hades or also known as Pluto. Unlike in the Homeric Hymns to Demeter, in the Roman literature, Jove and Gaia were involved in the abduction of Persephone/Proserpine, representing one of the differences that Ovid did not retain with the earlier Greek source. In the Roman literature, it illustrated the myth that Pluto stole Proserpine s innocence due to effects of cupid s arrow sent by Venus. Through an analytical perspective, Ovid illustrated Venus as the goddess who too wanted the unification of the three cosmos for extension of power why should hell lag behind? Why not there too extend your mother s empire and your own? • 24. Nurse Mentoring Concept Analysis Response Nurse Mentoring Concept Analysis Response Introduction According to McEwen and Wills, concepts in the nursing profession are words that describe a variable of nursing practice (2014, pg. 50). Concepts, once defined, are used in research to test hypotheses that will increase knowledge and theory development. However, concept definitions change with time and context. Therefore, it is important to thoroughly and succinctly define concepts within an analysis for a meaningful application. Mentoring in nursing practice has been thought of as a beneficial way of increasing nursing knowledge for several decades (Stewart Krueger, 1996, pg. 311). However, the concept of mentoring had not been defined or analyzed, which made researching its effectiveness useless. This concept analysis of mentoring in nursing practice shows that mentoring can be mutually beneficial for a mentor, protégé, and nursing practice. However, further research on this concept is necessary to determine the broader application to nursing as a scientific discipline. Method of Analysis In the concept analysis of mentoring, Stewart and Krueger used the evolutionary method by Rodgers (Stewart Krueger, 1996, pg. 312). This method involves multiple steps of analysis that are often occurring concurrently rather than completing a step after one is completed. • 25. Saving Animal Shelters In America Introduction Murdered animals are the result of animals shelters neglecting to take care of them. They are left with untreated diseases, and severe abandonment. No home and no one to take care of them; this is what it s like for these animals everyday, and it s because of traditional kill shelters. A recent study conducted that there are 70 million stray cats and dogs live in the United States. There are 13,600 estimated animal shelters nationwide. Only 7.6 million companion animals enter animal shelters every year. It s the lack of animal shelters letting animals in, or killing them instead, that has cause so many to die. • 26. Daffodils By Wordsworth INTRODUCTION: The poem was written in the year 1802. It was first published in Poems in Two Volumes, in 1807. The very starting line of the poem I wandered lonely as a cloud informs the poet s profound sentiments of being left alone. It was actually the death of his brother John that led him to loneliness . We should remind the readers that this poem was not a result of imagination. Dorothy, Wordsworth s sister provides us an explanation of the occasion which inspired Wordsworth to produce this masterpiece: When we were in the woods beyond Gowbarrow Park, we saw a few daffodils close to waterside. Thus the poem is a result of actual visualization rather than imagery . In English literature, Wordsworth and his friend, Samuel Taylor ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This presents an idea of seclusion. The idea of being alone is contradicted by the phrase crowd (line 3). This is actually the setting of the poem . As human form Wordsworth prefers seclusion but the crowd of daffodils bewilders his senses. The feeling of ecstasy suddenly makes a dive. This poem, obviously inspired by Wordsworth s stomping grounds, is well loved because of its simple yet beautiful rhythms and rhymes, and its rather sentimental topic. The poem consists of four six line stanzas, each of which follow an ababcc rhyme scheme and are written in iambic tetrameter, giving the poem a subtle back and forth motion that recalls swaying daffodils. By comparing himself to a cloud in the first line of the poem, the speaker signifies his close identification with the nature that surrounds him. He also demonstrates this connection by personifying the daffodils several times, even calling them a crowd as if they are a group of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Pigmentation in humans is attributed to the number type and cellular distribution of melanosomes. Advertisers lean heavily on propaganda to sell products, whether the products are a brand of toothpaste, a candidate for office, or a particular political viewpoint. (The Longman Writer McClintock s Essay Pg. 232). There are seven main types of propaganda, Name Calling, Glittering Generalities, Transfer, Testimonial, Plain Folks, Card Stacking, and Bandwagon. Since its first use, most people when they hear propaganda, think only about political ads but that is not all that propaganda is used for. Although propaganda may seem relevant only in the political arena, the concept can be applied fruitfully to the way products and ideas are sold in advertising. Gender Issues in Washington Irving s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow At first glance, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving seems to be an innocent tale about a superstitious New England town threatened by a strange new comer, Icabod Crane. However, this descriptive narrative is more than just a simple tale because it addresses several gender issues that deserve attention. The pervasiveness of female influence in Sleepy Hollow and the conflict between male and female storytelling in this Dutch community are two pertinent gender issues that complicate Irving s work and ultimately enable the women of Sleepy Hollow to control the men and maintain order. Irving s main character, Icabod Crane, causes a stir and disrupts ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Rather, we are left with a sense of relief at Crane s removal from Sleepy Hollow. Thus the tale presents a stark contrast to Rip Van Winkle. In that story, women attempt and fail to confront men openly; in Sleepy Hollow, female behavior is much more subversive and effective. Female behavior in Sleepy Hollow is a result of its feminine setting. Irving s tale preserves the maintenance of the feminine and the landscape is described as having maternal characteristics. For example, Sleepy Hollow lies in the bosom of a cove lining the Hudson (Irving 948), and the valley is embosomed in the great state of New York (Irving 950). Clearly the repose and security of Sleepy Hollow rest in the maternal landscape an assumption so pervasive that even our male narrator attests to it. For as he observes, the act of naming falls to women in this Dutch village. For example, The good house wives of the adjacent country, from the inveterate propensity of their husbands to linger about the village tavern on market days, have named the nearby rural port Tarry Town (Irving 948). The name and power of naming thus operates as a gently sarcastic means of reproaching unruly husbands and of preserving female dominance over the Hollow. At that time, the security scanners already in place in most airports included baggage x rays, metal detectors, and chemical residue detectors, which help security staff search out illegal items that a passenger might have (DiLascio). After the terrorist attacks the Transportation Security Administration has introduced new and advanced technology, called Backscatter technology, to airports. Before the Backscatter, commonly called a full body scanner, was introduced into the equation the metal detector was the main instrument in finding illegal objects. However, this tool was only useful in finding metal objects. The Backscatter technology has made the metal detector obsolete because it finds any illegal object or substance that may be concealed under clothes. One of the most effective additions to airport security in the United States following the attacks of September 11, 2001, is the full body scanner. Whereas metal detectors are only useful for locating guns, knives, and metallic weapons, full body scanners look beneath the clothes, locating weapons and substances that are heavily concealed and not visible under a metal detector (Auerbach). Everyone agrees that Americans have to improve academic achievement in schools today; however, it is hard to do so with a barrage of athletic activities. Students are focusing more on sports then academics, and this diversion seems to be costly. In order to fix this, high school athletes should be required to maintain a 2.3 grade point average in order to participate in sports because the primary mission of any serious academic institution must be to develop the young person s intellectual and cognitive skills and help one get recruited; also, there is a very low chance of athletes continuing their careers at the college or professional level. Keats then goes on to state that the melodies unheard/ Are sweeter; therefore, ye soft pipes, play on (11 12).
