Socialisation Theory In Health And Social Care
Discuss how socialisation theory and role theory apply to relationships between patients and health
workers, and discuss the impact of the family and other support networks on the role of the
professional carer. Socialisation theory is the process by which people from infancy acquire the life
skills needed to be a functioning member of their society. Although genetics may play a part in
persons personality traits, as humans we are not born with all the knowledge we need to function in
society, we learn through nature and nurture. Through nurture we are cared for and protected from
birth, the care we are given provides us with the tools which will teach us about social norms and
morals e.g. social and family rules, what is acceptable or unacceptable ... Show more content on

There is a large amount of stigma attached to schizophrenia, possibly due a lack of understanding of
the illness causing unrealistic negative views towards sufferers. Symptoms will often be disturbing to
both a sufferer and family members. Often sufferers will not understand they are mentally ill and will
be resistant to treatment, in many cases this can result in carers calling the police as a last resort
because they cannot persuade a sufferer to attend hospital. this usually results in hospitalisation and is
where a patient will first be diagnosed. However if police officers are not trained to deal with mental
health sufferers, police attendance can have a negative impact resulting in criminal charges being

Limited Liability Companies ( Llc )
Limited liability companies (LLC) in my opinion would be the best way to go to start up a business.
With the ability of choosing which regime of taxation the business will identify with, protection from
liability for the debts accrued by the business, no double taxation on business and member, and having
the business counted as a separate entity, LLCs enjoy many of the benefits that corporations do, while
being counted as a default partnership where new LLC laws do not cover an issue. Opening a
restaurant as an LLC is ideal because of the lesser amount of paperwork that has to be done, and the
ability to have numerous members, permitting LLCs to exercise more efficiency which saves time
advertisement startup capital per member. While LLCs ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Firstly, sensibly, the name must be unique. No LLC may use an existing name to identify as, to
prevent tax and brand confusion. Secondly, the business must identify clearly as an LLC somewhere
in its brand name. Last, one cannot include a restricted or prohibited word in the name of the
company, such as anything that can identify as a federal or state institution or infers that professionals
are part of the company where there are no such beings. As long as the business follows these three
rules, the business name will be automatically filed with the state, easing the creation of the business
by limiting the amount of paperwork to non duplication. The SBA goes on to state that one must file
articles of organization, which is a simple document that legitimizes your LLC and includes
information like your business name, address, and the names of its members. Following this, it is
prudent to create a business hierarchy, so that everyone involved in the business knows what they
should be doing, and how much of the operation is their responsibility. One should then file the
appropriate documents with the correct federal, state, or local offices, in order to receive a license to
operate. Some states require that new business announce their presence in local newspapers, but either
way, one should hire appropriate staff for the type of business one is beginning. The advantages of
forming an LLC, as stated before, allow members to enjoy tax and liability protection.

The First Phase Of The Chinese Economic Reform Was...
The first phase of the Chinese economic reform was characterized by an emergence of rural initiatives
and new modes of corporations such as TVEs. The central authority allowed vague ownership and,
therefore, permitted the existence of transitional institutions that retained the pre reform structures yet
functioned to serve the contemporary users. In the industrial sector, however, at the beginning of the
first phase, state owned enterprises dominated the economic output when private foreign invested
firms did not appear. Two decades after, SOEs only comprised of about one third of the total output
while collective enterprises and private firms occupied one third each. This drastic drop of the power
of SOEs was the result of both the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, the development of TVEs and the entries of private enterprises and foreign joint ventures
became the chief driving force in the early reform period. These were the brand new institutions,
unlike state owned enterprises. The deteriorating performance and market share of SOEs attracted the
attention of Qian and Lin. In the wave of growing business of various types of enterprises, the large
scaled SOEs could not sustain their profits and constantly need governmental subsidies, a
phenomenon in opposition to the economic trend in the reform era. Many SOEs had to offer their
employees insurances, training, education and health care, deepening the financial burden. Such an
anti development scene would make Lin and Qian oppose the ideas of Rawski and Jefferson. Qian
observes that large scaled state owned enterprises, even though experienced managerial reforms and
ownership reconfiguration, continued to suffer from declining performance, i.e. profitability. The new
corporate organization consisting shareholders, board of directors and supervisory board clashed with
the role of the party committees. In this case, Qian pointed out that the key reason for this failure was
the party s control over the appointment of senior executives of SOEs. The executives politicized
standing overshadowed their role in enhancing the corporate performances. The secretive selection

Rhetorical Analysis Of Ford s Son Coming Home
Rhetorical Analysis of Ford s Son Coming Home Commercial Ford s Son Coming Home commercial
depicts a marine returning home from war. As he arrives at the airport to a little boy s salute (Mildmay,
2005 Ford Mustang Commercial, 2006, 0:00 0:21), his family arrives to pick him up without the
marine s father. The commercial follows them on their ride home in the mother s Ford sedan through
the small hometown city with yellow ribbons tied to poles, onto the tree lined streets of a traditional
American neighborhood and arriving at a home to the American Flag on porches (1:05 1:21). Family

Ford, with the exception of the vehicles, simply used their logo at the end to equate this strength,
loyalty, and pride to their brand.

Ford uses the placement of the three different vehicles to show this family s loyalty to the Ford brand.
First, the mother s four door sedan: a stereotypical mom s vehicle. As Phil Patton quotes George
Butcher in his New York Times article The perk here is size. [ ]Space is the ultimate luxury,[ ] said
George Bucher, the Five Hundred s designer. , making the Five Hundred appeal to the family that
spends a lot of time traveling in the car. (2004) Second, the 1969 Mustang Cobra: a stereotypical man

Ford also shows the 2005 Mustang: the more modern, younger man s hot rod that was getting ready to
appear on showroom floors. This shows their credibility on many levels of the car buyer s scale,
proving there is a vehicle for everyone. Ford also displays their credibility by showing safety and
reliance. The mother lets the younger son drive them home from the airport in her Ford Five Hundred

Comparing Mccandless And Ralph Waldo Emerson
Influenced by the era of romanticism, transcendentalism teaches that divinity can be found throughout
nature and humanity. The focus is on self; self reliance; and independence. Romantic authors, such as
Ralph Waldo Emerson, were strong influencers for these beliefs. Emerson once said, A man in debt is
so far a slave. The wants of man are an insatiable desire. People are practically enslaved to debt as if
they let it lead their lives, which is an extremely common lifestyle in today s society. Ralph Waldo
Emerson uses Nature and Self Reliance to give an insight on transcendental beliefs, while Jon
Krakauer uses Into the Wild to portray Chris McCandless as a contemporary hero through those
beliefs. Ralph Waldo Emerson uses Self Reliance

Outsourcing Practices of Adidas, Converse, Nike, and Reebok
Outsourcing Practices of Adidas, Converse, Nike and Reebok Introduction Apparel and shoe
manufacturers continued to offload the more costly yet easily replicated part so their business models
to concentrate on brand building, marketing, sales and attaining greater distribution channels globally.
These are the pressures all apparel and shoe manufacturers face, and it is particularly challenging in
the athletic show industry (Kynge, 2009). Adidas, Converse, Nike and Reebok have been outsourcing
production of their shoes for in some cases nearly three decades. Nike was one of the leaders in this
strategy, seeing to create a more efficient supply chain and also drop the labor and union costs of
manufacturing in the U.S. (Boje, Khan, 2009). Adidas, Converse and Reebok have all followed Nike s
lead, with Adidas benefitting from the fall out generated when investigate reports showed Nike using
child labor throughout Pakistan and Vietnam (Boje, Khan, 2009). All four of these companies share a
common prioritization of manufacturing operations, yet none of them with the exception of Nike has a
comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in place to ensure ethical compliance
to global standards of outsourcing in their industry (Nike Investor Relations, 2012). The intent of this
analysis is to compare and contrast the four companies mentioned and their outsourcing practices.
Their reasons for choosing to outsource are very much the same; the industry is shrinking

Designing Projects for the Public
Thousands people all over the world share their ideas to create future projects and that project is in art
and animation. It is really wise to start from the very beginning. The process of creating or even
preparing for a big project takes time. In order to make a character or idea come to life one needs the
right tools. This is where the skills in art come in, basically the fun part. Everyone would like to see
their ideas come to life and sharing it with the public. Soon this will lead any person to create a project
that involves gaming and animated television shows. Before starting a project there are a few things a
person may need. A character may be the important thing but there are other factors that are far more
important. What would the character do or what environment would it be placed in? The Developer
also has to think about the storyboard which involves writing. Every project needs to start with a story
(How a Game pg.1). A person can make up their own story and can also receive help from anyone
assisting in the project. Everyone may be inspired by something they have seen which gives them
many ideas for a good story. it is important for the team to come up with a decision so they can know
what fits. Once it is decided the team will start to work on the storyboard (How a Game pg.2).

Sargent Andrew Ford
Sargent Andrew Ford was relieved. He was finally ending seven months of deployment in Afghanistan
and was getting ready to see his wife. Mentally tired and physically exhausted, his entire goal was to
reconnect with his life and enjoy being with his family after months apart. Unlike most soldiers
returning from tour, he had a surprise that went beyond his homecoming. When he saw his wife for
the first time after seven months, he was going to tell her about his jackpot win.
Ford s story is an unlikely one. He started playing an online casino game that gave him 80 free spins.
The free spins helped to wile away the time as he waited to return. Before long, he realized that his

Soon, it would be Andrew s birthday, and the perfect gift needed to be found.
As Lianne left her house, she did not suspect the surprise that was in store for her. She grabbed her
purse and car keys to make her way to the store. At home, Andrew slipped quietly into the house to
prepare for the surprise. Friends and family members gradually filled the house as they waited for

CHAPTER 1
BANK CAPITAL MANAGEMENT CAPITAL ADEQUACY FRAMEWORK
INTRODUCTION
Bank capital is often defined in tiers or categories that include shareholders equity, retained earnings,
reserves, hybrid capital instruments, and subordinated term debt. Capital ratios are commonly
measured as a percent of bank assets or risk weighted bank assets.
Bank capital serves as an important cushion against unexpected losses. It creates a strong ... Show

Banks list their capital adequacy ratios in their financial reports. The CAR is important to shareholders
because it is an important measure of the financial soundness of a bank.
Two types of capital are measured with the CAR. The first, tier 1 capital, can absorb a reasonable
amount of loss without forcing the bank to cease its trading. The second type, tier 2 capital, can
sustain loss in the event of liquidation. Tier 2 capital provides less protection to its depositors.
Because of the nature of risk under which banks operate, capital regulations require banks to maintain
a minimum level of equity per loans and other assets. This required minimum is designed for
protection, allowing banks to sustain unanticipated losses. The minimum is also designed to offer
depositors confidence in the security of their deposits given the asymmetric information.
An individual depositor cannot know if a bank has taken risks beyond what it can absorb.
Thus, depositors receive a level of assurance from shareholders equity, along with regulations, audits
and credit ratings.
The amount of equity a bank receives from shareholders sets the limit on the value of deposits it can
attract. This also limits the extent to which the bank can lend money. If a bank sustains large losses
through credit or trading, eroding the bank s net worth, this causes a decreased fund base through
which a bank can offer loans.
The CAR provides

The Ocean s Unique Creatures
The Ocean s Unique Creatures
The ocean is full of many unique creatures. From the water s surface to the sea floor, there is a
plethora of organisms we have yet to even discovered; however, even the organisms we do have data
on are completely different from anything that we have previously seen on land. This gives cause to
think they must have unique habits and patterns completely separate from all that we must know. (
Kelp 1)
Starting the closest to the surface, giant kelp is a photosynthetic organism in the photic zone. Giant

The kelp must have a strong place to anchor itself so it does not get ripped out. Giant Kelp can
reproduce in two ways, sexually and asexually. It is capable of producing sperm and egg cells as well
as being able to grow off of broken fragments (Harvey). Some interesting facts about kelp is that it can
grow up to two feet a day under ideal conditions and that it can be used in a variety of products from
cosmetics to cereals (Monterey). Giant kelp is a very useful organism under the ocean that is
constantly used for many different products making this plant unique in many ways. (Roper) Deep
into the depths of the ocean is the giant squid. It has a radial body with two large eyes, eight arms, two
feeding tentacles and one funnel (Roper). They lurk near the coastlines in the Atlantic ocean and live
about 300 to 1000 meters deep into the bathyal zone (Roper). Giant squids can only live where there is
salt water, and often times thrives when exposed to colder waters as it has few predators that live in
colder environment. Often times it feeds on larger fish and other, smaller squids. When reproducing,
male giant squids contain a sperm packet which is expelled from the penis which is up to seven feet
long. When the male finds the female, he directly injects the sperm packet into her arm (Roper). The

Firing Back At Gun Control Essay
Jacob Wilson

3 September 2014
Firing Back At Gun Control In America there are about 200,000 women that use guns every year to
protect themselves against sexual crime (Snyder). Gun control is where the government puts laws on
someones ownership of a firearm. Gun control is a tricky topic and has the nation somewhat split both
ways on it. 62% think that there is little concern for firearm restriction, while 33% say there is a need
to worry about it, and the other 5% are indifferent (Ekins). There are two main groups that are feuding
on this topic. Group one is the gun activist, leading the pack for them is the National Rifle
Association. This group is for guns and limited laws and regulations on them. Their opposition is the
President, liberals and many left wing politicians. This group wants to have strict gun laws and allow
nobody to own a gun. Although some people believe guns are wrong they need to become educated in
the importance of guns: they can provide a way of life, they are a means of protection, and Americans
have a constitutional right to bear arms.
For some people owning and using a gun is a way of life. They are hunters, trap shooters, and
businessmen. Hunters are able to use a firearm as a means of providing food for their family and the
hungry of the community. There are organizations such as one in North Carolina that receive legally
harvested deer from hunters to feed families in need ( Hunting Matters ). Meat from hunting is a safe,

Disadvantages Of Fair Trade
Having the privilege to live in a developed country like America has blessed us with an abundance of
prospers opportunities, but have we let these opportunities outweigh the Earths health? This question
may not be one that can be answered till future time. Accordingly, what we can discuss is how our
purchases have a ripple effect on the natural environment and undeveloped cultures in which many
times they derived from or are at. With concepts like fair trade and using reusable and sustainable
products to help make a healthier and a more just world.
Being a conscious consumer currently is no small task, with multiple choices of mega stores filled
with products that our most time often than not filled with products that are cheaply produced.
Moreover, the big company s give little regard to the producer. This is where the concept of fair trade
comes from. In a piece of Harvard s Journal of Economic Perspectives states that Fair Trade is a
labeling initiative aimed at improving the lives of the poor in developing countries by offering better
terms to producers and helping them to organize. (Dragusanu, Giovannucci, Nunn, 2014) The article
continues to say that ...Fair Trade certified coffee exports were 1.8 percent of global coffee exports in
2009... (Dragusanu, Giovannucci, Nunn, 2014) A reason why this percent maybe so small could be
due to peoples who make the argument that Fair Trade is not economically sustainable. This meaning
that if these producers are underneath the

SFASU, luckily has a well organized and well informed website that offers all of its students important
tips and procedures on what to do in case of an emergency. Though only a few handful of students

like this should be much more easily accessible. Overall the SFASU campus safety policies and
website are viable for the student on campus and off campus; however, it could be more publicized,
that way all students know what to do and what not to do in the case of an emergency. Colleges and
universities could easily do this by implementing mandatory safety and training courses to ensure the
safety of their students while they are attending their school. This is extremely important so that way
students feel safe and can casually recommend SFASU as a safe and educated school for to anyone

The Decrease of the Nuclear Family
Decrease in the amount of nuclear families
There are several possible reasons for the decrease in the number of nuclear families, particularly in
the past forty years. This includes rising cohabitation, higher divorce rates, secularisation, rising same
sex relationships, more career seekers and the rise in feminism.
Firstly, a nuclear family is a family consisting of a man and woman (usually married) in a sexual
relationship with one or more children. One reason for this type of family becoming less common is
due to the rising number of divorces. Getting divorced has become much easier than in the past. 40%
of all marriages end in divorce. There is much less stigma attached to divorce in modern society so
people are less afraid to do it, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Rules such as no sex before marriage direct people onto the pathway of family and would increase the
number of nuclear families. Secularisation however means people are not following rules such as
these and therefore leading to a decrease in the number of nuclear families as more people did follow
these rules in the past.
Fourthly, over the last 40 years more same sex relationships are occurring due to change in legislation
and reduce in stigma. Same sex relationships in the past were highly frowned upon and even illegal.
Linking back to secularisation, stigma has decreased on the topic of homosexuality as most religions
state same sex relationships are not allowed. So in the past more people agreed with and followed
these rules however now people are much more accepting and open about same sex relationships. The
civil partnership act of 2004 meant that gay couples could have the same rights as married couples.
This lead to a large rise in the amount of same sex relationships and as this was increasing the amount
of nuclear families started decreasing as a nuclear family cannot consist of two people of the same
sex.
Fifthly, the rise in career seeking people has risen. People who are dedicated to their work often do not
have time to sustain a relationship and settle down and have a family. This means there are less first
marriages today as the facts show. In England and wales 143,000 first marriages occurred in 2007.
This is significantly

Essay On Vietnam Protest And Protest
The Power of the People Anarchic, civil, radical, militant, and rebellions people is what police officers
have to face on a regular basis. Both Vietnam protest and protest today are rebelling against the
government. During the Vietnam War, citizens were protesting against the U.S government to stop the
war and send American soldiers back home. Today people still manage to go out into the streets to
protest for the government to stop discriminating certain groups like Muslims and immigrants. Is
protesting a productive, patriotic act or is protesting a counter productive, productive subversive act?
Even though people think that protesting is a counterproductive, subversive act, protesting is a
productive, patriotic act and people should be able to do it.
Protest have been used throughout our nation s history in order to reform or implement the ideas that
seem just to our nation s people. The history of protest in America would mainly be because of the
government, either the government would be at war or it would be legalizing and denying laws people
just don t like. Nowadays there are laws that have established Americans right to protest. As indicated
by the article, Amending the Protest Law On January the Legislative and Constitutional Affairs

Soccer Is A Marvelous Sport
Soccer is a marvelous sport. It is a sport that virtually all know about, no matter where they live. A
sport that began long ago and has continued on for decades. Even if it is less popular in some
countries, it still has one of the largest fan bases in the world. As Kress Estime says in her report on
soccer, Soccer is the most widely practiced sport in the world. It is played in over 200 countries and
has over 3.5 billion fans around the globe (Estime). Soccer has held this title for a long time and has
yet to lose it. Perhaps there is a reason that soccer has gained the most sizeable fanbase in the world?
The difficult objective is finding out what that exact reason is and why it has happened. Could it be
stereotypical? Could it be the drama that is included in it? Could it be emotion striking the people
down causing them fall victim to the enjoyment that soccer offers? Could it be the inspiration from
those who have played the sport before them? There is most certainly more than one answer to these
questions. The history of soccer also offers a possible solution to this mystery. Cliff Potter briefly
explains soccer s history in his article for the Bleacher Report. He states, However, the first
indications of an early formal form of football date back 3,000 years to Ancient China. A game played
with a ball of animal skins stuffed with hair or feathers was kicked between poles some 10 metres
high and was most likely used for military training. By 50 A.D., the game

The Seizure Of Nasser s Nationalization Of The Suez Canal
Nasser intended to use the revenue from the waterway to fund the Aswan Dam project, but it would
have taken Egypt 367 years to pay for the Dam from tolls alone. The Canal only brought in a profit of
$52 million and not the $100 million profit that Nasser was claiming.
To the United States, the nationalization of the Canal was a convenient excuse for what was to come.
To Britain and France, who felt that they owned the historical rights to the Suez Canal Company, the
seizure of the canal meant that they would lose their largest colonial vestige in the region. Because
there were no legal route for Britain and France to oppose Nasser s nationalization, the Egyptian
President could continue to manage the canal. British Prime Minister Anthony Eden was prepared to

Discuss The Role Of Comedy In Shakespeare And Lyly
In order to reach understanding of the historical role of comedy in England, of its nature and the
overall literary value, it is necessary to study the social circumstances of its development, with a
survey of chief authors and works. After the times of Moralities, Christian moral allegories in dramatic
form, Renaissance brought development of the so called learned comedy under classical influence,
with a decisive role in the formation of comedy proper. The age of Tudors and early Stuarts was that
of transition from feudal order to commercial capitalism. The absolute monarchy was a reflection and
instrument of this transition, a process begun as early as the 14th century. The society of Shakespeare
s times (cca.1580 1625) was a shifting ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Alexander s friend Hephaestion tries to dissuade him from his infatuation, but he persists until it
becomes clear that Campaspe and Appeles are true lovers and that he has no chance. Beside this main
plot, melodramatic and sensational, there is a subplot of little dramatic interest, Alexander s
convocation of Greek philosophers, whom he has called together to try their knowledge. The chief
attraction of these scenes for Lyly s audience must have been to see the greatest figures of Greek
philosophy, Plato and Aristotle among them, displaying their knowledge. But the display, made out of
the scraps of Lyly s classical learning, is rather shallow and almost boring. Apart from these stands a
more vivid portrait of Diogenes, who is depicted, according to an existing hostile tradition, as an
embittered misanthrope, full of hate and spite. However, his hatred of the world remains
psychologically unexplained and therefore unconvincing. All these persons have servants, who make a
group apart, meeting frequently without their masters to crack jokes at their expense or mock at one
another, or carry out little intrigues on their masters behalf or against them. Such a group will be
present in all of Lyly s comedies: the servants are thus given a role of fools, and more rarely that of
plot makers, in the Plautian

Forensic Radiology
Radiology, a medical specialty that uses imaging to diagnose or treat disease within the body, tends to
play a significant role in Forensic Medicine and is often used to assist in medicolegal matters.1
Radiologic examinations are performed in order to obtain information needed to aid in a criminal or
civil investigation. When diagnostic imaging is used in a court of law, it is known as forensic
radiography.2 Forensic radiography was first used in 1896 in Montreal, Canada. A man named Tolson
Cunning was shot and radiography was used to locate the bullet and ultimately help convict George
Holder for attempted murder .2 Since this time, radiological techniques have developed tremendously
becoming more elaborate. Conventional radiography was the ... Show more content on

When caring for a child, abuse is a concern for all physicians including the radiologist.5 If a non
accidental injury is suspected, a complete radiographic skeletal examination is required. This
examination should include both the axial and appendicular skeleton.1 The symptoms and signs of
abuse range from neglect and/or deprivation, through sexual abuse to the physically battered child or
non accidental head injury (NAHI) also called shaken baby syndrome (SBS) .5 Shaken baby
syndrome is a common form of child abuse which often occurs when an adult violently shakes an
infant or child.2 Skeletal injuries are often the strongest radiological indicators of abuse .5 However, it
can be difficult to diagnose child abuse because many children and infants do not exhibit outward
signs of abuse. Some clinical clues include presence of bruises and rapid unexplained increase in the
head circumference of an infant showing nonspecific symptoms.5 Shaken baby syndrome typically
exhibits symptoms of retinal hemorrhage, subdural hemorrhage, and/or hematoma. CT and MR
imaging often are used along with radiography to study suspected cases of shaken baby syndrome .2 If
radiographic images provide evidence of fractures, CT and MR imaging may be used for the detection

Indian Removal Act Research Paper
The Indian Removal act is an act that allows the president of the United States to remove Indians from
their land because the United States think that it is their land . It consists of appraisals and money
being paid forward for the land, like what is now known as eminent domain. However, not everyone
seemed to be happy with this act, as some tribes, particularly the Cherokee tribe, resisted this act. In
the Indian Removal Packet , the Cherokee Indians wrote an essay explaining why they should not be
required to move, in regards to the laws that they were following and also because they would be
going into unknown territory. They believed that they have the right to remain in the land that they
were in at the time and that taking their land away from them is considered robbery of their land. The
Cherokee Tribe ends with quoting the golden rule, most likely as in asking how the United States
would feel if the roles of this act was reversed on them. This file then goes on to the opinion of how
Andrew Jackson felt regarding this act. For him, he believed that this act was a perfect way for the
United States to preserve their own country and to dodge any rejections from ... Show more content on

The Position Of Proventus Capital Partners
The position of Proventus Capital Partners (PCP) as a bondholder of Corral Petroleum AB bond was
difficult. Even though PCP s holding of Preem notes was only about 1% of the total par amount, but
they had invested approximately $7million in dollar and euro denominated bonds at around 60% of
par. PCP felt there was considerable upside in this position. However, PCP had been aware of the risks
when acquiring the bonds in the weak operating performance of the oil refining such as the low oil
price, excess capacity and the high leverage of Preem compare to many firms in the industry. PCP was
considered the long performance of the firm in the future because Preem was more profitable than
many of its peers. The economic turmoil that affected oil price was created conflict of interest between
bondholders and syndicated banks as creditors. For instance, Corral was unable to make coupon
payment because Preem was now disallowed from transferring profit to Corral. If each party insists on
taking their own advantage to save their assets and avoid loss, there was one party loss in their
investment in Corral and Preem. Alternatively, all parties included the owner might draw an
agreement that provides win win solution to all parties. Several possible scenarios that PCP had to
consider were: a. Complete or partial sale of assets. The sale of some Preem s assets might generate
immediate cash. But, the uniqueness of business makes uncertainty in pricing and buyer in the
economic downturn.

The Broken Cross;
Bad Atonement Theology and Broken Justice Systems
Introduction As we move through Holy Week, the journey of Lent leads Christians to not simply
commemorate Jesus suffering on the cross, but engage the paschal event on every level of our
experiences. For me, this included questioning the impact of the execution which stands so central to
Christianity. In her book The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness,
Michelle Alexander describes how the mass incarceration of black Americans has been steadily
undermining any progress made by the civil rights movement. She argues that even though Jim Crow
laws are no longer written, the plethora of young people of color arrested remain marginalized by a
broken justice system. The United States represents about 4.4% of the world s population, it houses
around 22 % of the world s prisoners, an overwhelming majority of whom are young, poor, and black.
Recently, Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam signed a bill to allow the use of the electric chair in
executions when the drugs for lethal injections are not available. How has this frighteningly
oppressive system become normative justice for America? Does focusing on the crucifixion as the
foundation of Christian transition per dispose modern Christians to be unconcerned with the death
penalty as a fixture of our justice system? In this essay, I will explore the impact of a deformed
atonement theology on modern Christian s interactions with our

The Confederate Flag Is A Flag Of Hate
Is the Confederate flag really a flag of hate? Contrary to popular belief, the Confederate flag does not
stand for racism, it stands for freedom. It stands for the men who lost their lives fighting for a doomed
country, white and black. It stands for not letting others push you around and control you. I stands for
the bad side in the Civil War. It is the proof that despite the fact that we boast about being stubborn,
we are ignorant to the fact that all we do is follow the crowd. It represents a piece of history incredibly
rich, yet so full of sorrow, that we are trying to erase. But people do not see this, they only see hate,
and they are too oblivious to truly understand what this symbol of liberty stands for. This is why the ...

In fact, the Emancipation Proclamation states that only the slaves in the southern states were free,
about 25% of the original slave population was still legally allowed to be enslaved. Lincoln himself
admitted I would do it if I were not afraid that half the officers would fling down their arms and three
more states would rise. Meaning that he feared he would lose half his army (that all were anti slavery )
to the South, and three more states would rebel. This proves that he was more worried about losing the
war (and the base of the Union economy), than slavery continuing. Also, there was a higher mortality
rate for free slaves living in the north, this is why; factory work was one of the only jobs available to
immigrants and former slaves. The conditions were horrendous, and most of them died doing a job

Why Is Geography Important In The Crucible
Geography is a very important part of every film and book in every way. Geography is where a story
takes place and how things work out. When characters live in a specific place they will gain accents,

The Importance Of Firing Firearms
The Second Amendment gives American citizens the right to keep and bear arms. Many people own
firearms, whether it is a handgun, rifle, or shotgun, but not everyone knows how they function. The
process is a bit more complex than to pull a trigger, some magic happens, and the projectile
accelerates out of the barrel of the firearm. Every person who owns a firearm should be educated on
the physics of how a firearm functions. Once you are confident with your shot on a target, pull the
trigger. The specific mechanics from the trigger to the hammer or firing pin are different because it
depends on the type of firearm and the company the manufactures it. However, pulling the trigger will
produce the same end result for all firearms. The trigger will release the hammer or firing pin, which

The cartridge is the ammunition that is placed into the chamber of the firearm. Each firearm is
designed to fire a certain caliber cartridge. Each caliber ensures a tight fit in the chamber of its
assigned firearm, which will not allow any gases to escape once fired. Firing the wrong caliber
cartridge could result in a gun jam, or you could destroy the firearm. Bullet cartridges are a
combination of a projectile (bullet), a propellant (gunpowder), and a primer (explosive cap), all
contained in a metal casing. The spark ignites the gunpowder. Most people believe that it is the
explosion that propels the projectile; however, this theory is false. When the powder ignites, it releases
gases that expand and push on the projectile. Sir Isaac Newton s third law of motion, which implies
that for every action, there is an equal but opposite reaction. As the expanding gases exert force on the
projectile, it is forced into the barrel of the firearm. The recoil of the firearm is the equal but opposite
force created by the gases forcing the projectile to accelerate out the

The Conception Of Lean Production Essay
1.1 Lean
The conception of lean can be traced back to late 1980s, which was used to talk about Toyota
production system. Through using lean management, Henry Ford create a high production and low
stock, and fulfilled manufacture in a short period of time in the late 1910s (Arnheiter Maleyeff, 2005).
The original principle of lean production is to identify and eliminate muda . The term of muda is a
Japanese word, which means waste. Then such principle was regarded as lean. The theory of lean is
considered that after eliminating waste, there is an improvement in quality and reduction of time and
cost (Gershon Rajashekharaiah, 2011). After that, lean is used to manufacturing, and adding value and
fulfilling the satisfaction of customers with less waste become the core idea of lean. According to
Ferguson (2006), a successful implement of lean is to lead the whole organization to enhance the
value stream.
There are several tools for lean manufacturing, such as 5S, Just In Time (JIT), Kaizen, total productive
maintenance (TPM) and value stream mapping (leanproduction).
 5S: Sort (to remove the things which are unnecessary needed), Set in order (to arrange the things
which are remained), Shine (clean and check the work space), Standardize (establish metric for the
things above) and Sustain (employ the metric regularly). Through using 5S, the waste can be reduced
in the workplace where is poorly organized (leanproduction).
 JIT: It is used to make the products fulfil the

The skin of amphibians is tremendously thin, as a result of this frogs are extremely sensitive to any

Unlike reptiles or birds, which have hard shelled eggs, amphibians have jelly like, unshelled eggs that
cannot survive desiccation. Amphibians need moist climates to reproduce, and this makes them

Tadpoles are very slow growing creatures and cannot begin breeding themselves until four years later.
This restrictive breeding pattern makes it difficult for frogs to reproduce efficiently with many
disturbances being fire, flood water, droughts and disease frequently interfering.
Frogs breeding phenology is being directly affected by enhanced climate change as they are highly
susceptible to rising temperatures. Most species of frogs remain inactive during the winter months and
unbearable summers. Although once the temperatures increase the species surface from hibernation
and immediately search for ponds and rivers to begin breeding. Females only breed once a year, and
the process from a tadpole to a frog can take anywhere between 20 days and 2 years depending on the
species of the frog and the surrounding conditions. If the conditions are not right, metamorphosis can
be held back until the conditions are correct. However if these conditions are never improved a
tadpole can be stopped from developing any further. With the effects from enhanced global warming,
the conditions occurring are becoming less and less to the suitable frogs, and there are less good
breeding season occurring every year as a result of the transforming climate. As a result of this the
numbers of frogs in our ecosystems are rapidly decreasing.

Argument On Poverty
The topic of poverty is America has been both a huge focus and a sore subject for many. There are
differing opinions on how to handle our growing population of people below the poverty line, with
some saying the solution is the good old pull yourself up by your bootstraps rhetoric to others saying
impoverished people have children and refuse to work just to get bigger checks from their states.
There is another argument, on that renders the bootstrap theory obsolete. A person s choices,
education, and circumstances may each, or in combination, explain why they are impoverished. This
alternative view proposes that the context of poverty alone, whether born into it or not, creates a
psychological trap. The argument states that if you are poor, you are always trying to juggle time and
money (Poverty and Inequality, 2014). Financial strain can lead to a mental tightrope. Constantly
having the instability that comes with no steady stream of income, as well as the worries of bills and
how to care for yourself and possibly your family can lead to a never ending cycle of never enough
time and never enough money. Homelessness is also on the rise, and with many states responses being

socioeconomic status is a major social determinant of health with poorer health outcomes for those of

The United States V. Virginia Case Study
When Virginia Military Institute (VMI) was founded in 1839, it was established as a male only
institute. At this time and even up to the mid 1970 s, most colleges and institutes were single sexed
schools. They, at that time, only wanted to teach and build young men to transform the world; not
women. The state arguably stated that women would not be able to hand the level of training involved
in going to VMI (Justia). However, once most other colleges and institutions opened admissions, VMI
still stood their ground as a male only institution. The question they then faced was whether or not
their tradition to be male only was constitutional?
The case of VMI went to the district courts, and was deemed to be a tradition and that this tradition
was accepted. However, the Fourth Circuit rejected the decision. They found the policy in which they
made admission decisions unconstitutional. In response Virginia tried coming up with a women only
institution that would equal up to VMI. They introduced Virginia Women s Institute for Leadership
(VMIL) to the Fourth Circuit. Even though both programs did not require the same level of skill, the

terrorism will be a long lasting effort that could include the use of military force in regions beyond
Afghanistan.
A strong case can be made that Iraq s leader, Saddam Hussein, is so threatening to his people, his ...

policy, it was interpreted by many as a conscious effort to remind the world of the dangers posed by
Saddam and to begin to create a legal and political predicate to justify an eventual American attack
against him. Many overthrow advocates argue that the United States should remove Saddam
regardless of whether Iraq was involved in the September 11 terrorist attacks or not.
Absent compelling evidence of significant Iraqi involvement with the al Qaeda network or the events
of September 11, the likely costs and risks of a commitment of American military forces to a regime
change campaign in Iraq would outweigh the benefits. A U.S. overthrow campaign would entail a
large scale military operation that the United States would probably have to undertake essentially
alone; the increased risk of triggering terrorist attacks against American or allied targets; significant
American casualties given the potential for intense urban combat and Iraqi use of chemical and
biological agents; and the likely need for a long term American military presence in Iraq to avoid
regional destabilization. While these costs and risks are not so high as to rule out a possible overthrow
policy under certain circumstances, they should be sobering to any advocate of sending U.S. troops to
war to change the Iraqi regime. The central assumption behind this argument is that Saddam unlike the
religiously motivated Taliban/al Qaeda network is more interested in

Neural Recording And Processing Of The Neural Signals
Neural Recording and Processing
The most critical element of a Brain Machine Interface (BMI) is the recording and processing of the
neural signal. We use an invasive neural signal recording to achieve higher performance of the BMI
and to obtain better resolution. We will be recording the neural signal on central sulcus located in the
cortex region of the brain. This recording is referred to as Electrocorticography (ECoG). We will be
using subdural grid electrodes (surface electrodes) with 48 contact points spanning across the upper
limb region of the central sulcus. The signal will be picked up by the electrodes and it will be
transferred to the signal processing unit through the encapsulated leads. The leads will be connecting

The signal gets amplified, filtered and then get digitised. The digitised data is fed into the decoder.
Signal Decoding
We intend to design a signal decoder as an ASIC. It will perform the decoding of neural signals and
predict the brain s intention to perform arm movements. Though we use multiple electrodes to record
the neural signal, the number of features that can be extracted from the recorded signal is very less.
The neurons in the brain perform a task by sequential generation of action potentials which are then
transmitted to other neurons through the synapse. These action potentials are referred to as spikes.
The first step in decoding is to extract features from the recorded neural signal. The features we will
be interested are the spikes. The efficient method to detect spikes is threshold crossing. This is a
simple approach where we will setup threshold amplitude and count the number of threshold crossings
across a time bin. Whenever a spike or set of spikes cross the threshold value it is detected and
assigned to a single or a group of neuron. This method does not affect the decoding performance and
has gained acceptance widely. We will adopt the threshold crossing technique to extract features from
the neural signal.
We will identify the spikes detected based on their frequency, timing and location. The information
found is referred to as rate coding, temporal coding and population coding respectively. We will then
classify the spikes based on this

Tech N9ne Research Paper
Tech N9ne and Strange Music
Some classical songs were not meant to be classics, such as Im A Playa but who made this song?
Aaron Yates also known as Tech N9ne was born in Kansas City Missouri, 1971 November 8th. Aaron
grew up listening to blues and rock but it wasn t until a kid and Yates had a rap battle that Aaron found
out he loved to rap. While Tech N9ne was growing up he mainly wore red due to him living in a blood
neighbor hood. Aaron Yates is a very respected singer and very religious. He has made a pretty big
influence on his fans and has even surpassed some tough comings telling us not to do what he did
making himself a role model for listeners and believers.
Tech N9ne found Strange Music due to the record label saying they couldn t have his hardcore style
playing. After this occurred Aaron teamed up with Travis o Guin to start Strange Music. Techs new
album The Storm will come out almost 20 years after his album The Calm Before The Storm
(Zachary). Aaron takes special care of his music which is clearly seen in his album The Storm which
deals with real life events such as Alton Sterling. Sterling, a black man, was fatally ... Show more

When he was young he was a catholic but later on became a muslim due to his mother changing
religion because of a boyfriend. While tech was high on ecstasy he was with his girlfriend and went
into the other room he proceeded to sleep with two other women and then went back to his room. He
was not suppose to tell this story due to him not remembering that night but the 2 girls said it
happened(Callie). Tech is very religious and this can be heard all through out his music including
Show Me A God telling us how his mother is sick and how bad his life is and if there is a god why is
he not helping. Aaron s mother died in the year 2013 due to epilepsy and cancer. Tech spent nearly 10
years dealing with the struggles of his mother and he hopes she has found

  • 2. Socialisation Theory In Health And Social Care Discuss how socialisation theory and role theory apply to relationships between patients and health workers, and discuss the impact of the family and other support networks on the role of the professional carer. Socialisation theory is the process by which people from infancy acquire the life skills needed to be a functioning member of their society. Although genetics may play a part in persons personality traits, as humans we are not born with all the knowledge we need to function in society, we learn through nature and nurture. Through nurture we are cared for and protected from birth, the care we are given provides us with the tools which will teach us about social norms and morals e.g. social and family rules, what is acceptable or unacceptable ... Symptoms will often be disturbing to both a sufferer and family members. Often sufferers will not understand they are mentally ill and will be resistant to treatment, in many cases this can result in carers calling the police as a last resort because they cannot persuade a sufferer to attend hospital. this usually results in hospitalisation and is where a patient will first be diagnosed. However if police officers are not trained to deal with mental health sufferers, police attendance can have a negative impact resulting in criminal charges being brought against a ... • 3. Limited Liability Companies ( Llc ) Limited liability companies (LLC) in my opinion would be the best way to go to start up a business. With the ability of choosing which regime of taxation the business will identify with, protection from liability for the debts accrued by the business, no double taxation on business and member, and having the business counted as a separate entity, LLCs enjoy many of the benefits that corporations do, while being counted as a default partnership where new LLC laws do not cover an issue. Opening a restaurant as an LLC is ideal because of the lesser amount of paperwork that has to be done, and the ability to have numerous members, permitting LLCs to exercise more efficiency which saves time advertisement startup capital per member. As long as the business follows these three rules, the business name will be automatically filed with the state, easing the creation of the business by limiting the amount of paperwork to non duplication. The SBA goes on to state that one must file articles of organization, which is a simple document that legitimizes your LLC and includes information like your business name, address, and the names of its members. Following this, it is prudent to create a business hierarchy, so that everyone involved in the business knows what they should be doing, and how much of the operation is their responsibility. One should then file the appropriate documents with the correct federal, state, or local offices, in order to receive a license to operate. Some states require that new business announce their presence in local newspapers, but either way, one should hire appropriate staff for the type of business one is beginning. The first phase of the Chinese economic reform was characterized by an emergence of rural initiatives and new modes of corporations such as TVEs. The central authority allowed vague ownership and, therefore, permitted the existence of transitional institutions that retained the pre reform structures yet functioned to serve the contemporary users. In the industrial sector, however, at the beginning of the first phase, state owned enterprises dominated the economic output when private foreign invested firms did not appear. However, the development of TVEs and the entries of private enterprises and foreign joint ventures became the chief driving force in the early reform period. These were the brand new institutions, unlike state owned enterprises. The deteriorating performance and market share of SOEs attracted the attention of Qian and Lin. In the wave of growing business of various types of enterprises, the large scaled SOEs could not sustain their profits and constantly need governmental subsidies, a phenomenon in opposition to the economic trend in the reform era. Many SOEs had to offer their employees insurances, training, education and health care, deepening the financial burden. Such an anti development scene would make Lin and Qian oppose the ideas of Rawski and Jefferson. Qian observes that large scaled state owned enterprises, even though experienced managerial reforms and ownership reconfiguration, continued to suffer from declining performance, i.e. profitability. The new corporate organization consisting shareholders, board of directors and supervisory board clashed with the role of the party committees. In this case, Qian pointed out that the key reason for this failure was the party s control over the appointment of senior executives of SOEs. The executives politicized standing overshadowed their role in enhancing the corporate performances. The secretive selection ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The CAR is important to shareholders because it is an important measure of the financial soundness of a bank. Two types of capital are measured with the CAR. The first, tier 1 capital, can absorb a reasonable amount of loss without forcing the bank to cease its trading. The second type, tier 2 capital, can sustain loss in the event of liquidation. Tier 2 capital provides less protection to its depositors. Because of the nature of risk under which banks operate, capital regulations require banks to maintain a minimum level of equity per loans and other assets. This required minimum is designed for protection, allowing banks to sustain unanticipated losses. The minimum is also designed to offer depositors confidence in the security of their deposits given the asymmetric information. An individual depositor cannot know if a bank has taken risks beyond what it can absorb.

Gun control is where the government puts laws on someones ownership of a firearm. Gun control is a tricky topic and has the nation somewhat split both ways on it. 62% think that there is little concern for firearm restriction, while 33% say there is a need to worry about it, and the other 5% are indifferent (Ekins). There are two main groups that are feuding on this topic. Group one is the gun activist, leading the pack for them is the National Rifle Association. This group is for guns and limited laws and regulations on them. Their opposition is the President, liberals and many left wing politicians. This group wants to have strict gun laws and allow nobody to own a gun. The Decrease of the Nuclear Family Decrease in the amount of nuclear families There are several possible reasons for the decrease in the number of nuclear families, particularly in the past forty years. This includes rising cohabitation, higher divorce rates, secularisation, rising same sex relationships, more career seekers and the rise in feminism. Firstly, a nuclear family is a family consisting of a man and woman (usually married) in a sexual relationship with one or more children. One reason for this type of family becoming less common is due to the rising number of divorces. Getting divorced has become much easier than in the past. 40% of all marriages end in divorce. Rules such as no sex before marriage direct people onto the pathway of family and would increase the number of nuclear families. Secularisation however means people are not following rules such as these and therefore leading to a decrease in the number of nuclear families as more people did follow these rules in the past. Fourthly, over the last 40 years more same sex relationships are occurring due to change in legislation and reduce in stigma. Same sex relationships in the past were highly frowned upon and even illegal. Linking back to secularisation, stigma has decreased on the topic of homosexuality as most religions state same sex relationships are not allowed. So in the past more people agreed with and followed these rules however now people are much more accepting and open about same sex relationships. The civil partnership act of 2004 meant that gay couples could have the same rights as married couples. This lead to a large rise in the amount of same sex relationships and as this was increasing the amount of nuclear families started decreasing as a nuclear family cannot consist of two people of the same sex. Fifthly, the rise in career seeking people has risen. People who are dedicated to their work often do not have time to sustain a relationship and settle down and have a family. This means there are less first marriages today as the facts show. In England and wales 143,000 first marriages occurred in 2007. This is significantly ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They believed that they have the right to remain in the land that they were in at the time and that taking their land away from them is considered robbery of their land. The Cherokee Tribe ends with quoting the golden rule, most likely as in asking how the United States would feel if the roles of this act was reversed on them. Even though PCP s holding of Preem notes was only about 1% of the total par amount, but they had invested approximately $7million in dollar and euro denominated bonds at around 60% of par. PCP felt there was considerable upside in this position. However, PCP had been aware of the risks when acquiring the bonds in the weak operating performance of the oil refining such as the low oil price, excess capacity and the high leverage of Preem compare to many firms in the industry. PCP was considered the long performance of the firm in the future because Preem was more profitable than many of its peers. The economic turmoil that affected oil price was created conflict of interest between bondholders and syndicated banks as creditors. For instance, Corral was unable to make coupon payment because Preem was now disallowed from transferring profit to Corral. If each party insists on taking their own advantage to save their assets and avoid loss, there was one party loss in their investment in Corral and Preem. Alternatively, all parties included the owner might draw an agreement that provides win win solution to all parties. Several possible scenarios that PCP had to consider were: a. Bad Atonement Theology And Broken Justice Systems The Broken Cross; Bad Atonement Theology and Broken Justice Systems Introduction As we move through Holy Week, the journey of Lent leads Christians to not simply commemorate Jesus suffering on the cross, but engage the paschal event on every level of our experiences. For me, this included questioning the impact of the execution which stands so central to Christianity. In her book The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness, Michelle Alexander describes how the mass incarceration of black Americans has been steadily undermining any progress made by the civil rights movement. She argues that even though Jim Crow laws are no longer written, the plethora of young people of color arrested remain marginalized by a broken justice system. The United States represents about 4.4% of the world s population, it houses around 22 % of the world s prisoners, an overwhelming majority of whom are young, poor, and black. Recently, Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam signed a bill to allow the use of the electric chair in executions when the drugs for lethal injections are not available. How has this frighteningly oppressive system become normative justice for America? Does focusing on the crucifixion as the foundation of Christian transition per dispose modern Christians to be unconcerned with the death penalty as a fixture of our justice system? Through using lean management, Henry Ford create a high production and low stock, and fulfilled manufacture in a short period of time in the late 1910s (Arnheiter Maleyeff, 2005). The original principle of lean production is to identify and eliminate muda . The term of muda is a Japanese word, which means waste. Then such principle was regarded as lean. The theory of lean is considered that after eliminating waste, there is an improvement in quality and reduction of time and cost (Gershon Rajashekharaiah, 2011). After that, lean is used to manufacturing, and adding value and fulfilling the satisfaction of customers with less waste become the core idea of lean. This restrictive breeding pattern makes it difficult for frogs to reproduce efficiently with many disturbances being fire, flood water, droughts and disease frequently interfering. Frogs breeding phenology is being directly affected by enhanced climate change as they are highly susceptible to rising temperatures. Most species of frogs remain inactive during the winter months and unbearable summers. Although once the temperatures increase the species surface from hibernation and immediately search for ponds and rivers to begin breeding. Females only breed once a year, and the process from a tadpole to a frog can take anywhere between 20 days and 2 years depending on the species of the frog and the surrounding conditions. There is another argument, on that renders the bootstrap theory obsolete. A person s choices, education, and circumstances may each, or in combination, explain why they are impoverished. This alternative view proposes that the context of poverty alone, whether born into it or not, creates a psychological trap. At this time and even up to the mid 1970 s, most colleges and institutes were single sexed schools. They, at that time, only wanted to teach and build young men to transform the world; not women. The state arguably stated that women would not be able to hand the level of training involved in going to VMI (Justia). However, once most other colleges and institutions opened admissions, VMI still stood their ground as a male only institution. The question they then faced was whether or not their tradition to be male only was constitutional? The case of VMI went to the district courts, and was deemed to be a tradition and that this tradition was accepted. However, the Fourth Circuit rejected the decision. They found the policy in which they made admission decisions unconstitutional. In response Virginia tried coming up with a women only institution that would equal up to VMI. Absent compelling evidence of significant Iraqi involvement with the al Qaeda network or the events of September 11, the likely costs and risks of a commitment of American military forces to a regime change campaign in Iraq would outweigh the benefits. A U.S. overthrow campaign would entail a large scale military operation that the United States would probably have to undertake essentially alone; the increased risk of triggering terrorist attacks against American or allied targets; significant American casualties given the potential for intense urban combat and Iraqi use of chemical and biological agents; and the likely need for a long term American military presence in Iraq to avoid regional destabilization. Signal Decoding We intend to design a signal decoder as an ASIC. It will perform the decoding of neural signals and predict the brain s intention to perform arm movements. Though we use multiple electrodes to record the neural signal, the number of features that can be extracted from the recorded signal is very less. The neurons in the brain perform a task by sequential generation of action potentials which are then transmitted to other neurons through the synapse. These action potentials are referred to as spikes. The first step in decoding is to extract features from the recorded neural signal. The features we will be interested are the spikes. The efficient method to detect spikes is threshold crossing. This is a simple approach where we will setup threshold amplitude and count the number of threshold crossings across a time bin. Whenever a spike or set of spikes cross the threshold value it is detected and assigned to a single or a group of neuron. This method does not affect the decoding performance and has gained acceptance widely. We will adopt the threshold crossing technique to extract features from the neural signal.
