It notes that Antigone explores complex themes like morality, loyalty, and clashes between personal convictions and societal norms. Developing a compelling thesis and organizing coherent arguments on a specific topic requires understanding the play's intricacies, characters' motivations, and cultural context, as well as analyzing Sophocles' writing techniques. The essay must provide an original perspective, not just summarize the plot, and integrate scholarly sources and critical analyses to support arguments presented. Overall, composing an essay on topics for Antigone demands literary analysis, critical thinking, and research skills to explore the depths of the classic tragedy.
Essays About Love. Dunwoody College of TechnologyBridget Dodson
The document discusses the challenges of writing an essay about the theme of love. It notes that love is a complex and multifaceted concept that is difficult to capture fully in an essay. Defining love poses a challenge as there is no single agreed-upon definition and it manifests in different forms. Additionally, love is subjective and balancing personal perspectives with a broader understanding is delicate. Thorough research is needed to explore how love has been portrayed historically and culturally. Communicating the emotional depth of love requires introspection to avoid sentimentality. Overall, successfully writing about love demands thoughtful research and the ability to blend personal insights with a broader view, while appreciating the intricacies of human emotion.
Writing an essay on the topic of television is challenging as it requires balancing creativity, analysis, and reflection while exploring the diverse aspects of television. The vast landscape of television genres makes narrowing the focus difficult. Additionally, television is constantly evolving, necessitating thorough research to stay up to date on trends, technologies, and cultural influences. Finally, crafting insightful observations about television's cultural, social, and psychological impacts while avoiding clichés demands nuanced analysis and a fresh perspective.

This document provides an overview of wound healing, its functions, stages, mechanisms, factors affecting it, and complications.
A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is the lead agency when responding to
disasters from a federal perspective. In a large scale disaster such as a strong hurricane, FEMA will
oversee the response operations and assist the local, county, and state emergency management
agencies as needed. FEMA will receive regular updates on the status of the hurricane and
broadcast the information out to the affected states in order to provide a prompt response. In case
of evacuation, previously established evacuation plans would be utilized to remove people from
the impacted area. The state and local emergency management agencies will assist in disseminating
the information to the affected areas. In general, plans should be implemented to call in all
emergency responders to be ready for response and recovery operations.
The American Red Cross (ARC) will provide emergency assistance as needed including fixed or
mobile feeding stations, shelter, cleaning supplies, comfort kits, first aid, blood products, clothing,
emergency transportation, home repairs, household items, and medical supplies.
Additional assistance for long term recovery may be provided when other relief assistance and
personal resources are not adequate to meet recovery needs. The American Red Cross (ARC) also
provides referrals to the government and other agencies providing disaster assistance.

3. Characteristics Of Magnet Schools
Magnet schools are a fantastic idea when viewed from a large spectrum, however the system
remains slightly skewed. Northern Hartford is 80% Black and Latino. Many of the students that
attend magnet schools represent these ethnicities. However, there are still parents searching for a
better academic option for their children as they attend the inner city public schools that exemplify
all of the characteristics discussed before: poor educators, run down buildings, and merely an
inadequate quality of education. These parents try very hard to enroll their children into the magnet
schools, but unfortunately, 50% of these ethnic children are on a waitlist. Once again, white
children are prioritized.
Officials of these magnet schools go out of their way to seek out white children to attend these
magnet schools in order to meet the quota, and yes, it creates a diverse environment, but these white
children, again, are given additional opportunities. If a white child and his or her parent do not like
the magnet school, they can easily attend their neighborhood school which is usually highly
accredited. On the contrary, for Black and Latino children of Northern Hartford, the magnet school
is their one and only opportunity to escape the inadequate, segregated, public school system, and
yet, these children are the ones on the waitlist.
Overall, magnet schools provide an opportunity for success to children of all ethnicities. It exposes
them to diversity and broadens their views of greater society. Children are likely to perform well
due to the extensive resources provided in these magnet schools such as the vivarium and
planetarium in the magnet school for environmental sciences. Not only is it beneficial for the
children, but it demonstrates to parents who grew up in white, suburban, areas with one or two
black children that diversity is good, that these children are just like any others but with a different
skin tone. Integration aids in ridding the idea of racism and stereotypes. Ultimately, it is the
solution for a myriad of societal issues. In the establishment of magnet schools, the existing
diversity exemplifies symbolic interactionism between the children. Through their interactions, each

The Teen People, September edition, is a magazine designed to appeal to young female readers. Its

that attracts an upbeat, young readership interested in high quality appearance and style. Although
the magazine s main focus may appear to insure a great fashion sense, it also concentrates on a

shapes of females. Teen People also expands its audience by recognizing both visual and text

Similarly, the advertisement on page sixty four of the magazine uses an angelic/fairy tale theme
to introduce Secret Deodorant to the visually stimulated audience. In the center of the page, a
fairy like woman stands in the midst of a very surreal setting with stars and a light blue sky. By
using a woman who personifies a fairy, Secret manages to connect the new brand of Secret Violet
Dazzle with a mystical theme. The bright hues of purple and the naturalistic atmosphere, once
again, attract very young viewers to the product. Secret pictures a frail, flawless female to suggest
that varying types of women may use their product and still resemble the pure and enchanting
image. Thus, they incorporate the text When you re strong, you Sparkle, to show that by using their
product, one can eliminate the fear of smelling and sparkle with confidence. The advertisement
itself is very striking to the human eye. It s busy layout and choice in colors captivates those who
enjoy striking photography.
Unlike the Self Esteem and Secret Deodorant advertisements, which project a flirtatious and
heavenly attitude, Ralph Lauren s advertisement for the new scented hair collection portrays a
model with a sexually suggestive attitude. Ralph Lauren, a clothing line known for its natural yet
sexy look, attracts young females with the desire to be well known. Although the photography

5. Intercultural Abilities Nurses Should Have
There is an increasing number of diverse cultures within the health care system. Therefore, nurses in
general, or any healthcare professionals not only need to know how to care of patients from their
culture, but they also must be able to care of patients from other cultures with different health
beliefs, values, and practices. Cultural views of individuals influence their perceptions and
decisions of healthattitudes and health cares; in order to care for people across different languages
and cultures, nurses need to develop cultural sensitivity, awareness, competence, and humility
(Creasia Parker, 2007). Among these, cultural competent and humility are the foundation to provide

acknowledge the key role that culture plays to influence behavior in patients. Therefore, I haven t

opportunities to benefit from services that I can provide. Language difference is a challenge to both
paitiens and nurses in communicating about health beliefs, values, descriptions of symptoms (Polan
Taylor, 2011). Therefore, patiens can become frustrated, or are unable to comply with treatment if
they do not understand. In addition, patients were more likely to ask more questions and will have
better understanding with nurses who also speak the same language as theirs (Polan Taylor, 2011).
In order to enhance my communication with non English speaking patients, I usually use language
line service or interpreters. All written translators such as consent forms, patient educations and
instructions are printed in languages appropriate with the patient s if they are available. For
example, when ill or injured, Hispanic people frequently consult with other family members and
often ask them to come along to medical or hospital visits. Hispanic families are more likely to be

6. History in the Staples Approach Essay
One of Canada s contributions to the history of ideas has been a kind of historical economics. Now
a neglected artifact within the history of economic thought, as economics has moved on to non
historical, modeling approaches to understanding, the staples approach can serve to show how
economics can be enriched by a historical dimension.
What is the staples approach and what makes it especially suitable to an investigation of how
history informs economic understanding? The staple theory has been Canada s original
contribution to the world of economic ideas (along with the notion of effective protection devised
by Clarence Barber of the University of
Manitoba3). The observations of Harold Innis, and others, in the 1930s led to an ... Show more

Since The Wealth of Nations in 1776 economists had moved away from a study of what induces

Thomas Kuhn (1962) this was a paradigm, reflecting a world view.
In Innis s staples approach considerable attention is directed towards the physical characteristics of
the particular staple product under consideration. One of his most important works, The Fur Trade

commencing with this passage:

7. Thermal Factors That Affect Human Comfort
Introduction
There are many factors that affect human comfort in the internal built environment. Human comfort
is affected by thermal factors; physical factors and personal factors. Another factor that can affect
human comfort is sound of the environment around them. The final factor that affects the human
comfort is the visual of the room and the light intensity. There are ways to measure the physical
factors that affect human thermal comfort, the sound comfort and the visual comfort.
Thermal Factors
The average temperature inside a building is 19 21 degrees and outside is 1 degrees, but there are
two different thermal factors that affect the temperature of the room and human comfort; they are
physical and personal factors. The physical factors include; air temperature, mean radiation
temperature, relative humidity and air velocity. The air temperature inside of a building will change
depending on the temperature outside the building and the k values of the materials used to build
the walls and insulation. K values are the values that all materials have which shows how good
insulators the materials are, the lower the k value the more affective the materials are at retaining
heat. The u value is what overall heat resistance of the materials are. Air temperature is also affected
by the people inside the building and they activity they are doing. The mean radiant temperature
also affects the human comfort; mean radiant temperature is the radiation that is coming into the

Trapping Today Should be Legal, but Limited
Trapping is a very important issue, which is connected to many other larger issues. For instance,
trapping lies at the heart of the First
Nation s distinct society issue. Before I talk about the present, however,
I would like to discuss whether trapping should have been illegal when
Canada was first being settled in the 17th and 18th centuries.
When the first explorers came to the new world, it was regarded as a huge slab of worthless rock
standing between Europe and the riches of the
Orient. The only reason these explorers even explored this continent was the hope of finding the
North West passage, a route to the Orient.
Fortunately, while searching for this North West... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Relations with the Indians were shaky, at best. Some Indians befriended the French, and some
befriended the English. Some just gave their furs to the highest bidder. The relationship with the
Indians was more than just a trade agreement. The wars of the Indians were the wars of the French.
Now, imagine what would happen if one day, an Indian came to a
Frenchman and offered him a pelt. The Frenchman tells the Indian that not only will he not buy it,
but no Frenchman in New France will. Not only that, trapping furs in the forests belonging to the
French was not allowed. The relationships with the Indians which had taken so long to establish
would be shattered in days. The Indians would probably recognize the French as their enemies.
Now not only the enemies of the Indian friends of the
French would attack them, but also their friends . Settlers would again become afraid to come to
New France because of the fierce Indian attacks.
The French colony in New France would cease to exist. Therefore, I think trapping should have
been legal then. Now that I have talked about fur trapping then, I ll talk about it now.
Unfortunately, it is much more complicated now. Animal rights activists have told us that it is
wrong to kill an animal for its fur. I strongly agree with this opinion, especially since man made fur
is so accessible. Unfortunately, there are people who

Growing up around women breastfeeding was quite interesting; although I was young I was always
embarrassed to be around a nursing mother. Most of us are aware that breastfeeding is the most
natural way of providing infants with the nutrients they need for healthy growth and development.
Breastfeeding to a lot of mothers is the time of bonding between themselves and child.
Disagreement arises when nursing mothers decide to perform feedings in public areas. Then we
have the groups of people that view breastfeedingin public places as indecent and offensive. In an
article about current breastfeeding laws the authors state that currently, the majority of the US
states have legislation permitting women to breastfeed in any location and exempting
breastfeeding from indecency laws (Nguyen,Hawkins). I don t think the issue is with
breastfeeding itself. What may actually be the problem with the whole breastfeeding in public
debate would have to be the action of breastfeeding, the locations where the mothers choose to
breastfeed and sometimes age of child being breastfeed. Public breastfeeding can be a very touchy
topic with strong feelings on both sides of the debate. After considering both sides of the issue,
breastfeeding in public areas should not be done.
People claim that the actual problem they have with breastfeeding is the action of breast feeding.
The main reason for that initial awkwardness is probably the taboo against showing one s breasts

e.e. Cummings: The 20th Century s Most Idiosyncratic Poet

Although he was also a painter, he was mostly known for being a painter with words. Born into one
of Boston s most influential families, Edward Estlin Cummings (later known as e.e. Cummings)
iconoclastic poetry acquired much attention from 20th century society. Encompassing over a total
of 2,900 poems, four plays, essays, and two autobiographical novels, Cummings work is plentiful.

Because of his abilities as both a poet and a painter, Cummings developed a new form of literary
cubism: he broke up his material on the page to present it in a new, visually directed way.
(Kennedy) The poetic forms featured in Cummings work included the radical experimentation of
punctuation, capitalization, conjunction of words, and spelling. (Poets.org) Other linguistic
creations unique to this poet are his employment of verbs as nouns, visible in the following excerpt
from the poem Wherelings, Whenlings: wherelings, whenlings / (daughters of ifbut offspring of

Growth and risk emerge as the cardinal principles of Cummings anarchistic freedom. The safety of
perfection, of absolutes, of scientific precision, may be necessary, but can never be

conditions. He has the strength to take his chances, takes them willingly and joyfully, takes them
for himself and not for others, does not always win, but when he wins makes something that is
worth all the failures, even worth looking a bit ridiculous at times (Watson, p. 43)

species Pongo, commonly known as the orangutan. Orangutans, although closely related to the
other great apes, represent a lot of extremes in biological parameters (Campbell, C. J., 2011). One
of the most drastic extremes is that orangutans are the largest primary arboreal mammal in the
world. This is a result of special evolutionary adaptations that allow these primates to mechanically

various methods these orangutans were being hunted, killed or used by its enemies. It concludes
describing an old misconception of how an orangutan s great strength and ferocity render them
dangerous. We now know that these animals are actually very rarely aggressive, but rather solitary
social creatures. The common theme of primates being dangerous and monsters can be across
various historical writings. Orangutans, endemic now only in the southeast rainforests of Asia,
were once found throughout Asia (Campbell, C. J., 2011). Since 2001, there have only been two
species of orangutan identified, the Sumatran Orangutan (Pongo abeli) and the Bornean Orangutan
(Pongo pygmaeus) (Nater, A., et al. 2017). However, recent research, to be published later this
month, has identified a new third species of orangutan, Pongo tapanuliensis. This species of
orangutans, found south of Lake Toba, was once grouped with the Sumatran Orangutans, however,
recent genetic testing has identified them as a completely different species from those orangutans
found north of Lake Toba. Orangutans all face major issues in terms of numbers with all species
marked as either endangered or critically endangered due to hunting pressure and habitat
destruction. The palm oil industry has greatly

16. The Road By Sam Mendes
Revolutionary Road
A directed by Sam Mendes about a couple that faced common issues in marriage in the 1950 s.
In the 1950 s many lived in suburban areas in the hopes of a simple, normal life with goal of
safety and security. It was a means to surviving and having a peaceful life. However, April and
Frank Wheeler wanted a different life. April Wheeler found that the idea of living a simple life
was too dull and wanted more out of life and marriage. April Wheeler constantly romanticized the
idea of being a famous actor and breaking typical family norms rules of being a mother and wife.

Some of the main issues of their marriage comes from ineffective communication, problem of
juggling work and family, and even not coming together to identify clear goals and expectations to
agree on prior to marriage.
There are a number of things to consider when trying to choose the right partner in order to
minimize the risk of entering an unhealthy relationship. For example, some things to consider is
forming a homogamies relationship, complementary needs, responsible, committed, respectful, and
emotionally supportive. April and Frank never came together with shared values, attitudes, and
expectations they have out of marriage. They married young and didn t take time to get to know
what another. The process of their entire marriage and even discussing certain issues was always a
rush based on only emotional frustration rather without use of much logic, time, and patience for
one another. In addition, April has a disillusioned expectation of marriage and her husband. There is
no compromise, with the notion that Frank meets her needs only. April also had children without
wanting the responsibilities of being a mother.

RGGI Overview
The Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) is a cap and trade initiative set to regulate and
reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases from power generating facilities with an electrical
capacity equal or greater than 25 electrical megawatts (RGGI, 2015). The drafting of this initiative
started in 2003 when Connecticut (CT), Delaware (DE), Maine (ME), Massachusetts (MA), New
Hampshire (NH), New Jersey (NJ), New York (NY), Rhode Island (RI), and Vermont (VT) showed
interest in reviewing greenhouse gas emissions and a cap trade coalition to address the emission
from power plants in their territory. In 2005, the above mentioned states with the exception of RI
and MA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that outlined the model rules for the
program. Some of the topics outlined in RGGI Model Rule include: the responsibilities of the
account representatives, permitting recommendations, monitoring requirements, compliance
certification reports, control periods and others. The Model Rules were also the building blocks
used to develop state specific regulations supporting the goals and actions necessary to succeed
as a member. In 2007 MA, RI and MD also signed the MOU (RGGI, 2015a; RGGI, 2015b). On
January 1, 2012, RGGI lost one of its founding members after the governor of NJ; Chris Christie
withdrew NJ s support to the initiative. Throughout its participation, NJ received over $100 million
in revenues directly from the RGGI markets. (Christie, 2011) The

After year of recruiting, training, plotting, Fidel was ready to launch his revolutionary offensive.
His rebel army consisted of less than 200 men, and two women; (Huberman 1960: 28) the group

Article: The more science studies whole foods the more we learn that they may ultimately be our
salvation when it comes to curing major, life threatening illnesses. Even a humble root vegetable
like horseradish mainly used as a condiment is now being studied for it s many health benefits.
Now, for the first time science has identified and measured cancer fighting compounds, known as
glucosinolates, noting that horseradish contains approximately 10 times more glucosinolates than
its superfood cousin, broccoli.
More than just heat and flavor
Powerful and pungent horseradish is well known for adding heat to dishes. But this plant is also
connected to a wide variety of health benefits, including its ability to aid weight loss, lower blood
pressure, alleviate respiratory conditions, build strong bones, improve immune system health,
promote heart health, stimulate healthy digestion and most notably, horseradish can prevent cancer
due to its extremely high levels of glucosinolates. A recent study published in the Journal of
Agriculture and Food Chemisty shows glucosinolates could help detoxify and eliminate cancer
causing free radicals in the body. We knew horseradish had health benefits, said University of

Role of Digital Media in Anticipatory Shipping:

this digital world major part of advertisement budget is allocated to the digital media advertising.
One may think this is the maximum extent to which a company can go to improve its market
presence. But Amazon is undoubtedly way ahead in utilizing digital media for their research. A
quintessential to that is the current idea of Anticipatory Shipping. Even though there are some
loopholes in the whole idea the way they designed the whole structure of this delivery system is
quiet fascinating. They have divided the whole model into two parts

24. Difference Between Presupposition And Entailment
Introduction:
Presupposition and entailment are two phenomenons in the field of semantics in which speakers
assume that particular information is already known by their listeners. Presupposition defined in
The Cambridge Encyclopedia of Language is,
The information that a speaker assumes to be already known.
Presuppositions are therefore implicit assumptions about the background beliefs and scenarios
made by the speaker to be mutually known by the addressee. For example,
The World War has ended.
This utterance implies two things. Firstly, there was a World War. Secondly, it has now ended.
Have you stopped playing piano?
This example presupposes that the person referred to in the question once played the piano.
Types of presupposition: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In counterfactual it is not only a false or non factive statement but it is also far from the reality. Or
it s only a wish or dream that may never come true. Example,
If I was rich I would have booked a room in Burj khalifa.
It presupposes that the subject wishes to be rich and then be able to book a room in Burj Khalifa.
Difference between Entailment and Presupposition:
Entailment and Presupposition are two very closely related terms however there is a very distinct
difference between them. Entailment is a relationship between two sentences, where the truth of
one implies the truth of the other. The difference between the two terms can be suggested as such
that, negation of a sentence does not change its presuppositions whereas, the negation of a sentence
changes the entailment. For example,
I want to take a dance class again.
I don t want to take a dance class again.
Presupposition: Both the sentences presuppose that the subject has already taken a dance class
before.
Entailment: First sentence entails that the subject is willing again to take a dance class. While the
second sentence entails that now the subject has taken it before he/she does not want to take it

Does simply washing of hand with soap reduce the spread of diseases?
Introduction
According to world health organisation report (2015), hand washing is the simple act of cleaning
the hands with or without water and soap. It requires the use of water and soap to remove dirt
form the hands (World Health Organisation, 2015). Evidence has shown that diarrhoea is the
leading course of death in young children and it is in every way linked to poor hand hygiene
(Ejemot RI, 2008). Diarrhoea according to World Health Organization (WHO) is defined as 3 or
more loose or watery stools per day, which is rather not normal as it should be in a normal
individual. There are different types of nosocomial infections and according to (LV, 1993) the most
common nosocomial infection is the nosocomial diarrhoea depending on the duration of
hospitalisation, exposure to antibiotics and poor hand hygiene. Based on researches that have been

There are useful observations based on understanding of Adaptive Leadership, Psychodynamic
Approach, and Team Leadership as they apply to the leadership of Friendship Baptist Church. The
theoretical study of the application of these theories offer some informative data sets.
Applying Adaptive Leadership to the Case Study
Adaptive learning involves the awareness of the organization dynamic and the member needs as
well. The leadership dynamic involves the assessment of needs and the best ways to meet those
needs within organization. Adaptive Leadership provides the understanding, skills, and support that
we need to do two things well: distinguish what s essential from what s expendable and innovate in
ways that dovetail with those essentials. In the case of Friendship Baptist Church, the leadership of
the organization has become stagnant and ineffective. There has never been an in depth assessment
of the needs of the church and the ways leadership might meet them. The church has failed to
connect to the changing demographic of the community. A predominately African American...

The psychodynamic approach places emphasis on leaders obtaining insight into their personality
characteristics and understanding the response of subordinates, based on their personalities.
Leaders should also encourage work group members to gain insight into their own personalities so
that they could understand their reactions to the leader and each other. Important concepts in
psychodynamic approach to leadership include e.g. the family of origin, individuation, dependence
and independence, regression and the shadow self. These concepts come from psychoanalysis and
psychiatry and can sometimes be abstruse and not easily understood. That is the reason that there
has been attempts to make psychodynamic theory more

You want to start out the New Year heading in the right direction, which means you re looking for
ways to lead, motivate, and boost revenue and profit. Well, here are ten highly effective tips that
focus on motivating your team.

1. Ask Key Questions. Many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Phrases like, You ve brought up an interesting point; let me think about it and I ll get back to you ,
or I hadn t looked at it that way before. How would we implement your idea? are very effective,
especially if you make it a point to get back to your team. Don t just offer lip service. Give weight
to each valid idea.
4. Lead By Following. Yes, you read right. Following. Read, absorb, discover, explore what other
great leaders have done and learn from them. BE the leader through credible track making. Yes, it s
good to break new ground, and entrepreneurs thirst for that opportunity, but recognize that great
people have risen to the top for a reason. Learn from them and lead with confidence.
5. Integrity Is Key. Don t hold back the truth. Treat your team like the adults they are and build
confidence and trust by sharing the ups and downs. It s always a good idea to share positive
growth and to bring challenges to the forefront. Steps, then, can be taken to work through the
challenges.
6. Revisit Your Vision And Mission. IF you ve lost sight of either or both of these, I guarantee
your team has lost sight of them as well. A great leader helps his or her team focus on the goal.
And carrying out that vision is what your mission is all about. Make sure your team understands
what the vision and mission are, and clarify each step that leads to those goals. Create a plan
walking through each step, including tracking who s

31. Comparing Nisus And Euryalus In The Aeneid
The story of Nisus and Euryalus in the Aeneid holds so many connections to the episode of
Odysseus and Diomedes that there remains no doubt that the Iliad inspired Vergil s tale. In Book
10 of the Iliad, Agamemnon and Nestor send Odysseus and Diomedes into the Trojan camp in the
middle of the night, where the two heroes slaughter more than a dozen sleeping men. In Book 9 of
the Aeneid, Nisus and Euryalus volunteer to spy on the sleeping Rutulian camp to provide the
Trojans with information on their enemies, killing a number of men in the process. Of course,
the two stories end in drastically different ways. At first glance, the two episodes seem so similar
in their beginnings that it is easy to overlook Vergil s message embedded in his story. His
divergence from Homer s tale is a way of stating his ideas on the meaning of heroism and honor.
The stories from both epics start in almost identical ways: two brave men set out to the enemy s
camp in an attempt to collect information from the enemy. Upon closer review, however, it is
apparent that the intentions of and relationships between the pairs are not quite the same.
Diomedes takes up the challenge because he feels he needs to as one of the most powerful Greek
warriors, saying, Nestor, my pride as a man urges me / To go into the enemy camp over there,
(10.227 228). He chooses Odysseusfor strategic reasons, stating that Odysseus has what it takes for

As we have seen, God promises a blessing to those who trust in His word and strive to live by it.
Christians do not want to miss out on God s blessing, especially those waiting for Him to reveal
something. Now reading any book of the Bible, even Job, one begins to understand that God
will bless you as you strive to study and practice His way of life. The Bible prophetically warns
of even more pain in many different forms then what is done here Job, and through this we begin
to portray God in a different light (Janzen 2012). However, the book of Job reveals God s level
of intervention during such a violent time. Due to the context and dire situation it would be
difficult to imagine anything more then the pain for the members of Job s family and the
community at that time. They needed encouragement and the assurance that the trials Job faced
would soon be over. The evil powers of Satan that governed Job s life for a moment would be
destroyed, and a triumphant sense of peace would be reestablished. The message of Job was
intended for those in a particular time and circumstances of pain. Christians familiar with other
violent writings would understand the book s symbolism, for practically everything Job went
through was a test that other biblical figures felt during similar times of persecution. Job s story

INTRODUCTION
Tackling the War on Drugs (CD) and Combating Transnational Crime Organizations (TCO) is an
important national security problem. While addressing this issue in a scholastic forum, I
immersed myself into this problem set using the guidance of assuming the role of Colonel Tim
Killian. Utilizing the provided case and the ADIA framework and course concepts, I reviewed and
assessed the information presented. The goal of Joint Task Force North (JTFN) J 5 is to develop a
strategy for military support to counter drug efforts and more broadly fight transnational organized
crime.
In this paper, I have negotiated the decision cycle and reviewed implementation choices, which
leads to another analysis process in grading the progress. Keeping with the examination s pretext,
my approach employs each of the four framework pieces, which essentially ask five
straightforward queries. In the Assess step, Who am I and where are we? In the Decide step,
Where should we go? In the Implement step, How do we get there? And finally, in the Assure step,
Are we getting there? These questions formed the template that assisted in traversing the problem
set, seeing the fullness of the situation, and to formulate plans toward addressing the problems of
CD and TCOs.

35. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Cooperatives
14.31Workers co operatives
In large public companies, management and ownership are separate. By contrast, in workers co
operatives employees will have contributed towards the capital of the organisation and may elect
managers at annual meetings.
The advantage of workers co operatives is that all workers can take part in discussions regarding
their firm. Therefore, there is a strong incentive for workers to work harder and increase
profitability if they anticipate receiving higher dividends from their shares.
Another advantage is that taking part in the decision‐making process helps to motivate workers.
However if the co operative becomes bankrupt then the workers will lose both their jobs and the
value of their shares. It may then be difficult to persuade employees to put more capital into the
business. The objectives of co operatives are usually to provide goods and services to consumers at
reasonable prices and to pay fair wages to the workers.
Whilst there have been workers co operatives for a considerable time there has been a noticeable
increase in their number in recent years. Many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Nationwide Building society, which is the largest, has a clause that new shareholders i.e. almost

The logic of this clause was otherwise, since there is one member one vote so called carpetbaggers

36. The Three Factors Of Juvenile Delinquency
In the United States, juvenile delinquency is becoming a major problem in the communities across
the country. Because of the actions that these juveniles engage in on a regular basis, taxpayers
across the country are having to shell out hundreds upon thousands of dollars to rehabilitate these
children in order to help them make better choices. This leads citizens to wonder what factors
actually cause juveniles to live a life of crimerather than success. In short, there are three main
factors that often cause childrento live a life of crime. These three factors are social influences,
psychological characteristics, and academic potential.
The first factor that often leads to juvenile delinquency involves the child s social influences
within their communities. The community of individuals that a child is normally around on a
normal basis includes family, friends, and neighbors. Depending on the overall quality of the
relationship that the child has with each member of their community, they maybe more or less
inclined to commit crimes. According to the National Criminal Justice Reference Service,
juveniles who experience abuse or neglect from any member of their community may be more
inclined to become deviant (n.d.). For example, if a father abuses his child, the odds of the child
s willing to resort to deviance becomes significantly higher than a father who treats his son like a
normal parent. Another way a child can be socially exposed to deviance is through example. If a
parent is always in a run with law enforcement on a constant basis, that child may grow up to be
just like them simply because that is how they were raised. The third and final social influence
comes outside of the family circle where the actions that a child s friends partake in can also
determine whether or not the child will pursue acts of deviance. The influence of a friend s
actions can either be positive or negative depending on the values of the friend. For instance, say a
child named Johnny hangs around a group of troublemakers who always wreck havoc, smoke
joints, and talk trash about everyone. This kind of relationship between Johnny and his friends can
lead Johnny to becoming just like the troublemakers because of peer pressure.

I recently got done reading a book called The Unnamables by Ellen Booraem, and I have read the
whole book. In that book, there were three main characters named Medford, Prudy, and
Goatman. This book is about an island, and everything on this island has a name. Things that are
given a name, are supposed to live up to that name and do nothing more or less than that name.
For example, their island is called Island, their city hall is called City Hall and so forth. People
are also given names that they are to live up to, like Baker, Pickler, Carver, and so forth. I think
this book takes place in the past. The reason I think this, is because the people in this story uses
words like thou, thus, and phrases like I fare well . The main character,

38. Literary Devices In A Small Place
Gentle waves, lush greenery, and sun soaked beaches, Antigua embodies your ideal holiday
destination. But Jamaica Kincaid turns your paradise upside down in her new memoir A Small
Place. Using her pen as a sword, Kincaid slashes Antigua s façade of perfection into shreds and
presses the blade against the throats of tourism, colonialism and corruption. Many denounce
Kincaid s latest book as an over attack, her gaze too penetrating and intimidating. The tone of voice
continuously shifts throughout the memoir, starting from sardonic, manifesting into anger, to
slowly conclude in melancholy. Though particular accusations, such as when the narrator cruelly
rejects you as an ugly thing , may upset the readers, Kincaid purposely provokes reactions of
defensiveness and guilt to challenge us... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The autobiographical novel maintains its poetic form through repetition, alliteration, and rhythm.
As Kincaid writes, ...for no real sunset could look like that; no real seawater could strike that many
shades of blue at once; no real sky could be that shade of blue... This charm lulls and immobilizes
the reader, such that Kincaid s narration graduates from the victim of such transformative power to
a practitioner in her own right. The mystical form powerfully mixes with historical content, opening
up new possibilities for discussions that extend the political argument beyond the metaphysical.
Indeed, the deceptive simplicity of diction and the finely controlled syntax examine Antigua s
clouded process of existence with incisive clarity. An emotionally truthful, intimate, and poignant
piece, A Small Placedemonstrates the author s conflicting attitudes of love and disappointment
towards her birthplace. As Covi praises, Reading A Small Place is like looking at the sea: the
message is carried by the tide, but it is impossible to say upon which particular

The use of robotic and new techniques leads to a refinement of scientific management where the
human factor is not denied anymore but instrumentalized to achieve economic objectives. The
evolution of the society, social relationships, improvement in education... has influenced
organizational structures and management principles. For example, the balance of power between
managers and workers has changed. In the 19th century, the power was essentially in the employer
side whereas today, particularly with the emergence of unions, it is quite balanced. The rise in
workforce s education and standard of living has resulted in much more demanding employees (C.
Grönroos, 1994). Historical scientific management is therefore not appropriate anymore, either for
its aims or for its principles.
However, taylorism is still the origin of everything, it is firstly continued by Fordism with the
assembly line and real mass production, going to an upper level of work organization and a new
salary policy (5$ a day=double salary) allowing workers to consume and thus stimulating mass
consumption. We can talk about fordist compromise based on the distribution of the value added
advantageous for employees. It implies a win win situation between employees and employer. Ford
has improved social part of scientific management, encouraging workers to work more. Fordism is

There is very little we know about the early history of Russia. Though we don t know much,
what we do know about Russia s early history is quite interesting. Russia started as a small group
of cities inhabited by slavs and Scandinavians. The cities were usually invaded and taken over by
outsiders. What we have found in archaeological digs gives us a better understanding of what it
was like during those times. If you look deep into Russian history, you will find that the main city at
the time was Novgorod. Moscow was never mentioned in the early history until 1147 AD. There
other interesting things about Russia; you just have to be willing to look for them. The first people
to settle in Russia was an Indo European group called the Slavs. The Slavs settled the western
part of Russia in 1500 BC. They lived here with other people in the city of Novgorod. All was
well until the ninth century when the Scandinavians who were led by a man named Rurik came
and took over Novgorod. When Rurik s reign was over he was succeeded by Oleg. Oleg made the
country bigger by taking over the southern regions. During this time, he conquered another Slavic

One night his children s wishes were overheard and it was to write his stories down on paper. He
started to do so, and there they became his first published children s book. He continued writing
mostly successful stories and soon enough, a passion developed. The Wizard of Oz was

books. Following the success of the musical of The Wizard of Oz, Frank was inspired to write
another Oz book. Although the second book was popular, it did not gain as much profit as the

successes, Frank s poor investment skills meant that Frank eventually had to file for bankruptcy in

It is the losses in life that makes us who we are. Whether it be the loss of someone close to us or

The issue I intend to research is a critical evaluation of capitalism and free markets versus
socialism and Keynesian economics. In the twentieth century every human civilization was
shaken not just by the aftermath of a worldwide war, but by a political rift without equal. This
last concerns the best possible part and elements of government a subject of critical significance
the welfare of all humankind. No other worldwide issue has ever created so profound and
troublesome rupture in popular supposition at high cost to human life. The issue is, figuratively,
regardless of whether an individual possesses himself and the rewards for his labor and mind or
whether he is claimed by the collective and is born accordingly obligated. In other words, regardless
of whether the collective or government should take the chief part in the exercises of the group and
control with omnipotent powers the developments and welfare of the individuals, or whether it
might stand separated from the battle, mediating upon its issues, ensuring reasonable equity to all,
and safeguarding the tenets of fair play. That is to say, whether the administration should take upon
itself the power and elements of the old fashioned slave proprietor, or should leave the society free
to get themselves straightened out into entrepreneur and worker, while the collective government
goes about as the judge, ready in the communal interest to exert physical and financial force against

As defined by the American Psychiatric Association (2013), individuals diagnosed with antisocial
personality disorder (ASPD) exhibit a pervasive pattern of disregard for, and violation of, the
rights of others that begins in childhood or early adolescence and continues into adulthood.
Individuals, both with and without ASPD, often find themselves facing stiff consequences when
they break the law by violating the rights of others. The propensity of individuals with ASPD to
break such laws is one possible explanation for the prevalence of ASPD increasing from a range
of 0.2% to 3.3% in the general population to 47% in prisons (American Psychiatric Association,
2013; Fazel Danesh, 2002). With such a disparity between the general and prison prevalence of
ASPD, it is clear that society is adroit in isolating the undesired behaviors of individuals with
ASPD; however, society also has a responsibility to protect the rights of those diagnosed with a
bonafide illness. If ASPD is the cause of an individual s incarceration, then their successful
reintegration into society relies on treating the underlying diagnosis, and in order to do that, it is
important to understand the neurobiological foundations of ASPD. Individuals with APSD exhibit
neuroanatomical differences compared with individuals without the diagnosis. Magnetic resonance

Increasing money impacts Asian economy on capital flows and on either exchange rates or
housing prices significantly. The result of this section is quiet interesting. The QE of US brought
huge capital inflows into Asian economies. There are two ways that it can influence: 1) a large
amount money flows into the emerging markets to buy their currencies which investors expected
they would increase values relative to USD; then, the expectation caused the appreciation of
currencies. 2) however, if the central banks of some certain economies try to stabilize their
exchange rates not to appreciate, the effect of QE would show in the housing markets, the most
important household assets in most Asian countries. In real terms, Cho and Rhee (2014) indicates
in the figure 5 that the housing prices nearly double in Hong Kong and India since the fourth
quarter in 2008 to 2012. Also, in Taiwan, the housing prices rose by almost 60%. In Malaysia, it
increased by around 30%. Economies with stable or rigid exchanges suffer from large increasing in
the housing prices. Figure 6, calculated by Cho and Rhee (2014), demonstrates the relationship
between exchange rates and housing prices. From the figure 6, it is obvious that Japan is an outlier.
As a result, we show two situations in the figure 6, with and without Japan. Including Japan in the
