3. Set-up Instructions
First, hammer in the
nails on the ceiling with
the pointy side facing
downwards toward the
floor.

4. Regulations:
2 Players per team. There cannot be more than a 3 inch height difference between players.
Tete a Tete consists of 3 rounds. Each round begins with blowing up a balloon to a 9 inch
diameter. Players can begin bouncing the balloon up and down with their heads as soon as
the balloon has achieved the required size.

8. Rule summary for Tête à Tête
• 2 players per team.
• Players cannot have more than a 3 inch height discrepancy between them.
• Only the head may touch the balloon.
• Each round begins with the players standing 4 feet apart (as measured from the center of
their heads). One player faces front and the other faces back. However, during the course of

the round the players may end up facing the same direction.
• Referee blows whistle to start the round and players begin to blow up their balloons.
• A player can start bouncing a balloon on his/her head as soon as his/her balloon has been
blown to 9 inches in diameter. There is no need to wait for his/her partner to start.

• Players can bounce each other’s balloon; however, their feet cannot cross over the divided
line between them. Should this happen that player will need to immediately leave and re-
join his/her partner in the next round. Any other body part that crosses over the divided line
is allowed.
• If a balloon touches the floor or a body part that is not the head, then that balloon is
removed from the round and the players can only play with one balloon between them.
• A score of 5pts is awarded when a balloon pops from hitting a nail on the ceiling. Maximum
of 10 pts is granted per round; therefore, a maximum of 30pts is can be granted per game.
• Players move to the next round when all balloons have been removed from the game due to
popping or touching the floor/non-head body part.
• Winning team is the team that achieves the highest no. of points after 3 rounds. 8
