Esta encuesta se realizó durante las últimas dos semanas de abril (2015), con una respuesta de 511 personas,
básicamente provenientes de la Región Metropolitana (88%) y mayoritariamente de las comunas de
Santiago, Maipú, Las Condes, Providencia, Ñuñoa, La Florida y Puente Alto. Se aplicó un cuestionario - vía
email de diez preguntas con respuestas cerradas (recurriendo al programa Survey Monkey) - a las listas de
correo de una universidad privada, de adscripción católica y con amplia dispersión socioeconómica entre
sus estudiantes (estudiantes de pregrado, postgrado y formación continua, profesores, administrativos) y
de suscriptores del Informe Ethos. Esta encuesta no es probabilística y, por tanto, sus resultados no son
representativos sino sólo indicadores de tendencias de una porción de la población. Aun cuando los cuestionarios
fueron aplicados en un contexto de amplia heterogeneidad socioeconómica, las conclusiones de
este estudio refieren a un sector específico de la sociedad, mayoritariamente residente en la Región Metropolitana,
con un ingreso superior al promedio nacional y con estudios universitarios.

El resumen analiza los resultados de una encuesta realizada en Chile entre el 18 y 31 de diciembre de 2015. 1,200 personas fueron entrevistadas cara a cara. Algunos hallazgos clave son: un 44% mira el futuro con preocupación y un 53% con esperanza, similar a 2011. El 2015 fue percibido como un año de decadencia y estancamiento. Los problemas económicos son la principal preocupación para un 48%. Los cinco políticos con más futuro son Marco Enríquez-Ominami, Sebastián Piñera, Ricardo Lagos, Gabriel Boric y Giorgo

Progress report
This progress report discusses the research and planning for a film about a teenage girl's life. The team feels they can relate well to the protagonist as they are similar in age. They have chosen to work with an independent studio that allows creative control while also pursuing broader marketing. Their opening scene will use the girl's social media and voice over to introduce her personal life and thoughts. The film aims to target teenage girls and their boyfriends as the primary audiences. It will tell a story of the girl undergoing a personality change that causes disapproval from friends and her crush, with the lesson that one should accept oneself. So far the team feels they are making productive progress on schedule as a cohesive unit.

"We examine how financial assurance structures and the clearly defined financial transaction at the core of monetized network hospitality reduce uncertainty for Airbnb hosts and guests. We apply the principles of social exchange and intrinsic and extrinsic motivation to a qualitative study of Airbnb hosts to 1) describe activities that are facilitated by the peer-to-peer exchange platform and 2) how the assurance of the initial financial exchange facilitates additional social exchanges between hosts and guests. The study illustrates that the financial benefits of hosting do not necessarily crowd out intrinsic motivations for hosting but instead strengthen them and even act as a gateway to further social exchange and interpersonal interaction. We describe the assurance structures in networked peer-to-peer exchange, and explain how such assurances can reconcile contention between extrinsic and intrinsic motivations. We conclude with implications for design and future research."

I set out to get real life examples from individuals and revenue cycle teams who have achieved sustained success. This presentation chronicles the first 12 facilities I visited and researched.

Washington State University’s (WSU) Rural Pathways to Prosperity (P2P) is a statewide economic development leadership conference that uses a unique approach to reach rural communities, revive the economy, and strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
