Karl Marx s View Of Communism
Karl Marx went to three universities before graduating and receiving his degree. He is a German
scholar who disliked Russia his whole life. Communism or Marxism is the belief that everything is
owned by everyone, not one individual. Karl Marx first thought of the idea of communism in 1848
when he created the Communist Manifesto. He came up with the idea of communism as a result of the
failing capitalist system. Karl Marx has influenced many countries today with his writings and beliefs
of communism.
The life of Karl Marx had its ups and downs. He was born on May 5, 1818 in Trier, Rhine Province,
Prussia. He was the oldest of 9 children. His father was a lawyer and the Man of the Enlightenment.
Both Karl Marx s parents had a Jewish background. As Karl got older he also got more reckless. He
did not manage money well and was occasionally broke. When Karl went to college, he went to the
University of Bonn(3). It was a rebellious school. He later was imprisoned for drunkenness and

able to survive on his own. Karl had to rely heavily on his friend Friedrich Engels, the other creator of
the Communist Manifesto. He did not have much money and most people did not like him because of
his beliefs and his works. Many governments were threatened by the writings of Karl Marx, for in fear
of a revolution in their own countries. Later, in his years of staying in Britain he become distant from

Mandate Of Heaven Essay
The influence that the Mandate of Heaven and the Dynastic cycle had upon Chinese politics was that
it dictated the ruling of Chinese emperors during the time. The Mandate of Heaven asserted that only
one dynasty can rule at a time. While the Dynastic cycle was a series of historic periods where
Chinese kingdoms rose and fell in succession. China is a nation with one of the longest enduring

Jack Russell Terrier Essay
PARSON RUSSELL TERRIER (JACK RUSSELL TERRIER)
ORIGIN AND HISTORY
This breed was developed in England in the mid 1800s by a clergyman, Reverend John Russell. Rev.
Russell was an avid enthusiast of fox hunting and wanted to develop a dog that would go to ground
after the fox and flush it from its hole so the hunt could continue. Size was of the utmost importance to
Rev. Russell as the dog had to keep up with the foxhounds. The ideal height of his terriers at the
shoulders was 15 . After Rev. Russell s death, a short legged, long bodied dog with prick ears and a
smooth coat came to be known as the Jack Russell terrier and it was that dog that was brought to
America. In 1990 the breed was established in England as the Parson Jack Russell terrier and adopted
the standard desired by Rev. Russell of a muscular, narrow chested dog, 12 15 inches in height.
In 1985, the Jack Russell Terrier Breeders Association was formed to re establish the original type
terrier bred by Rev. Russell. This group became the Jack Russell Terrier Association of American and

Definition Essay Family
The Dictionary definition of family is A group consisting of parents and children living together in a
household. My definition of family is people with an unconditional love for each other. My family and
I have always been very close. For example, we share all of our secrets with each other. Since I can
remember, my family and I have always went on a family beach trip to Panama City Beach. We stay at
the Shores of Panama, a very nice resort, and the people who own it expect us every year. We always
take our beach trip in early September. The reason they decided on September is because it is the
beginning of fall which means it will be warm instead of hot. I look forward to going to the beach with

Lord Byron Romantic Poet
Sorrow is knowledge, those that know the most must mourn the deepest, the tree of knowledge is not
the tree of life. Lord Byron Lord Byron was exceptional poet whose work would stick around forever
and awe inspire many. Though born in the late 1700 s, Lord Byron was one of the leading figures of
the Romantic Movement in early 19th century England. The notoriety of his sexual escapades is
surpassed only by the beauty and brilliance of his writings. After leading an unconventional lifestyle
and producing a massive amount of emotion stirring literary works, Byron died at a young age in
Greece pursuing romantic adventures of heroism. Lord Byron is regarded as one of the greatest British
poets and is best known for his amorous lifestyle and his brilliant use of the English language. Born
George Gordon Byron, on January 22nd, 1788, Lord Byron was the sixth Baron Byron of a rapidly
fading aristocratic family. Byron was born with a club foot that left him self conscious for most of his
life. As a young boy, George had to endure many unfortunate events. Including his father abandoned
the family, his schizophrenic mother and nurse who abused him. As a result he lacked discipline and a
sense of moderation, traits he held to his entire life. In 1798, at age 10, George inherited the title of his
great uncle, William Byron, and was officially recognized as Lord Byron. Two years later, he attended

The Ethics of Boeing and Mr. Harry Stonecipher Essay
Harry Stonecipher and the ethics of Boeing
Should Harry Stonecipher have been fired for having a consensual affair with another executive at
Boeing Aircraft? The answer is most decidedly yes. In many people s eyes this affair could have
violated the company s code of conduct, and went against the reason Harry Stonecipher was hired. His
actions showed flaws in his character that could have been damaging to the company had he been
allowed to stay. The Boeing board of directors had no other choice than to tender Mr. Stonecipher s
resignation.
It was stated in an article in the March 2008 Tribune Business News that, Although the relationship

Stoneciphers infraction?
Mr. Stonecipher was hired to clean up Boeing, and to keep the company out of the ethical spotlight. It
was therefore his duty to live by the standards he enforced. If he was unable to do that, then he should
have stepped down as CEO before this extra marital affair was brought to light. Hypocrisy is no way
to lead a company. It will only cause dissension among peers and employees.
Senior leaders of a company are the moral rocks that the company bases its values on. If a leader
demonstrates strong moral values and a desire to do what is considered right by the majority of his
employees his attitude will, after a time become infectious. The majority of his employees will begin
to emulate his actions, and begin to modify their values to meet his. This would result in increased
productivity and a more pleasant work environment. At the same time, if that same leader were to
demonstrate questionable values and a do as I say not as I do attitude the same thing would occur. The
majority of his employees would begin to lower their moral values and the overall productivity of the
company would suffer.
Although Mr. Stonecipher was unable to live up to his duties of keeping Boeing out of the ethical
spotlight and setting the standard for his employees to follow, the Boeing board of directors did just
that. By requiring Mr. Stonecipher to tender his resignation they

What made her special enough to have a 967 page poem about her? Where did she belong in the vast
life of Dante? Why has Dante chosen to paint this truly heavenly picture of her? How did she react to
this? The historical Beatrice was very probably Bice, daughter of Falco Portinari, (Madelbaum [IN]
320) so in reality Beatrice or Bice was really just a childhood neighbor of the Alighieri, who Dante
says he, immediately felt the foce of love for her upon first glance. (Alighieri [VN] 37) However love
at first sight is hardly the case here. They first laid eyes on each other at age nine, Dante being several
months older then Bice, however the twist comes when it isn t until almost nine years after this event
the first words are finally spoken between the two. Soon after this event the heavenly Bice married,
not Dante, but Simone di Bardi and then, sadly, died at a very young age.
What is it exactly that would make Dante write such an epic piece about someone who he never really
knew too well? It is said that, After the death of Beatrice, Dante entered, belatedly but voraciously, a
period of philosophical study. His motives were both the need for consolation and the restless, urban,
unecclesiastical curiosity that characterized one who was becoming the most complete intellectual of
his time. (Mandelbaum [IN] 321) So it is easily noticeable that there is some kind of connection
between Dante and Bice. Yet, is it possible that this affection was a one

Literature Review On Teamwork
Literature Review
Teamwork is generally considered as the willingness of a group of people to work together to achieve
a common aim. Teams play a major role in our lives. Working in groups is probably an inevitable life
experience. Teams are everywhere: in educational places, workplaces, and neighborhood. This review
will focus on three themes which emerge repeatedly throughout the literature reviewed. These themes
are: student s benefits from learning in groups, the importance of teamwork skills in work and school,
and teamwork as a key to success for teachers and paraeducators.
Teamwork has a big amount of advantages which can be got by every member of the team. The article
Student s benefits from learning in groups (n.d.) illustrates the positive sides of group working and
things that should be done in order to achieve benefits. Harvard publishes a guide to working in teams,
with information significant to both tutors and students. Methods are the following: organizing the
work and managing team activities; including everyone and their ideas; leading the group and
focusing on a direction. As Hartley and Robson assert (1999, as cited ... Show more content on

can also open your eyes to new ideas and widen your outlook. As Wagner (2015) asserts, students
preparing for future careers will find that skills obtained in college can support cooperation attributes
that are very much required at places of employment; they also gain experience and learn how to
advise. Moreover, the writer claims that knowledge and technical skills are not enough, not being
willing to collaborate can be a red flag for an employer. Consequently, there is no school or workplace
without teamwork because it leads to benefit and

The Violence And Drug Abuse
In our days many people tend to listen to music almost anywhere they go. But unfortunately teenagers
are the ones that get influenced by music the most, as they are less developed than the adults. In today
s days many singers and rappers that sing and rap about the drugs and violence. And for some reason
that s what teenagers prefer. The example of this singers would be O.T Genasis, Wiz Khalifa and
Chief Keef. All these singers and rappers promote the violence and drug abuse in our society. In result,
children become less successful in the society that they live and their physical abilities become less
prominent. Resulting in very weaker generation.
As a part of Chicago s violent community, Chief Keef is known for his rap songs that only talk about
drugs, violence and women. Chief Keef is also one of the most notable artists among the teenagers in
Chicago. As many teenagers listen to Chief Keef s lyrics, unfortunately many teenagers get influenced
by it. In one of the Chief Keef s songs called I don t like , Chief Keef raps I got a bad bitch, yeah that
bitch right. We smoke dope all day, all night. By rapping that, many young teenagers start thinking
that smoking marijuana all day and all night is a cool thing because Chief Keef does that and many
teenagers want to be like him. And as these teenagers get slightly older they become addicted to
marijuana and then start taking much harder drugs. Also, Chief Keef through his lyrics promotes
violence. As almost every song

Athenian Women Essay
Athenian Women
Athenian society was very dynamic in many areas while it was strict in regard to the treatment of
women. Although Athenian women were protected by the state and did not know a different way of
living, they were very stifled and restricted. The only exception was slaves, and heteria, prostitutes,
and this was due to the fact that they had no male guardians. Since these women were on there own
they had to take care of themselves, and therefore were independent. In a more recent and modern way
of viewing the role of a woman, independence and freedom to do as one likes is one of the most
important aspects of living. In Athens the wives had none of this freedom and the prostitutes did. Who

But when we come to the age of maturity and awareness, we are thrust out and battered away, far from
the gods of our forefathers and parents, some to good homes and some to abusive ones. And after one
single joyful night live, we are compelled to praise this arrangement and consider ourselves lucky.
Sophocles, Fragment 583 from terus.
A scorned wife spoke this in one of Sophocles lost plays. Sophocles has seized the essence of what it
means to be a woman in Athens at this time. The marriage of an Athenian woman and man is hard to
define exactly because there has not been an exact word translated that is equivalent to the word,
marriage. The Athenians have words that translate as physical acts for a marriage for the sake of
having a child, they also have words that translate as cohabit or live together. This leads to the
conclusion that our traditional connotation of marriage as a bond is not the way it was in Athens. The
reasons for a man and a woman to be joined in marriage were nor for love, as we would expect, it
would be for profitable and more pragmatic reasons. Usually most beneficial to the male s in the bride

was decided for them in terms of a husband. ...A husband normally addresses his wife as woman. The

Truth In The Colbert Report
True, as it is defined today as in accordance with fact or reality , was first recorded c.1200 (Online
Etymology Dictionary). True derives from the Old English triewe (West Saxon), treowe (Mercian),
meaning, faithful and trustworthy, from the Proto Germanic word trewwjaz, meaning having or
characterized by good faith . True, along with firm , strong , and sure is ultimately rooted in PIE dru,
meaning tree and steadfast as an oak (Online Etymology Dictionary). In mid 14c, truth was first
defined to denote a sense of something that is true , particularly in contrast to lie (Harper, 2017).
Historically, truth and what is true was a notion rooted in factual evidence and reality. In alignment

In 2009, the Nigerian writer Chimanda Ngozi Adichie presented a TED Talk where she spoke about
the danger of a single story . Upon moving to America from Nigeria, Adichie was surprised to
discover that American media presented a single image of Africa as an AIDS invested, poverty
stricken, catastrophic country (Adichie, 2009). The TED talk explains that truth is often incomplete, as
stereotypes and single stories are repeated indefinitely until they become accepted as fact. Virtual
algorithms effectively work to craft the illusion that there is only one narrative, as social media users
are entrapped in a filter bubble where they can only see content that aligns with their previously
tracked interests and beliefs (The Economist, 2016). As such, one s entire online world is crafted to
adhere and reinforce their believed truths, yet in reality, the content shown is only a small portion of
reality. When we reject the single story, when we realize that there is never a single story about any
place , Adichie claims, we regain a kind paradise (2009). Thus, For Adichie, the search for truth in a
world filled with untruthful stereotypes is a pursuit for paradise. In other words, exposing truth will set

Dominant Music Elements
What is the dominant element of the music you generally listen to?
For me, I would have to say that the lyrics are the most dominant element of music. Even though
every aspect of music brings a piece together, it is the lyrics that bring about the emotional appeal. The
song Difficult by Eminem is an example of this. Even though the beat itself with the piano makes this
a strong song, it is the lyrics that brings it together. One could argue that the rhythm or melody is the
dominant element of music, but personally I don t like listening to music without vocals. If you listen
to the song Difficult, hopefully you will understand what I mean by brings it together. Not only is he

The Importance Of Taking Risks In Beowulf
De Armas, Albert M. Ascorbe English 4 P.7 10/15/17 The Importance of Taking Risks Beowulf set his
ego aside and hurdled into the face of danger in order to defeat a greater evil and liberate the people of
Heorot from the demonic grasp of Grendel. The crew aboard the Challenger brought America together
and helped us insure the safety of future astronauts. Tom pushed his body to the edge to live the life he
dreamed of. Risks are imperative in life. Even beginning life, they are our instinct. We learn to crawl
despite the bruises on our knees. We learn to walk no matter how many falls we endure. As we
become further aware of the world around us, somewhere along the way, we experience failure; at that
point, many people attempt to eradicate most risks from their life. But where would we be without our
sense of exploration, our willingness to try new things? In order to push one s boundaries, move
forward as a society, and give purpose to life people must be willing to take risks. Beowulf sees the
need of taking risks when he must help his friend across the sea in bringing peace to his land.
Hrothgar s kingdom, Denmark, is being terrorized by the vicious, bloody thirsty demons, Grendel and
his mother. Sailing across the sea, putting his own life at risk for others is an immense risk that can
certainly lead to Beowulf s demise. The Geats, who idolize Beowulf, see this risk but can comprehend
that Beowulf must go as it is the only way to save the Danes Would sail across the sea to

Zimbardo s Prison Experiment
Adrien Brody (Travis) and Forest Whittaker (Michael) star in The Experiment, a film that features a
group of men who have volunteered and been chosen for a psychological experiment. In the
experiment the 26 men are split up into prison guards and inmates. Travis is selected as a prisoner
while Michael is picked to be a guard. A set of strict rules are put into place and if at any time the rules
are broken the experiment is over and the men will not receive their reward of $14,000 for
participating. As the movie progresses things move rather quickly and as most people would probably
assume, guards begin to feel like they re better than the prisoners and have all of the power. This leads
to the humiliation of the prisoners at the hands of the guards. In the final act Travis leads a ... Show

While attempting to stab Travis, Michael pauses seemingly in awe of what he has become and is
tackled to the ground. At this point the red light that signals the end of the experiment comes on and
the men stop the altercation. They exit the facility and are given their rewards and go home. The film
has a striking resemblance to something called Zimbardo s prison experiment . This experiment, like
the film, involves putting a group of individuals into a scenario in an attempt to evaluate effect of the
prison power structure. While there are differences from the actual experiment and the film, the
general storyline is there. Psychological experiment looking into perceived power, dissent between
guards and prisoners, riot, and an early ending to the experiment are all present in the film just like in
real life. In both instances the result was not as expected. In 1973 Zimbardo s experiment ended after
just 6 days rather than the intended 14. Both show that given certain circumstances individuals will
adapt to roles expected of them socially even to the point of extremism. Yet while this may be true,
there is a point in the film where

Chase Andrew Miner Research Paper
It s a boy!! That s what the doctor said when I was born. I was born in Decatur County Hospital in

Chance, but she finally decided on Chase. While that decision wasn t too hard for her to make, (at

One day my aunt, Lori, called my mom and asked about the name Andrew. My mom had thought

Illusions Is An Exhibition At Casa Daros
Illusions is an exhibition at Casa Daros, a gallery dedicated to Latin American contemporary art. The
exhibition explores the idea of illusion and art as illusion (fig. 5), with a focus on artists such as Luis
Camnitzer. The Illusions website explores this theme by creating illusions of space, depth and
movement in a virtual space. The website itself functions as an illusion; although objects and images
fly towards the viewer in a resemblance of the three dimensional, they are still only two dimensional
images in two dimensional space. In comparison to The Curious Gardener, Illusions also uses parallax
scrolling to enable the objects to fly towards and away from the viewer as they scroll through the
website (fig. 6). This gives the user the ability to drive and control the illusions that they are seeing,
becoming an active participator in the exhibition. This use of parallax motion and depth is being used
to innovatively explore objects, ornaments, artworks and furniture, not only in cultural heritage but in
a variety of institutions. A cutting edge example of how parallax scrolling can be used to display
objects is Sony s Be Moved (fig. 7). It is a detailed and technical website that pushes the boundaries of
animation and parallax motion as cameras, laptops and other forms of technical equipment come apart
and are re built as the user scrolls, showing the intricacy and craftsmanship of the objects interiors.

Black Legged Tick Research Paper
Species Profile of the Black Legged Tick (Ixodes scapularis)
Introduction One of the more common pests located in the Northeastern United States is the Black
Legged Tick (Ixodes scapularis). More commonly known as the Deer Tick this animal primarily
inhabits wooded areas populated by warm blooded wildlife. Specifically the temperate Pine Barrens in
Southern New Jersey, which hosts the 2nd largest tick population in the country (CDC, 2010), the
black legged tick is a common pest that spreads lyme disease. This disease is a bacterial infection
caused by the tick latching onto a host and feeding for an extended period of time. These ticks attach

(CDC, 2015) Female ticks will die in the spring when her eggs burst from her body. These eggs will
litter the forest floor and eventually hatch into 6 legged larvae in the summer. These larva then attach
to much smaller mammals, such as field mice or small birds. Ticks spend as long as it takes, usually a
few days at most, finding the perfect spot to latch on and begin feeding. The larva feed for a few days
or until they are full and eventually drop off the host. With their appetite sated, larval ticks will now
prepare for their next stage of life. This occurs over the course of the fall and winter time period as
ticks burrow underground to retain warmth. They emerge in the spring, this time as 8 legged nymphs
and the feeding cycle begins anew. This is also the period where lyme disease becomes an issue.
While feeding on smaller animals, ticks contract the disease and they become carriers. They will
transmit the disease as nymphs. Like the larvae, a nymph attaches to a larger mammal ranging from
squirrels to human beings. Over the course of a few days, the nymph finds a spot to attach and feed.
This happens over Spring and Summer. If they wait too long, the nymph will die of starvation. When
sated once again, the nymph falls to the forest floor and prepares one more to proceed to the next stage
of life. By Autumn, nymphs will have grown into adults. This is one of the more important stages
simply because reproduction can now occur. Females will find a host in order to feed. Males find a
host and a suitable mate. The male, once a mate is found, will fertilize as many females as it possibly
can before dying. The females will continue to feed until they are full and eventually drop off. Once
she is ready to lay eggs in the spring, her body will burst and the eggs distribute along the forest floor

emotional reaction, and the depiction of the movie focus on the concept of outside looking in. The
three main characters are not from the town, which coincides with a lack of having a witness to narrate
the events in Rosewood at the time of the massacre. Using individuals from outside the town provides
a new dimension to the story, because their presence in the town allows the audience to get an idea of
what occurred, but it is not an accurate illustration of the events (D Orso, 74). The variations highlight
the lack of actual evidence, and the use of

Speech For Benevolent Parents
My benevolent parents. First off, I would just like to say thank you. You guys are as unbelievable as a
chicken driving a motorcycle through a hoop on fire. You have given everyone a awe inspiring life and
have given us everything and anything we have ever asked for and desired. You have made my life as
easy as reciting my ABC s. Thank you for giving us the best childhood. Thank you for loving all of us
unconditionally, and loving me a bit more. Thank you also for giving me the proper tools to succeed in
life. Finally, thank you for supporting us throughout our lives and for the continued support in the
future. Now, since in a couple more years I will be heading off to the next big step in my life, college,
I know that both of you guys are going to miss me since I won t be home for long periods of time.
Mom will definitely miss me and call me but Dad will call me like once every week. He is a strong
individual, like father, like son. Since all of this would happen I was thinking that we should expand
our family. However, when I say expand our family I don t mean getting a baby, I mean we should
acquire a Canis lupus familiaris. In laymen s terms, we should procure a German Shepherd. Now, I
understand that you have disliked the topic and will sigh in disbelief that I m bringing it back up.
However, if we were to get a puppy, then I believe it would be good for us. I have brought together
many justifications of why obtaining a pup is helpful. A baby hound gives you company on those
lonely days and a dog s company would be satisfying. Dogs would also help you in making new
friends and getting to know the neighborhood and the people in the neighborhood. Also, getting a big
protective dog, such as a trained German Shepherd would keep you as safe as possible and would risk
its life for you. So you know that dogs are the best pets for you.
You will gain an extra companion. I understand that when I go to college, most of your children will
never be home. I will be at college, and the rest will be working. So when you miss me, because I
know you will, then our kind, and loving dog will be there for you. Getting a dog will also mean that
there will forever be a furry, friendly, playful friend at home. He will always be

Erectile Dysfunction In Young Men
Erectile dysfunction in young men has become a serious issue of concern as many young males are
suffering from this disease and the numbers are increasing on a daily basis. Primarily, erectile
dysfunction was associated with adult men who are above 60 years of age; however, research shows
that this disorder can occur in males at any age. But before taking a deeper look into the subject, let s
focus on what erectile dysfunction actually is.
Erectile dysfunction is simply the inability to sustain an erection of the male sexual organ at the time
of sexual intercourse. As a man, it is very crucial for every young male to experience healthy sex life,
and if due to any reasons this doesn t seem a possible, it can be a major reason for depression ... Show

Lifestyle choices: Most of the young men make unhealthy lifestyle choices and are prone to
developing bad habits like smoking or drinking. Even behavioral issues also affect sexual drive as
well. Not only does the consumption of illicit drugs and intoxicating substances like narcotics or
marijuana is also one of the major reasons behind erectile dysfunction in young men.
Erectile dysfunction is a serious problem that needs to be addressed with optimum care, or else it can
lead to several other health problems as well. This is why proper diagnosis and treatment of this
disease is truly important.
How to diagnose erectile dysfunction in young men?
Proper diagnosis of erectile dysfunction or ED is made by performing certain tests. There are mainly
three significant methods of diagnosis and they are as follows:
Getting to know of patient history: Doctors interview the men prior to the treatment to find certain
answers like
* Is it the lack of libido that s causing the dysfunction or its simply premature ejaculation?
* Whether the patient is suffering from any psychological disorder or any relationship issues or not?
* Patient medical

Spanish American War Benefits
The Spanish American War was the defining moment in modern U.S. history. It began the process by
which the U.S. would establish itself as a world super power . The Spanish American War was known
as the beginning process to the United States establishing itself as a world super power. This would be
the beginning to becoming a strong and powerful Empire. This process to building a powerful Empire
is something that America has built up for hundreds of years. This makes sense because America did
go through a lot before the war even started. All America wanted to do in the first place was build a
canal to connect North and South America for trade. The canal would make Americans life easier for
trading with other countries. Spain did not want ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Cuba was finally free of Spain s control. With Cuba being free of Spain this is when America gets
their benefits. America basically tells Cuba Since we helped you get free of Spain s control, you will
let us build a canal, and that was only one of the benefits America used to get what they wanted with
Cuba. After the war there was a lot of things that needed to be talked about especially with where
Cuba was with being free and/or how was in control of it. These things were going to have to be
worked out with the governments. Other than that the Spanish American war was more about America
starting to gain control and power of an Empire that is still running today and what Americans hope
will keep running for a long time. If you do not look at the Spanish American war as the being of the
process of America gaining power then you probably think that the process could have already started.
For example like when monopolies were controlling America and when the citizens finally got a say
and decided to take down all of those monopolies. Or, you could possibly think that the process had
not started until World War 1 when America got involved and held there own against Germany and the
other countries involved in World War 1. For someone to think that the process of America becoming
an Empire had not started yet is not true is wrong in my opinion, seeing all that America has already
been through and how well it has been keeping up with the other

Summary Of Nehemiah In The Oxford Bible
In relation to the historical background of Nehemiah, in Thru the Bible with J. Vernon McGee. By J.
Vernon McGee, it states that Nehemiah returned to Jerusalem in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the
king. The socio, on the other hand from The Oxford Bible Commentary, with editors John Barton and
John Muddiman, the exiles were under military power.
The literary structure of Nehemiah is a chiastic structure, as it has according to Mark A. Thorntveit s
Ezra Nehemiah Interpretation a Bible Commentary for Teaching and Preaching book, shows the story
following an ABXBA structure with the climax of opposition meaning the people who live around the
ruined Jerusalem did not like that the exiles came back and were building the wall again. The big idea
of this story according to Thorntveit is the narrative is carefully structured in five sections whose main
theme is to record four reports of the destruction of Jerusalem as a reproach against God and the
various responses made to those reports. As the quote says the focus of the story of Nehemiah is the
destruction of Jerusalem (Thorntveit, 62). The need to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem was more of a
symbolic building, according to Editor Marco Conti in Ancient Christian Commentary on Scripture
Old Testament V, 1 2 Kings, 1 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, the wall was rebuilt because the
devil has free entry into the church, as through the walls of a ruined city. In the Oxford Commentary,
the wall was a sign of social and political symbolism. The rebuilding of the wall was significant
because the Jews felt like they had to rebuild Jerusalem and to do that they would also need to rebuild
the wall that was destroyed when Jerusalem was invaded, and the Jewish people were taken into their
exile, for safety. According to David Brisben, author of the book Introduction to Old Testament, the
Jews rebuilt the wall for safety. Everyone wants to feel safe in the city they live in, today we have
police officers and laws. Back then all they had was an army (the strength of the army depended on
the strength of the leader of the kingdom), and walls, so walls were very important to the people of the
Biblical times. In relation to the challenges that attempted

Objective Racism
Objective Racism:
An essay on how segregation affected the USA, and its lingering effect on the nation
The United States of America is one of the best countries in the world. The country considers its start
as a nation to be 1776, and since then, America has stood for freedom all around the world. The USA
has had military supremacy for years; considered one of the only superpowers in the world currently.
Most importantly, however, is that it is a melting pot of different ethnic groups and cultures. Sadly,
most places in America do not contain this important standard of no prejudice. After the Plessy v.
Ferguson case, subtle racism became more abundant throughout the south, and although the
government resolved main problem in the 60 s, racism still abides on both ends today. In 1863,
President Abraham Lincoln issued the emancipation proclamation. This act freed thousands of slaves,
and enacted the abolition of slavery after the north won the Civil War. In turn, legislation passed many
amendments prohibiting any discrimination of blacks. In 1883, the Supreme Court ruled against this
amendment, they ruled that, The 14th Amendment did not give Congress authority to prevent
discrimination by private individuals. So when the states got the power to decide, most states decided
to pass laws known as Jim Crow laws. These laws segregated blacks and whites in almost all ways of
life, from schools to railroad carts. In 1892, Homer Plessy, a mixed man, sat in a white

The Options For Shed Ventilation
The 5 Options for Shed Ventilation in your Shed and the Pros and Cons of Each
Ventilating your shed is important no matter what the time of year. No matter how hard you try to
ignore this simple fact, the reality is that your shed is too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter.
Not sure if this is true, then think about all the times you refused to work in it because of these exact
reasons. Along with temperature, a non ventilated shed leads to a buildup of mildew and chemical
fumes that go a long way towards making you sick. Proper ventilation is the best way to avoid these
problems and many more.
The Problems Associated with Lack of Ventilation
As noted above, there are a number of potentially serious problems associated with not ... Show more

The Stuff in Your Shed: Unless you are a bit odd, you probably use your shed not only as a workspace
but also for storage. Excess heat, cold, and moisture can have a seriously adverse effect on everything
in your shed, ruining much of it. This, of course, will result in your having to spend a fortune
replacing everything that has been damaged.
Your Options for Ventilation
There are a number of different options when it comes to the proper ventilation for your shed. Most of
which can be at least somewhat effective, while others work amazingly well. There are, as you might
expect, several issues you need to take into consideration when trying to decide which type of
ventilation is right for your shed.
It s All about Size
Perhaps one of the most important things you need to think about when trying to decide which of the
different types of shed ventilation is right for you is the size of your shed. For example, a small solar
powered vent might work for a small shed, but would be all but useless in a larger shed. By the same
token, a turbine ventilator is an excellent choice for a large shed but would provide far too much
airflow for a tiny shed.
Is This the Right Choice?
Finding the right type of shed ventilation involves looking at the size of the shed, the materials it is
made from, and what you plan to use it for. At the same time, you need to consider the average high
and low temperatures where

Beethoven and the Classical and Romantic Periods Essay
Out of all of Beethoven s one hundred and ten works, he wrote thirty two piano sonatas. Of those
thirty two piano sonatas, the thirty first piano sonata was one of the most important and was composed
in the year 1821towards the end of Beethoven s life. It is one of Ludwig van Beethoven s final sonatas
for the piano, given the full name: Piano Sonata No. 31 in A flat major, op. 110. I am writing about a
video performance found on YouTube by Richard Goode in 1993. The performance piece is a sonata
which is defined by Kerman as a chamber music piece in several movements (Kerman, 427) The thirty
first sonata came to be in an interesting way. Moritz Schlesinger, in the summer of 1819, had made a
request to Ludwig van Beethoven. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The second movement launches itself at 6:48 in the video. Like the end of the first movement, the
second movement is loud. It is sudden and very, very noticeable. The second movement is also
marked allegro because of the quick, lively tempo that it has. Anyone should be able to easily tell
when the first movement transitions into the second movement. The third movement begins at 8:55
within the video. The third movement is an orderly part of the piece in which two slow sections of
arioso and two fast fugues alternate with one another. This movement begins with an arioso, and you
can tell because the beginning of it is quite slow especially when compared to the fast pace ending of
the second movement.
This sonata is based on two motifs, both of which you can find within the first movement. According
to author Charles Rosen, these two motifs are ascending or descending parallel fourths, and rising or
falling sixths in scale motion (Rosen, 235). The most noticeable of these motifs in the sonata are in the
recapitulation of the first movement and in the opening of the second movement which is expressed
with a six note falling scale motif. The ascending or descending parallel fourth motifs are present in
the main themes of the first movement and the fugue and in the popular theme of the scherzo. The
motifs of the rising sixths can be found in the first movement. The descending motifs which are

All of the characters have similar traits that are towards the theme pride or prejudice and many have
more aspects than others but either way their attributes cannot be ignored. Elizabeth and Jane Bennet
for example, show plenty of their similarities with their prideful actions, but it is Elizabeth who is
being portrayed as the more prejudice one. This shows how she thinks of Mr. Darcy in the beginning
of the novel. At the ball, Mr.Darcy was being unexplainably rude towards dancing with the woman
there, preferably Elizabeth herself. [...] of this she was perfectly unaware; to her he was only the man
who made himself agreeable nowhere; and who had not thought her handsome enough to dance with.
(Austen 18). As for Mr.Darcy he seems to have a preconception with every word that comes out of his

because he was to good for her. In vain I have struggled. It will not do. My feeling will not be

were the Otero family, a family of four. As reported by Juan Ignacio, he did not know these people
before committing the murder which he said was a part of his fantasy. Dennis broke into the family s
house by coming in through the unlocked back door and cutting the phone lines. He confronted the
family at gunpoint and took them into a bedroom. Rader then tied all of them up with rope and
individually suffocated them one by one. He then took the family s car keys and drove away in escape.
After a killing, Dennis was famous for sending letters to the police and local news. His letters
described the specific way of his killings. He would anonymously send multiple letters each with very
specific details of his crimes. According to Steven Singular, his first letter was hidden in an
engineering book in the Wichita Library in 1974. This letter described the murder of the Otero family
in detail. Later in 1978, Rader sent a letter to the KAKE television station claiming he was responsible

What Is The Social Class Status In Pride And Prejudice
Pride and Prejudice A classical, romantic satire set during the Georgian era, Pride and Prejudice, dives
deeper than the surface of love and daily life among upper class English citizens. Pride and Prejudice
was written by Jane Austen in 1797, and published in 1813. Austen wrote the story based on her own
opportunities and experiences as the society she lived in progressed from the Enlightenment to the
Romanticism era. Pride and Prejudice is full of rich historical context. As readers, we are able to
analyze the social class system of the British Regency, how wealth is passed on, and the contrast
between men and women during the era.
Social class was of utmost importance throughout the time the novel was written and published.

She expressed her views through her writing and characters in all of her novels, noticeably in Pride
and Prejudice. Courtship became the most important task of a woman, as it was for all the Bennet
daughters. Once the women married, their most important role was to produce male heirs. By law and
tradition, women could not receive any money or property themselves. All the land and belongings of
the family were required to be in the man s name. It was a law that all women obtained a sum of
money or a dowrie from their families once they got married or their father passed. If the woman
married, which was the only socially acceptable option, she would pass along the money to her
husband. If she remained single, she would use that money and only that money to pay for her living
expenses (¨Historical Context Pride Prejudice¨). In the novel, Elizabeth was close friends with a

Search And Seizure Exceptions . There Are Several Exceptions
Search and seizure exceptions There are several exceptions to the principles of search and seizure. The
plain view doctrine is an exception where evidence that is visible during a police search, even without
a warrant, may be seized. This may be used in situations where a crime is in progress and an officer
enters a residence. Any item within plain view that may be illegal will fall within this exception. It
may also be used during a traffic stop. However, this exception is allowable only for instances when
an officer sees the evidence while also having a legal right to be in the viewing area (Schmalleger,
2014, p. 133). Although, one important case from the Supreme Court, Harris v. United States (1968)
involved an officer who ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This exception comes into play when an officer either conducts a search and/or seizes property based
on the belief that it is within a lawful situation. However, it may later be determined that the search
warrant may be ruled as illegal. If the officer had perceived the search and seizure was being
conducted with reasonable good faith, an exception can exist to the exclusionary rule (Schmalleger,
2014, p. 131). This was determined in the case of United States v. Leon (1984) when the Supreme
Court determined that the officer had performed due diligence in obtaining a warrant, yet it later
proved to be invalid due to lack of probable cause. Instead of applying the fruits of the poisonous tree
doctrine, the court indicated the officer acted in good faith and that an exception was to be enacted.
Exclusionary rule cases The exclusionary rule, handed down by the Supreme Court in 1914, is a court
made constitutional requirement regarding evidence obtained during search and seizure (Walker
Hemmens, 2010, p. 89). Since it is not specified in the fourth amendment, the court used the
exclusionary rule to allow or exclude evidence according to the rules covering search and seizure. The
case that initially brought forth the exclusionary rule was Weeks v. United States. In this case in 1914,
police entered the house of Fremont Weeks twice in the same day, once by using a key they found on
the property and another time

One of the most widely used post workout supplements is a protein shake. The typical whey protein
shake contains twenty four grams of protein. While chocolate milk contains only eight grams. In an
eight ounce glass of chocolate milk there are approximately two hundred calories. A protein shake has
120 calories. A single serving of chocolate milk contains five grams of fat, three of which are saturated
fats. The whey protein shake contains one total gram of fat. Both drinks offer many health benefits
but, as a post workout supplement a protein shake would be the best choice. When it comes to
workout drinks, it is best to look for something with lots of glycogen and protein. The common
exercise routine breaks down muscle mass. The muscles in the human body need protein to remain
firm, and glycogen to replenish the cells within them. Supplements should be consumed two hours
following a workout. Dairy products are not recommended as a replacement for post workout
supplements because they can cause vomiting and diarrhea. Therefore, chocolate milk would not be
the best to use after physical activity. Although many people prefer post workout protein shakes, it
depends on the athlete s preference. Exercise is rigorous and causes the body to loose many
electrolytes through sweat. Powerade and Gatorade are the most common electrolyte replenishing
sports drinks. Although these beverages help to repair the body, they are less helpful than chocolate
milk.

The answer is most decidedly yes. In many people s eyes this affair could have violated the company s code of conduct, and went against the reason Harry Stonecipher was hired. His actions showed flaws in his character that could have been damaging to the company had he been allowed to stay. The Boeing board of directors had no other choice than to tender Mr. Stonecipher s resignation. A scorned wife spoke this in one of Sophocles lost plays. Sophocles has seized the essence of what it means to be a woman in Athens at this time. The crew aboard the Challenger brought America together and helped us insure the safety of future astronauts. Tom pushed his body to the edge to live the life he dreamed of. Risks are imperative in life. Even beginning life, they are our instinct. We learn to crawl despite the bruises on our knees. We learn to walk no matter how many falls we endure. As we become further aware of the world around us, somewhere along the way, we experience failure; at that point, many people attempt to eradicate most risks from their life. But where would we be without our sense of exploration, our willingness to try new things? In order to push one s boundaries, move forward as a society, and give purpose to life people must be willing to take risks. Beowulf sees the need of taking risks when he must help his friend across the sea in bringing peace to his land. The exhibition explores the idea of illusion and art as illusion (fig. 5), with a focus on artists such as Luis Camnitzer. The Illusions website explores this theme by creating illusions of space, depth and movement in a virtual space. The website itself functions as an illusion; although objects and images fly towards the viewer in a resemblance of the three dimensional, they are still only two dimensional images in two dimensional space. In comparison to The Curious Gardener, Illusions also uses parallax scrolling to enable the objects to fly towards and away from the viewer as they scroll through the website (fig. 6). This gives the user the ability to drive and control the illusions that they are seeing, becoming an active participator in the exhibition. This use of parallax motion and depth is being used to innovatively explore objects, ornaments, artworks and furniture, not only in cultural heritage but in a variety of institutions. A cutting edge example of how parallax scrolling can be used to display objects is Sony s Be Moved (fig. 7). (CDC, 2015) Female ticks will die in the spring when her eggs burst from her body. These eggs will litter the forest floor and eventually hatch into 6 legged larvae in the summer. These larva then attach to much smaller mammals, such as field mice or small birds. Ticks spend as long as it takes, usually a few days at most, finding the perfect spot to latch on and begin feeding. The larva feed for a few days or until they are full and eventually drop off the host. With their appetite sated, larval ticks will now prepare for their next stage of life. This occurs over the course of the fall and winter time period as ticks burrow underground to retain warmth. They emerge in the spring, this time as 8 legged nymphs and the feeding cycle begins anew. This is also the period where lyme disease becomes an issue. While feeding on smaller animals, ticks contract the disease and they become carriers. They will transmit the disease as nymphs. Like the larvae, a nymph attaches to a larger mammal ranging from squirrels to human beings. Over the course of a few days, the nymph finds a spot to attach and feed. This happens over Spring and Summer. If they wait too long, the nymph will die of starvation. When sated once again, the nymph falls to the forest floor and prepares one more to proceed to the next stage of life. By Autumn, nymphs will have grown into adults. This is one of the more important stages simply because reproduction can now occur. Females will find a host in order to feed. Males find a host and a suitable mate. The male, once a mate is found, will fertilize as many females as it possibly can before dying. The females will continue to feed until they are full and eventually drop off. The movie illustrates a high level of carnage in the town, and the use of KKK, which is not accurate according to historical facts. It demonstrates the producers attempt to create the element of dramatization, and the emotional effect of the movie. In truth, there is a lot of fabrication of the story; however, the producer applies some elements of the true story that occurred in Rosewood. Based on the movie, the main aim was to provide a movie that is emotionally moving which affects racial affiliation in terms black or white (Gannon, 61). Some of the scenes focus on the emotional reaction, and the depiction of the movie focus on the concept of outside looking in. The three main characters are not from the town, which coincides with a lack of having a witness to narrate the events in Rosewood at the time of the massacre. • 23. Summary Of Nehemiah In The Oxford Bible In relation to the historical background of Nehemiah, in Thru the Bible with J. Vernon McGee. By J. Vernon McGee, it states that Nehemiah returned to Jerusalem in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king. The socio, on the other hand from The Oxford Bible Commentary, with editors John Barton and John Muddiman, the exiles were under military power. The literary structure of Nehemiah is a chiastic structure, as it has according to Mark A. Thorntveit s Ezra Nehemiah Interpretation a Bible Commentary for Teaching and Preaching book, shows the story following an ABXBA structure with the climax of opposition meaning the people who live around the ruined Jerusalem did not like that the exiles came back and were building the wall again. The big idea of this story according to Thorntveit is the narrative is carefully structured in five sections whose main theme is to record four reports of the destruction of Jerusalem as a reproach against God and the various responses made to those reports. As the quote says the focus of the story of Nehemiah is the destruction of Jerusalem (Thorntveit, 62). The need to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem was more of a symbolic building, according to Editor Marco Conti in Ancient Christian Commentary on Scripture Old Testament V, 1 2 Kings, 1 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, the wall was rebuilt because the devil has free entry into the church, as through the walls of a ruined city. In the Oxford Commentary, the wall was a sign of social and political symbolism. The rebuilding of the wall was significant because the Jews felt like they had to rebuild Jerusalem and to do that they would also need to rebuild the wall that was destroyed when Jerusalem was invaded, and the Jewish people were taken into their exile, for safety. According to David Brisben, author of the book Introduction to Old Testament, the Jews rebuilt the wall for safety. Everyone wants to feel safe in the city they live in, today we have police officers and laws. The Stuff in Your Shed: Unless you are a bit odd, you probably use your shed not only as a workspace but also for storage. Excess heat, cold, and moisture can have a seriously adverse effect on everything in your shed, ruining much of it. This, of course, will result in your having to spend a fortune replacing everything that has been damaged. Your Options for Ventilation There are a number of different options when it comes to the proper ventilation for your shed. Most of which can be at least somewhat effective, while others work amazingly well. There are, as you might expect, several issues you need to take into consideration when trying to decide which type of ventilation is right for your shed. It s All about Size Perhaps one of the most important things you need to think about when trying to decide which of the different types of shed ventilation is right for you is the size of your shed. For example, a small solar powered vent might work for a small shed, but would be all but useless in a larger shed. By the same token, a turbine ventilator is an excellent choice for a large shed but would provide far too much airflow for a tiny shed. Is This the Right Choice? Finding the right type of shed ventilation involves looking at the size of the shed, the materials it is made from, and what you plan to use it for. At the same time, you need to consider the average high and low temperatures where ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 26. Beethoven and the Classical and Romantic Periods Essay Out of all of Beethoven s one hundred and ten works, he wrote thirty two piano sonatas. Of those thirty two piano sonatas, the thirty first piano sonata was one of the most important and was composed in the year 1821towards the end of Beethoven s life. It is one of Ludwig van Beethoven s final sonatas for the piano, given the full name: Piano Sonata No. 31 in A flat major, op. 110. I am writing about a video performance found on YouTube by Richard Goode in 1993. The performance piece is a sonata which is defined by Kerman as a chamber music piece in several movements (Kerman, 427) The thirty first sonata came to be in an interesting way. Moritz Schlesinger, in the summer of 1819, had made a request to Ludwig van Beethoven. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The second movement launches itself at 6:48 in the video. Like the end of the first movement, the second movement is loud. It is sudden and very, very noticeable. The second movement is also marked allegro because of the quick, lively tempo that it has. Anyone should be able to easily tell when the first movement transitions into the second movement. The third movement begins at 8:55 within the video. The third movement is an orderly part of the piece in which two slow sections of arioso and two fast fugues alternate with one another. This movement begins with an arioso, and you can tell because the beginning of it is quite slow especially when compared to the fast pace ending of the second movement. This sonata is based on two motifs, both of which you can find within the first movement. According to author Charles Rosen, these two motifs are ascending or descending parallel fourths, and rising or falling sixths in scale motion (Rosen, 235). The most noticeable of these motifs in the sonata are in the recapitulation of the first movement and in the opening of the second movement which is expressed with a six note falling scale motif. The ascending or descending parallel fourth motifs are present in the main themes of the first movement and the fugue and in the popular theme of the scherzo. The motifs of the rising sixths can be found in the first movement. The descending motifs which are similar ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

All of the characters have similar traits that are towards the theme pride or prejudice and many have more aspects than others but either way their attributes cannot be ignored. Elizabeth and Jane Bennet for example, show plenty of their similarities with their prideful actions, but it is Elizabeth who is being portrayed as the more prejudice one. This shows how she thinks of Mr. Darcy in the beginning of the novel. At the ball, Mr.Darcy was being unexplainably rude towards dancing with the woman there, preferably Elizabeth herself. [...] of this she was perfectly unaware; to her he was only the man who made himself agreeable nowhere; and who had not thought her handsome enough to dance with. (Austen 18). As for Mr.Darcy he seems to have a preconception with every word that comes out of his mouth. Even when he confesses his love to Elizabeth he tells her he did not want to confess his love because he was to good for her. In vain I have struggled. It will not do. She expressed her views through her writing and characters in all of her novels, noticeably in Pride and Prejudice. Courtship became the most important task of a woman, as it was for all the Bennet daughters. Once the women married, their most important role was to produce male heirs. By law and tradition, women could not receive any money or property themselves. All the land and belongings of the family were required to be in the man s name. It was a law that all women obtained a sum of money or a dowrie from their families once they got married or their father passed. If the woman married, which was the only socially acceptable option, she would pass along the money to her husband. If she remained single, she would use that money and only that money to pay for her living expenses (¨Historical Context Pride Prejudice¨). • 33. Search And Seizure Exceptions . There Are Several Exceptions Search and seizure exceptions There are several exceptions to the principles of search and seizure. The plain view doctrine is an exception where evidence that is visible during a police search, even without a warrant, may be seized. This may be used in situations where a crime is in progress and an officer enters a residence. Any item within plain view that may be illegal will fall within this exception. It may also be used during a traffic stop. However, this exception is allowable only for instances when an officer sees the evidence while also having a legal right to be in the viewing area (Schmalleger, 2014, p. 133). This exception comes into play when an officer either conducts a search and/or seizes property based on the belief that it is within a lawful situation. However, it may later be determined that the search warrant may be ruled as illegal. If the officer had perceived the search and seizure was being conducted with reasonable good faith, an exception can exist to the exclusionary rule (Schmalleger, 2014, p. 131). This was determined in the case of United States v. Leon (1984) when the Supreme Court determined that the officer had performed due diligence in obtaining a warrant, yet it later proved to be invalid due to lack of probable cause. Instead of applying the fruits of the poisonous tree doctrine, the court indicated the officer acted in good faith and that an exception was to be enacted. Exclusionary rule cases The exclusionary rule, handed down by the Supreme Court in 1914, is a court made constitutional requirement regarding evidence obtained during search and seizure (Walker Hemmens, 2010, p. 89). Since it is not specified in the fourth amendment, the court used the exclusionary rule to allow or exclude evidence according to the rules covering search and seizure. The case that initially brought forth the exclusionary rule was Weeks v. United States.
