The Austin Generation Resource Planning Task Force met on September 9, 2009 from 3-7pm at City Hall. They heard a presentation on risk analysis of portfolio scenarios from Pace Consulting. Task force members requested additional information and analysis of scenarios including more renewable energy and demand-side management. They also discussed information requests, approving some for further analysis and not approving others. Future agenda items were identified including a low-income housing presentation and further discussion of scenario analysis.
Logical Solutions Data Center
The data center was built in 2008 and is a high availability, state-of-the-art facility designed to meet colocation, hosting, managed services, and disaster recovery needs. It has redundant power, cooling, security, and fiber network infrastructure to ensure reliability. The data center has over 6,000 square feet of raised floor space with large cabinets, biometric security access, IP surveillance, and fire suppression.

Under new business, the task force discussed submitting new scenarios to be evaluated and approved an information request regarding Austin's Fayette Power Project legal contracts. Their next meeting was scheduled for September 23rd.
