5. how important of doing physical activity in one’s health?
LET US LEARN!
At the end of the 1 hour session the grade 11 students will be able
to:
▪ a) identify locomotor, non-locomotor skills and manipulative
skills;
▪ b) perform the locomotor, non-locomotor skills and
manipulative skills;
▪ c) create one (1) healthy habit by following the 3r’s (Remind,
Routine, Reward)
▪ d) actively participate during class session .
LET US LEARN!
The teacher will group the students into 3, they will perform the 3
locomotor skills, 3 non-locomotor and 3 manipulative skills that
they know. The students will be given 10 minutes to practice by
group they will have at least 2 min and a max. of 2 min to perform.
The students will be rated by a rubric.

eye coordination, spatial awareness, and precision in movement.
By understanding and practicing these different types of skills, individuals can develop a wide range of physical abilities
and become more proficient in various activities, sports, and games.
using this topic create questions using higher order thinking skills that will be asked by a g11 teacher to g11 students
Locomotor Skills:
Locomotor skills are movements that enable an individual to move through space from one place to another. These
skills involve the transfer of weight and the use of body parts to propel oneself in different directions and at various
speeds. Locomotor skills form the foundation for physical activities such as walking, running, jumping, hopping, and
skipping.
Examples of locomotor skills include:
Walking: Moving forward in a smooth and coordinated manner, alternating steps between the left and right foot.
Running: Moving at a faster pace with a continuous pattern of steps and increased propulsion.
Jumping: Propelling oneself off the ground using both feet and landing on both feet or one foot.
Hopping: Moving on one foot, repeatedly pushing off and landing on the same foot.
Skipping: A combination of a step-hop movement pattern, alternating between feet in a rhythmic manner.
Galloping: A series of steps, with one foot leading and the other foot following, often seen in dance or sports activities.
Locomotor skills are fundamental for physical development, spatial awareness, and overall body coordination. They
are commonly taught and practiced in physical education classes and sports training.
1. What is a locomotor skill, non- locomotor skill, manipulative skill?
2. When is a locomotor skill, non- locomotor skill, manipulative skill
usually observed?
3. How do they differ from one another?
4. Why are these fundamental movement relevant to one’s health?
5. How can we maximize our movement in our daily life?
6. In your own idea expound this sentence
“Getting the federally recommended amount of activity can reduce the risk of
early death-but boosting activity higher can further reduce the risk” according
to a study co-authored by Harvard T.H. Chan School Of Public Health’s Dong
Hoon Lee ”
7. What habits do you want to do to improve your daily life?

next match this october, so sparring is important to
simulate a real fight that’s why gloves is essential as
to avoid injury and boost his technicality in punching
his opponent in the upcoming fight, what

These skills involve the transfer of weight and the use of body parts to propel oneself in different directions and at various speeds. Locomotor skills form the foundation for physical activities such as walking, running, jumping, hopping, and skipping. Examples of locomotor skills include: Walking: Moving forward in a smooth and coordinated manner, alternating steps between the left and right foot. They are commonly taught and practiced in physical education classes and sports training.
