shifts in time, and the use of short phrases, so it goes to convey the idea of lack of sorrow for the
death and ability to tell what s going to happen in the future due to flashbacks in order to show the

Revolution was interested in the rehabilitation of prostitutes as a metaphor for the rehabilitation of
Cuba. I Am Cuba explains the need for revolution in Cuba. The film captures the political
oppression and the large disparity in wealth and power experienced by the people under the
dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista prior to the Revolution. In one scene, it portrays the foreign
contribution to the prostitution and poverty epidemic in Havana. The American tourists degrade

normalities that are prevalent in modern society have made substantial changes over time. What
one may think is proper and acceptable in a society may be completely different to someone else.
Many things have caused this societal difference. Particularly, the use of literary works to show
different societies in related time periods has constantly shaped thoughts over this controversial
topic. From poems, to short stories, to even plays, the use of literary works to show societal issues
has become increasingly normalized. The Bear, A Joke in One Act is a one act play written by
Anton Chekhov that explores many societal issues, as well as A Dollhouse written by Henry
Ibsen. The authors choice of literary elements, and the portrayal of contentment versus
happiness, helps to shape both plays and abets each ending with a mutual theme that becomes

People who have been exposed to Agent Orange can suffer from certain cancers like soft tissue
sarcoma, non Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), Hodgkin disease, and even chronic lymphocytic leukemia
(CLL).
Agent Orange was first introduced in 1961 six years after the Vietnam war began and is made up
of a mixture of two herbicides, 2,4,5 Trichlorophenoxyacetic acid and 2,4 Dichlorophenoxyacetic
acid. Both chemicals cause gene damage which is why most offspring of the people exposed have
birth defects. Once it has gotten into the body, it attached to a protein called the aryl hydrocarbon
receptor, where it then influences gene expression. It also contains 2,3,7,8
Tetrachlorodibenzodioxin, which is considered the most toxic and even classified as a human

The staff stressed the feeling of being uncomfortable with ordering the students about. This would
suggest it is something they are not used to (Field notes, 4th June, 2014).
Because many staff within this setting have worked with children for many years. There is still a

Dido s Lament , choreographed by Mark Morris, is an emotional dance theatre piece that
illustrates the tale of Queen Dido, a character from the opera Dido and Aeneas, who prepares to
commit suicide after feeling betrayed by Aeneas, a man with whom she fell in love with. Because
the character that Morris is portraying is preparing to commit suicide due to being heartbroken,
Morris wanted to translate this tragic and moving concept of suicide through not only his
movement phrases, but through the dark setting created onstage by the performers as well. As the
