its guiding concepts; and

KARL MARX
• Proponent of Marxism.
• Karl Marx (1818–1883) is commonly seen as a
revolutionary and activist rather than solely a
philosopher. His works inspired the
establishment of many communist regimes in
the twentieth century.
• He published (with Friedrich Engels)
Manifest der Kommunistischen Partei
(1848), commonly known as The
Communist Manifesto, the most
celebrated pamphlet in the history of
the socialist movement.

  • 10. KARL MARX • Proponent of Marxism. • Karl Marx (1818–1883) is commonly seen as a revolutionary and activist rather than solely a philosopher. His works inspired the establishment of many communist regimes in the twentieth century.
