This document discusses learning scenarios and communication in learning. It describes synchronous communication like face-to-face interactions and chat rooms, and asynchronous communication like forums and blogs. It also discusses gaining actionable insights from data on learning patterns of behavior, targeted interventions, benchmarking staff and students, retention, activity design, and system design to better understand where, what, when, why, who, and how learning takes place.
