June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

new competitions like IPhone from Apple that introduced smartphones, along with Android by

101982 workers across 120 countries along with sales in more than 150 countries, and the reports for
revenue were around 30€ billion. Nokia was announced to be the second largest world for mobiles

Online Education
Education is an important part of people s lives; it will either make them or break them in the future
depending on the careers they choose. Education is greatly diverse today in comparison to the 1950s
because of advancements in teaching and other great inventions that provide easier techniques of
teaching. One major issue that has been raised is distant learning courses and online education. Distant
learning could be any format from VHS videos, DVDs, or internet courses online. Online education
has been legal since 1993 and is a new way of teaching students of all ages. Online education has been

Discussion on issues is done in chat rooms and forums where everybody writes their views on the
issue. This is an advantage for foreigners who can not speak proper English correctly. Live video and
sound can also be done with special equipment for a real time conversation with instructors and peers.
Other features on the online courses are the learning aides that can be used while taking the course.
Certain programs can be made such as flash cards and games which can increase the learning
experience of the student. These learning aides can be done on the student s time and does not require
the teacher to be there.
Time for a face to face class is very difficult if a person works 40 hours a week but an online course
can put an ease on the time restriction because the person does the work at their own pace and time. It
is also easier to sign up for an online class than a class at a college. Message boards are in use if the
students need to leave a question or a comment about the subject their on. They also save time by not
traveling to the college and trying to find a parking space.
Rural areas where students have to travel a great distance to get to class can save time and money by
doing online classes. For example, a child of a farmer can help the family out in the morning with the
farming chores then go to an online class later on. Rural kids may also take additional educational

4. Stewardship As A Whole Function
Stewardship in Nursing
Andreas Munk
The concept of stewardship is an ongoing part of nursing. As defined by Merriam Webster dictionary,
stewardship is the activity or job of protecting and being responsible for something. In this case that
something corresponds to the nursing field as a whole. The concept of stewardship is not thought of as
often as it should be. Sometimes stewardship can be confused with religious meanings or often is
simply not a topic that is heavily weighted. However stewardship is indeed an intricate concept that is
vital for the overall success of nursing. I believe stewardship in nursing is the ability to improve,
enhance, and oversee the prosperity of how nursing as a whole functions. Stewardship entails many
areas of concern such as safety, increased autonomy from other health care professions, accreditation,
economics, and most importantly the overall needs of the patient. As nursing s future continues to
change, stewardship is vital in developing life long learning practices and ultimately shaping current
and future leaders. In order for standards of practice to support the future, nurse leaders demonstrating
stewardship must be able to collaborate to form innovative models of care delivery in order to best
serve the patient and work efficiently within the health care system. In this paper I will be discussing
what defines stewardship and why it is important in nursing. Next, current issues involving
stewardship in

5. The Crusades Of The Middle Ages
During the Middle Ages, there was a series of seven wars that lasted seven centuries known as the
Crusades. Each Crusader Army had one major goal: to recapture Jerusalem from the Seljuk Turks, the
land where Jesus had been crucified. Historical narratives often depict the first Crusaders as warriors
and religious heroes because they succeeded in temporarily recapturing the Holy Land. While the
Second Crusade depicted the crusaders as a mass failure when they lost the land they were protecting,
the third crusade portrayed them as religious heroes once again, when Richard the Lionheart almost
captured the Holy Land again. However, the Fourth Crusade shattered all hopes of recapturing
Jerusalem. The Roman Catholic people had high expectations for the war, but it ended horribly when
the crusaders attacked their own allies in Constantinople. This tragedy was a major turning point
during these wars because it changed how the crusaders were viewed. The failure of the 4th crusaders
forces historians to wonder how a well trained army failed to attack their enemies and instead attacked
the very people they wanted to protect. When one examines the issues encountered by the crusaders,
the greediness of the Venetians, the political struggles of Constantinople, and the spread of Greek
cultures, one can better understand the cause and effect of the Fourth crusade.
The war began in a rush by the new young and ambitious pope, Innocent the Third who was
overshadowed by his dream to succeed

Lean production is an assembly line methodology developed originally for Toyota and the

There are two major pillars of lean production system. One is Just in Time system and other is
Kaizen. Just in Time System was developed as a result of adoption and adaptation of Mass
Production Techniques. Kaizen is a lean manufacturing tool that improves quality, productivity, safety,

8. New Religious Movements In Japan During The 19th And 20th...
During the 19th and 20th century, Japan experienced a huge explosion of new religions movements.
These movements in turn helped shape the way many Japanese perceived religiousness. Shinshukyo is
a term used by Japanese to describe new religious movements. This title is veered towards religious
organizations founded since the 18th century. Many of these New Religions are greatly influenced by
older traditional religions such as Buddhism and Hinduism. Although many view these new religions
as cults, it is the complete opposite; they are non violent or rebellious. The rises of these new religions
are credited by social factors such as economic depression in the 1920 s, and the period after World
War II, in which Japan was occupied and struggling to recover. The following is a short list and
descriptions of new religions that rose in Japan. Soka Gakkai, whose name literally means value

Japan because of Japan s unique approach to religion. Because Japan heavily practices in syncretism it
allows its people to practice these new religions while still staying under the umbrella of the big three,
Shinto, Buddhism, and Christianity, which in turn explains their popularity. It s almost like being in

Archetypal heroes play the leading role in many new and old pieces of literature. Main characters

displays the characteristics of an archetypal hero because he was born three parts god, had Enkidu to
help him along the way; along with the gods help, and goes on a quest to obtain immortality.
Gilgamesh is considered a hero because he has unique abilities that no human could possess. During

Furthermore, his lack of understanding goes to show, he argues, that computers do not understand

After his graduation from Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, young Miller worked as a stock
clerk in an automobile parts warehouse for two and a half years until he had enough money to pay for
his first year at the University of Michigan. He finished college with the financial aid of the National
Youth Administration supplemented by his salary as night editor on the Michigan Daily newspaper.
Before his graduation with a BA degree in 1938, he had written a number of plays, winning a $500
Avery Hopwood Award in 1936 and a $1,200 Theater Guild National Award in 1938 for an effort
entitled The Grass Still Grows. Then, having returned to New York in 1938, he joined the Federal
Theater Project. But, before his first play had been produced, the Project ended. Dismayed and
setback, he went to work in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Here he wrote radio scripts that were later heard
in the Columbia Workshop and on the Calvacade of America. He also wrote two books during this

unfavorable reception disheartened Miller, and he decided he would write one more play. If that were

15. Between The Letters Of Abelard And Heloise And The...
When Students first enter a history class, they come in with a basic understanding of how much the
world has changed over the time of human existence. The students really feel like the world has
changed from it first started out to be, but when their class takes them into a small time period to see
how much changes happens in a little amount of time, it changes things. It s really astonishing how
much change happens in a minimal amount of time, that is often looked over when looking at a larger
time period. Changes do not come in small packages, change normally comes in a bundle along with
lots of other change. The change that I be looking at is between The Letters of Abelard and Heloise
and the Sixteenth Century martyrs. Among those changes are; the role of religious practices, the role
of the Bible, and the role of women and families.
During the time period that The Letters of Abelard and Heloise, the main religious power was the
catholic church. Most of Europe were catholic and followed the Pope s guidance. Going alongside the
Pope and the catholic church, there were monks and nuns. Monks and nuns practiced abstinence, as
long as not being able to get married. When a citizen thought that they have wronged God, then they
felt like they had to join a monastery. The belief was that it would bring you closer to God because of
their devotion the church. Religion was even see in the education that the rich received. During the

16. How Did Hannah Baker Commit Suicide In Thirteen Reasons Why
Hannah Baker, the main character of the novel Thirteen Reasons Why, committed suicide and left
behind 13 tapes. Each tape contained a name and an explanation as to why Hannah felt they enabled
her suicide. These tapes were bestowed amongst each person she believed had a negative effect on her
life and how they lead other events to occur. Though, many of her reasons why did not give her an
excuse to end her life. Due to what Hannah believed to be traumatizing events these few people put
her through, Hannah Baker had a dangerously low self esteem that lead her to commit suicide. The
first few reasons stated were a bit absurd to have lead to something as dramatic as a suicide. For
example, the very first person mentioned in the tapes was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

difficult to trust anyone, even someone who was truly there for her. If Hannah would have truly
opened up to Clay and discussed the difficulties she was having, she could have escaped her dark
temptation to commit suicide. Staying with Clay could have also allowed Hannah to avoid future

17. Bystanders As A Bystander In Joseph Conrad s Heart Of...
In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends (King, n.d.).
King s (n.d.) statement demonstrates the major internal impact bystanders can have on others. As a
matter of fact, most people do not think about the possible long term effects of not standing up for
someone or something. Although it may not seem like a big deal to one person, it could be life
changing to another. Many just consider a bystander to be someone who is present at an incident and
doesn t take action, but there is actually much more to it. The term bystander can be defined as
someone who is present during corruption, does not speak up, and seems not to care about others.
By definition, a bystander must be present during an act of corruption, hence the word. If they are not
present, they do not have the choice to be a bystander or not since they have no idea what happened.
In the novel, Heart of Darkness, Marlow can definitely be considered a bystander, especially since he
was present during the corruption involving the Congo people. For example, Marlow has already been
to the Congo and has seen the terrible events happening to the people there. And this also, said
Marlow suddenly, has been one of the dark places of the earth (Conrad, 1990, p. 5). Despite the
terrible actions against those in the Congo, Marlow decides to go back to try and civilize them in the
midst of all the corruption. Now, a modern day example of being present during an act of

Technology has affected all aspects of life and the criminal justice system is no exception. There are
so many ways where technology has been incorporated in the criminal justice and police departments
that I really do not know where to start. The invention of the lie detector test was huge in my opinion.
It can be given in the criminal justice system to try to get to the bottom of the truth. In police
departments you have the use of closed circuit televisions for property security, cameras in police
units, tape recorders used in police units and when conducting investigations and so forth.

In my opinion this is an excellent technological advancement that saves time and improves accuracy.
Facial recognition technology makes use of unalterable features of a face, such as the distance
between the centers of the pupils of the eye. It then uses an algorithm, a finite set of steps for solving a
problem, which converts the image to numbers . Weiss, Davis (2004)
Live scan is a fingerprint system that can be used in the criminal justice system and also for non
criminal justice use. Most law enforcement departments require all officers to be fingerprinted using
live scan technology. Once an officer is fingerprinted, his or her records are sent into varies databases.
The officers are required to be free of a criminal background so the prints are checks for previous
crimes. The prints are then sent to Sacramento (California) to various departments for processing such
as BSIC which is the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. Because live scan is inkless it
saves paper and time because it s electronic which is better for the environment and more convenient
for law enforcement agencies. When a criminal is arrested his or her fingerprints are taken with the
live scan system and cross referenced for a match in a number of systems including the FBI. If there is
a match then the information is sent to the police department which includes the suspect s weight,
height, sex, and date of birth.

How a Leader Should React to a Crisis A good leader should hold a meeting to figure out what went

temerity to exhibit a courteous, conscientious and generally businesslike manner in the workplace is
the attributes labeled as a professional. In retrospect, we have set a standard in the course of learning

younger women were sent to maternity homes for mothers who were unwed, and their children were

31. Sustainability For New And Existing Hospitality Assets
The concept of sustainability has gained momentum in recent years within the global investment
community resulting in significant financial implications for new and existing hospitality assets.
As we outline in this journal, the roots of environmentalism and sustainability in the hospitality sector
became evident over half a century ago, when a few enterprising hoteliers realized they could provide
an enhanced guest experience by integrating natural elements into the resort experience. In the years
that followed, factors such as increasing regulation and rising utility costs encouraged hotel owners
and managers to adopt a number of environmental best practices. We have observed a remarkable shift
in investor sentiment in recent times, as evidenced by the establishment of numerous corporate social
responsibility (CSR) programs, as well as the prevalence of green building programs for new
development projects.
The past several decades have seen a growing awareness amongst hoteliers and investors regarding
the environmental and social impacts of hotel development and operations to the extent where
sustainability issues have permeated nearly every aspect of the hospitality industry. This has been
driven by multiple factors including owners and operators desires to reduce operational costs,

33. Zora Neale Hurston Influences
I am not tragically colored. There is no great sorrow dammed up in my soul....I do not belong to that
sobbing school of Negrohood who hold that nature somehow has given them a lowdown dirty
deal....No, I do not weep at the world I am too busy sharpening my oyster knife ( Zora Neale Hurston,
2009). One woman wrote stories focused on the lives and relationships of black people within their
communities. In many of Zora Neale Hurston s written works, she incorporated her beliefs, race,
culture, and personal experiences. Hurston included feminism as well as pride of her race in her
literary works to combat issues such as sexism and racism.
Growing up, Zora Neale Hurston was surrounded by a religious and creative black culture.
Throughout her childhood, Hurston spent quite a bit of time at a general store owned by Joe Clark. On
the porch of the store, many tales were told and songs were sung, and Hurston credits the adult lying
sessions on Joe Clark s store porch in Eatonville for giving her important insights into the nature of
human behavior ( Zora Neale Hurston, 1992). By the stories and lies told at Clark s store, it seems to
be the main influence to Hurston s writing genre and style. Without the stories ... Show more content

Hurston divorced two men because her writing was more important. Hurston would not give up her
craze of folklore writing, Many of Hurston s biographers say she was at first passionately in love with
both of her husbands, but that love was not enough to replace her passion for studying the folkways of
blacks and her desire to succeed as a creative writer ( Zora Neale Hurston, 1992). It seems to be that
Hurston s experiences with love sets up her theme of feminism by showing the example of following
her passions instead of a man, and furthermore, she implies how women and men are equal in
qualities, strengths, and

34. Organ Systems And The Nervous System Essay
The six main organ systems in the human body are the nervous system, cardiovascular system,
endocrine system, digestive system, skeletal system and the reproductive system.
Nervous System
There are two parts to the nervous system which are: the central nervous system and the peripheral
nervous system. The central nervous system includes the brain and spinal cord and some nerves,
whereas the peripheral nervous system includes all the other nerves and it carries information to the
central nervous system and also from it. The central nervous acts as the central control region of the
human nervous system. The CNS processes information and issues commands around the body. The
autonomic nervous system is the command network the CNS uses to maintain the body s homeostasis.
It regulates heartbeat and controls muscle contractions in the walls of blood vessels, digestive, urinary,
and reproductive tracts. It also carries messages that help stimulate glands to secrete tears, mucus, and
digestive enzymes.
Central nervous system
A response to a stimulus is coordinated by its central nervous system (CNS). The CNS consists of the
brain and the spinal cord. It gathers information about, and responds to, changes in the environment.
Receptors detect a stimulus and send impulses along sensory neurons to the CNS. The CNS
coordinates the information and sends impulses along motor neurons to the effectors, which bring
about a response.
The sequence of a response is:

35. The Japanese Internment Movement
According to the Japanese internment background, after Pearl Harbor was bombed, Japanese
Americans were broken down into several categories based on how far the generation was separated
from Japanese citizenship. I disagree because the movement was wrong, they didn t give any sort of
education for the children for at least one or two years. There weren t enough doctors or medicine to
take care of the people s needs. Once the war was over many people were released from the camp and
did not have homes to return to because theirs were destroyed or taken over by strangers. I disagree
with the movement because they didn t give any sort of education for the children until about 2 years
later. What kind of treatment is that? Not giving

36. Social Development And Journey Towards Autonomy
In 2009, I decided I wanted to be on birth control, even though I did not fully know my body or
complete family history. Soon after, I suffered from a Pulmonary Embolism, a blood clot in my lung.
The shortness of breath and severe agonizing chest pains were almost too horrible to bare. My life
almost came to a screeching halt. It was then I found out my family suffered from a genetic disorder
and my mother realized we needed more open communication. Having open communication with in
the family positively influenced our family structure, in ways I could never have imagined. Now I felt
safe and secure in asking my mother everything; sex, love, school, whatever it be. Parent and child
relationships are a key factor in an adolescences social development and journey towards autonomy.
Our textbook, Exploring Lifespan development (Berk, 2010), states that teenagers still need guidance
and protection from dangerous situations. In diverse ethnic groups and cultures, warm, supportive
parenting that grants young people freedom to explore while making appropriate demands for maturity
fosters autonomy, [...] favorable self esteem, and ease of separation in the transition to college (p.
329). Open discussion with the family and adequate education are necessary to helping adolescents
achieve a high standard of sexual education and autonomy. It is at this point in my life that I met my,
now husband, Joseph. Before writing my paper, I put together my video photo collage and after

37. Euthanasia Programs of Nazi Germany Essay
On the first of September, 1939 World War II began. Hitler is in power of Nazi Germany and is
wanting to cleanse the German people of racially unsound elements. He enacts a program that will aim
to eliminate the so called lives unworthy of life called the T4 program (History Place). Over the next
six years throughout Germany, many people are experimenting with and euthanized to help Nazi
Germany reach a pure state. Was this program that was enacted ethical and what has happened since
then to stop something like this from happening again? What kind of medical advances and data did
we achieve from it and is it ethical today to use what they learned in today s medical trials? The T4
program was not the beginning of Germany s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Through the implementation of the law an estimated 350,000 people were sterilized between the years
of 1933 and 1939. The shortage of labor helped attribute to the decline where they would deem you
useful if you were able to work and thus were exempted from the law from 1933. The war has started
and hospital space that was being used by the sick and disabled was needed for wounded soldiers from
the war. They did not want to have to feed and sustain those that were not useful to the war efforts.
Hitler, because of this problem started to endorse the usage of mercy killing of people that were sick
or disabled. (History Place) This is how the T4 program came around and even though it was signed in
October of 1939 Hitler backdated the document to September to make it look that it was a wartime
measure. The program was coordinated by fifty physicians that volunteered to do the killings. The
main headquarters for this program was located in a villa in Berlin located at number 4 Tiergarten
Street thus the name T4. (Georgetown) The program operated the same as the Law for the Prevention
of Progeny with Hereditary Diseases but also would include those that were in institutions for more
than five years, were criminally insane, or did not possess German citizenship. (History Place) The
way the program would work is they sent out questionnaires out to mental institutions, hospitals and
other institutions caring for the chronically ill. (History Place) Based

38. New York University Observation Report
Since childhood I ve had a huge fascination with the world, most importantly, how it interacted with
the different cultures and communities. Exploration of the world was a key value of mine and the tales
of New York City were fascinating: a place where various cultures and ethnicities collided, blending
into a hub of globalization. This sense of adventure and discovery never left, and neither did my
fascination with New York City as a central part of a globalizing world. As with that as a primary
thought I discovered in researching a four year, New York University as the place to continue my
education.
The closer I inspected NYU, the more I felt drawn to the institution, specifically the College of Arts
and Science. This institution offers

After deciding on a research question, a researcher must map out how the research will be conducted
by creating a research plan. When designing a research plan there are a number of variables to
consider, including deciding which research method to use. According to Creswell (2013), a research
method is a set of criteria for how data is collected, analyzed, and interpreted. The author also
explained that the chosen method is based upon the researcher s philosophical assumptions and the
research design (Creswell, 2013). Also to be considered is the problem being addressed through the
study, the researcher s personal experiences, and the study s audience (Creswell, 2013). Research
methods are chosen based upon whether the researcher is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Additionally, research is conducted with samples of a population that are typically generalizable to the
larger population from which the sample was drawn. Quantitative data is designed to define versus
qualitative data, which is designed to describe phenomenon.
Qualitative Methods Qualitative designs originated from anthropology, sociology, the humanities, and
evaluation (Creswell, 2013, p. 42). Conducting qualitative research allows a researcher to garner first
hand information about the lived experiences of particular populations (Creswell, 2013) and use that
information to provide rich descriptions about a research problem. This research method allows for the
discovery of information on abstract issues that are not immediately observable, such as emotions,
gender roles, or social norms from the perspectives of multiple people (Trainor Graue, 2014). Merriam
and Tisdell (2016) listed six common research designs in qualitative research, including basic
qualitative research, phenomenology, grounded theory, ethnography, narrative analysis, and qualitative
case study (p. 23). The authors stated that the basic qualitative research design encompasses the
characteristics of all other qualitative research designs, and are common in the field of education and
administration. Basic qualitative research as defined by Merriam and Tisdell (2016) is a method
grounded in constructivism and seeks to understand how participants ascribe meanings to
phenomenon. Additional

41. Similarities Between Kfc And Mcdonalds
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The purpose of the following report is to compare the contribution towards social responsibility of two
competing fast food franchises in South Africa, namely KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) and
McDonald s.
This comparative study will give insight into background information concerning the two franchises:
how they were formed, their mission, their vision, as well as their objectives. The background
information will then be followed by a comparative study of how both franchises contribute towards
social responsibility in the form of charity contributions, scholarships and sport sponsorship.
The Companies Act has been incorporated with sections of the King Code to form what is known as
integrated reporting. It stipulates that in order for a business to be successful, it must understand the
economic, social and environmental context it operates in. Nowadays, company success is not solely
based the amount of profit earned, but it includes how the business contributes in society, a term
known as corporate citizenship. This study will evaluate the corporate citizenship of both franchises to
compare their fairness, transparency, responsibility and accountability when dealing with society as a
whole. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

business model in the corporate governance area. This is due to the fact that alterations in company
policies and codes of ethics will clearly illustrate what the franchise needs to change, therefore it will
have a better understanding of the improvements needed in order to increase its level of social
responsibility, as well as its

42. The Wright Brothers
We were lucky enough to grow up in an environment where there was always much encouragement to
children to pursue intellectual interests; to investigate whatever aroused curiosity (Wright). This is
exactly what the Wright Brothers had done in 1899, they have investigated whatever aroused their
curiosity. The Wrights Brothers; Wilbur born in 1867 and Orville born in 1871, they invented the first
airplane that is controlled by man. They were inspired in 1878, when their father gave them a toy
helicopter that had a rubber band connected to make it fly ( Wright Brothers ), something so simplicity
sparked their curiosity. Before they were experimenting with planes they owned their own newspaper;
West Side News, also owned a bike shop in 1892 until 1896 ( Wright Brothers ), they always thought
about experimenting with planes, but didn t really know how to start, in the back of the shop they
would write in their journals about their theories and wrote letters to their parents. The brothers started
researching about airplanes in 1899, learning how they worked by reading books, Wilbur
experimented once with a rectangular box when he squeezed the opposing corners, it made a
helicoidal twist and something so simple triggered the brothers to start experimenting with their first
glider in 1900 ( Road to Kitty Hawk, The ). In 1901, was the beginning of big ideas when they
changed the structure of their aircrafts. The first plane they flew that was successful was invented in
1903 called
