How Did Beethoven Influence The World
Beethoven is one of the best composers we have ever had. Many say that he composed his best works
after going deaf. He was born to Johann and Maria Magdalena van Beethoven on December 16,1770 in
Bonn, Germany. His father was the one who taught him piano and violin and mistreated him in the
process. Beethoven was a average student and left school at the age of eleven. Beethoven studied with
many tutors and then eventually left Bonn to make something of himself. Beethoven left Bonn only to
come and care for his sickening mother. Soon after his mother died and a later later his father died as
well. After leaving Bonn to pursue a career he started selling his works to publishers. By 1794 Beethoven
made a name a name for himself in society. He ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not only was he influenced by other composers but also by many musical styles. One such influence was
french music. The french revolution was not only famous in Bonn but also in Beethoven compositions as
marches. Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach was not only known to Beethoven but also to Mozart and Hadyn
who Beethoven was influenced by. Just as emotion was a strong characteristic in Carl Philipp Emanuel
Bach s work it was even stronger in Beethoven s. Here is a quote by Julian Medforth Budden expressing
the influences of Beethoven, Rooted in the Classical traditions of Joseph Haydn and Mozart, his art
reaches out to encompass the new spirit of humanism and incipient nationalism expressed in the works of
Goethe and Friedrich von Schiller, his elder contemporaries in the world of literature; the stringently
redefined moral imperatives of Kant; and the ideals of the French Revolution, with its passionate concern
for the freedom and dignity of the individual .
Beethoven s Symphony No. 5 is considered one of his masterpieces. It took Beethoven about four years
to create the piece. He started it at the most productive part of his life and pieces likes the opera delayed
the progress. The first movement is the shortest he s composed ever.

The Catcher in the Rye Rewrite Ending Essay
Writing Activity #4 Rewrite the ending of the story. Anyway, I really did go home after the carrousel.
First, Phoebe and I walked out of the park onto the east side, and took the bus to Grand Central, to get
my goddam Gladstones out of the strong box there. pretty Though it had stopped pouring out, I was still
wet. Boy, it really came down like a madman. I still had Phoebe s red hunting hat on, it was soaking wet
though. I didn t care. All I could think about Phoebe. Just Phoebe. I m glad we re both going home now,

She s in the play too. Yes , Susie said, It should be really great . She was so polite. I really liked her. I
usually like Phoebe s friends when I meet them. Watching the two of them helped me get my mind off of
how I was about to face my parents. I was worried about my mom. I really was. I tried not to think of
how hysterical she d get. Phoebe said mom and dad were coming home at around seven o clock. It was
around four o clock now. Soon enough they d come home, see me, and deal with me. So, we got off the
bus at 72nd street, said goodbye to Susie, and walked home. Phoebe seemed all cheery. Kids don t
understand situations like this. I mean, old Phoebe, she did, but I guess she was just really happy to be
with me, and that I was home and all. How are Mr. and Mrs. Antolini? , she asked me. They re doing
pretty good , I said. Of course I would never tell her what really happened. I still couldn t believe it. It
really bothered me. Had he always liked me in that way? I don t even want to answer that. Really.
Anyway, I was so happy to see old Phoebe. She was about the only friendly person whose company I d
enjoyed since I left Pencey Prep. We got home early to my surprise and I took my suitcases into my room
and lay it down on my bed. I was pretty tired, having hardly slept the night before. I had a big headache.

American Eagle Outfitters Analysis Essay
American Eagle Outfitters SWOT Analysis
The Silverman family first founded American Eagle Outfitters in 1977. They operated specialty clothing
stores under the name Retail Ventures. In 1980 the Silverman s encountered financial troubles when the
Schottenstein family bought out 50% of the Retail Ventures. In 1991 the Schottenstein family bought the
rest of Retail Ventures and opened 153 American Eagle Outfitters. By late 2000 the company had
introduced 46 new stores in Canada. American Eagle had approximately $2 million in annual sales in
2003 and now operates over 800 stores in the United States and Canada

They need to work on earning the trust of their customers with their affordable prices and good quality of
the garments sold. In addition to customer loyalty, not enough time is spent on advertising of the
company. Because of the lack of advertising AE has experienced a loss of fashion sales in the recent
years. The store needs to reach out to its target market by providing more commercial or doing more
promotional work. American Eagle is challenged with determining what trends are appropriate for its
customers and how to interpret thee trends. Over the past two years, competitors such as Abercrombie
and Fitch have lowered their prices, which have created additional promotional pressure for American
Eagle. Some investors believe Aeropostale has the value niche and Abercrombie has the high end
positioning, so American Eagle is sometimes perceived as being stuck in the middle, without a true niche

The questions that came up the most were not about lions, tigers, bears or the thing that sticks his hind

one hand? Why do the nails have different colors? Does he paint them? He was endlessly patient and

Oil Change In A Car Essay
Have you ever wondered how to do an oil change in your car? While there are different makes and model
of cars, for example, Honda, Toyota, Ford, BMW, etc. All the cars have an engine which varies in size,
the engines of the cars are count in cylinders some cars have four, six, eight, or even twelve cylinders.
The more cylinders a car has, the more engine oil it requires. For example, a four cylinder car will take
four to six quarts of engine oil. Doing an oil change can be an easy task, and I m going to show you how,
all you need the right tools, adequate engine oil, and engine oil filter. Motor oil is very important for your
engine to run properly and last a long time.
First, take a trip to your local auto parts give them the information of your car make, model, year, and
engine size. Next, ask for engine oil and oil filter. Sometimes they have discounts on engine oil that
comes with a filter. They will tell you how much oil and which oil filter your car requires, most of the
time they have the tools you need to do an oil change. Keep in mind that there are different types of
motor oil like full synthetic oil, higher mileage oil, and synthetic blend oil. Made sure and ask questions
of which oil is better for your car.
Second, let your car get to running temperature, there is a gauge with a needle on your dashboard that ...

of it properly some of the auto parts stores take the old oil. Drive the car and make sure there is no engine

Blocking Diode Is Useful Tool For Limiting The Direction...
Blocking diode
The blocking diode is a helpful tool for limiting the direction energy can flow through a wire to just one
direction. It uses a semiconductor P/N junction achieve this behavior.
The diagram shows a simple setup with two panels charging a battery (for simplicity no controller is
shown) with a blocking diode in series with the two panels, which are also wired in series. When the sun
shines, as long as the voltage produced by the two panels is greater than that of the battery, charging will
take place.
However, in the dark, when no voltage is being produced by the panels, the voltage of the battery would
cause a current to flow in the opposite direction through the panels, discharging the battery, if it was not
for the blocking diode in the circuit.
Blocking diodes will be of benefit in any system using solar panels to charge a battery. Blocking diodes
are usually included in the construction of solar panels so further blocking diodes are not required. Most
photovoltaic solar panels are used to charge a battery during the daytime. Nearly all panels come
equipped with a blocking diode. The diode prevents DC current from flowing backwards from the
battery bank into the panel at night. The usual blocking device of choice is a schottky diode with a
typical 0.5v voltage drop. In some large panels, which can often source over 4 Amps of current, the
power loses due to this voltage drop

Nelson Mandela s Fight For Freedom And Equality
The underlying need structure of the individual is what motivates his behavior in various leadership
situations. Leadership style thus refers to the consistency of goals or needs at different situations (Fred
Fiedler, 1967). One major individual from history that, in his lifetime fulfilled the above quote is the
former South African president, Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, commonly known as Nelson Mandela.
Mandela has been described as one of the most influential figures in the fight for freedom and equality in
South Africa.
Mandela was born in 1918. His farther, Henry Mandela, was a tribal chief of Tembu. At the time South
Africa was ruled by white minority, Mandela helped to unite South Africa as it dismantled apartheid, the
cruel system of white minority rule. He symbolized for all of Africa a commitment to democracy and
freedom. For effective transformative education and transformative leadership, a sympathetic position
must be taken (Preece, 2013). Mandela demonstrated this thought his life time as he was not only
sympathetic to African indigenous values, but also able to see that taking the same approach as his
adversary s was not going to help further his cause, this is seen through his encouragement of his
followers to seek education to better their situations not violence.
Through out the 1940s and 1950s Mandela witnessed and was frequently victim to frequently subject to
detention, police harassments, and banning. In 1962 Mandela was sentenced for five years of

Should College Students Drop Out Of College
When I was five years old, the fifty cents that my mother would give me to purchase a handful of sugary
goodness from the gumball machines seemed like winning the jackpot. As I grew and became fascinated
with toys at age eight, ten dollars could purchase me a small toy from the toy store. In my teen years 30
dollars were put into my pocket and just as fast taken out on weekend trips. As I approach college, the
value of a hundred dollars in the face of college tuition, seems as meager as the gumballs I chewed as a
child. Our dependency on money has substantially increased the value and importance of keeping track
of when, where, and how every penny is spent.

informed of any specific rules will help me avoid redirecting my money into different places. Knowing

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Living Off Campus
A student important decision that a student going to college has to discuss is, if a dorm is the best choice
for her or would be better for her to live off campus. Dorm life makes students develop guidelines.
Students that live off campus learn to set their own guidelines that will allow them to be successful in a
more disciplined environment. Living off campus can help the process that allows students to mature into
an adult. However, leaving on campus you don t have to worry about transportation, responsibility, social
life, and cost.
With living on campus students can easily walk to classes, the library, and the café. A disadvantage for
students that live off campus is that they would have to waste time and money driving to school and
finding a parking space. Also, students who live on campus have plenty of parking spots available in
their own assigned residential lots. These students no longer have to fight those convenient commuter
spaces. If a student lives off campus, it might be easier if he/she has a job back home. People who live
off campus may have to take care of a family member. A disadvantage for people that live on campus
would be that they have to stay on campus twenty four seven unlike the people that stay off campus.

The Theory Of Social Space
The next key concept to come from Bourdieu s work is the field which, unlike habitus, exists outside the
minds of actors. The field is formally defined as a network of relations among the objective positions
within it. The occupants of these positions may be either agents or institutions and they are both
constrained by the structure of the field (Ritzer, 2004). Economic capital, which relates the economy of
the state, and cultural capital, which involves various kinds of acceptable knowledge are two principles
of differentiation which determine social space classifications. Accordingly, social space is constructed in
such a way that agents are distributed within it according to their position in statistical distributions based
on these two principles of differentiation (Bourdieu, 1998). It follows that agents are distributed in this
social space in such a way that the closer they are to one another, as determined by those two principles
of differentiation, the more they will likely have in common. Occupants of positions within the field
employ a variety of strategies, and again, the strategies of these agents depend on their position in the
field. This demonstrates that Bourdieu s actors possess less freedom than Giddens s. While there are
many differences between these two theories and theorists, I have pointed out several similarities as both
Giddens and Bourdieu presented a duality of structure, and they both consider the issue of constraint on
agents.

Anglo Saxon Warrior Culture
Imagine if one thousand years from now, the American civilization was researched based only on
evidence that survived time, such as a singular book or ruin of a skyscraper. These artifacts would serve
as the basis of knowledge for all characteristics of the society of the United States. The information now
regarded as common knowledge for many ancient civilizations derives from their surviving artifacts that
give examples of culture. One such civilization was the Anglo Saxons, who wrote poems and left behind
parts of their material culture that provide insight into their lives. Based on the epic Beowulf and the
archaeological evidence, the principles that the Anglo Saxons valued were loyalty, warrior culture, and
wealth. One of the most important ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Invention Of The Braille Alphabet
Most ideas take off with great aspirations, great faith and support but only result in disappointment. Then
there s those few and far between ideas that leave marks in history and prove themselves successful
something that will change the world. Braille is one of those rare inventions. It is a written form of
language that allows the blind and visually impaired to be literate. The invention of the Braille Alphabet
had a significant impact on world by allowing the blind and visually impaired to act competitively and
successfully in society, making buildings more accessible for all people, and also reducing the number of
homeless. Its invention has impacted society in such way that must be noted.
Louis Braille is the man who invented Braille. He was born in Coupvray, France on January 4, 1809. He
was born sighted, but at the age of three he became fully blind. His blindness was the aftermath of
playing with a sharp tool in his father s workshop (who had been the local harness maker), where he
injured himself. Although his parents, Simon René Braille and Monique Braille, provided him with the
best care available, the early 1800 s lack of medical advancement proved itself true. His injury created an
infection in his one eye, and soon lead to the other, leaving him completely blind. Prior to attending a
school specifically for the blind, Louis was an eager student at a public school, learning solely through
listening. Later, at the age of 16, Louis attended Royal Institute for

Animal Testing Should Be Made A Better Society For People
Animal testing has many advantages that have made a better society for people. Animal testing can be
defined as, the use of non human animals in research and development projects, esp. for purposes of
determining the safety of substances such as foods or drugs ( Dictionary 1 ). Animal testing is literally
how it sounds to others. Animals are being tested on in order to try different products made by scientists
in order to better the society.
One advantage of animal testing is that animal testing has contributed to many life saving cures and
treatments. The California Biomedical Research Association states that almost every medical
breakthrough in the last century has directly resulted from the use of animals. Insulin was discovered
with a lot of different experiments in which dogs had their pancreases removed from their body. This was
critical because it began to save people from having diabetes. Animal research has also played a role in
major advances of understanding and treating conditions such as breast cancer, brain injury, malaria and
tuberculosis. The Director of the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center s Animal Research
Facility, Chris Abee, states that we would not have a vaccine for hepatitis B without chimpanzees, and
says that the use of chimps is our best hope for finding a vaccine for Hepatitis C, which is a disease that
kills 15,000 people every year in the United States (Animal Testing 1).

Percent Of Water In Hydrate Lab Report
Discussion:
The purpose of the lab was to determine the percent of water in the hydrate MgSO4 * N2H0 through the
process of heating the hydrate, releasing the water molecules, and leaving only the anhydrous
magnesium sulfate and also determine the number of water molecules in the hydrate. Throughout the lab,
various masses were tooki, including the mass of the evaporating glass with the watch glass, the mass of
the evaporating glass, and watch glass with the additional hydrate sample, and the mass of the the
evaporating glass, and the watch glass with the dehydrated sample, at two different times, each separated
by a five minute interval. After, calculations based on the mass of the left over anhydrous solution were
made where the mass of the either the original recorded number for the hydrate was used, or the

This purpose was reached. The water percentage in the hydrate was 52.3% and the number of water
molecules in the hydrate was 7. This lab showed that a hydrate can have the water of hydration removed
from the anhydrous solution by heating the original hydrate. This is important because during chemical
reaction, the experimenter must know if an anhydrous solution is hygroscopic or not, to make sure to
incorporate the water molecules that would be present during a reaction. For example, the hydrate
sodium sulfate is used as a drying agent for removing traces of water from organic solutions, however, if
the hydrate gets too hot, it will release water, and do the opposite effect than it was meant to do. The lab
also showed that rounding measurements may produce the theoretical answer, but maybe no the true

The Direction Of Bilateral Trade Flows Across Countries Or...
4.2. Conclusion This study has indicated that there are some differences as to what determines the
direction of bilateral trade flows across countries or regional economic blocs. The motives behind the
formation of such arrangements disparate from region to region hence, there are differing arguments that
explain the rationale for their set up. Developing countries regional blocs in general, African ones in
particular, are often criticized for being politically oriented and this view has been partially supported by
the study. From the above regression results and the subsequent explanations, it could be concluded that
trade flow in the study area is positively impacted by real GDP in both trading partners and is statistically
significant. It is also directly proportional to the population number in both countries, although the
population number in the trading partners of countries in the study area is not statistically significant. In
addition, regression results from the dummy variables, colonial history, membership of both trading
partners in East African Community, and common membership of both trading partners in regional
economic integrations outside EAC, reveals that trade is positively influenced by these variables and is
statistically significant. Another group of variables that significantly explain trade in EAC are distance
between the centers of the trade partners and number of land locked countries in the country pair. Unlike
other variables in the model,

What Are The Similarities Between Genesis And The Gilgamesh
In The Genesis and The Epic of Gilgamesh there are three main similarities. These similarities are the
flood, the food, and the snake. In Genesis God sent a flood to destroy all of mankind, just like how the
gods sent a flood to also destroy mankind in Gilgamesh. In both stories God chose someone to build boat
to restart mankind, in Genesis he chose Noah, and in Gilgamesh he chose Utnapishtim. The food plays
different role in each story. In Genesis food was what it took for them to look their immortality, however
in Gilgamesh food was needed in order to achieve immortality. The snake is what it took for the
characters to lose immortality. However, there were different outcomes of the snake either taking food or
saying you should eat the food. In Gilgamesh we were told about a great flood that struck Shurrupak. A
god called Enlil became mad at the city because it was very noisey due to its growing population, he
complained that he can t sleep at night. He told the other gods about his complaint and they agreed they
should wipe out the mortals. In an attempt to destroy mankind he creates a flood. Ea, another god, tells a
man called Utnapishtim to build a boat out of his house in a dream. Utnapishtim does as he was told.
Utnapishtim asks Ea how to make the others believe him. Ea says to tell the others that Enilil was angry
with Utnapishtim, so Utnapishtim may no longer live on land. Utnapishtim builds a seven deck boat.
When the boat was set into water he took his family, relatives, animals, and craftsmen who helped him
build the boat. The flood lasts for six days and six nights. Utnapishtim sees a mountain, the boat floats
towards it. Utnapishtim realeses three birds, one after the other, in an attempt to find shore. The first two
birds return but the third, a raven, doesn t return. Utnapishtim then knows that there is shore for him to
go to. Utnapishtim gives sacrafices of cane, cedar, and myrtle. Ishtar tells the others gods about Enlil and
how he started the flood. Utnapishtim was then blessed with eternal life. This story is very similar to the
story of Noah in Gensis. The flood in Noah was also to a punishment for mankind. Utnapishtim and
Noah were chosen to build an ark to survive the flood and then

The Effects Of Borderline Personality Disorders
There s a tremendous need to implode the myths of mental illness, to put a face on it, to show people that
a diagnosis does not have to lead to a painful and oblique life. Those are the words of Elyn R. Sacs, a
successful woman who happens to carry a diagnosis of schizophrenia. Mental illness has been plagued
by stigma and misunderstanding throughout history, due to a lack of necessary research by professionals
as well as a lack of education for the public. The disorders which face the most stigma, both historically
and in present times, are the more severe afflictions such as schizophrenia or personality disorders.

While it was initially thought that borderline personality disorder was more common in women, new data
confirms that the prevalence is equal among the sexes. Along with this, research identified high rates of
comorbidity with mood, anxiety and substance use disorders [4]. Patients with BPD have a 50 fold
higher rate of suicide than the general population [5 ] (Nelson). However, it was also discovered within
recent history that the prognosis for borderline personality disorder is shockingly favorable, in contrast
with the previous notion that it was chronic and practically untreatable. Over the course of ten years of
treatment, borderline personality disorder has a high rate of remission combined with a low rate of
relapsing symptoms. At a follow up, after sixteen years, remission rates continued to be high, and
recovery rates were moderate (Nelson). One of the most notable processes involved in remission and
recovery is dialectical behavior therapy, which is designed to treat chronically suicidal, multiproblem
patients (Nelson). Thirteen separate trials have been performed to test the effectiveness of dialectical
behavior, making it the most highly researched forms of psychotherapy for borderline personality
disorder. It is also one of the most effective, as not only did participants of DBT report using three times
more skills than those in a control condition, but also their use of skills mediated decreases in suicide
attempts and depression, and an increase in control over anger (Nelson). Despite being viewed as having
a poor prognosis initially, borderline personality disorder can be treated effectively. While it may be a

Fiber optic communications systems are light wave systems that employ optical fibers for information
transmission.
Fig. BL vs Year
A commonly used figure of merit for communication systems is the bit rate distance product. (BL),
where B is the bit rate and L is the repeater spacing. Figure shows that the BL product has increased with
technical advances.
II. OPTICAL COMMUNICATION SYSTEM Modern fiber optic communication systems generally
include an optical transmitter to convert an electrical signal into an optical signal to send into the optical
fiber, a cable containing bundles of multiple optical fibers that is routed through underground conduits
and buildings, multiple kinds of amplifiers, and an optical receiver to recover the signal as an electrical
signal. The information transmitted is typically digital information generated by computers, telephone
systems, and cable television companies.
Figure shows a generic block diagram of an optical communication system. It consists of a transmitter, a

Progeria And Eukaryotic Analysis
Progeria is a rare disease that affects the nuclear envelope (lamina), and makes the nucleus unstable. It is
caused by a mutation in the LMNA gene that produces an abnormal protein. This abnormal protein is
called progerin, and it causes the process of premature ageing in an individual.
Eukaryotic cells contain a sphere shaped nucleus that protects the genetic information (DNA) and
separates it from the cytoplasm. The nucleus itself is protected by a double membrane called, the nuclear
envelope. The nuclear envelope is made up of nuclear membranes, nuclear lamina, and nuclear pore
complexes. The nuclear lamina is the sturdy protein that gives the nucleus its structure and shape. As
well as providing structural support, the nuclear lamina is required for most nuclear activities, such as
chromatin organization, DNA replication, cell cycle regulation, nuclear positioning within the cell,
assembly/disassembly of the nucleus during cell division, as well as for modulating master regulatory
genes and signaling pathways. (Baek, McKenna, Eriksson; 2013) The ability of the cell to ... Show more

(Progeria Research Foundation; 2003) Normally, the amino acid produced is lamin A, but when progerin
is produced it gains a high liking for the nuclear membrane, causing disruptions to the nuclear lamina.
Without lamin A, the nuclear lamina cannot provide the structural support for the nuclear envelope,
causing it to take on an abnormal shape. This causes a huge strain for cell division; without the support
that the nuclear lamina usually provides, the organization of chromatin for mitosis is disrupted and cell
division is limited. When cells use progerin, they start to break down easier. Progerin builds up in many
cells of the individuals, causing them to grow up faster than normal. Because of this the rate of ageing is
8 10 times faster than

Comparing and Contrasting the Novel and Movie Version of...
Comparing and Contrasting the Novel and Movie Version of The Grapes of Wrath
John Steinbeck wrote the The Grapes of Wrath in 1939 to rouse its readers against those who were
responsible for keeping the American people in poverty. The Grapes of Wrath tells the story of the Joad
family, migrant farmers from Oklahoma traveling to California in search of an illusion of prosperity. The
novel s strong stance stirred up much controversy, as it was often called Communist propaganda, and
banned from schools due to its vulgar language. However, Steinbeck s novel is considered to be his
greatest work. It won the Pulitzer Prize, and later became an Academy Award winning movie in 1940.
The novel and the movie are both considered to be wonderful ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The movie does not discuss in depth the vast significance of this route. On the other hand, Chapter 12 of
the novel describes how Route 66 is a river of immigrants. This interchapter explains how the thousands
traveling Route 66 are refugees from the troubles in the East, giving a better description of the time
period. Finally, the movie never describes in depth the economic situation of California during the 1930
s. In the movie, the story ends leaving the viewer with the image of California as a land of prosperity.
However, the novel attacks the economic situation of California with rage in Chapter 25. In this
interchapter, Steinbeck describes how a surplus can make prices so low that the farmers have no income,
or how the supply of farm goods can be so scarce that the goods are priced too high to sale. This situation
plagues California, and farmers are thrown in poverty. This chapter shows how California is not a safe
haven for farmers, but a harsh, devouring environment. The interchapters in the novel form of Grapes of
Wrath describe in detail the time period of the storyline, while the movie leaves the spectators unaware
of the actual situation of the migrant farmers in the 1930 s.
In the novel form of Grapes of Wrath, Steinbeck uses different literary elements, which are not present in
the movie, to provide a deeper meaning of the story. One major element in the novel that is absent in the
movie is Steinbeck s use of

Essay On Damaged Ligaments
Damaged ligaments are also referred to as sprains . They are graded on a scale of 1 to 3 in relation to the
severity of injury. Grade one sprains is a mildly damaged ligament that has a slight stretch, resulting in
some pain, discomfort and minimal loss of function, but no abnormal motion. Grade two sprains are
ligaments that stretch to a point where it is loose, causing a partial tear. Pain, swelling, instability and
moderate loss of function are common symptoms. Grade three sprains are complete ligament tears,
causing severe instability, inevitable loss of rand of movement, and extreme pain and swelling. (Lee,
2015)
Diagnosis
Most ligament injuries can be diagnosed clinically by physical examination, and by comparing the
structures of the injured and non injured knee. This includes examination of swelling, bruising, areas of
tenderness, deformity and effusion (knee joint fluid). The strength and stability of the ACL can be tested
by the Lachman test, anterior drawer test and pivot shift test. However, this can be very difficult in acute
situations where there is lots of pain, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
External factors include when an individual s coordination is compromised prior to landing or
deceleration due to disruptions. (Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, n.d.) According to Maguire (2014),
70% of ACL injuries occur through noncontact mechanisms, such as attempting to rapidly pivot or
sidestep maneuver, landing in a pothole or the ball deflecting. The remaining cases of injuries involve
direct contact such as collision with another player, which is usually associated with other ligament
injury. Other external factors consist of shoe surface interface, playing surface and wearing a brace.
Conversely, internal factors are comprised of differences in men and women anatomy, hormonal effects,
variations in nerves and muscles, and degree of hamstring flexibility and foot pronation. (Sports

The Merchant Of Venice, Antony And Cleopatra, And Dr Faustus
Whilst the writer s selection of place bears great significance throughout many eras, the Renaissance
period is particularly fascinating in relation to setting. These playwrights were living through an
extraordinary and unprecedented flowering of drama and, consequentially, were afforded opportunities
that would have been unimaginable even a century before. The flourishing of drama necessitated the
creation of playhouses, in which setting could be conveyed more accurately and elaborately than in the
millennia that preceded. The combination of the uninhibited creativity associated with the Renaissance
and the realisation of the new possibilities of the commercial stage facilitated an extremely nuanced and
complex exploration of setting and place; providing us with some of the most memorable and meaningful
settings ever featured in literature. Setting provides a unique opportunity, if chosen astutely, for the
playwright to communicate narrative, and shape character, without having to explicitly or linguistically
express it. I intend to focus The Merchant of Venice, Antony and Cleopatra, and Dr Faustus in order to
display how setting directly affects the plot and often aids in forging our understanding of identities
within the play. Through consideration of the implications and ideals attached to the settings presented
throughout the texts, we can more accurately infer the sentiments of the writer and understand the ways
in which place gives impetus to plot.

Sabotage In Ww2
When world war two occurred, Americans feared sabotage and Japanese in general because they were
considered to be spies that were helping Japan in the war. So Americans started gathering Japanese
Americans and other people they thought could be a threat to lock them in internment or concentration
camps. Americans didn t care that most Japanese concentrated in these camps were not supporting, and
they simply snatched people away from their homes and memories for the so called country s safety. In
the article, Executive Order of 9066, it is mentioned that Franklin Roosevelt feared destruction and

What Is The Light Of Nature By Claude Monet
There are three paintings about light of nature by Claude Monet, which are Impression Sunrise,
Boulevard des Capucines, and Woman with a Parasol Madame Monet and Her Son. The first painting
about light of nature is Impression Sunrise was completed by Claude Monet in 1872. This oil on canvas
painting presents a misty morning scene of a French harbor as the artist stood on the shore observing the
sunrise. Monet emphasized on natural lighting. The Sun is shown in the center slightly to the right of the
picture. Impression Sunrise is mostly covered in blue with a small orange hue that represents the Sun and
sunlight against the sky and the sea. He used dark blue to show silhouette of ships at the port and used
dark navy to show small boats. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Boulevard des Capucines is set out in a crowded Parisian on a street on a winter day. This painting is
vertically divided into two portions by trees in the middle. On the left side, underneath the tree branches,
there are grey pigments that suggest roofs of horse carriages. On the other side, Monet used short dark
bold brush stroke to indicate groups of people walking on snowy pavement. He used random
composition on this oil canvas painting to overview the bustled Parisians. The high point of view
perspective suggested that Monet painted this picture inside a building on the second floor where he
looked through the window down to the boulevard. Muted tone is predominant in order to enhance the
feeling of snowy day .The receding buildings in the back are behind the winter fog. Monet used bright
blue reflecting onto the building s roof to contrast with the trees brown tone. The disparity of these two
colors accentuate the sunlight that shine down from the above. Monet applied very little details to the
painting. He used short and quick strokes which create gritty texture of to form individuals moving in a
great haste. At first, I felt dishearten because of the tone color used on the painting. The brown and blue
tones added a depressing sense to it. But after I closely examined the painting, I noticed the energy of the
people. Even though Monet did not clearly draw the

How Does Ice Affect Ice Cream
Title: How is the time it takes ice cream to freeze affected when the amount of Sodium Chloride(salt)
added to the ice used to freeze the ice cream is changed?
Purpose
The purpose of the experiment is to see how the freezing process of ice cream is affected when different
amounts of Sodium Chloride are added on the ice that is used to freeze it.
Background Information
The three most common states of matter are solid, liquid and gas. When a person has made ice cream, the
ingredients go from a liquid to a solid state which is called freezing. In the liquid state, the substance s
molecules are the most loosely packed of the three states of matter and have no definite volume. Because
of this, they will usually take the shape of whatever container they are put into. The solid state however
is the complete opposite. In this state, the molecules are tightly packed and are unable to move around
freely. (Classifications of Matter) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In order to freeze the ice cream must reach a little below the freezing point of ice, which is 32 degrees
Fahrenheit or 0 degrees Celsius. The words freezing point just means the temperature where a liquid
transition into a solid. That s where salt come into play. Salt does something called freezing point
deprivation. Freezing point deprivation is when the freezing point of a solvent is lowered when a solute
is added to it. In this case salt is being added to ice. A common example of freezing point deprivation in
real life would be when salt is added to the roads right before it snows. Assuming the temperature is
around 32 degrees Fahrenheit, the salt lowers the freezing point of the snow by a few degrees and as a
result, the snow melts when it hits the

After reading through Mr. Darcy s letter, Elizabeth is bombarded with mixed emotions. Her mind was
already decided to dislike him, but now there was evidence that she had greatly misjudged him and his

they who are good natured when children, are good natured when they grow up; and [Mr. Darcy] was

also mentions Darcy s affection for his sister, stating Whatever can give his sister any pleasure, is sure to

different way of seeing Mr. Darcy; not as an egotistical man of wealth, but a responsible and caring
gentleman. Also while at Pemberley, Darcy exemplifies other gentleman like qualities, such as being
polite, attentive, and gracious, to a degree never before witnessed by Elizabeth. Elizabeth s aunt, Mrs.
Gardiner, remarked [Mr. Darcy] has not an ill natured look. On the contrary, there is something pleasing
about his mouth when he speaks. And there is something of dignity in his countenance, that would not
give one an unfavorable idea of his heart. (173). After so much evidence towards his more gentle nature,

The United States Positioning as a World Superpower: Its Subsequent Influence in the United Nations

America stands at this moment at the summit of the world.

As World War II came to a close, a new need for an international peacekeeping organization became
apparent in order to maintain peaceful relations among nations in the post World War II era. The United
Nations (UN) came into effect on October 24, 1945 for this very purpose and also to reaffirm faith in
fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of the human person, in the equal rights of men and

Ironically, even though the UN aided the U.S. into its position as a world leader post WWII, the U.S.
tends to believe that the UN is holding them back from further developing as a prevailing Nation. This
conflict between the U.S. and the UN can be seen specifically in the events leading up to America s war
on Iraq, where the U.S. demonstrated the use of force to promote democracy as their method of
improving human rights.
The conclusion of World War II not only ended four years of bitter global warfare, but also marked the
creation of a new era for the United States. The United States emerged out of World War II not only
victorious but newly strengthened. The other Ally powers had proven victorious as well, but were faced
with much greater losses than the United States. The United States exited the war relatively physically
unharmed, economically revived, and diplomatically reinforced. The period of the Great Depression that
had lingered over the American people for twelve years was over. The country was stimulated by
economic growth and rising prosperity. The policies of American isolationism that had governed foreign
policy for a century and a half were coming to a close. The American people were feeling invigorated
and possessed much national self confidence. The United States came out of WWII a leading nation,

old age Hagar is reexamining her past life as she moves forward on a journey toward self discovery. It is
not until the end of a long life that Hagar experiences her revelation. The forward movement of the novel
is combined with moments from the past. During the beginning moments of the novel Hagar remembers
herself as a young girl in this way: There was I, strutting the board sidewalk like a pint sized peacock,
resplendent, haughty, hoity toity, Jason Currie s black haired daughter. (Laurence 6) Throughout her life
her pride never left her side and because of this her relationships with her father, brother and husband
were destroyed. Her pride also led her to the death of her son John. Her stubbornness nature resulted in
her marriage to fade, Marvin to be unhappy, her daughter in law s frustration, and her own death. Due to
her pride she was unable to show love and affection to those around her. Even at a young age Hagar
always refused to show emotion because she was too proud to let people see her weakness. This is

Advantages Of Refrigeration
FABRICATION AND TESTING OF ICE PLANT TEST RIG
ABSTRACT
Refrigeration may be defined as the process of achieving and maintaining a temperature below that of the
surrounding, the aim being to freeze to ice, cool some product, or space to the required temperature. The
basis of modern refrigeration is the ability of liquids to absorb enormous quantities of heat as they boil
and evaporate. One of the most important applications of refrigeration air conditioning is to produce ice
for commercial applications with minimum energy consumption. Ice plant is used for producing
refrigeration effect which uses the vapor compression cycle and by using this cycle we are doing

COMPRESSOR
In this Ice Plant we use the reciprocating compressor. The compressor in which the vapour refrigerant is
compressed by reciprocating motion of piston is known as reciprocating compressor. The purpose of
compressor in the vapour compression cycle is to compress the low pressure dry gas from the evaporator
and raise its pressure to that of condenser. There are two types of reciprocating compressor, Positive
Displacement and Dynamic. In this plant we are using positive displacement hermetic compressor. Since
the compression of the refrigerant requires some work to be done on it, therefore a compressor must be
driven by some prime mover. The prime mover is an electric motor which converts input electrical
energy to useful mechanical work. This work is transmitted as torque to the compressor through common
shaft and coupling

The Role of the Chorus in Henry V by William Shakespeare...
The Role of the Chorus in Henry V by William Shakespeare The role of the Chorus in the Shakespeare s
play, Henry V, is significant. Due to the subject matter that the play deals with, it is hard to present in the
way that it deserves. The Chorus helps the audience follow the play by helping them to picture things as
they were through the use of imagery. It uses descriptive language in describing events that take place in
the play. The Chorus also helps in making the plot of the play flow together better by filling the time
lapses that occur between acts due to the fact that the event being depicted in only a few hours actually
occurred over several years, leaving some gaps between events. It also explains what happens in an act ...

decisions biased or political, and corruption. The efforts to protect intellectual property rights suffer from
three major problems: institutional issues, philosophical issues, and handling of new technologies. The
institutional issues refer to the shortcomings of existing regimes and their enforcement. To begin with,
the signatories to specific agreements are limited. Thus, countries that are not a part of the agreement do
not have to subscribe to its provisions. Further, the agreements lack enforcement powers. In addition, the
agreements per se are limited

Food Stamp Program Benefits
The food stamp program was instituted to ensure that people are no longer are going hungry in America.
Since The Food Stamp Act came into effect in the year 1964. Obesity seems to be more prevalent in
participants of this food program. Obesity does not discriminate, although it does appear to affect lower
income women that participate in the Food Stamp Program. As written by Gibson (2008) Participation in
the Food Stamp Program by low income women was associated with a 9.0% increase in the probability
of current obesity (as cited by Zhu,Yen,Eastwood, 2005). More people are inclined to be more obese now
than ever before; there are 30% or 6 million of adults that are categorized as obese in the United States
(Collins, 2007). The rate is for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The opportunities range from taxation of sugar based drinks to educating people only healthy foods. A
few of the options are the following examples. At present, benefits are distributed once a month. One of
the programs that are being discussed are the possibility of dividing up the SNAP benefit payment to
twice a month, As quoted by Bhargava (2004) and Shapiro (2005) To break the food stamp cycle some
researcher propose distributing SNAP benefits more often than the monthly schedule (as quoted by
Richards, Sindelar, 2013). One hope for the indicated would be too encouraging increased fruits and
vegetables to be purchased to produce a healthier eating pattern during the entire month. Hence, the
curbing of high calorie foods are thought to generate obesity. The option also comes with problems.
Some participants have no genuine incentive to improve their eating practices, and in store purchases and
personal influence remain (Richards, Sindelar, 2013). Some participants feel they need to be rewarded
for buying healthy, fresh foods with their snap benefits. An option that would provide an incentive for
every purchase of fresh fruits and vegetables a reimbursement of SNAP cash will be added to the benefit
card. The benefit will be added on toward the end of the month. Giving people the opportunity to buy
additional groceries. Even with this option when the added benefits are placed on the SNAP the
recipients can then proceed to purchase the sugar based drinks of their choice. This program would not
eliminate the purchasing of sugar based

A Comparison of the Dramatic Monologues of Porphyria s...
A Comparison of the Dramatic Monologues of Porphyria s Lover and My Last Duchess by Robert
Browning
Robert Browning (1812 89) was, with Alfred Lord Tennyson, one of the two most celebrated of Victorian
poets. His father was a bank clerk, and Browning educated himself by reading in the family library. He
published many verse dramas and dramatic monologues (poems, like My Last Duchess, in which a single
character speaks to the reader), notably the collections Men and Women (1855) and Dramatis Personae
(1864). His greatest success came in 1868 with The Ring and the Book a verse narrative in twelve books,
spoken by a range of different characters. In her lifetime his wife, Elizabeth Barrett Browning ... Show

He is very jealous of Porphyria s contacts . He wants her all to him self, the easiest way for him to get
this is to kill her because then no one else can have her and she would have died being with him and no
one else.
The Duchess appears to be a very happy person, which finds joy in the tiniest things. We gain the
impression that she is a well bread woman, who takes pride in her appearance. The duke is very proud of
her appearance he describes all her beauty as he talks. The duke believes she is easily pleased too soon
made glad and the pleasing her made not always be coming from him, this makes him very jealous.
The first we hear about Porphyria s appearance is when she has just entered from being in the rain, the
lover is describing every thing as it happened in great detail, about her hair and how it laid, etc.
Porphyira worshiped her lover at that point and he wanted it to stay that way, he loved her too much for
things to change, for her to find someone else to worship, he had to act at that time in order to keep her to
him self.
These poems are very powerful in the way they are putting across the love from the Duke and Porphyria
s Lover, they are both very jealous even though they properly have no reason to be but they believe they
do. Action must be taken to keep their lover s from anyone else, so they believe that they can do this by

  • 2. How Did Beethoven Influence The World Beethoven is one of the best composers we have ever had. Many say that he composed his best works after going deaf. He was born to Johann and Maria Magdalena van Beethoven on December 16,1770 in Bonn, Germany. His father was the one who taught him piano and violin and mistreated him in the process. Beethoven was a average student and left school at the age of eleven. Beethoven studied with many tutors and then eventually left Bonn to make something of himself. Beethoven left Bonn only to come and care for his sickening mother. Soon after his mother died and a later later his father died as well. After leaving Bonn to pursue a career he started selling his works to publishers. By 1794 Beethoven made a name a name for himself in society. He ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The french revolution was not only famous in Bonn but also in Beethoven compositions as marches. Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach was not only known to Beethoven but also to Mozart and Hadyn who Beethoven was influenced by. Just as emotion was a strong characteristic in Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach s work it was even stronger in Beethoven s. Here is a quote by Julian Medforth Budden expressing the influences of Beethoven, Rooted in the Classical traditions of Joseph Haydn and Mozart, his art reaches out to encompass the new spirit of humanism and incipient nationalism expressed in the works of Goethe and Friedrich von Schiller, his elder contemporaries in the world of literature; the stringently redefined moral imperatives of Kant; and the ideals of the French Revolution, with its passionate concern for the freedom and dignity of the individual . Beethoven s Symphony No. 5 is considered one of his masterpieces. It took Beethoven about four years to create the piece. He started it at the most productive part of his life and pieces likes the opera delayed the progress. The first movement is the shortest he s composed ever. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

First, Phoebe and I walked out of the park onto the east side, and took the bus to Grand Central, to get my goddam Gladstones out of the strong box there. pretty Though it had stopped pouring out, I was still wet. Boy, it really came down like a madman. I still had Phoebe s red hunting hat on, it was soaking wet though. I didn t care. All I could think about Phoebe. Just Phoebe. I usually like Phoebe s friends when I meet them. Watching the two of them helped me get my mind off of how I was about to face my parents. I was worried about my mom. I really was. I tried not to think of how hysterical she d get. Phoebe said mom and dad were coming home at around seven o clock. It was around four o clock now. Soon enough they d come home, see me, and deal with me. So, we got off the bus at 72nd street, said goodbye to Susie, and walked home. Phoebe seemed all cheery. Kids don t understand situations like this. I mean, old Phoebe, she did, but I guess she was just really happy to be with me, and that I was home and all. How are Mr. and Mrs. Antolini? , she asked me. They re doing pretty good , I said. Of course I would never tell her what really happened. I still couldn t believe it. It really bothered me. Had he always liked me in that way? I don t even want to answer that. Really. Anyway, I was so happy to see old Phoebe. It uses a semiconductor P/N junction achieve this behavior. The diagram shows a simple setup with two panels charging a battery (for simplicity no controller is shown) with a blocking diode in series with the two panels, which are also wired in series. When the sun shines, as long as the voltage produced by the two panels is greater than that of the battery, charging will take place. However, in the dark, when no voltage is being produced by the panels, the voltage of the battery would cause a current to flow in the opposite direction through the panels, discharging the battery, if it was not for the blocking diode in the circuit. Blocking diodes will be of benefit in any system using solar panels to charge a battery. Blocking diodes are usually included in the construction of solar panels so further blocking diodes are not required. Most photovoltaic solar panels are used to charge a battery during the daytime. Nearly all panels come equipped with a blocking diode. The diode prevents DC current from flowing backwards from the battery bank into the panel at night. The usual blocking device of choice is a schottky diode with a typical 0.5v voltage drop. In some large panels, which can often source over 4 Amps of current, the power loses due to this voltage drop ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. The Theory Of Social Space The next key concept to come from Bourdieu s work is the field which, unlike habitus, exists outside the minds of actors. The field is formally defined as a network of relations among the objective positions within it. The occupants of these positions may be either agents or institutions and they are both constrained by the structure of the field (Ritzer, 2004). Economic capital, which relates the economy of the state, and cultural capital, which involves various kinds of acceptable knowledge are two principles of differentiation which determine social space classifications. Accordingly, social space is constructed in such a way that agents are distributed within it according to their position in statistical distributions based on these two principles of differentiation (Bourdieu, 1998). It follows that agents are distributed in this social space in such a way that the closer they are to one another, as determined by those two principles of differentiation, the more they will likely have in common. Occupants of positions within the field employ a variety of strategies, and again, the strategies of these agents depend on their position in the field. This demonstrates that Bourdieu s actors possess less freedom than Giddens s. While there are many differences between these two theories and theorists, I have pointed out several similarities as both Giddens and Bourdieu presented a duality of structure, and they both consider the issue of constraint on agents. ... It is a written form of language that allows the blind and visually impaired to be literate. The invention of the Braille Alphabet had a significant impact on world by allowing the blind and visually impaired to act competitively and successfully in society, making buildings more accessible for all people, and also reducing the number of homeless. Its invention has impacted society in such way that must be noted. Louis Braille is the man who invented Braille. He was born in Coupvray, France on January 4, 1809. He was born sighted, but at the age of three he became fully blind. His blindness was the aftermath of playing with a sharp tool in his father s workshop (who had been the local harness maker), where he injured himself. Although his parents, Simon René Braille and Monique Braille, provided him with the best care available, the early 1800 s lack of medical advancement proved itself true. Conclusion This study has indicated that there are some differences as to what determines the direction of bilateral trade flows across countries or regional economic blocs. The motives behind the formation of such arrangements disparate from region to region hence, there are differing arguments that explain the rationale for their set up. Developing countries regional blocs in general, African ones in particular, are often criticized for being politically oriented and this view has been partially supported by the study. From the above regression results and the subsequent explanations, it could be concluded that trade flow in the study area is positively impacted by real GDP in both trading partners and is statistically significant. It is also directly proportional to the population number in both countries, although the population number in the trading partners of countries in the study area is not statistically significant. In addition, regression results from the dummy variables, colonial history, membership of both trading partners in East African Community, and common membership of both trading partners in regional economic integrations outside EAC, reveals that trade is positively influenced by these variables and is statistically significant. These similarities are the flood, the food, and the snake. In Genesis God sent a flood to destroy all of mankind, just like how the gods sent a flood to also destroy mankind in Gilgamesh. In both stories God chose someone to build boat to restart mankind, in Genesis he chose Noah, and in Gilgamesh he chose Utnapishtim. The food plays different role in each story. In Genesis food was what it took for them to look their immortality, however in Gilgamesh food was needed in order to achieve immortality. The snake is what it took for the characters to lose immortality. However, there were different outcomes of the snake either taking food or saying you should eat the food. In Gilgamesh we were told about a great flood that struck Shurrupak. A god called Enlil became mad at the city because it was very noisey due to its growing population, he complained that he can t sleep at night. Ea, another god, tells a man called Utnapishtim to build a boat out of his house in a dream. Utnapishtim does as he was told. Utnapishtim asks Ea how to make the others believe him. Ea says to tell the others that Enilil was angry with Utnapishtim, so Utnapishtim may no longer live on land. Utnapishtim builds a seven deck boat. When the boat was set into water he took his family, relatives, animals, and craftsmen who helped him build the boat. The flood lasts for six days and six nights. • 21. Progeria And Eukaryotic Analysis Progeria is a rare disease that affects the nuclear envelope (lamina), and makes the nucleus unstable. It is caused by a mutation in the LMNA gene that produces an abnormal protein. This abnormal protein is called progerin, and it causes the process of premature ageing in an individual. Eukaryotic cells contain a sphere shaped nucleus that protects the genetic information (DNA) and separates it from the cytoplasm. The nucleus itself is protected by a double membrane called, the nuclear envelope. The nuclear envelope is made up of nuclear membranes, nuclear lamina, and nuclear pore complexes. The nuclear lamina is the sturdy protein that gives the nucleus its structure and shape. As well as providing structural support, the nuclear lamina is required for most nuclear activities, such as chromatin organization, DNA replication, cell cycle regulation, nuclear positioning within the cell, assembly/disassembly of the nucleus during cell division, as well as for modulating master regulatory genes and signaling pathways. • 25. The Merchant Of Venice, Antony And Cleopatra, And Dr Faustus Whilst the writer s selection of place bears great significance throughout many eras, the Renaissance period is particularly fascinating in relation to setting. These playwrights were living through an extraordinary and unprecedented flowering of drama and, consequentially, were afforded opportunities that would have been unimaginable even a century before. The flourishing of drama necessitated the creation of playhouses, in which setting could be conveyed more accurately and elaborately than in the millennia that preceded. The combination of the uninhibited creativity associated with the Renaissance and the realisation of the new possibilities of the commercial stage facilitated an extremely nuanced and complex exploration of setting and place; providing us with some of the most memorable and meaningful settings ever featured in literature. Setting provides a unique opportunity, if chosen astutely, for the playwright to communicate narrative, and shape character, without having to explicitly or linguistically express it. I intend to focus The Merchant of Venice, Antony and Cleopatra, and Dr Faustus in order to display how setting directly affects the plot and often aids in forging our understanding of identities within the play. Through consideration of the implications and ideals attached to the settings presented throughout the texts, we can more accurately infer the sentiments of the writer and understand the ways in which place gives impetus to plot. What Is The Light Of Nature By Claude Monet There are three paintings about light of nature by Claude Monet, which are Impression Sunrise, Boulevard des Capucines, and Woman with a Parasol Madame Monet and Her Son. The first painting about light of nature is Impression Sunrise was completed by Claude Monet in 1872. This oil on canvas painting presents a misty morning scene of a French harbor as the artist stood on the shore observing the sunrise. Monet emphasized on natural lighting. The Sun is shown in the center slightly to the right of the picture. Boulevard des Capucines is set out in a crowded Parisian on a street on a winter day. This painting is vertically divided into two portions by trees in the middle. On the left side, underneath the tree branches, there are grey pigments that suggest roofs of horse carriages. On the other side, Monet used short dark bold brush stroke to indicate groups of people walking on snowy pavement. He used random composition on this oil canvas painting to overview the bustled Parisians. The high point of view perspective suggested that Monet painted this picture inside a building on the second floor where he looked through the window down to the boulevard. Muted tone is predominant in order to enhance the feeling of snowy day .The receding buildings in the back are behind the winter fog. Monet used bright blue reflecting onto the building s roof to contrast with the trees brown tone. The disparity of these two colors accentuate the sunlight that shine down from the above. Monet applied very little details to the painting. He used short and quick strokes which create gritty texture of to form individuals moving in a great haste. Purpose The purpose of the experiment is to see how the freezing process of ice cream is affected when different amounts of Sodium Chloride are added on the ice that is used to freeze it. Background Information The three most common states of matter are solid, liquid and gas. When a person has made ice cream, the ingredients go from a liquid to a solid state which is called freezing. In the liquid state, the substance s molecules are the most loosely packed of the three states of matter and have no definite volume. Because of this, they will usually take the shape of whatever container they are put into. The solid state however is the complete opposite. In this state, the molecules are tightly packed and are unable to move around freely. (Classifications of Matter) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Freezing point deprivation is when the freezing point of a solvent is lowered when a solute is added to it. In this case salt is being added to ice.
