3. Part 1 Before First Use
Charging the Camera
Before the first use, charge the camera for about one to two
hours via your PC or USB charger ( Power adapter should
be no more than 5V/1A).
Formatting the microSDCard
Before the first use, format the microSD card to FAT32 format
(applicable to Windows system ONLY). The camera only
supports class 10 microSD cards with at least an 8GB
capacity.It supports cards up to 32 GB.

Resetting the camera
If the camera malfunctions for any reason, reset it with
the included pin. A small paperclip can also be used.

Safety Precautions
Read this instruction manual carefully before using the camera.
It contains important information for your safety as well as
operating and maintenance instructions.
Follow all safety precautions in order to prevent damage due to
improper use of the camera.
Keep this user manual carefully for future use. Should this
camera be passed along to a third party, this user manual must
be handed on as well.
Use the camera only for its intended purpose.
In the event of improper use or erroneous handling, no liability
can be assumed for any possible damage which may occur.
Never try to repair the camera yourself. Only allow qualified
personnel to repair the camera in the event of malfunctions.
Warning! The camera is not waterproof. Never immerse the
camera in water or other liquids while cleaning or operating it.
Do not open the housing under any circumstances. Do not
introduce any metal objects into the interior of the housing.
Never use accessories which are not recommended by the
manufacturer.
Keep the camera away from all hot surfaces and naked flames.
Protect the camera from extreme heat and cold, dust, direct
sunlight, humidity and drops or jets of water.
Do not place any heavy objects on the camera.The manufacturer
is not responsible for any missing video data due to maloperation,
microSD card malfunctions,camera angle limitation, etc.

Warning on Invasion of Privacy
The camera should be used for legal purpose only. Follow
the laws of your country.Recording and circulating an image
of an individual may constitute an infringement of their
privacy for which you could be liable. Ask for authorization
before filming individuals, particularly if you want to keep
your recordings and/or circulate images on the Internet or
any other medium. Do not circulate a degrading image or
one which could undermine the reputation or dignity of an
individual.

(1)The camera power must be off before charging.
(2)Plug the USB cable both in the camera and in a computer
USB port or a 5V/1A adaptor (not included).The yellow
LED is on while charging. The charge time
is about one to two hours.
(3)The yellow LED turns off when the camera is fully charged.

Caution! Format the microSD before use. Doing this, however,
will remove all data from the card. Make sure to back up any
data before formatting.
(1) Only support a Class 10 microSD card with at least 8GB
capacity for recording.
(2) Do not remove the microSD card during operation. It will
damage both the memory card and camera.
(3) Push the microSD card into the memory card, slot gently
until it clicks into place. The card only fits one way, so do
not force the card into the port.
(4) To remove the microSD card, make sure the camera is
OFF. Press down on the microSD card and it will pop up,
you can then pull it out easily.
Please connect the camera to your PC and then turn on the
camera. After a few seconds the microSD card will be shown
as a removable disk.

3. Setting the Date and Time
Connecting the camera to your PC and then turn on the
camera. After a few seconds the microSD card will be shown
as a removable disk. Open the SETTIME.TXT file.
The following menu will be displayed:
Note: If you cannot find the file SETTIME.TXT after opening
the microSD on the computer, please record a video clip to
activate the card and set the date and time again. The date
and time will remain accurate unless the battery has been
depleted for long time.

Choosing the L Mode or HD Mode first and then turn on the
camera.
L Mode: The pixel is 460*360. The indicator light is Red.
Press and hold the Power to switch the camera on. The red
light flashing continually indicates that the camera is
recording in L mode. Press Power again to stop recording
and save the video. The LED lights up red and the camera is
in standby mode.

HD Mode: The pixel is 1280*720. The indicator light is Blue.
Press and hold the Power to switch the camera on. The blue
light flashing continually indicates that the camera is
recording in HD mode. Press Power again to stop recording
and save the video. The LED lights up blue and the camera
is in standby mode.
Note: If the camera switches off automatically, there are two
reasons:
1. The battery power is too low and the camera must be
charged.
2. The camera has been in standby mode without any
operation for longer than 1 minute. In this case, the camera
switches off to save battery power.
Note: If there is no microSD card inserted, the LED will flash
blue for 10 seconds.

2. How to Play a Video
Connecting the HD088 camera to your computer or using
the USB cable to connect the computer, press and hold the
Power Button for 2 seconds. After a few seconds, there will
be a removable disk shown on computer. Open it, and then
you'll see the Video file. Open it to play the videos.
3. Reset Function
If the camera crashed, such as the camera can not power
off, the indicator light always on or the data can not be read,
please reset it with the pin included.Use the supplied pin or
similar tool (like a paperclip) to reset your camera in case of
a malfunction. Press and hold the Reset Button for several
seconds to reset the camerato standard factory settings.

1.Q: What's the type of HD088's battery? How about the
capacity?
A: It's rechargeable Li-battery and the capacity is 720mAh.
2.Q: How long can it continue to work after fully charged?
A: About 5 hours.
3.Q: How larger of the Micro SD card can it support?
A: The Micro SD card should be larger than 8G or less than
32G. Kindly suggest to use the SD card larger than 16G.
4.Q: How long can it work when I use the 32G SD card?
A: 11.5 hours in L Mode and 3.5 hours in HD Mode.
5.Q: How long does HD088 take for fully charged?
A: About 2 hours with 5V/1A adapter.
6.Q: What should I do if the function button can't work?
A: Please reset the camera with the pin.
7.Q: What can I do if the computer can not recognize the
camera?
A: (1) Please check the USB port of the computer or connect
to another port.
(2) Restart the computer or reset the camera.

8.Q: What to do if the SD card can not save video or the
storage it's 0KB?
A: Please format the SD card or use other brand SD card.
Kindly suggest to use the SD card which is class 10 and
larger than 16G.

FAQs
9.Q: Why the resolution mode can not switch?
A: Please don't switch the mode while recording. It's better
to choose the resolution mode in advance.
10.Q: Why the date of the camera can not update?
A: Please check whether the SETTIME file save or not.
Don't change the original format of the date.
11.Q: Why the camera power off when the storage is full?
Isit can not loop recording?
A: Because you set “NO” in SETTIME file. It indeed has
loop recording mode. Please check the the second line
of the SETTIME file is “Yes” or “NO”.
12.Q: Why did I press the stop button but the camera still
recorded?
A: Do not press the button continuously when the camera
is recording. Wait for 1s after you press it and observe
the status of the indicator light.
13.Q: If camera is continuously left to record, will it
automatically save file?
A: Yes, it will save automatically.
