Essay On Jimhoo
Come on, he mumbled. Why were all these Kanto gyms using PokГ©mon not actually native to
Kanto? Ash mentally shrugged and observed the Chinchou. It was obviously a Water type
considering the gym, but the way Daisy called it out made it sound as though Pikachu s Electric
type attacks wouldn t work, and it honestly didn t appear to affected by the Thunder Wave
Pikachu already set up. The only other thing Pikachu had was Agility. He hadn t even perfected
his Quick Attack yet. Well, Flash of course, but that wouldn t do anything to Chinchou, whose
antennae lit up just as bright. Come back, Pikachu, Ash finally said. Pikachu s eye twitched and
he looked back at his Trainer in confusion. Pika? I have a plan. Just come back. He didn t... Show

Wrong move, she thought. Since you had the first move before, I get this one! Electro Ball,
Chinchou! What?! An Electric type?! It hit Ash, and he felt like an idiot. What else would the
yellow mean? Dodge it, Pidgeotto. Use Agility! A streaking beam followed Pidgeotto as she
easily dodged the cluster of volts hurled at her. Before the Electro Ball hit the ceiling, it burst
like a firework. A stream of bolts came down, but Pidgeotto dodged each one. Awesome! I know
Agility would be best in the long run. All right, Pidgeotto, use Gust! Pidgeo! She flapped her
wings rapidly, creating a fierce gale of wind that blasted right into Chinchou, knocking it right
into the water. Awesome job, Pidgeotto! Now, use Air Cutter to slice through the water! Ash
was very keen on teaching Pidgeotto new Flying type moves. So far he was up to three,
including Gust and Air Cutter. The last one was . . . well: And then use Aerial Ace! Aerial Ace
was a very powerful move that required such precision that it never missed. No matter how many
time a PokГ©mon tried to dodge, it would always hit them in the end. That s why Ash knew he
had to teach it to Pidgeotto as soon as possible. Even before Roost, which Gabby agreed to teach
Pidgeotto since Ash couldn t wrap his head around the mechanics of the move. It would ve been
useful when going up against Chinchou given it could eliminate Pidgeotto s weakness to Electric
type attacks. Pidgeotto shot out several attacks, cutting and

Heterozygotes, which have the wild type phenotype, have normal sight which gives them the
advantage of finding a mate and have a better success with attracting a mate with their courtship
song (Kyriacou et al, 1978). The male heterozygous Drosophila had a better advantage at mating
than the homozygotes, which were the ebony, and therefore we predict there will be more wild
type by the end of the experiment. METHODS: In this experiment, the instructor provided us
with 30 ebony individuals and 20 wild type individuals. In order to get an exact amount of each
type, we anesthetized the flies and counted them off by gently using a fine point paint brush.
Then all 50 Drosophila were put into a population cage which had a lid that had six holes for the
centrifuge tubes. Two food tubes and four clean, empty tubes were added on the first day. Each
food tube consisted of half a cup full of food mixed with 6 7 milliliters of water. This was the fly
medium. The food should turn blue once the water is added. Each tube was labeled with a
number and with the date. Every two to three days we added one more food tube until all 6 tubes
contained the fly medium. After all 6 tubes were filled, the following days after we exchanged the
first food tube with a new food tube. At the end of the experiment, we fed the flies with a total of
8 food tubes. Then the flies were anesthetized, again. At the end of this four week lab, the number

Utilization of Satellite Information to Screen Carbon...
Article 1 Overview: This study investigated the utilization of satellite information to screen carbon
monoxide (CO) and particulate matter (PM) in Northern Thailand throughout the dry season when
woodland flames are known to be a vital reason for air contamination. Satellite information,
incorporating Measurement of Pollution in the Troposphere (MOPITT) CO, Moderate Resolution
Imaging Spectroradiometer vaporized optical profundity (MODIS AOD), and MODIS fire
hotspots, were examined with air contamination information measured at nine programmed air
quality overseeing stations in the study range for February April months of 2008 2010. The
association examination indicated that every day CO and PM with size beneath 10 Ојm (Pm10)
were connected with the woodland fire hotspot include, particularly the country regions with the
most extreme relationship coefficient (R) of 0.59 for CO and 0.65 for Pm10. The correspondences
between MODIS AOD and Pm10, between MOPITT CO and CO, and between MODIS AOD and
MOPITT CO were additionally dissected, affirming the companionship between these variables.
Two backwoods fire scenes were chosen, and the scattering of contamination tufts was mulled over
utilizing the MOPITT CO downright segment and MODIS AOD information, together with the
surface wind vectors. The outcomes demonstrated consistency between the crest scatterings, areas
of thick hotspots, ground checking information, and common winds. The satellite information were

National Environmental Policy Act ( Nepa )
In the United States, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) was enacted on January 1, 1970
and Environmental Protection Agency began operation December 2, 1970. In many developed
countries, since 1960s growing awareness about the side effects of unrestricted development and
industrialisation had pressured policymakers to establish environmental policies and agencies.
During that period, the policies were designed to focus on prompt and remedial action plans rather
than prevention tools. As a result, Command and Control (CAC) approach became the dominant
tool which is comprised of setting environmental standards (command) and penalising non
complied actions (control).
The experience with CAC during 70s and 80s suggests that the regulatory policies in practice cost
far greater than expected. Since CAC has been introduced by many countries, economists focused
on the economic evaluation of the approach in terms of its efficiency and cost effectiveness. Some
studies suggest that the environmental standards mandated by governments are hard to be set at an
efficient level because of legislative constraints, imperfect information, regional differences and non
uniformity of pollutants. Another issue with CAC is associated with enforcement problems such as
costs of monitoring and administration.
For the reasons mentioned above, new approach has been recommended by many economists. The
new policy is called Economic Instrument (EI) which provides incentives to companies or

Normally in Texas the temperatures usually don t fluctuate that much. It s normally colder north

the weather and climate of Texas past. We will start in the decade of 1940 s and move to 50 s and

Upper Coast, South Central Texas and the Edwards Plateau (Nielsen Gammon).
The Forty s begins with so much rain, the state records 40 inches or more making it the wettest

Social Roles In Leo Tolstoy s Anna Karenina
Leo Tolstoy s Anna Karenina is a novel that centers around the affairs and deeds of a group Russian
nobles during the reformations of late 1800s. While the main affair of the story between the titular
Anna Karenina and her lover Alexei Vronsky takes the centers stage, Tolstoy was not hesitant to
show how the changes within the real Russian society affected the nobles inside the novelof his
novel. Characters such Vronsky, Alexei Karenin, Konstantin LГ«vin, and Stepan Oblonsky, or Stiva
, each live their own lives within the upper echelons of social classand live with a mix of a rigid
regimen within their social caste or a carefree lifestyle and react differently as the events of the
story and real life events of Tolstoy s time conflict with the characters. Tolstoy s characters have a
strong habit of either representing a different set of views and opinions that affect each other
though the novels in various different ways depending on their social positions. Even their own
interpersonal relationships are affected both intnetinally and un intentionally by their own stances
and opinions on real life reforms that Tolstoy uses as both a motivator and a backdrop within his
novel. To start off with, Alexei Karenin represents an aristocratic government who s a staunch
believer within maintaining the status quo of his own social standing. Karenin seems more
focused on his career as a civil servant than his family, spending very little time with his wife and
child, even after his

The Four Stages Of Sleep Research
The human brain is complex and the way the body advances is through sleep. Sleep allows the
body to rest, repair and rejuvenate itself. The brain is responsible for wave patterns called alpha
and beta waves that through a series of stages, produces what we know as non rapid eye
movement (NREM), and rapid eye movement (REM) sleep. At the beginning of sleep, our
minds are relatively active, conscience, and producing beta waves, which are small and fast. The
brain begins to produce alpha waves when it relaxes and starts to slow down. At this point, it is
possible to have lucid or strange events called hypnagogic hallucinations, which can be responsible
for you having episodes of seeing and hearing things as you are falling asleep or sudden... Show

John Brown Hero
Is John Brown a hero or a murderer? While growing up in an ideal Christian family his parents,
Owen and Ruth Mills Brown, raised their children of eight to obey the teachings of the Bible. The
Browns would teach the importance of treating colored men with respect and to treat them just like
regular people. As John Brownfather was a known abolitionist during his time, he would follow
into his father s footsteps and become the man that the world knows today. Many believe that
John Brown being how he was raised was brainwashed into becoming a strict believer of equality
for all men or that religion was a cover up for being a mass murderer. Historians like Robert E.

The government during this time did not consider John Brown a hero at all. He was a martyr,
straight cold blooded killer and murderer to the government at that time just because Brown
fought for slaves. Historians would characterize his actions as an act of terrorism. However
slaves, former slaves and abolitionist consider John Brown as a hero to them. John Brown should
be considered a hero in all history textbooks. Brown gave each and every ounce of his body to
make sure slavery was abolished. Even though John Brown did not achieve that goal, he was
able to pave the way for the abolishment of slavery and equality for all citizens living in the
United States of America. Frances Ellen Watkins Harper adored the actions of John Brown. She
heavily believed in him and would support him in any way. Harper would even send money to
his family after we was captured and in jail for his actions. Frances Ellen Watkins Harper praises
John Brown for his bravery at Harper s Ferry and does not believe that a martyr would do
something so heroic.(footnote Harper) A transcendentalist, Henry David Thoreau, was also a fan

Essay On In Vitro Studies
Discussion:
In vitro studies are considered as a preclinical research and of important significance, as before
carrying out clinical trials, the safety and effectiveness of new drugs are examined In vitro first.
However, unlike clinical studies on humans, preclinical studies are far enough, by 2002, the lancet

Distopian is a society or place that is unpleasant and bad. Dystopian movies are often based on
themes that play out in the real world. The dystopian movie I am Legend by Francis Lawrence
has a theme of Loss of Humanity. I am Legend is about a woman who spread around a cure or

on the island. Dr. Robert Neville is trying to find a cure to the virus that affected the the entire

The butterfly is one symbol from the movie that relates to the theme of Loss of Humanity. The
butterfly was constantly used throughout the entire movie as a way for change in the life of
humanity. Near the end of the movie Robert Neville remembered what his daughter told him,
Look Daddy, it s a butterfly. This relates back to theme of Loss of Humanity because it shows
Robert Neville about his own personal destiny. Also, it the butterfly goes back to show him that

The Development Of Qin Shi Huang In China
Power. It is a concept that has always been part of human societies regardless of time period or
area. Though expressed in different ways and structures, it was and still is part of human
civilizations today. However, within the establishments of power, many conflicts arise for both
those in power and those governed by the rulers, such as problems over the selection of new
authority figures and the retainment of their power. This conflict can be recognized from the ruling
of Qin Shi Huangin China in the mid 200s BC. He is well known for uniting the Chinese states
during the Warring States Period, in which the country was broken up into states that were in a war
for dominance (Mark). Shi Huang ultimately founded the Qin Dynasty and worked to improve
humanity by helping construct the Great Wall for defense and the Lingqu Canal for commerce
(Mark). However, he later began to threaten those who refused to comply with his ideas, and he
became more concerned with becoming immortal and keeping his power (Szczepanski).
Due to his obsessive desire over the idea of immortality and maintaining his imperial status in the
afterlife, Qin Shi Huang decided to recreate the entire Chinese empire underground as his tomb
(Szczepanski). About 700,000 laborers were hired to build this mausoleum over a course of 36
years; more than 8,000 unique, life size terracotta soldiers as well as horses, chariots, jewelry, and
ritual ships were created ( Qin Tomb ). These terracotta soldiers each had

Rhyme Schemes In Poetry
In many occasions, people may find poems without rhyme schemes uninteresting, bland, or
maybe not even poems at all. Though rhyme is not necessarily needed to make a poem good, it
is a technique used by poets to create emphasis on certain aspects of specific themes they are
trying to express. Rhyme schemes may contribute to the mood or tone of a piece, or even be
used to create a certain rhythm or flow. Poems like Sound and Sense by Alexander Pope, That
Time of Year by the famous William Shakespeare, and We Wear the Mask by Paul Laurence
Dunbar, are perfectly good examples of professionals taking their writing to the next level with a
touch of rhyme. Each of these authors have contributed greatly to the art of writing, and though
their situations, or motives, for writing the poems may be different, their effective use of the
different schemes help the authors create a certain feeling to each verse in their work. The rhyme
schemes in Sound and Sense, That Time of Year, and We Wear the Mask contribute to the author s
feelings on vital situations they face through their daily life.
In Sound and Sense, Alexander Pope shows off his abilities as a poet through his use of rhyme in
an iambic pentameter, to reveal how talented he is. It is true that Pope can be considered the
creator of heroic couplets and his creation is truly one of the best contributions to the poetry
community. A heroic couplet is when two lines are rhymed in a iambic pentameter scheme and Pope

General Description Of Noise Control Systems
Literature review
General description
Noise control is an engineering problem that can be found in almost every field of industry
maintaining safe noise levels in industry to ensuring a comfortable experience in air travel, motor
vehicles and general consumer goods. A major factor in the design of noise control systems is the
materials being used, producing the best results requires the use of the most appropriate materials,
and this in turn necessitates empirical values for how a substance affects the behaviour of sound.
These values are commonly established using an impedance tube, of which there are several
variations, made up of a set of base components. The bare minimum required for an impedance tube
to function is a speaker and signal generator to produce a soundwave, a tube within which the
material is tested, a mount for the material being tested generally with a hard backing, and a sensor
within the tube to take readings. Most tubes contain additional equipment and have strictly
controlled dimensions and materials to maximise their efficacy and the accuracy of the readings.
Dynamic microphone variation

Should The Responsiveness Of Margaret Thatcher s Time As...
There s no doubt that Margaret Thatcher s time as Prime Minister changed the way Britain saw
itself and how it was seen on the international stage, but what can be debated is whether or not
she was elected due to her own party s strengths, or the weaknesses of the opposition. The years
before and during Thatcher s time were fraught for the country, with inflation running high and
lots of discontent, displayed not only through strikes but also the via ballot boxes. Thatcher first
came to power with a majority of 43 seats for her first government in May 1979, which rose to 144
seats in June 1983 and in June 1987 she received her third victory with a 100 seat margin, a sharp
drop from 1983 but still a comprehensive victory. A majority of 144

Romeo And Juliet Forbidden Love Quotes
In Shakespeare s Romeo Juliet , the 13 year old protagonist is faced with the tempting idea of
forbidden love. The true factor, which inevitably leads to Juliet s demise, was her lack of
experience in love, life, and marriage. Juliet s lack in experience was what brought her to meet
her end. But problems always originate from how one was raised, brought up, and grown into
the world by surrounding adults. In Juliet s case, her constant supervision was the nurse s
responsibility. In a way, the nurse fed Juliet s addiction to Romeo, even encouraged it at times.
Then hie you hence to Friar Lawrence s cell. There stays a husband to make you a wife. (III.v.
169) This quote demonstrates the fact that the nurse, instead of trying to steer Juliet off the path
of forbidden love, is in fact, helping her obtain a life with Romeo. While it is admirable that the
nurse cares for Juliet and wishes for her to live a happy life, the nurse s love for Juliet blinded her
ration and ability to think clearly. In turn, after having the adult that raised you accept your wishes,
no matter how inane they are, Juliet now, even more so than before, feels as though a life with
Romeo is the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For instance, this quote demonstrates the fact that Juliet is already willing to give up her family
name, in return for a life with Romeo. Perhaps, if Romeo was not there to hear her thoughts at the
moment, Juliet would have had the ability to dwell on her views a bit more, and in turn, realize
how soon everything was happening. Therefore, she would attempt to slow down the course of
action their relationship was obviously taking. First love is always exciting, but one has to keep
their head throughout it. Juliet simply jumped right in, headfirst, not a thought in mind of neither
the consequences nor the costs of her making rash choices at her 13 years, without pondering them

A Sorority Is A Subculture Or A Segment Of Society s...
All around the world sororities are a subculture or a segment of society s population on most
college campuses (Macionis 64). These sororities have their own language, norms, beliefs, and
values. Most college campuses have many charters or different sororities to choose from when a
student wants to pledge a sorority. On the Saint Francis University campus, there are seven
sororities that a female student can belong to. Each sorority has a different philanthropy which
is a foundation that the sorority stands behind. For example Delta Phi Epsilon stands behind the
Educational Foundation, this foundation helps women get the education that they deserve.
Sororities are known for creating a bond between girls that last a life time. The sororities have their
own language, they use words like pledge, bid, big, little, active, lavaliere, letters, and philanthropy.
A pledge is a person who accepts a bid, and a bid is an invitation to a specific chapter at their school
(Nakagoshi 1). When a female student wants to pledge a sorority they interview for a bid and the
sorority decides if they want to have the new student pledge or not. If the pledge gets the bid then
the student gets a big, a big is an older girl who has been part of the sorority for a year of more, and
the big is like a big sister they are supposed to care of their little or new pledge (Nakagoshi 1). An
active is a member of the sorority that has been part of the sorority for a few years. When a sister is

History and Albert Einstein Albert Einstein was one of the greatest physicists of all time. His early
life demonstrated his fascination with science. Einstein s work changed how people viewed the
entire universe.
Einstein s was born on the 14th of March in 1879. He grew up in Ulm, Germany. Einstein had an
irregular education because he was always moving schools. Though being thrown around to many
schools he read many popular books on science. By the age of 17 he started attending the Federal
Polytechnic Academy in Zurich, Switzerland. While there Einstein studied physics and mathematics.
In 1905 Einstein was awarded his PH.D. from the University of Zurich. 1905 was also the year
that historians refer to has Einstein s miracle year . During this time he was wrote and published
five theoretical papers. One of these papers titled On a Heuristic Viewpoint Concerning the
Production and Transformation of Light, Einstein talked about how he believed that light is made
up of many photons that have particle like properties and behave like a wave. Einstein s work

time and space are not absolute, but relative to the motion of the observer. Thus, two observers

in time at the same moment, nor necessarily agree in their measurements of space. History.com also
stated In Einstein s theory, the speed of light, which is the limiting speed of any body having mass,
is constant in all frames of reference. In the fifth paper that year, an exploration of the mathematics
of special relativity, Einstein announced that mass and energy were equivalent and could be

Government Shutdown Summary
Jarvis (2014) asserted that during the shutdown, more than one third of the government workforce
was furloughed because their position was not deemed excepted. Government management official
was left to sort out what positions were excepted or non excepted with a mere understanding of
contractual terms (Brass, 2014; Curren, 2015). Rep. Alan Grayson, D Fla., added that the
governmentshutdown stagnates the economy and disrupts federal employees ability to do their
jobs (Katz, 2015). This literature review will be broken into four sections: (a) government

Euripides Medea Comparison
In Diane Arnson Svarlien s translation of Euripides Medea, the playwright encrypted a hidden
message in the play Medea that portrays the same theme as J.K Rowling s Harry Potter and the
Prisoner of Azkaban which are: identity, and relationship. To back this up, the first half of the play
is talking about the story of why Medeasplit up with Jasonand Medeamentions that men, like
Jason, treats women with betrayal. She then clarifies the idea by saying disgraceful things about
her husband and ignores Jason s reasoning on why he has to marry off with someone. The reason
why she is considered as other is, she is misunderstood of the actions she had done such as
murdering her children while she was a little paranoid.
One way to prove Medea misunderstands her role as an other is, she is lacking at her citizenship
status. To give an example, according to lines 33 39, Friends talk to her, try to give her good
advice; she listens the way a rock does or an ocean wave. At most, she ll turn her pale neck aside,
sobbing to herself for her dear father, her land, her home, and all that she betrayed for Jason,
who now holds her in dishonor. Medea gave all the effort she can in order to help Jason to
retrieve his golden fleece before this melodrama happened. Eventually, she exiled the first time
when she falls in love with Jason and exiled again due to Jason s Betrayal. Speaking of Jason s
Betrayal, Medea doesn t know what Jason is up to at first because she married off with Jason

The Duel Essay
In reviewing John Lukacs, The Duel, I noticed that the author has other intentions in mind besides
the facts. Lukacs gives a very precise account of the actualy events during those eighty days but in
my opinion he wants the reader to grab the bigger concepts. One of these concepts is that Lukacs
wants the reader to honestly consider just how close the Allies came to losing the war. Another of
these notions is the idea that the main difference between Churchill and Hitler concerned
nationalism versus patriotism and a third idea is just how greatly history can be effected by the
courageous decisions of a few people.Lukacs makes strong mention of how close Hitler came to
victory.
Hitler got everything he wanted for so long, without even ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

We can all understand this, especially when looking back at the horror of WWII. Hitler abused the
idea of nationalism and thet is why the author made sure not to leave this footnote out of his book.
Hitler got the german people to follow him under this demented idea that Germany should be
considered better than everybody else, and yet it is astonishing that nobody seemed to noticed that
Hitler was not even a German. Lukacs wants the reader to raise these questions to themselves so
they can see how unique this entire situation was.
The idea that the entire course of history is changed by the decisions of a few people is a very
important notion in the book. The hesitance of Hitler in early July is especially important and vital
to the outcome of the war. Lukacs depicts the two men differently then one would expect. In this
evaluation, Hitler does not want to attack Britain. He wants them to simply make peace, of course
on his terms.
He was not sure if England would go for this, and if they did not, he knew that the time had come
to force them to do so. He could not shake Churchill, no matter how many other leaders crumbled.
Hitler s generals wanted to use force, but Hitler remained reluctant. The author effectively exhibits
Hitler s hesitance. He makes the evil man seem human saying that Hitler wanted to make a peace
proposal on a great and generous scale. (159). However, it

My Special Place Of Voyageurs National Park
My special place is a campsite called Day Maker 23 located on a small island on Namaken Lake
in Voyageurs National Park. Voyageurs National Park is located in Orr Minnesota just south of
the Canadian border. It is also located on the Eastern edge of the Canadian Shield. An exposed
area of Precambrian stone. My island does not have a specific name, but it appears to be a break
off of Sweetnose island in the Blind Indian Narrows located at 48В°26 33.7 N 92В°46 33.0 W.
Day Maker 23 is unique in that its location causes a division in current going through the narrows
causing stronger currents towards the west side of the island. This was a phenomenon that we
often had to deal with as the current would push our boat against the only dock on the island
located on the western point. The only campsite on the island was also located on the western
point, but was significantly more elevated than its rocky shoreline. This elevation, coupled with
the island s location caused for a constant breeze to blow over the campsite (Appendix D). Day
Maker 23 had a very rocky shoreline characterized by many of the islands within Voyageurs
National Park. These rocks vary in size, with some rocks having large cracks with small caves
(Appendix C). The rocks around the shoreline were typically light grey in color with some
variations in texture and crystal size. (Appendix B) I do not remember the rocks being particularly
sandy, however, I have also not been to the site in four to five years. These

The color line was used in reference of segregation that existed after slavery ended. Many would
say that Du Bois view on race still exists in today s generation. I personally believe that race plays a
major role in our daily lives. Over the past few years we have seen so many different actions that
have taken place regarding race. In 1866, it was stated that the Jim Crow laws were declared
unconstitutional, but in 2017 African Americans feel as if they still face the Jim Crow laws in
different situations. Blacks continue to be treated differently, especially within the criminal justice

It was said to me all throughout my college career how important it is to be a Black. As a
Criminal Justice major with a minor in Sociology at Clark Atlanta University, the work and

culture more than ever before. W.E.B Dubois contributions to sociological theory such as civil
rights, education and economic opportunities for people of color are strongly talked about at Clark
Atlanta University.
History is clearly repeating itself dealing with the way African Americans are perceived and
treated. Even though there are several African Americans who know their worth, it can sometimes
be hard to face challenges, such as inequality issues due to race in 2017. After hearing so many
stories about our ancestors who fought for equality rights, who would ever thought that minorities
would be still fighting in today s generation all over again. In the 2016 2017 Presidential Election

The Social Marketing Aspects Of Twitter

literatures that address on the social marketing aspects of Twitter. With the growing accessibility of
the internet, social media does not only change the dynamics of sustaining human relationships (O

center their marketing strategy on social media branding because active engagement implies the

alternative to reporting and accessing emergencies news such as earthquakes and political

biggest brands such as McDonalds and KFC manipulate their tweets on Twitter and uncover the
type of messages that both food giants deliver. There has been a mixture of views among
researchers regarding the success measurements of social marketing (Baumgartner, 2014). The
importance of maximising tweets in social branding is emphasized in Keller (2007) s study.
Regardless of the nature of the tweet material, Keller argues that the more frequent a brand tweets,
the more probably it will attend to specific customers. While

Peter Singer on Equality
In recent years a lot of suppressed groups have worked in an organized and active way towards
one particular goal: equality. The typical example is the Black Liberation movement, which insisted
on putting an end to the prejudice and discrimination that has made them inferior to other people.
The instant call of the black liberation movement and its success became an ideal for other
oppressed groups to go after. During the time other movements started to develop, putting the focus
on such issues as gay, women s and African American rights. Peter Singer gave a start to animal
rightsmovement, paying particular attention to how in former time permissible types of
discrimination and prejudice came to be seen as unjustly and dishonestly bias towards specific set
of people and that the hour has come for a much the same dedication to the moral and legal
entitlement of species that walk on four legs instead of two.
Singer starts his argument by supposing that the principle of equality or principle of equal
consideration of interests is a basic moral principle, which implies treating the interests of all
people as equally significant in spite of gender, color, or sexual orientation. Then he puts forward
the idea that we should reinterpret the theory of equality so that it relate not only just to all human
being but also to all sentient beings, by which he refers to all beings that have the ability to suffer
or enjoy happiness. Suffering is immoral, so we should stop

Systemic Psychodynamic Coaching in the Workplace
Systemic Psychodynamic Coaching in the Workplace: Workplace coaching is a term that refers to
the process of equipping people in the working environment with necessary tools, opportunities, and
knowledge for total development in order to enhance their effectiveness from an individual,
organizational, and work perspective. Workplace coaching has emerged as a major concept in
modern organizations since leaders, researchers, and organizations have identified it as a crucial
competency in leadership and management (Cacioppe, n.d.). The increase in this practice has also
been attributed to the fact that employees continue to request for coaching. As an important
competency in leadership and management, workplace coaching has assumed different
perspectives and approaches because of the existence of various coaching models such as Systemic
Psychodynamic Coaching model. The Concept of Workplace Coaching: As previously mentioned,
the concept of workplace coaching can be defined as the knowledge, skills, and processes through
which people engage themselves in making the maximum impact and continually developing
themselves and organizations in light of constant change. While this coaching process utilizes
similar communication processes with therapy or counseling, it is not the same as counseling or
therapy. The difference between the two is attributed to the fact that therapy focuses on resolution

Self Dehumanization
Power allows people to control outcomes with respect to both the environment and the self . This
control is considered to be a fundamental human need ; therefore, it follows that powerlessness will
disrupt an individual s sense of humanity, which coincides with the fact that many civilizations have
equated power deprivation with humbleness, lowliness, and fewer expressed human traits. We
based the current study on this notion in order to demonstrate that perceived powerlessness induces
self dehumanization.
The world is changing rapidly. From the Stone Ageto the Iron Age today we are living in an
ultramodern era where things which were not even thought of earlier have become vital
necessities in our life. For example, light in those ages was to be got only from sun for a limited
part of day. But now we have electricity for all time use. Thanks to Thomas Alva Edison who by
inventing electricity illuminated the whole world.
Now we can t think life without electricity. In big cities everything depends upon it. We find
ourselves completely paralysed whenever there is power failure in our area. Electricity provides all
comforts of life and life would be completely different in absence of it.

Each product is different in some way from the one just made prior. There are thousands of
variables that affect thousands of characteristics of a product. In an environment that is constantly
changing, it may not be feasible to measure every characteristic of the product. There are no tools to
detect every characteristic. What is critical is to control the important parameters of the process
throughout the product life cycle. This helps to ensure that the quality is built into the product as it
is manufactured. What most companies do is select a handful of characteristics considered to be
important to their customer. They measure those few to ensure that they meet customer
requirements. They perform their 100% inspection, and if the product passes it is shipped to the
customer. They are very surprised when they get a phone call from the customer that their product
ruined the customer s lot and not only does their customer want their money back but they want to

David Halberstam s Report
As an author of 21 books about topics such as war, politics, history and sports as well as receiving
a Pulitzer Prize, David Halberstam was a successful journalist and author. Halberstam s interest of
journalism started when he was writing for his school newspaper at Roosevelt High in Yonkers,
New York. When he was attending Harvard, he worked as the managing editor at the student run
newspaper, The Harvard Crimson. When he graduated from college with a degree in journalism, he
moved to West Point, Mississippi where he was a reporter for The Daily Times Leader. However,
his editor didn t approve of him reporting about issues of race and civil rights. Issues of race and
civil rights were topics that he felt strongly about so he decided to move to Nashville where he...

Kennedy. But, he was later transferred to a Saigon bureau to cover the Vietnam War, which
would be the story that earned him a Pulitzer Prize. During his time in Vietnam, It was his job to
report back to America about how the war was going on what was happening on the battlefield,
whether the news was good or bad. When he returned to the United States in 1964, he had
received the Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting for his coverage of the war. In the mid 1960
s, Halberstam went to Poland to report about the Civil Rights Movement in Warsaw, where he
ended up marrying an actress, ElЕјbieta CzyЕјewska. But Halberstam s criticism of Poland s
dictatorship at the time resulted in expulsion from the country. After he and his wife went back to
New York, he left The New York Times to focus on writingbooks and magazine articles. The first
book he had published was The Best and the Brightest in 1972. It talked about President Kennedy s
foreign policy decision about the Vietnam War. From then, he had written 21 books about sports,

Arguments Against School Uniforms
District 230 should not mandate a school uniform policy because of the following: school uniforms
go against our rights, raise questions of equality, and they rely on anti democratic principles.
(MP1)To start, school uniforms go against rights in the first amendment like: freedom of religion,
and freedom of speech. (EV)Robson states in his Viewpoint, ВЁSymbols or words on clothes are
most likely to clear the speech hurdle; they will then be evaluated against the disruption standard
articulated by the Supreme Court in the watershed case Tinker vs. Des Moines Independent
Community School District. Tinker involved students wearing black armbands to protest the war in
Vietnam. Borrowing from civil rights cases, the court decided for the protesters:... Show more

(CO)Likewise, If district d230 decided to make uniforms required, then history may repeat itself,
and our speech rights may be censored as students due to the uniform dress code.
(MP2)Furthermore, I disagree the d230 uniform policy because they raise questions of equality.
(EV)Robson also states in his Viewpoint, ВЁSchool dress codes also raise questions of equality.
Gender specific guidelines for hair, jewelry and cosmetics are being tested, especially by
transgender students. Bans on saggy pants or Afro puffs are applied to all students but can be
seen as racially biased. Outlawing sweat pants or frayed garments might well have a
disproportionate effect, depending on a family s economic status, although this argument would be
more persuasive to a school board making policy than to a court applying constitutional doctrineВЁ
(Robson). (AN)Schools are putting gender specific guidelines on things like hair, jewelry, and
cosmetics. Schools are also putting bans on things like afros, and saggy pants, which can be seen as
racial discrimination. (CO)If district d230 decided to mandate uniforms, then some students feel feel

Media s Growing Sexualization Of Women
If you turn on the television or flip through a fashion magazine, it is very likely you will presented
with many displays of hypersexualization of girls and women in advertising images and in media.
There are many components to sexualization. It occurs, according to the American Psychological
Association, when a person s value comes only from his or her sexual appeal or behavior, to the
exclusion of other characteristics. This person is held to a standard that equates physical
attractivenesswith being sexy. Sexualizationhappens when a person is sexually objectified that is,
made into a thing for others sexual use, rather than being seen as a person with their own
independent actions and abilities to make decisions. Oftentimes, sexuality is inappropriately
imposed upon a person without their knowing it or consent. Sometimes, researchers use the word
hypersexualization to describe roughly the same idea. In the article, Media s Growing
Sexualization of Women , hypersexualization is defined as, The act of making something
extremely sexual and erotic. The hypersexualization of females is fairly prevalent across different
cultures. The media seems to be bombarded by it; magazines are plastered with risque images of
barely clothed womanand even young girls. In 2011, a French issue of Vogue featured females as
young as ten years old as models, Stretched and slinked on an array of animal furs. Their clothing
was low cut and revealing. This prompted the French

Patent And Trade Secret Protection
When issuing a compulsory license, the effect is to exempt the user who produces the patented
substance or uses technology from liability of infringement. If a patentee applies for a patent for a
newly discovered or an alienated substance, or a synergy of entities, she is not required to disclose
the know how to the public. Therefore, she can retain the information undisclosed as trade secrets.
Ordinarily, companies use patentand trade secret protection together in a synergistic manner to
enhance exclusivity as a common strategy. As a result, if the user of a compulsory license does not
comprehend the know how, then the production of the final product would eventually come to
naught. Under the situation of a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nonetheless, arbitrariness is inevitable due to analytical difficulties faced by examiners and courts.
Without setting up a utility model, examiners and courts are plagued by hindsight bias in the U.S.,
let alone to say having a sub requirement as such. Section 3(d) of the IPA is also designed to
narrow the scope of patent protection, notwithstanding it has a definite goal preventing

nowadays pharmaceutical practices. This thesis considers an explanatory note is a workable
solution to comply with the non discrimination obligation under article 27.1 of the TRIPS.
2.The Capability of the Patent Office The Indian Patent Office (IPO) has full authority under law
to determine what is patentable and what should be excluded from patentability if the condition

Michael Dwayne Vickk
Michael Dwayne Vick was drafted first overall in the 2001 draft by the Atlanta Falcons. Vick
brought a skill set that the NFL had never seen before. He gave the quarterback a new meaning,
besides just throwing. Vick could pass with pinpoint accuracy but he could also run the ball. It
was something that was unheard of in the NFL then. He was leading the NFL in passing and
rushing. He was on top of the NFL world, and then his major flaw came into effect. His major
flaw was that he got into illegal dog fighting. He had this whole business dedicated to dog fighting.
On August 27, 2007, Vick was charged with illegal dog fighting (Aldf.org). From there, everything
went downhill very quickly . In my opinion, I believe Michael Vickwas rightfully convicted... Show

He brought a skill that no one in the NFL had ever seen. It brought a new excitement to
quarterbacks that were able to run. When the scandals hit, they changed everything for him. I
don t know why Vick thought it was a good idea to illegally gamble while in the NFL, but that
was his own choice. He had everything going for him, then he went and messed his life up with
the scandal. This scandal changed Vick for the worse, football wise. He came back, but was
never the same Vick you used to hear on Sportscenter s highlights. He really did deserve all those
punishments that the NFL and court system had put on him. He made bad choices and the court
system made sure he was not going to get away with it. I believe Michael Vick was rightfully

Golan Heights
1.What is the significance of the Golan Heights?
Situated in the upland region of south western Syria, the Golan Heights borders southern Lebanon,
north western Jordan, and north eastern Israel. According to the BBC profile on the Golan
Heights, the region is a rocky plateau overlooking southern Syria and its capital Damascus from
the Israeli vantage point up to 40 miles north, thus serving as a strategic site for Israel to monitor the
activities of the Islamic State and Syrian rebel groups that have their bases in the area. Although
the region was under Syrian control, Israel seized it from Syria in the 1967 Six Day War which
Syria, along with Egypt and Jordan, lost. To this day, the loss of the Golan Heights is an open
wound in Syria and it was in the Six Day War that the newly elected and very young Hafiz al
Assad was jolted into maturity. Syria tried to take the region back in the ... Show more content on

The IS leader is not in contact with many people and has been unaccounted for since his alleged
death last year but has continued to influence radicalized young men and women to commit acts

cohesive militia in the Middle East, pulling in thousands of new recruits. Whereas al Qaeda was
seemingly a myth in the U.S. and western Europe in the sense that the U.S. had them at bay and
because of incompetent leadership, IS is seen as the most dangerous jihadist group in the world

The Art Of Paintings
The goal of my creative project was to create various splatter paint works that each represented a
key human emotion. I settled on just three and I chose joy, anxiousness, and depression. I bought
three 8 by 10 inches blank canvases to do my work on, paint, and an assortment of brushes. Before
I started I looked up a video on different splatter paint techniques, and I became interested in adding
some texture to my artwork, so the first paintingI worked on, representing joy, I added some
saltwater to it and actual grains of salt. I really wanted this artwork to stand out from the other
two, because of how different this emotion is. The canvas has a yellow background, because I
wanted all the bright colors I used to really pop on the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I knew this activity would be messy, but I did enjoy it and I learned that you really can t go wrong
with a splatter painting. No matter what you do, it is going to be interesting in way, because no
one has done something like it before.
I really enjoyed splatter painting, it was an enjoyable way of just showing my creativity and
letting my mind flow. I think it would be even better to do this with a friend rather than just by
yourself, and next time I will mix other paint colors to create more interesting colors. The
creation showed me that I m capable of doing at least one thing that is artistic, before I would say
that I couldn t even draw a straight line correctly. These three artworks are important to me,
because I have never created art that I am proud of, this is the first time that has ever happened. I
am satisfied with my result, I expressed everything in the way I imagines it. I m not sure that
people could just as readily recognize what emotions each canvas represents, but that doesn t bother
me, I d rather just get some type of reaction out of them than nothing.
I do consider the part of my brain that comes out with ideas to be creative, but there are times that
I can t just make my own idea, I need inspiration from many diverse sources first. I do think my
artwork shows imagination, because I

As per a study conducted in 2009, obese people who consumed 15 ml to 30 ml of acetic acid
(apple cider vinegar) diluted with water for about 12 weeks, experienced a significant decrease in
weight gain, abdominal fat, waist circumference and triglycerides. Another reason apple cider
vinegar helps in maintain weight is its ability to reduce appetite, which again is because of the
presence of acetic acid in it.
Improves digestion Apple cider vinegar is useful for people suffering from digestive problem
and stomach issues like reflux, bloating and indigestion. This benefit of apple cider vinegar is
because of the presence of pectin in it. Pectin creates fibrous materials which breaks up diarrhea
and also coats the lining of colon which prevents intestinal spans. To achieve this benefit, it is
advisable to take one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar before each meal.
Boosts Energy Apple cider vinegar is rich in potassium and enzymes. Because of this, consumption
of apple cider vinegar can result in awakening feeling, the same one that we get from sipping
caffeine. Consuming apple cider vinegar along with little bit of honey and water can keep us feel
refreshed and energetic throughout the

Exploring The Possibilities Of Discovering The Neural...
Exploring the possibilities of discovering the neural correlates of visual consciousness
In the ongoing strive to better understand the mechanism of consciousness, the possibility of
discovering the neural correlates of consciousness (NCCs) is arguably the leading agenda in its
scientific research. Although the question of whether consciousness can be fully reduced to its
neural correlates remains debatable, it is still credible that whenever an appropriate brain process
occurs, the associated subjective experience follows (Chalmers, 2013). Thus, this essay will
demonstrate that it is plausible that the minimal brain processes necessary for a conscious percept
can be experimentally narrowed down to a smaller coalition of neurons. Understandably, the
complexity of the cortical system that is yet to be fully deciphered, along with the technological
difficulties in obtaining essential data has hindered the search for the NCCs and have lead some to
doubt the possibility of ever locating it (Fins Plum, 2004). It is also likely that there are numerous
NCCs, each associated with different modalities, which complicates the task further (Chalmers,
2013). For the purpose of this essay, the possibilities of discovering the neural correlates of visual
consciousness are discussed in particular. This essay aims to define the foundational concepts of the
science of consciousness, outline the experimental projects in finding the neural correlates of visual
consciousness, and address

The Security Administration ( Tsa )
Following the terrorist attacks of 9/11, congress passed sweeping changes to the security of aviation
and border protection in the United States. Three agencies were significantly impacted by these
changes and the aftermath of 9/11: Transportation Security Administration (TSA), U.S. Customs
and Border Protection (CBP), and Federal Air Marshal (FAM). However, 14 years later is important
to review the changes which were implemented by sweeping popularity following 9/11 and evaluate
their effectiveness. The Transportation Security Administration(TSA) was established by the
Aviation and Security Act signed into law on November 19, 2001. The Aviation and Security Act
required the TSA complete more than 30 mandates by the end of 2002. In March 2003, TSA was
transferred to the newly established Department of Homeland Security from the Department of
Transportation (Transportation Security Administration). As of 2014, the TSA has an annual
budget of $7.9 Billion and employs 62,000 people. However, there is evidence that the TSA may
not be effective based on the cost. George Leef, a Forbes contributor, cited a Government
Accountability Office (GAO) regarding the Screening of Passengers by Observation Techniques
(SPOT). The SPOT program relies on the premise that government observers in airports can detect
individuals who are intent on terrorism based on behavioral clues. The report issued by the GAO
states that it is ineffective they concluded: The subjectivity of the SPOT

  • 2. Essay On Jimhoo Come on, he mumbled. Why were all these Kanto gyms using PokГ©mon not actually native to Kanto? Ash mentally shrugged and observed the Chinchou. It was obviously a Water type considering the gym, but the way Daisy called it out made it sound as though Pikachu s Electric type attacks wouldn t work, and it honestly didn t appear to affected by the Thunder Wave Pikachu already set up. The only other thing Pikachu had was Agility. He hadn t even perfected his Quick Attack yet. Well, Flash of course, but that wouldn t do anything to Chinchou, whose antennae lit up just as bright. Come back, Pikachu, Ash finally said. Pikachu s eye twitched and he looked back at his Trainer in confusion. Pika? I have a plan. Just come back. He didn t... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Wrong move, she thought. Since you had the first move before, I get this one! Electro Ball, Chinchou! What?! An Electric type?! It hit Ash, and he felt like an idiot. What else would the yellow mean? Dodge it, Pidgeotto. Use Agility! A streaking beam followed Pidgeotto as she easily dodged the cluster of volts hurled at her. Before the Electro Ball hit the ceiling, it burst like a firework. A stream of bolts came down, but Pidgeotto dodged each one. Awesome! I know Agility would be best in the long run. All right, Pidgeotto, use Gust! Pidgeo! She flapped her wings rapidly, creating a fierce gale of wind that blasted right into Chinchou, knocking it right into the water. Awesome job, Pidgeotto! Now, use Air Cutter to slice through the water! Ash was very keen on teaching Pidgeotto new Flying type moves. So far he was up to three, including Gust and Air Cutter. The last one was . . . well: And then use Aerial Ace! Aerial Ace was a very powerful move that required such precision that it never missed. No matter how many time a PokГ©mon tried to dodge, it would always hit them in the end. That s why Ash knew he had to teach it to Pidgeotto as soon as possible. Even before Roost, which Gabby agreed to teach Pidgeotto since Ash couldn t wrap his head around the mechanics of the move. It would ve been useful when going up against Chinchou given it could eliminate Pidgeotto s weakness to Electric type attacks. Pidgeotto shot out several attacks, cutting and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Heterozygotes, which have the wild type phenotype, have normal sight which gives them the advantage of finding a mate and have a better success with attracting a mate with their courtship song (Kyriacou et al, 1978). The male heterozygous Drosophila had a better advantage at mating than the homozygotes, which were the ebony, and therefore we predict there will be more wild type by the end of the experiment. METHODS: In this experiment, the instructor provided us with 30 ebony individuals and 20 wild type individuals. In order to get an exact amount of each type, we anesthetized the flies and counted them off by gently using a fine point paint brush. Then all 50 Drosophila were put into a population cage which had a lid that had six holes for the centrifuge tubes. Two food tubes and four clean, empty tubes were added on the first day. Each food tube consisted of half a cup full of food mixed with 6 7 milliliters of water. This was the fly medium. The food should turn blue once the water is added. Each tube was labeled with a number and with the date. Every two to three days we added one more food tube until all 6 tubes contained the fly medium. After all 6 tubes were filled, the following days after we exchanged the first food tube with a new food tube. At the end of the experiment, we fed the flies with a total of 8 food tubes. Then the flies were anesthetized, again. At the end of this four week lab, the number of living ebony and wild ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Article 1 Overview: This study investigated the utilization of satellite information to screen carbon monoxide (CO) and particulate matter (PM) in Northern Thailand throughout the dry season when woodland flames are known to be a vital reason for air contamination. Satellite information, incorporating Measurement of Pollution in the Troposphere (MOPITT) CO, Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer vaporized optical profundity (MODIS AOD), and MODIS fire hotspots, were examined with air contamination information measured at nine programmed air quality overseeing stations in the study range for February April months of 2008 2010. The association examination indicated that every day CO and PM with size beneath 10 Ојm (Pm10) were connected with the woodland fire hotspot include, particularly the country regions with the most extreme relationship coefficient (R) of 0.59 for CO and 0.65 for Pm10. The correspondences between MODIS AOD and Pm10, between MOPITT CO and CO, and between MODIS AOD and MOPITT CO were additionally dissected, affirming the companionship between these variables. Two backwoods fire scenes were chosen, and the scattering of contamination tufts was mulled over utilizing the MOPITT CO downright segment and MODIS AOD information, together with the surface wind vectors. The outcomes demonstrated consistency between the crest scatterings, areas of thick hotspots, ground checking information, and common winds. The satellite information were indicated to be ... • 5. National Environmental Policy Act ( Nepa ) In the United States, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) was enacted on January 1, 1970 and Environmental Protection Agency began operation December 2, 1970. In many developed countries, since 1960s growing awareness about the side effects of unrestricted development and industrialisation had pressured policymakers to establish environmental policies and agencies. During that period, the policies were designed to focus on prompt and remedial action plans rather than prevention tools. As a result, Command and Control (CAC) approach became the dominant tool which is comprised of setting environmental standards (command) and penalising non complied actions (control). The experience with CAC during 70s and 80s suggests that the regulatory policies in practice cost far greater than expected. Since CAC has been introduced by many countries, economists focused on the economic evaluation of the approach in terms of its efficiency and cost effectiveness. Some studies suggest that the environmental standards mandated by governments are hard to be set at an efficient level because of legislative constraints, imperfect information, regional differences and non uniformity of pollutants. Another issue with CAC is associated with enforcement problems such as costs of monitoring and administration. For the reasons mentioned above, new approach has been recommended by many economists. The new policy is called Economic Instrument (EI) which provides incentives to companies or ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Though expressed in different ways and structures, it was and still is part of human civilizations today. However, within the establishments of power, many conflicts arise for both those in power and those governed by the rulers, such as problems over the selection of new authority figures and the retainment of their power. This conflict can be recognized from the ruling of Qin Shi Huangin China in the mid 200s BC. He is well known for uniting the Chinese states during the Warring States Period, in which the country was broken up into states that were in a war for dominance (Mark). Shi Huang ultimately founded the Qin Dynasty and worked to improve humanity by helping construct the Great Wall for defense and the Lingqu Canal for commerce (Mark). However, he later began to threaten those who refused to comply with his ideas, and he became more concerned with becoming immortal and keeping his power (Szczepanski). Due to his obsessive desire over the idea of immortality and maintaining his imperial status in the afterlife, Qin Shi Huang decided to recreate the entire Chinese empire underground as his tomb (Szczepanski). Though rhyme is not necessarily needed to make a poem good, it is a technique used by poets to create emphasis on certain aspects of specific themes they are trying to express. Rhyme schemes may contribute to the mood or tone of a piece, or even be used to create a certain rhythm or flow. Poems like Sound and Sense by Alexander Pope, That Time of Year by the famous William Shakespeare, and We Wear the Mask by Paul Laurence Dunbar, are perfectly good examples of professionals taking their writing to the next level with a touch of rhyme. Each of these authors have contributed greatly to the art of writing, and though their situations, or motives, for writing the poems may be different, their effective use of the different schemes help the authors create a certain feeling to each verse in their work. The rhyme schemes in Sound and Sense, That Time of Year, and We Wear the Mask contribute to the author s feelings on vital situations they face through their daily life. In Sound and Sense, Alexander Pope shows off his abilities as a poet through his use of rhyme in an iambic pentameter, to reveal how talented he is. This is displayed through the Erechtheion a statue created in the image of Athena and Poseidon, constructed between 421 B.C. and 406 B.C. This statue was built in exultation to these celebrated, supernatural rulers and to this day still stands as a landmark of history. Seeing as there were several other statues and temples such as the Propylaea or the Temple of Olympian Zeus, this shows that the multitude of gods meant a variety of things to diverse ... • 21. General Description Of Noise Control Systems Literature review General description Noise control is an engineering problem that can be found in almost every field of industry maintaining safe noise levels in industry to ensuring a comfortable experience in air travel, motor vehicles and general consumer goods. A major factor in the design of noise control systems is the materials being used, producing the best results requires the use of the most appropriate materials, and this in turn necessitates empirical values for how a substance affects the behaviour of sound. These values are commonly established using an impedance tube, of which there are several variations, made up of a set of base components. The bare minimum required for an impedance tube to function is a speaker and signal generator to produce a soundwave, a tube within which the material is tested, a mount for the material being tested generally with a hard backing, and a sensor within the tube to take readings. Most tubes contain additional equipment and have strictly controlled dimensions and materials to maximise their efficacy and the accuracy of the readings. Dynamic microphone variation The variation constructed in this report is a standing wave with a dynamic microphone with design specifications established in ASTM C384.5970. This consist of a straight tube with a loudspeaker mounted at one end, the tube can be rectangular or cylindrical but must be uniform along its length. The pipe material must be hard and rigid so that sounds are likely to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There s no doubt that Margaret Thatcher s time as Prime Minister changed the way Britain saw itself and how it was seen on the international stage, but what can be debated is whether or not she was elected due to her own party s strengths, or the weaknesses of the opposition. The years before and during Thatcher s time were fraught for the country, with inflation running high and lots of discontent, displayed not only through strikes but also the via ballot boxes. Thatcher first came to power with a majority of 43 seats for her first government in May 1979, which rose to 144 seats in June 1983 and in June 1987 she received her third victory with a 100 seat margin, a sharp drop from 1983 but still a comprehensive victory. The true factor, which inevitably leads to Juliet s demise, was her lack of experience in love, life, and marriage. Juliet s lack in experience was what brought her to meet her end. But problems always originate from how one was raised, brought up, and grown into the world by surrounding adults. In Juliet s case, her constant supervision was the nurse s responsibility. In a way, the nurse fed Juliet s addiction to Romeo, even encouraged it at times. Then hie you hence to Friar Lawrence s cell. There stays a husband to make you a wife. (III.v. 169) This quote demonstrates the fact that the nurse, instead of trying to steer Juliet off the path of forbidden love, is in fact, helping her obtain a life with Romeo. While it is admirable that the nurse cares for Juliet and wishes for her to live a happy life, the nurse s love for Juliet blinded her ration and ability to think clearly. These sororities have their own language, norms, beliefs, and values. Most college campuses have many charters or different sororities to choose from when a student wants to pledge a sorority. On the Saint Francis University campus, there are seven sororities that a female student can belong to. Each sorority has a different philanthropy which is a foundation that the sorority stands behind. For example Delta Phi Epsilon stands behind the Educational Foundation, this foundation helps women get the education that they deserve. Sororities are known for creating a bond between girls that last a life time. The sororities have their own language, they use words like pledge, bid, big, little, active, lavaliere, letters, and philanthropy. A pledge is a person who accepts a bid, and a bid is an invitation to a specific chapter at their school (Nakagoshi 1). When a female student wants to pledge a sorority they interview for a bid and the sorority decides if they want to have the new student pledge or not. If the pledge gets the bid then the student gets a big, a big is an older girl who has been part of the sorority for a year of more, and the big is like a big sister they are supposed to care of their little or new pledge (Nakagoshi 1). Lukacs gives a very precise account of the actualy events during those eighty days but in my opinion he wants the reader to grab the bigger concepts. One of these concepts is that Lukacs wants the reader to honestly consider just how close the Allies came to losing the war. Another of these notions is the idea that the main difference between Churchill and Hitler concerned nationalism versus patriotism and a third idea is just how greatly history can be effected by the courageous decisions of a few people.Lukacs makes strong mention of how close Hitler came to victory. Hitler abused the idea of nationalism and thet is why the author made sure not to leave this footnote out of his book. Hitler got the german people to follow him under this demented idea that Germany should be considered better than everybody else, and yet it is astonishing that nobody seemed to noticed that Hitler was not even a German. Lukacs wants the reader to raise these questions to themselves so they can see how unique this entire situation was. The idea that the entire course of history is changed by the decisions of a few people is a very important notion in the book. The hesitance of Hitler in early July is especially important and vital to the outcome of the war. Lukacs depicts the two men differently then one would expect. In this evaluation, Hitler does not want to attack Britain. He wants them to simply make peace, of course on his terms. He was not sure if England would go for this, and if they did not, he knew that the time had come to force them to do so. He could not shake Churchill, no matter how many other leaders crumbled. During the time other movements started to develop, putting the focus on such issues as gay, women s and African American rights. Singer starts his argument by supposing that the principle of equality or principle of equal consideration of interests is a basic moral principle, which implies treating the interests of all people as equally significant in spite of gender, color, or sexual orientation. What is critical is to control the important parameters of the process throughout the product life cycle. This helps to ensure that the quality is built into the product as it is manufactured. What most companies do is select a handful of characteristics considered to be important to their customer. They measure those few to ensure that they meet customer requirements. They perform their 100% inspection, and if the product passes it is shipped to the customer. They are very surprised when they get a phone call from the customer that their product ruined the customer s lot and not only does their customer want their money back but they want to be compensated for the losses as well. At that point the quality manager will retrieve the test results from the product, which shows that the product passed all quality inspection requirements before shipment. The result is lost customers. Either way the cost will be substantial to the manufacturer. What went wrong? The 100% inspection was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Gender specific guidelines for hair, jewelry and cosmetics are being tested, especially by transgender students. Bans on saggy pants or Afro puffs are applied to all students but can be seen as racially biased. Outlawing sweat pants or frayed garments might well have a disproportionate effect, depending on a family s economic status, although this argument would be more persuasive to a school board making policy than to a court applying constitutional doctrineВЁ (Robson). If a patentee applies for a patent for a newly discovered or an alienated substance, or a synergy of entities, she is not required to disclose the know how to the public. Therefore, she can retain the information undisclosed as trade secrets. Ordinarily, companies use patentand trade secret protection together in a synergistic manner to enhance exclusivity as a common strategy. • 51. Exploring The Possibilities Of Discovering The Neural... Exploring the possibilities of discovering the neural correlates of visual consciousness In the ongoing strive to better understand the mechanism of consciousness, the possibility of discovering the neural correlates of consciousness (NCCs) is arguably the leading agenda in its scientific research. Although the question of whether consciousness can be fully reduced to its neural correlates remains debatable, it is still credible that whenever an appropriate brain process occurs, the associated subjective experience follows (Chalmers, 2013). Thus, this essay will demonstrate that it is plausible that the minimal brain processes necessary for a conscious percept can be experimentally narrowed down to a smaller coalition of neurons. Understandably, the complexity of the cortical system that is yet to be fully deciphered, along with the technological difficulties in obtaining essential data has hindered the search for the NCCs and have lead some to doubt the possibility of ever locating it (Fins Plum, 2004). It is also likely that there are numerous NCCs, each associated with different modalities, which complicates the task further (Chalmers, 2013). For the purpose of this essay, the possibilities of discovering the neural correlates of visual consciousness are discussed in particular. This essay aims to define the foundational concepts of the science of consciousness, outline the experimental projects in finding the neural correlates of visual consciousness, and address ... • 52. The Security Administration ( Tsa ) Following the terrorist attacks of 9/11, congress passed sweeping changes to the security of aviation and border protection in the United States. Three agencies were significantly impacted by these changes and the aftermath of 9/11: Transportation Security Administration (TSA), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and Federal Air Marshal (FAM). However, 14 years later is important to review the changes which were implemented by sweeping popularity following 9/11 and evaluate their effectiveness. The Transportation Security Administration(TSA) was established by the Aviation and Security Act signed into law on November 19, 2001. The Aviation and Security Act required the TSA complete more than 30 mandates by the end of 2002. In March 2003, TSA was transferred to the newly established Department of Homeland Security from the Department of Transportation (Transportation Security Administration). As of 2014, the TSA has an annual budget of $7.9 Billion and employs 62,000 people. However, there is evidence that the TSA may not be effective based on the cost. George Leef, a Forbes contributor, cited a Government Accountability Office (GAO) regarding the Screening of Passengers by Observation Techniques (SPOT).
