Michael Flynn Research Paper
Elisabeth Hibbett ENG102 03 21 March 2017 The events leading to Michael Flynn s resignation have
sparked the attention of many Americans. Michael T. Flynn, known as national security adviser for
Donald Trump, resigned after being revealed to America that he was guilty for being deceptive to Vice
President, Mike Pence and other White House officials about conversations he held with Russian
ambassadors about American sanctions. As it is for any other crime, it is not the first offense, but the
devious covering of the crime that gets you into a bottomless pit. Attorney General Sally Yates
enlightened members of the White House in January 2017 that Flynn was in danger of Russian
blackmail. At the time of this, the White House took no action to this in regards to Yates being a

Many questions are still yet to be answered such as knowing if he has hired a lawyer, what laws he
broken if any, and where his life will be guided from this point out. Although Democrats and
Republicans are indifferent on the situation, I believe involving the Federal Bureau of Investigation to
help receive answers to questions that have still not been answered was the right decision. While Sally
Yates faced consequences, such as losing her job due to being a female and speaking up in warning
the house on Flynn being caught in a scheme that could cause blackmail, I can not help but wonder
who knew what at this time in the

Major Motor Pathways Case Study
Look at Table 8.1 in which Carlson summarizes the Major Motor Pathways; consider the related
cortical and subcortical structures controlling movement. Then consider the relationship between
alpha motor neurons and extrafusal muscle fibers. Sir Charles Sherrington stated that the alpha motor
neuron (which is also referred to as the lower motor neuron) is the final common pathway. As
psychologists, this notion of the final common pathway being comprised of lower motor neuron axons
is very important to us. Considering the above information, why would Sherrington and everyone
since refer to the alpha motor neuron as the final common pathway? Incorporate neuroanatomical
information about motor systems to support your explanation. The alpha motor ... Show more content

On top of the nasal cavity, lies the olfactory epithelium (mucous tissue that covers the cribriform plate
and contains the cilia necessary for olfactory receptors). The process starts when air enters the nasal
cavity and makes its way to the olfactory receptors. These olfactory receptors are located in the
olfactory epithelium and contain many bipolar neurons. These receptors send processes to the
epithelium where it divides into 10 to 20 cilia. Molecules of odor then must dissolve in the mucus and
stimulate the receptors in the cilia, which detect aromatic molecules. Next, each olfactory receptor cell
sends an axon into the olfactory bulb, which is located at the end of the olfactory tract. Here, it forms
synapse with dendrites of mitral cells (neurons of olfactory bulb), which takes place in the dendritic
and axonal aborizations, called the olfactory glomeruli. From there, the axons travel to the rest of the
brain, some terminating in the ipsilateral forebrain and contralateral olfactory bulb.
Furthermore, the axons of the olfactory tract project to either the amygdala, piriform cortex (region of
limbic cortex) and the entorhinal cortex (region of the limbic cortex). From the amygdala, information
then is sent to the hypothalamus. The entorhinal cortex sends its information to the hippocampus. The
piriform cortex takes its information to the hypothalamus and orbitofrontal cortex

How Did Lewis Carroll Write Alice In Wonderland
Lewis Carroll Ever curious about the author of Alice s Adventures in Wonderland? That person would
be Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, otherwise known as Lewis Carroll, his famous alter ego. Carroll has
written many books that have transformed the art of literature. His work has appealed to an abundance
of children all over the world. Lewis Carroll contributed to fiction literature by creating a story that
was the ultimate adventure to children everywhere.
Carroll was born on January 27, 1832 in a small parish of Daresbury, Cheshire, England. Carroll had
an average childhood, out of eleven children Lewis was the third. He lived with his devoted mother
and father that supported his education . Carroll began his writing at an early age, he ... Show more

logic man. As Lewis Carroll said, How queer everything is to day! And yesterday things went on just
as usual. I wonder if I ve been changed in the night? Let me think: was I the same when I got up this
morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I m not the same, the next

Moving Again
Moving again?! I exclaimed. My mom had announced this at the end of the month of February.
Throughout my fourteen years of life, I could not keep count with my fingers of how many times we
have moved. On the other hand, I understood her decision to move from Birch Bay to Bellingham.
Besides, my brother and I were going to school there and all our friends were there, too. Not to
mention the drastic change in our family s way of life, after a couple of months of hauling us from one
place to another, on top of my mom working a full time job, everything was way harder for her
especially now that she is a single parent. One late night during one of our many hauls to home, I was

Renata and I looked at each other, we were terrified! We thought that someone was trying to break
into the house. As petrified as we were, we wanted to know what was going on. The curtains by the
window were shut and anyone or anything could be out there causing the scratching noise. We started
arguing on who would open the curtains to check what was out there. Finally, I stepped up and took
the courage to check it out. Besides, this was my house. Mortified, I was shaking as I pulled the
curtain swiftly. Renata and I both screamed! We had not even seen what was out there, but we were
just really very scared. My Mom woke up and rushed into my room very worried, causing my brother
to wake up, too. Then, we checked on what was causing the commotion outside the window. There
wasn t really a person at my window, it was a cat! Renata and I started laughing so hard to find out
that it was nothing to be scared of, my Mom and brother were wondering what was going on. So, we
told them what had happened and then we all started laughing. Our master evil plan went down the
drain: to sneak out again without waking anyone up. It ended with waking up the whole household.
And....nope! We absolutely did not tell my Mom that we were trying to sneak out. Oh, my word! We
did not want to be grounded. Another comical happening that I would always look back and perhaps

Eloise In Connecticut Characters
I mean you didn t really know Walt. He was the only boy I ever knew that could make me laugh. I
mean really laugh . Eloise spends much time in Uncle Wiggily in Connecticut reminiscing about Walt,
her true love, with her longtime friend Mary Jane. Drinking heavily and remembering the past,
throughout the story Eloise and Mary Jane pays little attention to the present. Eloise s time in college
with Walt was one of the happier times in her life, undoubtedly, she doesn t feel that same happiness in
her current life. The death of her true love causes unhappiness as Eloise tries to adjust to a life without
him. Eloise tries to fill the void by marrying a man, Lew, and having a child, Ramona. By having
Mary Jane over and reminiscing, Eloise ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

named Mickey Mickeranno. Eloise is angered by this and forces Ramona to the middle of her bed. In

Eloise says. Her getting angered by the fact the Ramona created a new friend in her mind shows how
she envy s Ramona s young and creative mind. If Ramona s imaginary friend dies, she can just simply
replace them and go on with life as if nothing happened. This is not the same for Eloise. To Eloise,
Walt was irreplaceable. When she finally tried to replace Walt with Lew she grew very unhappy and
could not go on with life. When Eloise said Poor Uncle Wiggily she was referring to what Walt had
said when they were together. Eloise tells the reader the origin of the line. She was running with Walt
when she fell and twisted her ankle. To cheer her up, Walt said Poor Uncle Wiggily . Eloise admitted
she misses him and still mourns his death. The death of Walt wasn t only taking a toll on Eloise but
also on Ramona because Eloise took her frustration out on Ramona. After her rage, Eloise asks Mary
Jane I was a nice girl wasn t I? For the first time the reader sees Eloise possibly looking for change in
her life. The author is suggesting that Eloise can change her life by perhaps going back to the way
things were even though that is not

North Carolina State University s Environmental...
Introduction During this semester I traveled with the North Carolina State University s Environmental
Technology and Management program ET 201 class, under the direction of Dr. Teresa Litzenberger, to
Little Rock Creek in Raleigh North Carolina. Little Rock Creek is a small stream located in southeast
raleigh near the Walnut Creek Wetland Center. Located in a watershed of approximately 705.879
acres, the creek looks like an upside down uppercase L from a map perspective. The creek floor is
sandy with a few small rocks (cobblestone) in areas. The stream has plenty of tree cover to provide
shade. However, the lack of large trees encourages the curves in the creek to widen which allows the
water to slow down and create pools throughout the creek. According to Title 15A of the North
Carolina Administrative Code, Rule .0302 contains the classifications for waters located within the
Neuse River Basin (15A NCAC 02L .0312). Little Rock Creek, however, is not classified and
therefore follows Rule .0301 which simply states that it should carry the classification of the stream to
which it is a tributary (.
Assessment and Methodology The Rapid Stream Assessment Technique (RSAT) uses data measured
in the field to determine a stream s condition. These data fields include channel stability, channel
scouring or sediment deposition, physical instream habitat, water quality, riparian habitat conditions,
and biological indicators of macroinvertebrates. The RSAT ranking for each

There has been eight Navy ships in the United States named ENTERPRISE. She is creating a legacy
that will carry well into the future as PCU ENTERPRISE (CVN 80) commissioned in 2025. Senior
enlisted leaders are the keepers of naval tradition, heritage and the values, as well as the mentors and
teachers of our history. This paper will cover the history of the USS ENTERPRISE and the
importance of its history to us as senior enlisted leaders.
History
The first ENTERPRISE was a sloop supply ship by the British. Col B. Arnold seized the ship on 18
May 1775 at Saint John s Quebec Canada and provided it for the use on Lake Champlain. On August

fourteen gun topsail schooner to lastly a brig. (Standifer, 2013) The fourth ENTERPRISE was a
schooner built by the New York Navy Yard on 26 October 1831. She commissioned on 15 December
1831 with Lieutenant Commander Samuel W. Downing as the commanding officer with a sixty three
men crew and nine officers. (Standifer, 2013) The fifth ENTERPRISE was a steam corvette with an
auxiliary sail power. John W. Griffith built her at Portsmouth Naval Yard out of oak. She
commissioned 16 March 1877 with George C. Remey as the commanding officer. (Standifer, 2013)
The Navy purchased the sixth ENTERPRISE on 6 December 1916. She was a 66 foot motor patrol.
When placed in the service of the Second Naval District, she performed harbor tug duties at Newport,
Rhode Island. (Standifer, 2013) The seventh ENTERPRISE was given the nickname of Big E . She
also had the nicknames of Lucky E , Grey Ghost , and the Galloping Ghost . ENTERPRISE seven is

How Does Cronus See The Titanomachy As A Battle Of Good...
After this week s lecture I do not see the Titanomachy as a battle of good and evil. Zeus and his father
Cronus are in battle because Cronus has decided to swallow all his children, but he was tricked when
it came to his sixth son, Zeus. As Zeus was sent to another island, Cronus was given a stone to
swallow instead of his actual son. When the father and son battle each other I do not see it as a battle
of good and evil. Zeus is simply fighting for his brothers who he eventually gets back from his father
Cronus. Cronus himself went against his father Uranus. That is the main reason I do not see the
Titanomachy as a battle of good and evil because I would not know who to select as good and who to
select as being evil. Instead, I see the

Risk Management Task 1a
JIT Task 1 Risk Management
Risk Management
From the last decade risk management is the most researched and exciting area in the financial
industry as it elaborates how to minimize and avert the hazard of risk from the portfolios of different
assets and from the operations of financial institutions. Regulators and depositors mainly emphasize
the risk management and according to them risk management is an essential ingredient to enhance the
value of shareholders and increase their level of confidence. Risk management is the assessment of
risks to mitigate, monitor and control the probability or impact on uncertain events. Risk management
methods vary from industry to industry for instance it cannot be same for project management, ...

governments operating in the complex economic environment of the 21st century must contend with
a broad range of risks. Some do so in an adhoc or reactive fashion, responding to risks as they appear,
whilst others are proactive, planning in advance the risks that they wish to assume and how they can
best manage them. Since it has become clear over the past few years that risk can be financially
damaging when neglected, anecdotal and empirical evidence suggests that institutions increasingly opt
for formalized processes to manage uncertainties that can lead to losses. Risk can be classified in a
number of ways and though we do not intend to present a detailed taxonomy of risk, a brief overview
is useful in order to frame my discussion. To begin, risk can be divided broadly into financial risk and
operating risk. Financial risk is the risk of loss arising from the movement of a market or performance
of a counterparty and can be segregated into market risk (the risk of loss due to movement in market
references, such as interest rates, stock prices or currency rates), liquidity risk (the risk of loss due to
an inability to obtain unsecured funding or sell assets in order to make payments) and credit risk (the
risk of loss due to non performance by a counterparty on its contractual obligations). A rise in funding
costs, an inability to sell financial assets at carrying value or the default by a counterparty on a loan
are examples of

White Lies In African American Literature
One similarity in all of the African American literature read this semester is this one fact. White people
lie. Granted, everyone lies. In these particular literacy works, however, the main characters white
counterparts seemed to have done the most fibbing to put it lightly. From this habit of lying, most
forms of African American literature have been effected, from early literary documents written by
African Americans that have been altered by white editors to lies told by white people in the actual
story written by African Americans. This paper will take a look at examples of incidents in which
these lies occurred, and also discuss these lies told by whites and how they effected African Americans
individually as well as a whole. This first example of the type of lies told by white people effected the
earlier African American literary authors. They fell victim to these white lies in terms of their freedom
of what they could and could not write. One example is that of Briton Hammon in his literary tale
entitled A Narrative of Uncommon Sufferings. In his piece, he recalls different event he had
experienced. One of these events was an encounter with a group of Indians. He noted them as savages
which is very similar to how white people of this time period addresses the matter of Indians. This
simple metaphor led some to believe this literary work of Briton Hammon was, indeed, heavily edited
by a white editor. As a whole, different events throughout the story

Marbury Versus Madison
| | | | Marbury versus Madison Sarah McClam MARBURY VERSUS MADISON In the weeks after
John Adams lost his bid for re election to Thomas Jefferson in 1800, the Federalist Congress increased
the number of circuit courts. Adams placed Federalist judges in these new positions. One of the
justices of the peace, William Marbury, filed a writ of mandamus demanding Secretary of State James
Madison deliver the appointments. The Supreme Court led by John Marshall denied the request citing
part of the Judiciary Act of 1789 as unconstitutional. This historic court case established the concept
of Judicial Review or the ability of the Judiciary Branch to declare a law unconstitutional. This case
brought the Judicial Branch of the government ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As part of the Revolution of 1800, President Thomas Jefferson and his Democratic Republican
followers launched a series of attacks against the Federalist controlled courts. The new Democratic
Republican controlled Congress easily eliminated most of the midnight judges by repealing the
Judiciary Act in 1802. They impeached Supreme Court justice Samuel Chase, but acquitted him
amidst inner party squabbles. The Chase acquittal coupled with Marshall s impeccably argued
decision put an end to the Jeffersonian attack (Marbury verses Madison, 1803). Some of the issues
that came up and the ruling were as followed: 1. Does Marbury have a right to the commission? Yes.
Marbury has a right to the commission. The order granting the commission takes effect when the
Executive s constitutional power of appointment has been exercised, and the power has been exercised
when the last act required from the person possessing the power has been performed. The grant of the
commission to Marbury became effective when signed by President Adams. 2. Does the law grant
Marbury a remedy? Yes. The law grants Marbury a remedy. The very essence of civil liberty certainly
consists in the right of every individual to claim the protection of the laws whenever he receives an
injury. One of the first duties of government is to afford that protection. Where a specific duty

The Influence Of Restrictions On Food Choices Among Food...
Restrictions on food choices among food stamps recipients not only raise questions on infringements
of individual autonomy and choice they also tend to stigmatize the recipient holders and make them
feel socially disapproved. Yes, they do use tax payers money to buy their food but they have the right
to spend the money allotted to them the way they want. Moreover, as per USDA s report they use a
portion of their own money to buy the food so there is no guarantee that restricting them from buying
a certain type of food will affect their food purchase (USDA, 2007). It is true that obesity is more
common among those who are socioeconomically deprived but buying steak, lobsters and junk food

Shortly after Butler was born, her father died leaving Butler s mother and grandmother to raise her.
Octavia s mother used to read her bedtime stories until she was six years old. As soon as she got to
like the stories, her mother said, Here s the book. Now you read. She didn t know what she was setting
her both up for. Just at the age of ten Octavia began to write short stories of fiction.
Octavia lived most of her life in Pasadena. All through Junior High and High School, even college,
Butler was a very shy person. She would not get up in front of class to do anything, her teacher s
thought this was because she didn t do the work and was unprepared. One time, she even went as far
as to record her presentation on a tape and turn that in instead. During her years in school, there were
three teachers who made a critical difference in Butler s development. The first was Butler s home

teacher who typed her first story, quot;typed it the way it was supposed to be, with no holes erased

The neuroanatomical approach to aphasia relies on the...
The neuroanatomical approach to aphasia relies on the localization of lesions on the brain in addition
to clinical observation in order to classify patients according to syndromes. For example, according to
the neuroanatomical approach, Broca s aphasia, which us usually associated with a lesions on the
posterior inferior frontal gyrus of the brain, has cardinal features that distinguish is from other fluent
and non fluent aphasias (e.g. poor repetition, poor repetition and poor naming with good auditory
comprehension). Within this model, the general assessment process of an aphasic person consists of:
(1) Gathering the client s case history (e.g. a car accident that results in an injury to the anterior
superior frontal lobe (in the case of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Further, different researchers and clinicians may classify patients differently as there as not clear cut
boundaries which separate classifications. In addition, patients have good and bad days, such that a
patient s performance on a particular day may be a cause for misclassification of aphasia.
Furthermore, a patient can evolve from one classification to another during the course of recovery
(e.g. from Broca s Aphasia to Anomic Aphasia). Also, there are varying degrees within a particular
classification. For example, Patrick had mild Broca s aphasia, while some patients who have Broca s
aphasia can barely speak at all (i.e. severe Broca s aphasia). Nevertheless, the classification system
according to syndromes is useful when describing groups of people, rather than individuals, for
example in research. However, it can also be valuable in clinical practice because it is an efficient way
of best describing a person s aphasia profile. For example, in a clinical setting it may be useful to use a
classification (e.g. Wernicke s aphasia), when talking to the client or the client s family. This is
because it can give them a reasonable sense of what is happening to them without overwhelming them
(although in most cases, it is still overwhelming), and because in many cases people and their families
prefer to have an answer rather than not knowing what has happened. Additionally, it is possible that a
person may fall into a particular

Analysis Of The Article Vale Expansion Puts Australia s...
The article Vale expansion puts Australia s global mining market share at risk, Roy Hill head warns is
a rather simple business news piece communicating Vale s decision to increase production with third
party commentary responding to the announcement. At high level it focuses on the actions of firms in
the iron ore production market and in doing so reveals a range of drivers influencing decision making
by firms. These decisions can be described and understood through economic theory. Vale is not the
only iron ore producer in the market so consideration of the market structure is important to
understand firm decision making. In determining the market structure it is important to first clarify
which market is being analysed. The market ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The chart provides information by four firms, Fortescue Metals Group (FMG), Vale, Rio Tinto, BHP
(WAIO) and the rest of the world. According to this data set these four producers accounts for
approximately 65% 70% of iron ore produced for the export market. This suggests the market has
medium level of concentration reflecting a scenario of monopolistic competition. Another aspect to
consider when examining the iron ore export market is the degree of product differentiation between
iron ore producing firms. Product differentiation impacts the ability or preference of buyers to
substitute products, in this case iron ore, produced by different firms. Iron ore is mined in a variety of
different types; hematite, goethite, limonite and magnetite which contain different concentrations of
iron. If the iron ore of a firm is considered to be of higher quality than other firms, then lower quality
iron ore from other firms may be considered an imperfect substitute . Firms may undertake at
additional cost beneficiation processes cost to improve their product. The article notes Vale will offer a
63 per cent blended product to the market which would compete directly with Australian producers.
This implies consumers could easily substitute the iron ore from other produces in favor of Vale s
product. Over the last 15 years the demand of iron ore has steadily increased and then fallen. Figures

Between 1870 and 1920, the European nations took the use of imperialism due to economic, political,

Ethical Issues In Incident At Morales
The video Incident at Morales shines light on many different ethical issues that come up in the
engineering profession. The three main ethical issues are the fact that ethical considerations are an
integral part of making engineering decisions, ethical obligations do not stop at state or national
boarders, and engineers should always strive to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public.
Other ethical issues brought up in the film are hiring workers that once worked for a competitor to get
an inside on how the company runs, and willingly using ingredients that you know the be damaging.
These all raise and ethical concern and can be applied to the main ethical theories. When practicing
engineering, ethical considerations are an integral part of making engineering decisions. As an
engineer, one makes numerous decisions on a daily basis. When making these decisions, is important
to always make sure the decisions being made are ethical. Right and wrong come up often when
making decisions. If the result of a potential decision would not be beneficial to society, that decision
should not be made. Although legal requirements may vary among states and nations, ethical
obligations do not stop at state of national borders. This is a very important ethical issue in the
engineering profession. There are many things in the engineering ... Show more content on

I believe the most responsible issue is engineers should always strive to protect the health, safety, and
welfare of the public. The ethical issue impacted the events in many different ways. The engineers got
too focused on making money, and lost sight of making sure the welfare of the public was protected.
They did not think about important safety considerations when working through the engineering
process. If the engineers would have focused more on ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of the
public was protected, this incident could have been

Examples Of Honesty And Dishonesty
Honesty and loyalty are important parts of friendship and life in general. To take those nouns even
further you can use integrity. A very technical definition of integrity is adherence to moral and ethical
principles or the state of being whole. To me, integrity is being honest and truthful to others and to
yourself for a good cause. Integrity is a value that has to come from the heart. You cannot fake or force
honesty. School is the main place where your integrity is threatened. Sometimes you just have to look
at your friend s test or use your notebook during a quiz. You can t help it sometimes if you don t study.
No one can deny that they have cheated at least once during an exam. Cheating once or twice on a test
is usually forgivable and can virtually be repealed. Making it a habit can be threatening to your
mentality and your actions. If you are caught, you feel so poor about your ... Show more content on

I can remember times where I just had to look. I am not the type of person who cheats easily, I cannot
bring myself to look at my study guide. But there have been times that I just forget one question and I
look at the paper in front of me. It never feels good to cheat, there is always guilt that hangs over you
and it feels even worse if you get the question wrong. Not all of me is a cheater though, most of me is
good. It is good to be honest to yourself. At the start of high school there is a lot of stress and pressure
on us. For me, the transition of time has been hardest. I have lost hours of sleep doing homework and
studying for tests. I have to wake up earlier too. Times at night when I am finished with my
homework, I have to be honest with myself. I know that I am tired but sometimes I want to stay up
later and watch TV or go on my phone. I have to be honest with myself and go to sleep. Sleep has a
big impact on my life because I do sports, so I need to have integrity and listen to

Southern Arizona Dog-Walking Program Analysis
Imagine you are a cute little puppy, you have luxurious fur and seamlessly floppy ears; you live in a
nice house with a lovely family and live a very happy life. Your owners take you on nice long walks
and are overall in great shape; every dog deserves to be in good health. Unfortunately not every dog
gets the opportunity to go on a nice brisk walk often, sometimes not at all. Our goal is to challenge
this; we want to persuade people to agree to learn about the dog walking program offered at the

Why Is Elementary School So Important To Me
My elementary school years, to me, and I think a lot of people could agree with that. I have literally
zero good memories from my grade school years. The only things that comes to mind when i even
think of elementary school are upset teachers, disappointing grades, and terribly mean students. I was
a˜ very hyper active child but a lot of teachers mistakened my hyperness for a bad apple. This led to a
lot of phone calls home, letters to my mom, and my desk being seated next to or in front of my
teacher. It was horrible, to have a teacher scold you over and over for doing something you are not in
control of. There were a lot of recess missed and lot of things written 50 to 100 times. It was almost
depressing. If it weren t for my incredible imagination ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

that I hated and still hate now. They didn t have a cafeteria and most importantly they didn t have a
playscape. They made me wear some stupid dress code that i wouldn t mind much today but back then
I had a burning passion of furry against wearing the white collars and snap on ties that simulated the
exact feeling of being slowly choked by an angry toddler. And if that wasn t enough, because it was a

It s Time To Eliminate High School Dropouts
Eliminate the high school dropout rate! The high school dropout rate increases each year. Students that
do not want to do their work take the easy way out and a couple of years down the road they work at
Mc. Donalds. These students that dropout regret that they dropped out and realize that they could have
a better life if they would have graduated. The high school dropout rule should be eliminated because
high school dropouts are more likely to earn less money, most high school dropouts end up in jail, and
students that do not graduate cannot go to college and find a high paying or average job. Dropouts

Most high school dropouts have jobs as janitors or work at a fast food restaurant. This is a trend
because if people do not get a high school diploma, then no good jobs will offer. Adults with a
diploma or even college schooling are proven to get better jobs than dropouts. If the dropout rule is
eliminated students will get a diploma and have better jobs. The article aypf.org, refers dropouts are
less likely to have a job and those who do earn less, on average, than high school graduates ( apyf.org

wealthy by any means. Critics may argue that without dropouts the low paying jobs would not be
filled. If there was no one working at fast food restaurants like Mc. Donalds or stores like walmart it
would be difficult to find food. This would be terrible because people would have to drive extremely
far to find food. If everyone was wealthy people would fight over the well paid jobs.Furthermore, this
would be an enormous problem because not everyone would get a job. Also, if there were no dropouts
then everybody would be spoiled and get everything they wanted. This would not be good because

The Outline Of The Titanic
Titanic
When: Started building on March 31, 1909. The Titanic set sail on April 10, 1912. It sank on April 15,
at 2:20 A.M.
Where: Left from Southaptom, England, and was on its way to New York. Made stops in Cherbourg,
France and sailed to Queenstown(now known as Cobh), Ireland. Sank in the North Atlantic.
Who: Ship was created by White Star Liner. The architect was Thomas Andrews. Around 2,200 people
were boarded on the ship. Edward John Smith was the appointed captain.
What:
The construction of the RMS Titanic started on March 31, 1909 in Belfast, North Ireland and cost $7.5
million. The man who designed it was a naval architect named Thomas Andrews. The ship was built to
be the world s largest passenger steamship, along with two other ships, the Olympic and Britanic.
Although the ship has always been known to many as unsinkable, it was actually never supposed to be
advertised like that. Extra measures were put into the ship to insure safety, for example, if four
watertight compartments out of the 16 were flooded, the ship would still stay afloat. Even though all
these precautions were made, who would have ever thought that a single iceberg could cause such a
huge devastation. The ship set sail on April 10, 1912 from Southampton, England and on its way to
New York. The total passengers were around 2,200 people, including a crew of around 900. The
passengers were divided into certain classes depending on what kind of ticket they paid for, with first

Physics Of Kinetic Energy And Stopping Distance
Newton s law of inertia states that an object in motion will stay in motion until an equal and opposite
force stops it. In a collision, a driver s car is stopped by another object (Ex: another car, a tree, a lamp
post). Anything not attached to the car will continue to move forward because they are not stopped by
the force that halted the car. Therefore a person who is not wearing a seatbelt during a collision would
fly to the front of the car until they hit something (Ex: the dashboard, the wheel, a car seat). The
stopping distance of the vehicle going 60 mph would be four times greater than that of the vehicle
going 30 mph. This is because kinetic energy increases exponentially along with velocity. From my
prior knowledge in physics, I know that the formula for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mass, kinetic energy, and stopping distance have a direct relationship so if the mass of the vehicle
goes up, the kinetic energy increases, and so does the braking distance. This can be proven by the
equation KE= 1/2mv2, as mention in the answer to the previous question. Assuming the vehicles
velocities are the same, mass is directly correlated to kinetic energy. Kinetic energy and stopping
distance have a direct relationship, as explained in the previous answer. To prepare to enter sharp
curves, a driver should slow down. Lowering the velocity of a car decreases the kinetic energy in the
car. This means the braking distance would be shorter since there is less kinetic energy to convert.
Drivers that travel at a slower speed and have a short braking distance can pass through sharp curves
easier because they have more control over the vehicle and can stop if the vehicle gets too close to the
edge of the road.A reason why car crashes have different levels of injuries is that the force of impact
varies in distinctive situations. The force of impact in accidents depends on the size, weight, and speed
of the colliding

Joining a Discourse Community
Life is full of different paths that each person has to take to achieve their goals. In those roads, people
might find groups that share ideas, knowledge, culture, or tastes with them, called discourse

infinite number of these groups, however in order to accomplish that they must convince its members
by applying some techniques taught in this class of English 1301, for example, knowing the group s
rhetorical situation, i.e. its cultural context, motivations, the audience itself, etc. or applying the

to convey young people to understand that living this experience would give them the chance to share
with self opinionated people, that while arguing with them, they can reach into conclusions that could
change their way of thinking and seeing life. Consequently by presenting my personal experience, I
can let people know how essential joining a discourse community can be. Gaitas is a musical rhythm

B. GSM Modem
A GSM modem is a wireless modem that works with a GSM wireless network. A wireless modem
behaves like a dial up modem. The main difference between them is that a dial up modem sends and
receives data through a fixed telephone line while a wireless modem sends and receives data through
radio waves. Like a GSM mobile phone, a GSM modem requires a SIM card from a wireless carrier in
order to operate.
Generally, computers use AT commands to control modems. Reading of message from the SIM card
inserted into the modem is done by sending the appropriate AT command to the modem.
In addition to the standard AT commands, GSM modems support an extended set of AT commands.
These extended AT commands are defined in the GSM standards. Some common basic SMS related
AT Commands are shown in table below:

King called to his guards, All of you shall search this castle until my daughter in found. The guards

Examples Of Suspense In Stranger Things
Suspense is when the author makes the reader, or audience excited or scared for what might happen in
the story, or even what will happen to the character next in the story. Suspense might even be
something you see or hear that will make you have questions about what will happen next. If there is a
cliffhanger at the end of a story, it will leave you with questions wondering what will happen to the
characters next. The mood, tone, setting, emotions of character, sound and sight might affect how the
story is suspenseful. We all enjoy watching suspenseful movies and reading stories, because they are
exciting. It leaves us with questions that the author won t have the answers to in the end, so the author
gives us as the audience, the chance to make up their own ending to the story or movie. The author
will give you clues throughout the story, to help you fill in questions you might have in the end. This
makes it more exciting for the reader and the audience because we get to engage with the characters in
the book or movie. The tv series, Stranger Things, is about 4 kids who have to fight off monsters in a
little town in Indiana. This TV show is a great example of suspense, and it shows it effectively
because, of Foreshadowing, Dilemma, and Dramatic Irony presented throughout the show. With just
using those four examples, Stranger Things is a great example of suspense. The example,

History Of Float And Fly
The Float and Fly A Historical and Sporting View
There has been a LOT of talk about the Float and Fly lately in magazines and on regional TV shows.
The Newest tactic to catch big fish!
Reality is that the Float and Fly has been around for years. It was originally a way to catch crappie in
the winter. Fishermen used the rig to fish small jigs and minnows for crappie. The problem was that in
East Tennessee crappie and smallmouth seem to like to inhabit the same areas of the lake during
winter. Winter Crappie fishermen were breaking off a LOT of small jigs thanks too smallmouth bass,
and not just any smallmouth bass, but BIG smallmouth.

Women In The Prefect
Instead of attributing their close relationship to possible eroticism, their companions, such as the
Prefect, seem perfectly willing to consider them as an investigative duo. As the Prefect enters their
domain, for example, Dupin stands to turn on a lamp as he and the narrator had been sitting in the
dark, but doesn t do so because the Prefect insists they get right into the discussion at hand (The
Purloined Poe 7). The mere fact that they re reading in near darkness seems contradictory as, one
might assume, light aids readers, but it becomes less strange once one considers the possibility that the
two men have simply wasted the day away in each other s company. The Prefect, as demonstrated,
does not make this connection. He then fails to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While their bachelor status allows them leeway in their expression of sexuality and their non
restriction to heterosexual, familial life, the aforementioned relationships both take advantage of
women in order to further establish and even deepen instances of male homosociality. Between the
narrator and Dupin, for instance, bonding tends to occur around their investigations. Their
investigations, coincidentally, revolve around the bodies of dead, discredited, or disempowered
women (Between Men 137). Both The Murders in the Rue Morgue and The Mystery of Marie Rôget
involve bodies of dead women that coincidentally have no place in discussions farther along the text.
Thus, Dupin and the narrator can discuss women without having to engage with them, whether such
engagements would have been romantic or otherwise. While no dead women are present in The
Purloined Letter, a disempowered woman is certainly present, being the victim of the text s driving
conflict. While the entirety of the text hinges on such theft, the victim of the crime is barely
mentioned, nevertheless never physically present (Derrick 72). Because bachelorhood precludes
intimate relations with women, the routing of homosocial desire through the disempowerment of
women works within the framework of all three of Poe s short

  • 2. Michael Flynn Research Paper Elisabeth Hibbett ENG102 03 21 March 2017 The events leading to Michael Flynn s resignation have sparked the attention of many Americans. Michael T. Flynn, known as national security adviser for Donald Trump, resigned after being revealed to America that he was guilty for being deceptive to Vice President, Mike Pence and other White House officials about conversations he held with Russian ambassadors about American sanctions. As it is for any other crime, it is not the first offense, but the devious covering of the crime that gets you into a bottomless pit. Attorney General Sally Yates enlightened members of the White House in January 2017 that Flynn was in danger of Russian blackmail. At the time of this, the White House took no action to this in regards to Yates being a female ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many questions are still yet to be answered such as knowing if he has hired a lawyer, what laws he broken if any, and where his life will be guided from this point out. Although Democrats and Republicans are indifferent on the situation, I believe involving the Federal Bureau of Investigation to help receive answers to questions that have still not been answered was the right decision. While Sally Yates faced consequences, such as losing her job due to being a female and speaking up in warning the house on Flynn being caught in a scheme that could cause blackmail, I can not help but wonder who knew what at this time in the ... • 3. Major Motor Pathways Case Study Look at Table 8.1 in which Carlson summarizes the Major Motor Pathways; consider the related cortical and subcortical structures controlling movement. Then consider the relationship between alpha motor neurons and extrafusal muscle fibers. Sir Charles Sherrington stated that the alpha motor neuron (which is also referred to as the lower motor neuron) is the final common pathway. As psychologists, this notion of the final common pathway being comprised of lower motor neuron axons is very important to us. Considering the above information, why would Sherrington and everyone since refer to the alpha motor neuron as the final common pathway? Incorporate neuroanatomical information about motor systems to support your explanation. The alpha motor ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... On top of the nasal cavity, lies the olfactory epithelium (mucous tissue that covers the cribriform plate and contains the cilia necessary for olfactory receptors). The process starts when air enters the nasal cavity and makes its way to the olfactory receptors. These olfactory receptors are located in the olfactory epithelium and contain many bipolar neurons. These receptors send processes to the epithelium where it divides into 10 to 20 cilia. Molecules of odor then must dissolve in the mucus and stimulate the receptors in the cilia, which detect aromatic molecules. Next, each olfactory receptor cell sends an axon into the olfactory bulb, which is located at the end of the olfactory tract. Here, it forms synapse with dendrites of mitral cells (neurons of olfactory bulb), which takes place in the dendritic and axonal aborizations, called the olfactory glomeruli. From there, the axons travel to the rest of the brain, some terminating in the ipsilateral forebrain and contralateral olfactory bulb. Furthermore, the axons of the olfactory tract project to either the amygdala, piriform cortex (region of limbic cortex) and the entorhinal cortex (region of the limbic cortex). From the amygdala, information then is sent to the hypothalamus. The entorhinal cortex sends its information to the hippocampus. The piriform cortex takes its information to the hypothalamus and orbitofrontal cortex ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. How Did Lewis Carroll Write Alice In Wonderland Lewis Carroll Ever curious about the author of Alice s Adventures in Wonderland? That person would be Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, otherwise known as Lewis Carroll, his famous alter ego. Carroll has written many books that have transformed the art of literature. His work has appealed to an abundance of children all over the world. Lewis Carroll contributed to fiction literature by creating a story that was the ultimate adventure to children everywhere. Carroll was born on January 27, 1832 in a small parish of Daresbury, Cheshire, England. Carroll had an average childhood, out of eleven children Lewis was the third. Even though being sheltered as a child he had an elaborate sense of imagination that truly left a mark on people. He gave the world many poems, short stories, mathematical lectures and photography. He was labeled a pedophile, but that didn t prove true. He was a generous friend, a brilliant author, and logic man. As Lewis Carroll said, How queer everything is to day! And yesterday things went on just as usual. I wonder if I ve been changed in the night? Let me think: was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I m not the same, the next question is, Who in the world am I? Ah, that s the great puzzle . This quote from him exemplifies the kind of person he always was. He was bright and cheery, that s probably why he got along with so much of the youth. • 5. Moving Again Moving again?! I exclaimed. My mom had announced this at the end of the month of February. Throughout my fourteen years of life, I could not keep count with my fingers of how many times we have moved. On the other hand, I understood her decision to move from Birch Bay to Bellingham. Besides, my brother and I were going to school there and all our friends were there, too. Not to mention the drastic change in our family s way of life, after a couple of months of hauling us from one place to another, on top of my mom working a full time job, everything was way harder for her especially now that she is a single parent. One late night during one of our many hauls to home, I was suddenly awakened from an emergency maneuver my mom made to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Renata and I looked at each other, we were terrified! We thought that someone was trying to break into the house. As petrified as we were, we wanted to know what was going on. The curtains by the window were shut and anyone or anything could be out there causing the scratching noise. We started arguing on who would open the curtains to check what was out there. Finally, I stepped up and took the courage to check it out. Besides, this was my house. Mortified, I was shaking as I pulled the curtain swiftly. Renata and I both screamed! We had not even seen what was out there, but we were just really very scared. My Mom woke up and rushed into my room very worried, causing my brother to wake up, too. Then, we checked on what was causing the commotion outside the window. There wasn t really a person at my window, it was a cat! Renata and I started laughing so hard to find out that it was nothing to be scared of, my Mom and brother were wondering what was going on. So, we told them what had happened and then we all started laughing. Our master evil plan went down the drain: to sneak out again without waking anyone up. It ended with waking up the whole household. And....nope! We absolutely did not tell my Mom that we were trying to sneak out. Oh, my word! We did not want to be grounded. • 6. Eloise In Connecticut Characters I mean you didn t really know Walt. He was the only boy I ever knew that could make me laugh. I mean really laugh . Eloise spends much time in Uncle Wiggily in Connecticut reminiscing about Walt, her true love, with her longtime friend Mary Jane. Drinking heavily and remembering the past, throughout the story Eloise and Mary Jane pays little attention to the present. Eloise s time in college with Walt was one of the happier times in her life, undoubtedly, she doesn t feel that same happiness in her current life. The death of her true love causes unhappiness as Eloise tries to adjust to a life without him. Eloise tries to fill the void by marrying a man, Lew, and having a child, Ramona. By having Mary Jane over and reminiscing, Eloise ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Towards the end of the story Eloise goes up to Ramona s room and sees Ramona sleeping on the far side of her bed, indicating she is sleeping with her imaginary friend. Eloise says I thought you told me Jimmy Jimmereeno was run over and killed . This is when Eloise finds out Ramona made a new friend named Mickey Mickeranno. Eloise is angered by this and forces Ramona to the middle of her bed. In her rage, she violently turns off Ramona s lamp, but in the process hurts her ankle. Poor Uncle Wiggly Eloise says. Her getting angered by the fact the Ramona created a new friend in her mind shows how she envy s Ramona s young and creative mind. If Ramona s imaginary friend dies, she can just simply replace them and go on with life as if nothing happened. This is not the same for Eloise. To Eloise, Walt was irreplaceable. When she finally tried to replace Walt with Lew she grew very unhappy and could not go on with life. When Eloise said Poor Uncle Wiggily she was referring to what Walt had said when they were together. Eloise tells the reader the origin of the line. She was running with Walt when she fell and twisted her ankle. To cheer her up, Walt said Poor Uncle Wiggily . Eloise admitted she misses him and still mourns his death. The death of Walt wasn t only taking a toll on Eloise but also on Ramona because Eloise took her frustration out on Ramona. After her rage, Eloise asks Mary Jane I was a nice girl wasn t I? For the first time the reader sees Eloise possibly looking for change in her life. • 7. North Carolina State University s Environmental... Introduction During this semester I traveled with the North Carolina State University s Environmental Technology and Management program ET 201 class, under the direction of Dr. Teresa Litzenberger, to Little Rock Creek in Raleigh North Carolina. Little Rock Creek is a small stream located in southeast raleigh near the Walnut Creek Wetland Center. Located in a watershed of approximately 705.879 acres, the creek looks like an upside down uppercase L from a map perspective. The creek floor is sandy with a few small rocks (cobblestone) in areas. The stream has plenty of tree cover to provide shade. However, the lack of large trees encourages the curves in the creek to widen which allows the water to slow down and create pools throughout the creek. According to Title 15A of the North Carolina Administrative Code, Rule .0302 contains the classifications for waters located within the Neuse River Basin (15A NCAC 02L .0312). Little Rock Creek, however, is not classified and therefore follows Rule .0301 which simply states that it should carry the classification of the stream to which it is a tributary (. Assessment and Methodology The Rapid Stream Assessment Technique (RSAT) uses data measured in the field to determine a stream s condition. These data fields include channel stability, channel scouring or sediment deposition, physical instream habitat, water quality, riparian habitat conditions, and biological indicators of macroinvertebrates. The RSAT ranking for each ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. How Does Cronus See The Titanomachy As A Battle Of Good... After this week s lecture I do not see the Titanomachy as a battle of good and evil. Zeus and his father Cronus are in battle because Cronus has decided to swallow all his children, but he was tricked when it came to his sixth son, Zeus. As Zeus was sent to another island, Cronus was given a stone to swallow instead of his actual son. When the father and son battle each other I do not see it as a battle of good and evil. Zeus is simply fighting for his brothers who he eventually gets back from his father Cronus. Cronus himself went against his father Uranus. That is the main reason I do not see the Titanomachy as a battle of good and evil because I would not know who to select as good and who to select as being evil. Instead, I see the ... Risk Management Task 1a JIT Task 1 Risk Management Risk Management From the last decade risk management is the most researched and exciting area in the financial industry as it elaborates how to minimize and avert the hazard of risk from the portfolios of different assets and from the operations of financial institutions. Regulators and depositors mainly emphasize the risk management and according to them risk management is an essential ingredient to enhance the value of shareholders and increase their level of confidence. Risk management is the assessment of risks to mitigate, monitor and control the probability or impact on uncertain events. Risk management methods vary from industry to industry for instance it cannot be same for project management, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Companies and governments operating in the complex economic environment of the 21st century must contend with a broad range of risks. Some do so in an adhoc or reactive fashion, responding to risks as they appear, whilst others are proactive, planning in advance the risks that they wish to assume and how they can best manage them. Since it has become clear over the past few years that risk can be financially damaging when neglected, anecdotal and empirical evidence suggests that institutions increasingly opt for formalized processes to manage uncertainties that can lead to losses. Risk can be classified in a number of ways and though we do not intend to present a detailed taxonomy of risk, a brief overview is useful in order to frame my discussion. To begin, risk can be divided broadly into financial risk and operating risk. Financial risk is the risk of loss arising from the movement of a market or performance of a counterparty and can be segregated into market risk (the risk of loss due to movement in market references, such as interest rates, stock prices or currency rates), liquidity risk (the risk of loss due to an inability to obtain unsecured funding or sell assets in order to make payments) and credit risk (the risk of loss due to non performance by a counterparty on its contractual obligations). A rise in funding costs, an inability to sell financial assets at carrying value or the default by a counterparty on a loan are examples of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In these particular literacy works, however, the main characters white counterparts seemed to have done the most fibbing to put it lightly. From this habit of lying, most forms of African American literature have been effected, from early literary documents written by African Americans that have been altered by white editors to lies told by white people in the actual story written by African Americans. This paper will take a look at examples of incidents in which these lies occurred, and also discuss these lies told by whites and how they effected African Americans individually as well as a whole. This first example of the type of lies told by white people effected the earlier African American literary authors. They fell victim to these white lies in terms of their freedom of what they could and could not write. One example is that of Briton Hammon in his literary tale entitled A Narrative of Uncommon Sufferings. In his piece, he recalls different event he had experienced. One of these events was an encounter with a group of Indians. He noted them as savages which is very similar to how white people of this time period addresses the matter of Indians. This simple metaphor led some to believe this literary work of Briton Hammon was, indeed, heavily edited by a white editor. As a whole, different events throughout the story ... The new Democratic Republican controlled Congress easily eliminated most of the midnight judges by repealing the Judiciary Act in 1802. They impeached Supreme Court justice Samuel Chase, but acquitted him amidst inner party squabbles. The Chase acquittal coupled with Marshall s impeccably argued decision put an end to the Jeffersonian attack (Marbury verses Madison, 1803). Some of the issues that came up and the ruling were as followed: 1. Does Marbury have a right to the commission? Yes. Marbury has a right to the commission. The order granting the commission takes effect when the Executive s constitutional power of appointment has been exercised, and the power has been exercised when the last act required from the person possessing the power has been performed. The grant of the commission to Marbury became effective when signed by President Adams. 2. Does the law grant Marbury a remedy? Yes. The law grants Marbury a remedy. In addition, patients have good and bad days, such that a patient s performance on a particular day may be a cause for misclassification of aphasia. Furthermore, a patient can evolve from one classification to another during the course of recovery (e.g. from Broca s Aphasia to Anomic Aphasia). Also, there are varying degrees within a particular classification. For example, Patrick had mild Broca s aphasia, while some patients who have Broca s aphasia can barely speak at all (i.e. severe Broca s aphasia). Nevertheless, the classification system according to syndromes is useful when describing groups of people, rather than individuals, for example in research. For example, in a clinical setting it may be useful to use a classification (e.g. Wernicke s aphasia), when talking to the client or the client s family. This is because it can give them a reasonable sense of what is happening to them without overwhelming them (although in most cases, it is still overwhelming), and because in many cases people and their families prefer to have an answer rather than not knowing what has happened. The chart provides information by four firms, Fortescue Metals Group (FMG), Vale, Rio Tinto, BHP (WAIO) and the rest of the world. According to this data set these four producers accounts for approximately 65% 70% of iron ore produced for the export market. This suggests the market has medium level of concentration reflecting a scenario of monopolistic competition. Another aspect to consider when examining the iron ore export market is the degree of product differentiation between iron ore producing firms. Product differentiation impacts the ability or preference of buyers to substitute products, in this case iron ore, produced by different firms. Iron ore is mined in a variety of different types; hematite, goethite, limonite and magnetite which contain different concentrations of iron. If the iron ore of a firm is considered to be of higher quality than other firms, then lower quality iron ore from other firms may be considered an imperfect substitute . In a collision, a driver s car is stopped by another object (Ex: another car, a tree, a lamp post). Anything not attached to the car will continue to move forward because they are not stopped by the force that halted the car. Therefore a person who is not wearing a seatbelt during a collision would fly to the front of the car until they hit something (Ex: the dashboard, the wheel, a car seat). The stopping distance of the vehicle going 60 mph would be four times greater than that of the vehicle going 30 mph. Kinetic energy and stopping distance have a direct relationship, as explained in the previous answer. To prepare to enter sharp curves, a driver should slow down. Lowering the velocity of a car decreases the kinetic energy in the car. This means the braking distance would be shorter since there is less kinetic energy to convert. Drivers that travel at a slower speed and have a short braking distance can pass through sharp curves easier because they have more control over the vehicle and can stop if the vehicle gets too close to the edge of the road.A reason why car crashes have different levels of injuries is that the force of impact varies in distinctive situations. • 32. Cloak And Sticks And The Small Kingdom Of Copperville Cloak and Sticks Once, in the small kingdom of Copperville. Copperville was a peaceful kingdom. Every year, since 1601, there was a grand feast and that was all excitement that happened in the kingdom. There was a princess who went by the name of Rose in the small empire. The princess was adored by all from her caring kingdom. She was kind, fair, and honest. All was undisturbed in Copperville until three days after the princess s fifteenth birthday. A mysterious knock came upon the princess s oak door. Rap tap tap. Come in, said Rose, for it so happened she had no mind to what lay beyond the door. The door creaked open, and the princess looked up and gasped. Standing before her was a chilling, creepy, and cloaked figure. The creature ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... King then called for a messenger and said, Fetch my most precious daughter, Rose. Yes, my Lord, answered the messenger, scurrying off on his royal duty. When the messenger could not find the princess, he returned and put on a forlorn face saying, I am terribly sorry to report this sir, but I could not find thy most lovely jewel anywhere, sir, I hope you understand, your majesty. I most certainly do NOT understand! roared King. The ruler stomped his new leather boots. He was not often told no. King called to his guards, All of you shall search this castle until my daughter in found. The guards rushed off, determined to be the first to find the princess. Then, he shouted after them, ALL OF THE CUPBOARDS, ON ALL THE TURRETS, AND IN EVERY LITTLE CRACK IN THE WALLS!!!! EVERY NOOK AND CRANNY MUST BE SEARCHED UNTIL I FIND HER!!!!! He turned to the messenger and said in a calm, yet rushed voice, You are dismissed. After the search in the castle was over and nothing was found, King called an assembly of knights. He told his four most noble knights to go and search far and wide for his little princess. The knights accepted the task and were soon off. The knights searched and searched for Rose like a writer searches for a quill. They came across an old, deteriorating, abandoned necromancer s tower. While walking up to the thick iron door, they heard a hoarse scream. It s the princess! said one. They ran up and tried to break the hunk of metal ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 36. History Of Float And Fly The Float and Fly A Historical and Sporting View There has been a LOT of talk about the Float and Fly lately in magazines and on regional TV shows. The Newest tactic to catch big fish! Reality is that the Float and Fly has been around for years. It was originally a way to catch crappie in the winter. Fishermen used the rig to fish small jigs and minnows for crappie. The problem was that in East Tennessee crappie and smallmouth seem to like to inhabit the same areas of the lake during winter. Winter Crappie fishermen were breaking off a LOT of small jigs thanks too smallmouth bass, and not just any smallmouth bass, but BIG smallmouth. Many anglers have used the Float and Fly and many have used some form of it over the years. However ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Spinning reels are the only way to go. • 37. Women In The Prefect Instead of attributing their close relationship to possible eroticism, their companions, such as the Prefect, seem perfectly willing to consider them as an investigative duo. As the Prefect enters their domain, for example, Dupin stands to turn on a lamp as he and the narrator had been sitting in the dark, but doesn t do so because the Prefect insists they get right into the discussion at hand (The Purloined Poe 7). The mere fact that they re reading in near darkness seems contradictory as, one might assume, light aids readers, but it becomes less strange once one considers the possibility that the two men have simply wasted the day away in each other s company. The Prefect, as demonstrated, does not make this connection. He then fails to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While their bachelor status allows them leeway in their expression of sexuality and their non restriction to heterosexual, familial life, the aforementioned relationships both take advantage of women in order to further establish and even deepen instances of male homosociality. Between the narrator and Dupin, for instance, bonding tends to occur around their investigations. Their investigations, coincidentally, revolve around the bodies of dead, discredited, or disempowered women (Between Men 137). Both The Murders in the Rue Morgue and The Mystery of Marie Rôget involve bodies of dead women that coincidentally have no place in discussions farther along the text. Thus, Dupin and the narrator can discuss women without having to engage with them, whether such engagements would have been romantic or otherwise. While no dead women are present in The Purloined Letter, a disempowered woman is certainly present, being the victim of the text s driving conflict. While the entirety of the text hinges on such theft, the victim of the crime is barely mentioned, nevertheless never physically present (Derrick 72). Because bachelorhood precludes intimate relations with women, the routing of homosocial desire through the disempowerment of women works within the framework of all three of Poe s short ...
