How Does Carroll Think Of Something So Different Like The...
Alice is running forward, or so she thinks; however, Alice is doing the exact opposite of that.
Alice has a main objective in this novel; she must move eight squares in order to become a
queen. In Lewis Carroll s, Through the Looking Glass, Carroll adds a certain pizazz that most
people wonder where it comes from. How does he come up with certain characters? How does he
think of something so different like the Jabberwocky poem? Many things contribute to Carroll s
writing: struggling with sleep deprivation, dealing with dual personalities, having an education,
growing up with several siblings, and handling abnormal eating habits. Sleep deprivation has been
known to cause hallucinations and the inability to retain information. Carroll suffered from sleep
deprivation and the side effects of it. One can assume that he used the side effect, the inability to
retain information, in chapter three as Alice is traveling through the woods. What do you call
yourself? the Fawn said at last. Such a soft sweet voice it had! I wish I knew! Thought poor Alice.
She answered, rather sadly, Nothing, just now ( Carroll 43). The fawn and Alice are walking
through the woods and Alice is having a rather hard time remembering her name as they move
along. The fact that she cannot remember her... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One item that plays a role in this narrative is that Carroll was, The eldest boy in a family of 11

older than many of his siblings, Carroll began writing creative short fiction stories. Through the
years he continued writing, but it was now as a job. Carroll exhibits his creativity through the
White knight s inventions ( Carroll 110). The White Knight invents anklets to go around his horse

Why Is Jfk Assassination Important
The assassination of JFK was a historic moment in US history because he was the president of
the united states and he had been shot on his way to a speech in Dallas, Texas. This always
shows us what can really happen and how people are crazy. He had ended up dying in the
hospital that he had been rushed to. At the time JFK had been the president and after he died his
brother ended up being the president and had been assassinated as well. JFK had been
assassinated on November 22, 1963, at 12:38. He was shot when he was in a car and had been
rushed to the hospital from theirs. He had been killed because somebody didn t like him in office

The Australia Government Information Security Manual
The Australia signal Directorate (ASD) generates the Australia government Information Security

The PSPF eludes organizations to the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM)

investors have access to certain financial information before they buy stock in a company. This
information is to remain public and readily available as long as the company is publicly traded.
This means that the companies that are publicly traded must disclose this financial and other related

Comparing Mccandless And Ralph Waldo Emerson
Influenced by the era of romanticism, transcendentalism teaches that divinity can be found
throughout nature and humanity. The focus is on self; self reliance; and independence.
Romantic authors, such as Ralph Waldo Emerson, were strong influencers for these beliefs.
Emerson once said, A man in debt is so far a slave. The wants of man are an insatiable desire.
People are practically enslaved to debt as if they let it lead their lives, which is an extremely
common lifestyle in today s society. Ralph Waldo Emersonuses Nature and Self Reliance to give an
insight on transcendental beliefs, while Jon Krakauer uses Into the Wild to portray Chris
McCandless as a contemporary hero through those beliefs. Ralph Waldo Emerson uses Self Reliance

The American Civil War
The American Civil War, which occurred between 1861 and 1865, pitted the Union North against
the Confederate South. Between 1835 and 1877, there was another Civil War occurring within the
United States. The other Civil War involved pitting the rich against the poor. One of the most
important assertions Zinn makes involves these struggles: In these books, given to millions of
young Americans, there is little on class struggle in the nineteenth century. The period before and
after the Civil War is filled with politics, elections, slavery, and the race question. Even where
specialized books on the Jacksonian period deal with labor and economic issues they center on the
presidency, and thus perpetuates the traditional dependency on heroic... Show more content on

Next, unionization was the rise of labor unions. Workers banded together for the first time, as
they felt they were being treated unjustly. They demanded higher wages and a ten hour workday.
The Lowell Girls Movement was stressed in this chapter, as Zinn really illustrated the plight of
the Lowell girls. The Lowell system was controlled by rules and regulations, and young girls
would work in the mills and live in dormitories that were prisonlike. They had extreme work
hours, waking up at four in the morning and working until seven thirty at night, and they were
fed scraps. Women began protesting and organized a Factory Girls Association, which ended up
going on strike. They held out for about a month, but they ultimately ran out of money and were
forced to return to work. The last big movement was the Great Railroad Strike of 1877. It began
with lower wages ($1.75 a day for brakemen working 12 hours), deaths and injuries among
workers (loss of limbs and the crushing of men between cars), and scheming by the railroad
companies. Strikes broke out at the Baltimore Ohio station, Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania Railroad,
Harrisburg, St. Louis, and had even made the news in Europe. The working class rioted against
unfair working conditions and wages, and tried to overcome the evils of the government. This
chapter shows how

Music Education At A Young Age
Today, school districts have been devaluing the importance of music. School districts are forced to
cut spending on music education and replace it with other important classes, such as physical
education. Music classes were the first to be cut because given a small to budget elementary
schools, school officials have seen that music classes were unnecessary to educationand believe that
it has no benefit. I disagree with this statement because I believe it is crucial to have music
educationat a young age. Luckily, when I was in elementary school, there was still music education
and has influenced me to become a musician because music has helped me with school and work.
Having music education allows a child s brainto develop a fully active brain, since music functions
the creative side of the brain. However, studies have shown that music has helped with the left
side of the brain as well, allowing students to build thinking skills and raise test scores such as the
SAT. Music training at a young age helps develop the brain areas that involves language and
reasoning. Studies have shown that music training develops the left side of the brain, which helps
processing language and help recognize patterns and memorization. It is also shown that the left
side of the brain is better developed with music and that can help retain new information in young
minds. A good example of how music helps with new information is the alphabet. The alphabet was
taught to kids as a song and

The Civil War, By Harriet Beecher Stowe
Albert Einstein once said, You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play
better than anyone else. Honestly, what quote represents General Pierre Gustave Toutant
Beauregard better than that? It could be said that Beauregard, with his quick wit and
tremendous skill, was destined to play a vital role in the Civil War. Decades of tension and
rivalry between the North and the South led to the five year war between the states, more
commonly known as the Civil War. No one knows for certain what the true cause for war was;
some people claim it was slavery; some people insist it was state s rights. The main issues included

The five year war resulted in over 360,000 Union deaths and over 260,000 Confederate deaths,
with gruesome and bloody skirmishes and battles such as the Battle of Antietam, the bloodiest
single day of the war, and the Battle of Gettysburg, the bloodiest battle of the war . The war
ended in a Union victory after General Robert E. Lee surrendered to General Ulysses S. Grant at
Appomattox Courthouse on April 9, 1865 (historynet). But how did General Beauregard affect the
Civil War? To summarize, Beauregard played a key role in the Battle of Fort Sumter, the First
Battle of Bull Run, and was an excellent militant. Pierre Gustave Toutant Beauregard was born
on May 28, 1818, into a well respected Creole family. He was raised on a sugarcane plantation in
St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, which is just outside of New Orleans. Beauregard attended school
in New York City, but in 1834 he was appointed to the United States Military Academy at West
Point. He was popular, with nicknames such as Little Creole and Little Napoleon, and finished

Nazi Ideals
The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas
John Boyne characterizes Bruno s innocence in order to challenge Nazi ideals. The book starts out
describing the life of a wealthy, Aryan, nine year old who suddenly moves out of his perfect house
in Berlin, Germany to a house near the concentration camp Aushwitz. Soon after Bruno discovers
the people in striped pyjamas, tension builds and his understanding of the purpose behind the fence
of Aushwitz reveal the shocking reality of the Holocaust, causing the reader to question the true
intentions of the Nazi regime. John Boyne first challenges Nazi ideals in the book when he
introduces Lieutenant Kotler and Pavel to the story and John displays Bruno s dislike for Kotler s
interactions with Pavel. Come over ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is interesting to see how Bruno understands all of this, because he had very little knowledge of
the Nazi regime and their intentions. John Boyne made the Nazi regime seem less dominant in
the book by characterizing Bruno this way. For example: Bruno repeatedly mispronounces
Aushwitz (As Out With) and Fuhrer (As Fury) I think the author s purpose was to ridicule the
place and the person. Bruno mispronouncing these words not only makes fun of these words, it
also implies that he didn t care about the Nazi Regime, because he didn t ever try to spell the
words correctly. A more prominent example however lies in the part of the book where Bruno
meets Adolf Hitler himself. However, Bruno s lack of knowledge portrayed a view to Adolf Hitler
that wasn t very common at that time. The Fury was far shorter than Father and not, Bruno
supposed, quite as strong...and a moustache so tiny in fact that Bruno wondered why bothered with
it at all or whether he had simply forgotten a piece when he was shaving. This quote shows that
Bruno didn t hold Hitler up high unlike many others

Analysis Of Marion Dadds And Susan Hart
This paper from Doing Practicioner Research Differently, by Marion Dadds and Susan Hart,
explores the way in which a researcher (Joseph Geraci) has entered into the world of several
individuals living with autism, and has spent time observing and working with them in order to
gain a better understanding of what it is like to live with autism, and the reasons behind why autistic
individuals behave in some of the ways that they do.
The underpinning philosophical basis for the methodological approaches the research adopts.
By definition, an underpinning philosophy means the foundation beliefs/the system on which the
research is based around. In the case of Joe Geraci s research, his main methods of data collection
were those of observation and conversation. In research, observations can either be overt or
disclosed (that is, the participants know they are being studied) or covert/undisclosed (where the
true identity of the researcher is kept secret from the group, a deception)
In general, observations are in fact a relatively cheap method of data collection to carry out, and
the researcher needs few resources. However, what they are is very time consuming for the
researcher.
In 1995, Bassey said that the main purpose of research is to create new knowledge and
understanding for us, to help us know something we did not previously know (Bassey, M 1995),
which is what Geraci as a researcher is hoping to achieve here by experiencing his subjects
behavior first hand in

The Government Effect On Protests Demonstrations Protests
The Government Effect On The Protests
Protests have numerous factors that affect the result of the protest and one major
element is the government. In the 1960 s some protests were brutal due to
discrimination; yet, the largest protest achieved to maintain a safe environment because
the government respected and allowed the protests. The March on Washington for Jobs
and Freedom in 1963 peacefully gathered approximately 250,000 citizens together to
protest the high level of black unemployment, minimal wages African Americans received
for jobs, poor job mobility, and continuous racial segregation. In contrast, The Gezi
Park Protests in Turkey, Taksim in 2013 got out of control due to the government response to
the initial 50 environmentalists who opposed to cutting the trees and building a shopping mall
instead. The government used police force brutally against the activists and as a result,
approximately 3.5 million protesters right to freely voice their dissatisfaction and use the
media was constrained. So, even though today, overall technology and cities have
improved excessively, Turkey is still facing an immense pressure and constraint from
the government during protests compare to the protests fifty years ago in Washington
D.C.
In every country, protecting its citizens rights is the government s fundamental duty
in order to maintain the peace and unity. But in Turkey, citizens rights were violated
because the government used its

The Theory of Knowledge
Theory of Knowledge
5. The historian s task is to understand the past; the human scientist by contrast, is looking to
change the future. To what extent is this true in these areas of knowledge?
Life is too short for any individual to make every mistake. We use history to learn where we come
from and what caused events of the past to occur. It is important for us to have a strong and in
depth understanding of what caused events such as the Renaissance all the way up to World War
Two. Creating this strong in depth understanding of the past helps form a guide to make our future
better. Human Science seeks the functionality of the human mind in order to reason why people act
the way they do. These scientists find ways the mind works in order to avoid or coup with
undesirable traits of our psyche. Both History and Human Science, even though completely
different fields, use reason and emotion to gain knowledge of their areas of study. This leads us to
the question To what extent is the knowledge acquired by an Historian more or less reliable than
the knowledge gained through reason and emotion in the sciences? .
Historians attempt to identify what incidents and what kind of people changed the course of
human history. Inquiring what caused those incidents to occur? What made people act like the
way they did and why? Their studies observe both pleasant and cruel things of the past. Once able
to recognize what produced a good or a bad event or maybe even a person in

Methods Of Using Data Relationships And Computer Models
Analytics is the process of using data relationships and computer models to drive business value,
improve decision making and understand human relationships. If the Information Age began in the
1990s with the rise of digital technology, then we ve now officially entered the Age of Big Data,
wherein companies like Google, Facebook, IBM, Teradata, Oracle, and SAS have the capacity to
gather a lifetime s worth of data about customers and their behavior. But that data is just an
incomprehensible pile of numbers until a skilled analyst turns those numbers into meaningful
information, useful for making intelligent business decisions. Today, companies are searching for
experts in data analytics who have high formed business and technology backgrounds, and who
understand the importance of the latest data and Information Age trends. This requires more than
simple data analysis. Prescriptive analytics focuses on trends using simulation and optimization,
while predictive analytics uses statistical tools to predict the future, and descriptive analytics is
concerned with enabling smart decisions based on data. Data miners and data analytics experts who
are versatile in all three areas of analytics can help corporate executives translate their data into
intelligent information, which provides companies a competitive advantage and increases their
bottom lines. Analytics have made their presence felt in every industry, but they have a major role
to play in the sports industry and many teams

violation of human rights. Firstly, demonstrated is a map of where female genital mutilation is
happening in the parts of Africa. The map introduces that Somalia is the most well known spot
there is 98% of prevalence of female genital mutilation. This leads to what female circumcision
actually is. Female circumcision or genital mutilation, is an aggregate removing of the outside

This solution is suggested by a United Nations public health arm called World Health
Organisation also most commonly referred to as WHO . Building evidence does in fact help
people to examine their own beliefs and values related to the practice in a way which does not
seem threatening or harsh. Educational sessions will empower women to exchange the traumatic
experiences they have been through and help them reveal and share their feeling and examine the
different attitudes reflected towards female genital mutilation in the community. Increasing access
to education is another key strategy because educated women are less likely to allow their
daughters to be cut. This is certainly a wonderful idea as women can relate to other women about
their experiences however, i don t think this is the best conceivable thought out there because
teaching the girls out there in Somalia would not help as much because they do not have a word to
say when it comes to these matters. This is because it is the girls parents who initiate the entire
procedure and ensure that females experience genital mutilation to keep up their family notoriety

Gender Stereotypes In The Rocky Horror Picture Show
The Rocky Horror Picture Show is not so much a movie as more of a long running social
phenomenon (Ebert). The interpretation of the film, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which was
produced in 1975, opens the curtains to the cross on top of a church after being introduced to the
characters by the huge, bright red lips. Promptly after the introduction the camera moves in a
sensational gesture towards a just married couple that is walking to the front of the church with
their wedding guests, carrying the traditional wedding ceremony of throwing the newly brides
bouquet. The visual that is taken in this scene seems to be vital to the aspect behind the film, as it
is showing how dull a wedding that carries the same tradition can be, especially since it is being
related to the following scene at the castle of Dr. Frank n Furter. With the proximity of the
heterosexual traditions and the events at the mansion, it is obvious this film is meant to draw into
question the common genderstereotypes along with sexuality. The Rocky Horror Picture Show
validates that gender roles and stereotypes are socially constructed and that there should not be any
social stigma attached to personalities that cannot easily be identified as a male or female by using
irony, the use of social practice, and more specifically through Dr. Fran n Furter s character.
Even with an unbiased reading of the production, it is obvious that The Rocky Horror Picture
Show does in fact speak on the social issue of

Bacon s Rebellion Analysis
The elderly Berkeley had some secret scheme in mind, having governing Virginia since 1641, he
wanted to maintain an alliances relationship with friendly neighboring Natives tribes and uses them
as the buffers while fighting the Susquehannocks war, and in fact maintaining his fur trade
monopoly. On the other side, Bacon and his followers, the discontented Virginians blamed the
Natives, friendly or not, for all their problems. Theirs viewed of the Susquehannocks war as an
opportunity to solve all their problems at once, for good.
Not being able to convince the Governor for the commission he felt warranted, Bacon secretly fled
Jamestown only to returned later with five or six hundred armed men and marched directly to
where Governor and the Council were in the meeting. In the meantime, the news flock Jamestown
with more raids and murder of the settlers committed by the Natives. Having his men surrounded

Analysis Of The Book Follow The Drinking Gourd
And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back,
sealed with seven seals. Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to
open the scroll and to loose its seals? Revelation 5:1 2 (New King James Version)
During an African American history class, the book, Follow the Drinking Gourd, by Francis
Gaither (1940), referenced imagery and symbolism of the American slaves who sought freedom
using the Underground Railroad as the link from south to north. The gourd was the wooden ladle
used by the slaves to dip water. Gaither writes, Various elements from the song and the Parks
account describing it are woven into the novel. For example, looming overhead ...swung the Great
Dipper the Drinking Gourd... The stars of the Big Dipper pointed the slaves to the north. Gaither
continues, All of the characters in this story are fictional except Peg leg Joe, a real person
associated in Southern legend with the Drinking Gourd song and with that part of Alabama where it
was once current. Listening to the song used, it repeats itself for the reader to understand that the
result is freedom.
The preceding story is a similarity to the book of Revelation. Full of imagery and symbolism to
reflect the situation at hand. For the modern day reader, the book can seem like a 1000 word
jigsaw puzzle. Society today does not use images and symbols as times past. During the time, John

Internal Medicine Rotation
Shortly into my Internal Medicine rotation, I was discouraged. Though my residents and attendings
continuously taught me, and the patients were grateful for our care, my discouragement stemmed
from a personal goal: to influence medical management. My goal was to diagnose a DVT before an
attending or suggest drug combinations before my resident. With this goal in mind, my day ended
with me feeling exhausted, full of new information, and dissatisfied. However, when I noticed that
my patients were often confused about their care and were uncertain which of the white coat

Puerto City Market History
Ponce City Market is a new development including retail, residential and commercial space that
repurposes the historic Sears Roebuck and Company building in the Old Fourth Ward district of
Atlanta.
The site has been in public use at least back to the 1860 s when it was a popular day trip for
Atlantans who wished to visit Ponce de Leon Springs for their reputed health benefits. The springs
on the site were named by Atlanta physician, Dr. Henry L. Wilson, for Juan Ponce de Leon, of
Fountain of Youth fame, and it is from these springs, rather than the Spanish explorer, that Ponce de
Leon Avenue takes its name. Over time additional attractions were built at the site to capitalize on
the popularity of the springs and in 1903 the construction of a true amusement park was begun.
Ponce de Leon Park remained a local attraction through the early 1920 s.
In 1924, the park now closed, Sears Roebuck and Company chose the site for their Southeastern
headquarters and began work on the current structure, completing the first phase in 1926. The
building is one of the largest in the South and is located on a sixteen acre site facing Ponce de
Leon Avenue. Sears closed their retail store on the site after more than fifty years but maintained
the building as a regional office until 1987.

The Growing Prevalence Of Cultural Tourism
In determining a business opportunity, two main problems have been identified. The first problem
arises from the growing prevalence of cultural tourism; modern tourists are more concerned with
immersing themselves in the cultural context of their destination than ever before (Richards,
2007). Travellers are wanting to see more than just the sights there is an emerging desire to meet
local inhabitants and experience what life is like for them (Smith, 2009). The problem that arises
from this is that it can be difficult for travellers to meet locals and experience the culture beyond
that which can be found in the guidebook. Additionally, these kinds of experiences can be

The Anxiety Of A Group Project
There is a significant amount of anxiety that follows with the mention of a group project. The

Pet Mental Health
Mental Health Pets can have a variety of different impacts on a person s mental health. Pet
owners are less likely to suffer from various mental health issues such as lethargy (having a lack
of energy), apathy (being uninterested or unenthusiastic), insomnia (the inability to sleep),
depression (feeling despondent, dejected, or in low spirits), and substance abuse (such as
alcoholism or drug addictions). Pets can aid people suffering from depression by helping them
ignore their problems for a period of time, and contribute to clearing their minds. Routine is also
important for people who are depressed, and pets require daily routines, such as feeding times,
walks, and downtime. People with substance abuse problems can be helped by pets as well. Pets
can help to calm people down and reduce tension, which can make it easier for people to open up
and talk about their problems, so others (and themselves) can determine the best way to aid them
in their recovery. Pets can also give people confidence so they feel ready to face their problems.

the battle that determined whether the largest slaveholding country in the world would continue to

more closely related to the surface area in terms of where the materials and labour hours are
concentrated. We also know that though there is a growth in demand, variability exists across
different countries. Greater the variability, there are chances that there would be a greater
amount of underutilized capacity and at this stage opening a new plant in a different location
altogether could make the entire scenario vulnerable. Drawbacks of not opening a new plant in
Southern Europe are as follows: * Loose an opportunity to tap a lower cost labour market *
Reduction in transportation costs had a new plant come up in Southern Europe * Would not be
able to offset the protectionist sentiment in both France and Italy However, if we do an analysis
of the options provided based on the cost and complications, this is what we get: | EXPANSION
AT UNIPLANT| A NEW PLANT IN SOUTHERN EUROPE| Land cost| Dfl. 500,000 per hectare|
Dfl. 4 million per hectare| Equipment Cost| Cost same for both|

Do Supplemental Software And Technology Help English As A...
The research question the group asks is, Do supplemental software and technologies help
English as a Second Language (ESL) and English Language Learner (ELL) students in both
short and long term ways? Our target population for this study is college students that are ELLs.
Finding participants is one part of the study, but since we are researching students on a college
campus they will have to be at least 18 to 30 years old to participate in the study. UMKC has a
very large and diverse campus; we will reach out to the Applied Language Institute (ALI) students
through a class survey. We decided that college would be a better population to start out with
because it provides many social opportunities. We are looking for a population that will provide us
with direct feedback from the trial. Students in college will know how they learn and be able to
explain how technology either helped them or hurt them while learning. Having students participate
on campus also ensures that they have access to internet and WiFi. We are aware that there are
many limitations that face college students, but there are also benefits to choosing students in
college.
Sample
The participants in the study range from 18 to 30 years old. We did not specify what year we are
looking for in college. We just wanted to have adults participate. If there are students that do not fit
into the age range, they should be noted as younger and provide parental consent in order to ensure
that we will be able to

The Role Of Metropolitan Filaret s Divine Context And...
The influence of Metropolitan Filaret s divine context and ambiguity are evident in the
document. In speaking to the unity of God and tsar, Metropolitan Filaret makes the connection
very clear. He wrote, We thus became convinced that the problem of improving the condition of
serfs was a sacred inheritance bequeathed to Us by Our predecessors, a mission which, in the
course of events, Divine Providence has called upon Us to fulfill. The focus is that the time for
emancipation is now, whereas it had not been time before, and that the tsar is fulfilling the will of
God. While there is some discussion of the specific terms of emancipation such as the temporary
obligation the peasants still had to the lords and a vague hint of... Show more content on

In addition to being able to read scripture themselves, peasants also could read church liturgy and
practices, which created questions and enabled peasants to see how insufficient their parish priest
was. Peasants began sending petitions and grievances to local and national church offices; they
wanted increased authority over their own parishes, something the Orthodox Church did not want to
give. The Russian Orthodox Church viewed this increased interest among the peasantry very
negatively. The Church often interpreted peasant activism as a negative consequence of secular
enlightenment that ultimately would harm the Orthodox faith through the dilution of its traditional
hierarchical principles. Thus, the church became increasingly reactionary and isolated itself further
from the peasantry interacting even less and trying to distance the peasantry from doctrine and
liturgy. The Church saw peasant interest as directly undermining their power instead of a
development of a more devoted populous. This led to the paradox of a weakening political and
culture power of the Church while simultaneously the peasantry became increasingly devoted to
localized religious practice. The gap widened even further between the Church and the peasantry
due to the Church s fear and mistrust of the peasantry. As the Church distanced themselves from the
peasantry in relational and spiritual realms, it also tried to reassert its control over the peasantry,
primarily through

Presidential Election Campaign Analysis
Four years have past and it is time for yet another presidential election. Presidential campaigning
for this election started as early as February, approximately 21 months prior to the actual Election
Date. The Republican party had originally 17 candidates, 16 of them dropped out leading Donald J.
Trump to be the Republican Nominee. The fight for the Democratic nomination was neck and neck.
With originally 6 candidates, 5 whom dropped out, lead Hillary Clinton to be the Democratic
Nominee. Alongside the Republican and Democratic nominations we have the Green Party whose
candidate is Jill Stein and Libertarian Party, Gary Johnson.
Each candidate represent and stand for different issues. With Donald Trump you have the big push
for a wall to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However there were people who from the start knew exactly who they were voting for and why.
It s all about, which candidate best represents the issues you want to be changed (or keep.)
Donald Trump is talking about how America would be better off if we kept everyone out of it,
not letting anyone from mexico entering by building a wall. Trump thoroughly believes that this
wall is how we will make America great again. There are many people who are for trumps
immigration stance, wanting to send back any illegal immigrants to their country. However what
if being failed to be noted is that building a wall is only regressive. Building this wall with one of
America s closest allies will only put a strain in our relationship with not only Mexico, but the rest
of the world. Trump wants to alienate and attack all Mexicans legal and illegal in the United States,
as opposed to Jill Stein who wants to be able to provide for them. Stein support immigrants rights
and wants to create a welcoming path to citizenship for immigrants.Wanting to put the
discrimination to an end, Stein wants to provide everyone with equal rights and access to health
care. Her platform on Health Care as a Right states, No restrictions based on pre existing illness,
employment, immigration status, age, or any other category. Donald Trump wants to kick people
out of America thinking that is how America becomes better again, but he is wrong. Jill Stein
wants to halt deportations, including the shameful practice of night raids being used to terrorize
refugee families. People come to the United States to seek help. So why should we refuse them
entry or kick them out if they re already

The Problem Of Poverty On A Macro Level
Introduction
Individuals struggling to keep adequate shelter. Some may face challenges of seeking medical
attention. Others have no access to jobs or schools. Some parents fail daily in providing food and
water for their children. These are just a few sentences that describe poverty. If we closed our eyes
and envisioned poverty, we think of children in the second largest continent, Africa, standing
around with no clothes or shoes on. We think of the kids looking mal nutritious or with other
sicknesses and flies flying around their faces but they are too weak to brush them away. We think
of people with no education, no skills, or no ideas. These statements are far from facts. I will take
you through the ongoing issue of poverty from a macro level and show you how it can affect case
management. Then I will take you through the case management process of trying to end poverty.
Poverty on a Macro Level
Poverty on a macro level seems to be an ongoing issue that continues to catch the attention of the
richer countries, celebrities, charity organizations and other organizations. When we see the images
of people living in unlivable conditions or a catastrophe hits, empathy and sympathy automatically
kicks in. By having compassion, we as tax payers begin to send money to government donors.
Some of the money will be disbursed to charity organizations and non government organizations to
provide aid to a nation. The money then should go into completing projects such as building

Alice has a main objective in this novel; she must move eight squares in order to become a queen. In Lewis Carroll s, Through the Looking Glass, Carroll adds a certain pizazz that most people wonder where it comes from. How does he come up with certain characters? How does he think of something so different like the Jabberwocky poem? Many things contribute to Carroll s writing: struggling with sleep deprivation, dealing with dual personalities, having an education, growing up with several siblings, and handling abnormal eating habits. Sleep deprivation has been known to cause hallucinations and the inability to retain information. Carroll suffered from sleep deprivation and the side effects of it. Between 1835 and 1877, there was another Civil War occurring within the United States. The other Civil War involved pitting the rich against the poor. One of the most important assertions Zinn makes involves these struggles: In these books, given to millions of young Americans, there is little on class struggle in the nineteenth century. They demanded higher wages and a ten hour workday. The Lowell Girls Movement was stressed in this chapter, as Zinn really illustrated the plight of the Lowell girls. The Lowell system was controlled by rules and regulations, and young girls would work in the mills and live in dormitories that were prisonlike. They had extreme work hours, waking up at four in the morning and working until seven thirty at night, and they were fed scraps. Women began protesting and organized a Factory Girls Association, which ended up going on strike. They held out for about a month, but they ultimately ran out of money and were forced to return to work. The last big movement was the Great Railroad Strike of 1877. It began with lower wages ($1.75 a day for brakemen working 12 hours), deaths and injuries among workers (loss of limbs and the crushing of men between cars), and scheming by the railroad companies. Strikes broke out at the Baltimore Ohio station, Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania Railroad, Harrisburg, St. Louis, and had even made the news in Europe. The underpinning philosophical basis for the methodological approaches the research adopts. By definition, an underpinning philosophy means the foundation beliefs/the system on which the research is based around. In the case of Joe Geraci s research, his main methods of data collection were those of observation and conversation. In research, observations can either be overt or disclosed (that is, the participants know they are being studied) or covert/undisclosed (where the true identity of the researcher is kept secret from the group, a deception) In general, observations are in fact a relatively cheap method of data collection to carry out, and the researcher needs few resources. However, what they are is very time consuming for the researcher. In 1995, Bassey said that the main purpose of research is to create new knowledge and understanding for us, to help us know something we did not previously know (Bassey, M 1995), which is what Geraci as a researcher is hoping to achieve here by experiencing his subjects behavior first hand in ... • 22. The Government Effect On Protests Demonstrations Protests The Government Effect On The Protests Protests have numerous factors that affect the result of the protest and one major element is the government. In the 1960 s some protests were brutal due to discrimination; yet, the largest protest achieved to maintain a safe environment because the government respected and allowed the protests. The March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom in 1963 peacefully gathered approximately 250,000 citizens together to protest the high level of black unemployment, minimal wages African Americans received for jobs, poor job mobility, and continuous racial segregation. In contrast, The Gezi Park Protests in Turkey, Taksim in 2013 got out of control due to the government response to the initial 50 environmentalists who opposed to cutting the trees and building a shopping mall instead. The government used police force brutally against the activists and as a result, approximately 3.5 million protesters right to freely voice their dissatisfaction and use the media was constrained. So, even though today, overall technology and cities have improved excessively, Turkey is still facing an immense pressure and constraint from the government during protests compare to the protests fifty years ago in Washington D.C. • 23. The Theory of Knowledge Theory of Knowledge 5. The historian s task is to understand the past; the human scientist by contrast, is looking to change the future. To what extent is this true in these areas of knowledge? Life is too short for any individual to make every mistake. We use history to learn where we come from and what caused events of the past to occur. It is important for us to have a strong and in depth understanding of what caused events such as the Renaissance all the way up to World War Two. Creating this strong in depth understanding of the past helps form a guide to make our future better. Human Science seeks the functionality of the human mind in order to reason why people act the way they do. These scientists find ways the mind works in order to avoid or coup with undesirable traits of our psyche. Both History and Human Science, even though completely different fields, use reason and emotion to gain knowledge of their areas of study. This leads us to the question To what extent is the knowledge acquired by an Historian more or less reliable than the knowledge gained through reason and emotion in the sciences? . Historians attempt to identify what incidents and what kind of people changed the course of human history. Inquiring what caused those incidents to occur? What made people act like the way they did and why? Their studies observe both pleasant and cruel things of the past. Methods Of Using Data Relationships And Computer Models Analytics is the process of using data relationships and computer models to drive business value, improve decision making and understand human relationships. If the Information Age began in the 1990s with the rise of digital technology, then we ve now officially entered the Age of Big Data, wherein companies like Google, Facebook, IBM, Teradata, Oracle, and SAS have the capacity to gather a lifetime s worth of data about customers and their behavior. But that data is just an incomprehensible pile of numbers until a skilled analyst turns those numbers into meaningful information, useful for making intelligent business decisions. Today, companies are searching for experts in data analytics who have high formed business and technology backgrounds, and who understand the importance of the latest data and Information Age trends. This requires more than simple data analysis. Prescriptive analytics focuses on trends using simulation and optimization, while predictive analytics uses statistical tools to predict the future, and descriptive analytics is concerned with enabling smart decisions based on data. Data miners and data analytics experts who are versatile in all three areas of analytics can help corporate executives translate their data into intelligent information, which provides companies a competitive advantage and increases their bottom lines. Increasing access to education is another key strategy because educated women are less likely to allow their daughters to be cut. This is certainly a wonderful idea as women can relate to other women about their experiences however, i don t think this is the best conceivable thought out there because teaching the girls out there in Somalia would not help as much because they do not have a word to say when it comes to these matters. • 28. Gender Stereotypes In The Rocky Horror Picture Show The Rocky Horror Picture Show is not so much a movie as more of a long running social phenomenon (Ebert). The interpretation of the film, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which was produced in 1975, opens the curtains to the cross on top of a church after being introduced to the characters by the huge, bright red lips. Promptly after the introduction the camera moves in a sensational gesture towards a just married couple that is walking to the front of the church with their wedding guests, carrying the traditional wedding ceremony of throwing the newly brides bouquet. The visual that is taken in this scene seems to be vital to the aspect behind the film, as it is showing how dull a wedding that carries the same tradition can be, especially since it is being related to the following scene at the castle of Dr. Frank n Furter. With the proximity of the heterosexual traditions and the events at the mansion, it is obvious this film is meant to draw into question the common genderstereotypes along with sexuality. The Rocky Horror Picture Show validates that gender roles and stereotypes are socially constructed and that there should not be any social stigma attached to personalities that cannot easily be identified as a male or female by using irony, the use of social practice, and more specifically through Dr. Fran n Furter s character. Revelation 5:1 2 (New King James Version) During an African American history class, the book, Follow the Drinking Gourd, by Francis Gaither (1940), referenced imagery and symbolism of the American slaves who sought freedom using the Underground Railroad as the link from south to north. Puerto City Market History Ponce City Market is a new development including retail, residential and commercial space that repurposes the historic Sears Roebuck and Company building in the Old Fourth Ward district of Atlanta. The site has been in public use at least back to the 1860 s when it was a popular day trip for Atlantans who wished to visit Ponce de Leon Springs for their reputed health benefits. The springs on the site were named by Atlanta physician, Dr. Henry L. Over time additional attractions were built at the site to capitalize on the popularity of the springs and in 1903 the construction of a true amusement park was begun.
