LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

2. The Taiping Rebellion And The French Revolution
Throughout history, rebellions and revolutions shaped societies and created better conditions for
the people of those societies. The Taiping Rebellion and the French Revolution successfully shaped
their societies by means of political and social reforms. They were both influenced to later achieve
their unique successes because of a multitude of pushing factors, such as the existing social and
political conditions of Chinaand France. Natural disasters, breaking away from tradition, and China
s loss in the Opium War contributed to the ideology of the Taiping Rebellion; to restore China to its
previous greatness and overthrowing the government. Likewise in France the conditions were not
any better. Hunger and poverty were rampant in the cities of France. Bankruptcy and a corrupt
government only made things worst. These conditions set the foundation for the ideology of the
French Revolution; acquiring liberty, equality, and fraternity. Together, each of these societies found
their successes in different ways. France created major changes in the government and legal system
which were more immediate and apparent than in China, where they achieved successes that took
longer to become apparent, and is viewed as more effective in a long term point of view. Previous
political conditions played major roles, as it fueled the need for change within these communities.

3. Exercise For Today s Youth
Daily exercise for today s youth will benefit them in the long term
I believe that physical fitness is very important regarding the overall health of adolescents.
Throughout the growing years of teens, our bodies are always changing and with these changes
which are both emotional well as physical, our bodies require more and more activity, allowing the
body to burn energy along with extra calories.
Although many people may feel that concerns relating to physical fitness in adolescents should be
the absolute responsibility of parents, I personally believe that our educational system can also
play a very important role in ensuring that teens are getting a reasonable amount of physical
activity within the course of the school day. As an adolescent, I personally enjoy being involved in
sports which is inclusive of physical activity. The teenage years are important in terms of both
mental and physical development, and staying fit during adolescence can have benefits that are both
physical and psychological. Good or poor fitness habits that a teenager develops during his or her
adolescence are likely to last a lifetime, and studies have shown that exercise can be beneficial to a
teen s overall health while also promoting a positive body image.

4. Search for Innocence in American Modernism Essay
Search for Innocence in American Modernism
American Literature from its very beginning has been centered around a theme of innocence. The
Puritans wrote about abandoning the corruption of Europe to find innocence in a new world. The
Romantics saw innocence and power in nature and often wrote of escaping from civilization to
return to nature. After the Civil War, however, the innocenceof the nation is challenged. The
Realists focused on the loss of innocence and in Naturalist works innocence is mostly gone.
During these periods of American Literature it seems almost as if a hole was being dug, a sort of
emptying of innocence, and after World War I the Modernists called this hole the wastelandMany
Modernist works focus on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Secondly, a return to innocence is almost like a return to virtue. The example of this that comes
most readily to mind is the complete turn around of Jean Valjean in Victor Hugo s Les Miserables.
It is remembering that the world really can be a place filled with beauty and wonder, virtue and
meaning, and then acting so as to belong to that world, rather than the world of the wasteland.
What does it mean to belong to the world of the wasteland?
Son of man,
You cannot say, or guess, for you know only
A heap of broken images, where the sun beats
And the dead tree gives no shelter, the cricket no relief,
And the dry stone no sound of water. (Eliot, 1448)
Son of man refers to Ezekiel II, I where God directs Ezekiel to stand. The inhabitants of the
wasteland are fallen and unenlightened, their personalities and world fragmented. There is no love
in the wasteland, only alienation. The couple in Hills Like White Elephants find themselves unable
to communicate, as is shown by their meaningless and shallow conversations and their inability to
understand one another when they do say anything meaningful. This lack of communication is also
displayed in the following lines of The Wasteland:
My nerves are bad to night. Yes, bad. Stay with me.
Speak to me. Why do you never speak. Speak.
What are you thinking of? What thinking? What?
I never know what you are
6. Kidney And Corne Aquaporin Analysis
Aquaporin: Structure and Role in Kidney and Cornea
The isolation of aquaporin helped many scientists to determine the nature of aquaporin as a water
channel protein and work out how water transport occurs across membrane.
Structure of Aquaporin
Aquaporin consists of a tetramer (Verkman et al, 2014) and each monomer has a single aqueous
pore that allows water transportation and prevents proton transfer (Agre et al, 2002). There is an
extracellular and cytoplasmic vestibule in each monomer which connects to a central amphipatic
pore region that has a hydrophilic (О± carbonyl groups) and hydrophobic surface that helps
preventing permeation of larger molecules (Verkman et at, 2014). There are six membrane domains
in each aquaporin that then form ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The cornea is part of the ocular surface system and is of vital importance to maintain its slightly
dehydrated state (Gipson, 2007). The cornea consists of layered structures as shown in Figure 3.
Corneal epithelium consists of three layers of superficial, wing and basal cells and is the main
refractive site of the eye and is constantly bathed by water (tears) secreted from lacrimal glands

in the stroma is important in maintaining the transparency of the cornea (ibid). The endothelium
layer is immersed in an aqueous humor and gives access to fluid and nutrients for the cornea (ibid).
Changes in the corneal water volume will change the length and spacing of stromal collagen fibrils
which later affects the transparency of the cornea (ibid). Both AQP5 and AQP1 are the major
channels for water transport across the corneal epithelium and endothelium (ibid). AQP5 is
responsible for water transport across the corneal epithelium onto the ocular surface due to the high
osmotic pressure of the tear film (ibid). AQP1 facilitates water transport across the corneal
endothelium and together with epithelial AQP5, maintains the slightly dehydrated and transparent
stromal layer of the eye

7. Midsummer Night Dream Analysis
A Midsummer s Night Dream
William Shakespeare is a successful playwright as he uses the style of history, tragedy and comedy
which is an entertaining aspect that is in all his plays.
One of his plays, A midsummer s night dream , includes the themes of love and magic, where love
is represented as a force that makes people act in irrational ways to entertain the audience in a
comical and dramatic way. He used different techniques throughout the play to create a tumultuous
and intriguing factor. The storyline of the play follows various couples such as Hermia and
Lysander and Oberon and Titania. These couples show examples of irrational behaviours with love
and magic throughout the play.
Hermia and Lysander behave irrationally throughout the whole play because they re head over
heels for each other; however, their love is oppressed by both her father Egeus and the strict
Athenian law. In Act 1, Scene 1 when Egeus is at court with Hermia he uses a demanding and
dominating tone to state, as she is mine i may dispose of her This causes them to act
spontaneously and irrationally and as a consequence, they run away from Athens to get married.
This entertains the audience by adding more conflict and complication to the story. After they
elope to the forest, magic becomes the force that turns love to a dramatic and conflict filled
experience that is also entertaining. Lysander acts in irrational ways when he is put under the
spell of Love in Idleness where he states how madly he loves on Helena, and how much he hates
Hermia. Hang off, thou cat, thou burr! Vile thing, let loose, / or I will shake thee from me like a
serpent. Derogatory language and repetition is used to emphasise his hate toward Hermia and
orders her to leave him alone. For example, in Act 3, Scene 2, Lysander has fallen in love with
Helena and tells Hermia how he hates her. Out, loathed medicine! O hated potion, hence! Conflict
between characters create comedy in the play which entertains the audience because of the dramatic
irony. Lysander s insults in the statement are repetition as it is the same meaning but in different
words. This language technique emphasises that Lysander wants Hermia to leave him alone.

12. Jane Eyre Eliza And Georgiana Comparison
In the early nineteenth century, privileged women in England had much more freedom than
women of a lower class who were unable to afford help with children or household chores and
were confined to the home. However, upper class women were still limited to the roles of a
reserved, sedulous woman or a superficial socialite, portrayed in Jane Eyre as Eliza and
Georgiana Reed. The contrasting personalities of the sisters represent two typical lives of upper
class women during this time, and while both Eliza and Georgiana face the same challenges, their
vast differences distort their perception of the events, creating opposing experiences during the time
of their mother s death and their separate lives following. As children being raised in a wealthy,...

How the challenges are perceived by each of the women and their reactions show how women in
the same situation have fundamentally different experiences. Eliza remained unemotional while
facing the death of her mother. Eliza surveyed her parent calmly. After a silence of some minutes
she observed With her constitution she should have lived to a good old age: her life was
shortened by trouble. And then a spasm constricted her mouth for an instant: as it passed away
she turned and left the room, and so did I. Neither of us had dropt a tear. She then spent a week
locked in her room preparing for her journey to France, speaking to no one who came to offer
condolences. While in France, she hoped to detach herself further from the world. In the weeks
leading up to Mrs. Reed s death, Georgiana never mentioned her mother s illness when incessantly
speaking to Jane. This was her own way of also detaching herself. However, when her mother s
time came and Georgiana was shown the corpse she, had burst out in loud weeping. After, she

14. Zoos On Animals And Zoos
Zoos have provided shelter for endangered animals for hundreds of years. Zoos have supported
and aided the twenty one percent of mammals, twelve percent of the bird species, and thirty one
percent of all amphibian to adapt to a new habitat, stated the website The Amphibian Extinction
Crisis. A golden hawk was rescued, it was shot down and its shoulder got dislocated on the fall

whether zoos help or if they are just torturing wildlife. Even though people say that zoos aren t

People say that animals are being mistreated in zoos. Later that month, a family of four lions was
killed because, The zoo had to put down the old lions and their young offspring because of the
natural structure and behavior of the lion pride, the Copenhagen Zoo said in a prepared statement.
They murdered a family of innocent lions and they claimed it was due to the the fact that they
were going to bring a new lion and that lion would kill the lion family. How are we saving
endangered animals if zoos are murdering them? We might as well leave them in the wild, at
least they will die in peace. The Copenhagen Zoo could have sent them to a new facility. Why
would zoos reject the chance to save a new life? The cubs would have adjusted to the new alpha
male. Actually why not reject the new lion? Why take more than you can handle if you re going
to murder them? Zoos are meant to be homes and a sanctuary for animals. But is that really the
case, according to the article Ten Facts about Zoos it states, A CAPS study found that at least
7,500 animals and possibly as many as 200,000 animals in zoos are surplus at any one time. So
what that means that they execute any animals that have overpopulated. If zoos are over
populated then why not set the animals free. The point of a zoo is to keep endangered animals
safe from predators how can we do that if we are another reason why they are dying. Setting them

H. G. Wells novella The Time Machine is a story about the price for a life of luxury. Through his
writing, he warns society of what could happen if they continued the path they were on. Arriving in
the future, thanks to the time machine that Wells created, readers observe a world where society
has split into two species. In Victorian England, there was a fear residing in the upper classthat the
working class would engage in an uprising and throw them from power. This brought the desire
for security, which is what the Eloi hold in the year 802,701. Degeneration occurs when people

These include poor air and water quality and the cramped conditions of working class areas of
cities; poor diet; and the use of narcotics such as alcohol, tobacco, or opium (Vorachek 200).
Wells used these environmental factors when creating the living space of the Morlocks. They
lived underground in dark tunnels which the Time Traveller described as very stuffy and
oppressive, and the faint halitus of freshly shed blood was in the air (Wells 54). The cannibalism
of the Morlocks also played on another fear of society in the fin de siГЁcle. Since there was a
fear of the working class causing the degeneration of society, the cannibalistic activities can be seen
as representing the imminent proletarian revolution feared by some following the growth of
militant trade unionism and working class political organisation (Partington 59). The Time
Traveller addressed this fear and how the upper class seemed to have combated it. He stated The
too perfect security of the Upperworlders had led them to a slow movement of degeneration, to a
general dwindling in size, strength and intelligence (Wells 49). The Eloi became comfortable in
their security that they no longer needed to defend themselves; consequently, leading them to being

Thirsting for Power

Power is defined the ability to do something or act in a particular way, especially as a faculty or

content with not having any power whatsoever and then there are people whose entire lives
revolve around that thirst and need for power. The latter is a description of two famous people in

However, much of the conquest was an act of aggression prompted by personal ambition (not unlike
the conquests of Alexander the Great). Fighting in the summers, he would return to Cisalpine Gaul
(northern Italy) in the winters and manipulate Roman politics through his supporters, (Kebric).
After this and many more complex events and elections Caesar would continue to plunder
neighboring territories and occupy them. This is how the rise of the Roman Empire, the strongest
and longest lasting empire began. Caesar would publicly deny his want to be idolized as a King
but acted in ways that suggested he wanted to be idolized more of a God than a Monarch. It was
this attitude and his thirst for more power, more territory that would lead his enemies to assassinate
him in 44 BC.
Caesar attended the last meeting of the Senate before his departure, held at its temporary quarters in

The question of unusual and cruel punishment is one that is undeniably at the forefront of the
debate relating to the death penalty and whether or not, as well as how, it should be administered.
Unusual and cruel punishment is prohibited under U.S, Const. Amend. VIII. As such, in the
administration of the death penalty, there must be no element of cruelty or unusual punishment.
The three drug sequence used today in lethal injections was developed almost three decades ago and
then, over the following two decades, was adopted by all but one of the death penalty states. The
first drug, sodium thiopental, is a fast acting sedative that induces a deep, coma like
unconsciousness. The second drug, pancuronium bromide, is a paralytic agent that inhibits all
muscular skeletal movements and stops respiration. Potassium chloride, the third drug, interferes
with the electrical signals that cause contractions of the heart, inducing cardiac arrest [1.]. The
argument for unusual and cruel punishment in the context of execution by lethal injection is that
the person suffers pain in the process of being killed. This stems, for example, from the fact that an

Cry, the Beloved Country is a novel written by Alan Paton; the novel is filled with biblical
allusions referring to II Samuel. Cry, the Beloved Country was first published in 1948 and
stands as the single most important novel in twentieth century South African literature. Cry, the
Beloved Country; a work of blazing artistry, is the intensely moving story of the Zulu pastor
Stephen Kumalo and his son Absalom, and how they were set against the background of a land
and a people divided by racial injustice. Cry, the Beloved Country is a classic work of love and
hope, courage and endurance, born of the dignity of man. The author, Alan Paton parallels II
Samuel and Cry, the Beloved Country which heightens the understanding of the novel. In the
paralleled biblical story Absalom is described as handsome, therefore not a single blemish
appears on his skin; he wears his hair short and altogether it weighs more than two pounds.
Tamar, who is the parallel of Gertrude is described as very attractive and she wears a long sleeved
gown; as often worn by virgin princesses. Now Absalom, Davids son, had a beautiful sister, whose
name was Tamar. ( 2 Samuel 13 N.P.) Nevertheless, their attractiveness does not impede their

Abstract
Agriculture is a key component and driver of our economy as well as the main food source for US
citizens. The US serves as one of the largest exporters of food supplies to nations around the globe.
(1) A significant disruption in our exports would have ripple effects within the US and throughout
the global health system. The potential impacts of an Agroterrorism attack would be devastating to
public health, both nationally and on the global front could be significant. (2)

agriculture and food production provide significant vulnerabilities to terrorist attack both in our

Money also caused for the reform of campaign finance. Money does facilitate communication of

32. Symbolism In Good County People By Flannery OConner
Flannery O Conner, the author of Good County People, looks at the perceptional ways that
others identify themselves in this story. The title of this story draws from Mrs. Hopewell. This
character sees people in general, including her hardworking employees, as either good county
people or trash. Mrs. Hopewell views herself at a much higher social hierarchy status than the
others. There are several symbolisms in this tale as Flannery has the reader engaged and
perplexed. The smooth talking character Manley Pointer, a supreme con artist and fake Bible
Salesman, uses his clever witty words to put Mrs. Hopewell at ease and earn her trust. Mrs.
Hopewell is naГЇve, yet a true optimist of her impression and interpretation of good county people.
She would be enchanted and deceived by his words, letting her guard down allowing herself and
daughter to placing them in an uncompromising situation, only to be good county people, deceived
by the trashy Manley Pointer. The Mother Mrs. Hopewell, and daughter Joy, have very similar
views of themselves and others. They have extremely narrow views in a way that blinds their
overall perception when meeting other people. Joy has a sever image complex and it is truly
exasperated due to her overall health concerns. Joy and her Mother appear to have a dreadful
relationship. The name Joy means rejoicing. Sadly, Joy would legally change her name to the
harsh, ugly name of Hulga. Hulga felt her name change would be interpreted, as the Ugly sweating
Vulcan that stayed in the furnace and to whom, presumable the goddesshad to come when called.
She saw it as the name of her highest creation act (271). It appears Hulga was comparing herself to
Hephaestus, The Roman god, who is the God of Fire, was ugly and extremely undesirable
physically. With her new name recreation, she would think of herself as beautiful. Similar to
Aphrodite the goddess of beauty, as Aphrodite was also the wife to the ugly Roman god
Hephaestus. One of Hulga s major triumphs was that her Mother was not able to turn her dust into
Joy, but the greater one was that Joy had been able to turn herself into Hulga (271). Hulga wants a

However, I will maintain that the Washington Consensus is the combination of neoliberal policy
preferences, which essentially is the harnessing the power of markets which was implemented by
international financial institutions during the 1980s and 1990s (Birdsall 2010 pp.6 ). Additionally,
to measure the success of the consensus it is proper to measure the economic growth and the poverty
rates in the region of Latin America because this is the same region Williamson first noticed the
Washington Consensus. In short, while the Washington Consensus may not be used in the same
manner as Williamson intended it to be, the Consensus has failed to help developing economies
grow measured by GDP growth and hasn t reduced poverty. It is safe to say there is no longer a
consensus among development policies; however, certain policy preferences and the end goal
integration in the global economy will still be found in the next consensus regarding economic
development (Nankani 2005 pp. xii). Additionally, from a theoretical level, the Consensus has failed
to recognize the diverse problems of each nation state, and various other factors such as the lack of
institution building.

It is very important in selecting the right kind of statistical, presentation, and analytical methods to
determine the relationships between land use land cover and water quality parameters. This is very
important because of the issues associated with spatial autocorrelation and non independence of
sampling site that often accompany research into water quality and land use.
Literally, autocorrelation is where a variable is said to be correlated with itself and it states that
pairs of subjects that are close to each other are more likely to have values that are more similar,
and pairs of subjects far apart from each other are more likely to have values that are less similar.
The spatial structure of the data in autocorrelation refers to any patterns that may exist in this
nearness or distant relationships. When data are spatially autocorrelated, it is possible to predict the
value at one location based on the value sampled from a nearby location using interpolation
methods. When autocorrelation does not exist, then the data is said to be independent.
Because of the qualitative nature of water quality analysis, there are a lot variety of statistical
analyses that can be performed on water quality data for reporting and interpretation purposes.
Though most of this statistics can be said to be intense, many inferences can be made from simple
descriptive statistics such as mean, minimum, maximum, median, range, and standard

36. Honey Bees Research Paper
Importance of Bees in Agriculture
Definition:
Honey bees are flying insects that are distinguished by their capacity to produce and store honey.
Bees live off of nectar and pollen. They fly approximately a few tenths of a mile to gather nectar.
Without bees, pollination would be difficult and time consuming. One third of world s crops are
dependant for bee pollination.
Introduction:
Honey bees are some of the hardest working creatures on this planet, and although we owe many
thanks to them, they are often highly unappreciated. There are around 25,000 different types of bee
species worldwide. These are then divided into 4,000 genera which is then subdivided into just 9
families. The most known is the Apidae family, which include family members... Show more

No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man , and he s
right. Honeybees have been dying at an uncommon rate. The 3 major factors that have been
contributing to their death are : CCD, pests and fear. CCD is the Colony Collapse Disorder
which kills the worker bees that don t come back to their hive after they have left to find food.
Pests and external parasite have been accidentally exported to the U.S and rapidly spreading
through beehives. The most common concern about honey bees is a bee sting but honey bees
aren t aggressive by nature. As a matter of fact honey bees are unlikely to sting. Reactions
caused from the sting of a bee is 1 in 5 million chances. Chance that you will be hit by a car is
59.3% higher. A world without honeybees can have a huge impact on our planet considering
that bees pollinate about one sixth of the flowering plant species worldwide and more than 400
agricultural types of plants. Honeybees can collect up to 4 to 5 pounds of nectar in just one day.
4 pounds of nectar is the same as 1 pound of honey. 8 pounds of nectar is also the same as 1
pound of beeswax. 1 pound of honey is the equivalent of a honeybee visiting two million flowers
and flying 55,000 miles. Honeybees need healthy crops as much as healthy crops need bees. The
involvement of honeybees is essential in the growth of crops for farmers. Honeybees are so
important that farmers have bee hives transported to their farms so the honeybees can pollinate
their crops. The honeybee is the only insect that produces food that can be consumed by man. The
pollinating service that these wonderful creatures provide us with have helped produce
approximately $19 billion worth of agricultural crops, just bees alone. On the other hand, animals
such as bats and hummingbirds, and insects such as moths, butterflies and beetles, have

37. Speech On The Moon Landing
In history, one of the greatest achievement known to mankind is the Apollo 11 moon landing. On
July 20, 1969, the spaceflight known as the lunar module Eagle, landed the first three humans on
the moon (NASA). The first human to step, and leave a footprint on the moon was mission
commander, Neil Armstrong. Climbing down the ladder, the words that he said are still
reminisced to this day, That s one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind (NASA). The
other two who were also part of this accomplishment was the pilot, Edwin Buzz Aldrin, and
Michael Collins.
Before this historic triumph, almost a decade before it occurred, the 35th president of the Unites
States, John F. Kennedy, on May 25, 1961, he proposed to the world the ambitious goal to put a
man on the moon before the decade if out (Logsdon 37). John F. Kennedy truly believed that it
was only a matter of time for them to make it possible since their technology was already too
advanced. There has been so much more that humans have been capable of and landing on the
moon sure was going to be one of them. As technology advances, humans are capable of so much
more, such as discovering nuclear power, the invention of the television, satellites, and computers.
These have proven that the intellectual knowledge in humans keeps expanding every single day,
making it possible to make more discoveries and accomplishments. John F. Kennedy was not able
to witness such success because two years later, after his speech, he

38. The Global Circulation Of Traumatic Narrative In Ho
Introduction Ceremony was written by Leslie Marmon Silko, first published in 1977. Tayo, the
protagonist in the novel, experienced his own identity crisis his entire life just like every
teenager does nowadays. Tayo goes on a hero s journey to find a cure for his PTSD from the
war. The protagonist was raised by his Aunt and Uncle, Josiah. He fought in World War II with
his cousin Rocky in the humid forest of the Philippines, there he was convinced that his uncle was
shot and killed. In the Philippines there was constant rain and floods, Tayo prayed for the rain to
stop; when he arrived home after his six year deployment he found that there has been a drought on
his reserve. This starts his journey for healing, Tayo believes that he is to blame... Show more

She argues that the trauma in the novel is a way to break barriers and force privileged readers to
understand others. She says that the representation of trauma in the novel makes readers see the
effects of imperialism rather than focusing on politics, making it a personal problem not a
political one. The novel depicts this trauma in a relevant light for global readers. I agree with
her, this is not a single incident and the book does an amazing job to show privileged people that
trauma is everywhere, not just in the past. Literature is sometimes used as a vehicle to tell
stories that other people can t experience or haven t. Silko uses her story to show the world other
people s suffering, probably a suffering they have indirectly helped. When Americans think of
Native American suffering it is thought of a thing of the past, something we have already fixed;
but if we look at the Dakota Access Pipeline, oppression is still shown there. Silko took her chance
to force people to sympathize with Tayo and hopefully reflect on all the oppression that is still
happening in the world

40. Ride Along 2 Analysis
After four weeks of dominance, The Force was officially been subdued and dethroned by the
new comedy sequel, Ride Along 2. With a significant debut of $34 million, the comedy duo of
Kevin Hart Ice Cube strikes again just as they did with their predecessor nearly two years ago to
the day. Unfortunately, not everything about Ride Along 2 s victory is good news as the new
film failed to surpass the opening establish by 2014 s Ride Along ($41.5 million). Of course poor
reviews didn t help the comedy s cause, either as it currently maintains a wretched score of 14%
at RottenTomatoes. Regardless, Ride Along 2 is far from a bust after being produced on $40
million. Holding strong in the second position is the new Golden Globe winner for Best Drama,
The Revenant which grabbed a healthy $29.5 million. The film, starring Leonardo DiCaprio,
gave Star Wars a run for its money last weekend, through coming up just short. However, with a
slew of Golden Globe wins last weekend, The Revenant picked up steam and should continue to
remain relevant as we move closer to he Oscars in February. To date, The Revenant has grossed
$111.4 million, worldwide ($87.6 million, domestically), and was produced on $135 million....

Courtroom Work Group
There are many parts of the courtroom and the process of convicting a criminal. The courtroom
work group has a major role in convicting and finalizing a case. In the courtroom work group,
there are three groups of people that hold the entire courtroom together. Without the work group,
the courtroom would not flow, and coming to a conclusion to the case would not be as easy. The
work group is made up of the Judge, the Defense Counsel and the Prosecution. They work together
to reach a result, in the case by staying in contact on a daily basis. There are many roles in the

used the transcripts for certain court cases as examples. Then the courts handle the courts pleas,

the courts, they ensure that all parties are being respected and that no law is being abused by either

The Role of the Prosecution
The role of the prosecutor boils down to three main goals. The prosecutor is responsible for
investigating the crime committed, decide whether or not to proceed with legal proceeding, and
finally, if legal proceedings are instigated to appear in court.
The prosecutor has more contact with everyone involved with the crime than maybe anyone else.
He or she has contact with the person suspected of the crime, the victim, witnesses, and also works
alongside the police to investigate and ensure the correct person is held accountable.
Once all the evidence is gathered up, he or she will decide whether or not to legally pursue

43. Emily Dickinson’s Because I Could Not Stop For Death Essay
Emily Dickinson s Because I could not stop for Death is a remarkable masterpiece that exercises
thought between the known and the unknown. Critics call Emily Dickinson s poem a masterpiece
with strange haunting power.
In Dickinson s poem, Because I could not stop for Death, there is much impression in the tone, in
symbols, and in the use of imagery that exudes creativity. One might undoubtedly agree to an
eerie, haunting, if not frightening, tone in Dickinson s poem. Dickinson uses controlling
adjectives slowly and passed to create a tone that seems rather placid. For example, We slowly
drove He knew no haste / ...We passed the School ... / We passed the Setting Sun, sets a slow, quiet,
calm, and dreamy atmosphere (5, 9, 11, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition to these three stages, the final stage of eternity was symbolized in the last two lines of
the poem, the Horses Heads (23), leading towards Eternity (24). Dickinson fathomed the
incomprehensible progression of life by unraveling its complexity with figurative symbols. Emily
Dickinson dresses the scene such that mental pictures of sight, feeling, and sound come to life. The
imagery begins the moment Dickinson invites Her reader into the Carriage. Death slowly takes the
readers on a sight seeing trip where they see the stages of life. The first site We passed was the
School, where Children strove (9). Because it deals with an important symbol, the Ring this first
scene is perhaps the most important. One author noted that the children, at recess, do not play (as
one would expect them to) but strive (Monteiro 20).
In addition, at recess, the children performed a venerable ritual, perhaps known to all, in a ring.
This ritual is called Ring a ring a roses, and is recited: Ring a ring a roses, A pocket full of
posies; Hush! hush! hush! hush! We re all tumbled down. (qtd. in Greenaway 365) Monteiro made
the discovery and concluded that For indeed, imbedded in their ritualistic game is a reminder of the
mortal stakes that the poet talks about elsewhere (21). On this invited journey, one vividly sees the

V.KNOWLEDGE BASED DETECTION TECHNIQUE Knowledge based detection Technique
can be used for both signature based IDS as well as anomaly based IDS. It accumulates the
knowledge about specific attacks and system vulnerabilities. It uses this knowledge to exploit the
attacks and vulnerabilities to generate the alarm. Any other event that is not recognized as an
attack is accepted. Therefore the accuracy of knowledge based intrusion detection systems is
considered good. However their completeness requires that their knowledge of attacks be updated
regularly [29]. Advantages of Knowledge based detection Technique: 1.The accuracy of this
technique is good. 2.It has a very low false alarm rates. 3.It is robust, flexible and scalable. [13]

The semantic description of the attacks is transformed into information that can be found in the
audit trail in a straightforward way This method decreases the semantic level of the attacks
description. This technique allows a very efficient implementation and is therefore applied in
various commercial intrusion detection products e.g. Haystack [37].The main disadvantage of this
technique is that like all knowledge based approaches there is the need for frequent updates to keep
up with the stream of new vulnerabilities discovered. d.Petri Nets To represent signatures of
intrusions, IDIOT [38], a knowledge based intrusion detection system developed at Purdue
University, uses Colored Petri Nets (CPN). The advantages of CPNs are their generality, their
conceptual simplicity, and their graphical representability. System administrators are assisted in
writing their own signatures of attacks and integrating them in IDIOT. Owing to the generality of
CPNs, quite complex signatures can be written easily. However, matching a complex signature
against the audit trail may become computationally very expensive

became infected, and he had to squeeze the puss from it.
Another game instance is he would be timed when it came to doing his chores, if not done quick
enough (faster than an adult human could wash and dry the dishes) he would be subject to
more, and more severe punishment. And even if he did accomplish his tasks in a reasonable
amount of time, his only reward was to eat the left over food thrown in the garbage. Emotionally,
she never referred to David as her son. She always knew Dave as the boy or It . As his father

They just both handled their addiction in different ways. His father was passive, but still loved his
son; his mother became violent and took her frustration and madness out on Dave. Not that alcohol
is an excuse, but it was the key to the ignition of that family s child abuse problem. Alcohol in this

analyzed bones from thirty four bodies. Sixteen of these bones showed little to no bacterial

ancient Egypt and South America s Andes preserved ancient mummies there. Such arid and dry
environments would have deprived gut microbes of the moisture they would have needed to survive

only way to have a better life. I think that we have become so a custom to the disadvantages that we

very important and played a big part in the transport and war of each period but in different ways.
Horses were not only used to get people from place to place in Europe there were many different
uses for horses. In medieval Europe there was 3 main types of horses the Destrier, the Palfrey and
the Courser they all had their own purpose and uses. Destrier means war horse so these horses were
used in the wars. They were very expensive and only the rich could afford them. They had a short
neck and a strong back so they could carry the knights around. The Palfrey was a smaller horse
used for everyday riding and especially ridden by women. They were also used for carrying
messages. Well bred mules also could be apart of the Palfreys. These horses were less expensive so
