Idea To Launch And The Role Of Social MediaAli Mirza
The old way of building products and startups does not work anymore. It looked something like this
1 – Idea
2 – Build
3 – Think about marketing
So you run into a big problem. You have a product but no users.
You can’t think of marketing after launching your startup (That’s a plan to fail). Here are the topics covered in these slides
1 – How to build and validate ideas using landing pages & MVPs
2 – How to use social media marketing to build a brand
3 – Marketing starts from day 1 (The day you write your first line of code)
How to Set Up for Product Success by Headspace Product OfficerProduct School
You’ve recently become the "Head of Product" at a growth-stage startup. Firstly, Congratulations! The “Head of Product" role is one of the most coveted and impactful roles at any company. Momentarily, you feel like a super-hero. However, without the optimal moves, you could quickly become the focal point for multiple challenging issues, whether it is speed of execution, results, innovation, or user experience, just to name a few.
This document provides 4 questions to help establish the point of cause when solving problems:
1. What is wrong? Is it dangerous? Does it require containment or immediate action?
2. Is the issue in one place or multiple locations? Is it in a certain step or activity?
3. When does the issue happen? Always? Every time? Intermittently? With what action?
4. Who might know about the issue? Who has information? Who is affected?

This document outlines steps for female engineers to achieve greatness through professional development and leadership. It defines greatness as requiring inner strength and passion. The equation of greatness is that professional development plus leadership equals greatness. The road to professional development involves overcoming fear of failure through small goals, contingency planning, and thinking positively. It also requires overcoming procrastination by recognizing and addressing its causes, and developing skills in one's passions. Advancing as a leader means developing humility, responsibility, discipline, and helping others reach their potential with passion. Achieving level 5 leadership is the pinnacle as a great leader.

This document summarizes a meetup for DC-based product managers. It introduces the organizers and objective to create a local PM community. It then discusses what makes an excellent PM, including empathy, articulating a vision, rallying a team, and iterating. Etiquette tips emphasize respecting others and assuming good intentions. Gaining respect involves removing roadblocks, building relationships, and admitting mistakes. Achieving buy-in requires transparency and involving others in decision making. When disagreeing, save "no's" for what matters and get allies. Creating empathy involves involving engineers and establishing accountability. The document also covers writing good user stories, designs, and bugs.

Introduction of Cybersecurity with OSS at Code Europe 2024Hiroshi SHIBATA
I develop the Ruby programming language, RubyGems, and Bundler, which are package managers for Ruby. Today, I will introduce how to enhance the security of your application using open-source software (OSS) examples from Ruby and RubyGems.
The first topic is CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures). I have published CVEs many times. But what exactly is a CVE? I'll provide a basic understanding of CVEs and explain how to detect and handle vulnerabilities in OSS.
Next, let's discuss package managers. Package managers play a critical role in the OSS ecosystem. I'll explain how to manage library dependencies in your application.
I'll share insights into how the Ruby and RubyGems core team works to keep our ecosystem safe. By the end of this talk, you'll have a better understanding of how to safeguard your code.
