LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.

3. The Island Of Doctor Moreau
Benjamin Rush once stated that freedom can exist only in the society of knowledge. Without
learning, men are incapable of knowing their rights (Rush and Runes N.p). Throughout time,
ethically controversial sciences, from vivisection to stem cell research, have embodied a negative
stereotype in the eyes of western societies, and have consequently withdrew the freedom that
allows scientists to make innovative discoveries. In H.G. Wells novel The Island of Doctor Moreau,
this perspective is portrayed through Edward Prendick, an upper class English gentleman with a
subtle passion for science. After being stranded on a remote pacific island isolated from
civilization, Prendick s perspective on Dr. Moreau s unethical and controversial studies begins to
transform over time. The idea that isolation from civilization can result in the freedom to explore
one s curiosities is portrayed through Prendick s initial unacceptance of Moreau s vivisection,
which, as time on the island elapses, reshapes to one of interest. In The Island of Doctor Moreau,
as Edward Prendick spends more time away from civilized society, his perspective regarding Dr.
Moreau s ethically controversial discipline, vivisection, begins to shift from a sense of repugnance
to one of enthusiasm. Through these perspectives, H.G. Wells argues that Prendick s isolation from
civilization is the principle force allowing him to freely embrace the unethical studies on the island
and explore his natural curiosity for science,

General (USA RET) Colin L. Powell, 18 Lessons in Leadership General Powell highlights 18
lessons learned in leadership that are applied to successful companies, and how they are applied
to leadership in his presentation to the Outreach Program, and the Sears Corporate
Headquarters. These approaches can be applied not only in business but life in general. I will
highlight three of the lessons that have impacted my career in the military Lesson 7 Too often
in business as well as the military, If it ain t broke, don t fix it (Powell, C #7). Too often the
command as well as enlisted soldiers will use this analogy to continue to do what they have
always done and fight change. Also this leads to allowing small details to be overlooked because
it s been allowed before, these small details, such as production schedules become larger details.
These small little details will cause larger details to be overlooked in the future. This culture will
foster reactivity instead of promoting proactivity (Powell, C #7). This type of culture is a
struggle for leaders to change in the National Guard because of the hometown mentality, all
though we strive to keep the since of community in our units as leaders we have to be the
supporters of change. Be able to answer the why when it is necessary to move in a different
direction, we have to be able to always look beneath the surface and not take situations at face

5. Persuasive Essay On Head Start
Head Start Programs:
All Children Deserve the Same Chance at an Education Head Start programs came about in
1964; when President Johnson declared a war on poverty. His idea was you must break the
cycle of poverty to win the war. The program s idea was to help break the cycle of poverty by,
providing the children of low income families the ability to meet the emotional, social, health,
nutrition, and mental needs. The Parents also are offered resources in higher education, paying
utilities, and other needs that are essential to succeed. According to The Basic Head Start Facts
Sheet 2011, Head Start is the nation s first national early education and early childcare program.
Since then over thirty two million children have had assistance with the program; therefore, has
caused an increase of twenty eight percent in High School Graduations (Smith 8). Head Starts main
goal is to lower the achievement gap between lower class and middle class children.
Being born in poverty and the disadvantages Smith states that children who are born into poverty
already have a disadvantage. The journal Why Investments in Early Childhood work, 2011,
shows that these children are twenty five percent more likely to drop out of school, forty percent
more likely to become a teen parent, and seventy percent more likely to commit a violent crime in
their life. Therefore, the cycle needs to end. We need to educate ourselves so our children can
succeed, and live a better life than we had. Abbott Shim

6. Oppression By Marilyn Frye Summary
In Oppression, Marilyn Frye uses a birdcage as a metaphor to describe the invisible and visible
effects that oppression can have on society (151). Frye further argues how an observer failing to
see why the cage is a prison to the bird is like someone failing to treat oppression as a whole (151).
The author s creative approach spurred me to think of other birdcages presently in our society.
Specifically, I wonder how the people within the bird cages I present become invisible in the cage.
For instance, prisons and psychiatric hospitals are a representation of a bird cage. In the United
States, currently, millions of African American youth who committed petty crimes are placed with
hard core criminals. Consider, Kalief Browder,

7. In Cold Blood Sparknotes
The book In Cold Blood by Truman Capote tells the true story of the murder of the Clutter
family, the events that lead to their murders, and the reasons behind the killer s motives. In 1959
Holcomb, Kansas the family was brutally killed by gunshot wounds while being tied up by Dick
Hickock and Perry Smith. Perry Smith and Dick Hickock at first get away with the murders.
They left little clues and had no personal connection to the murdered family. The residents of
Holcomb were deeply affected by the murders. The village of Holcomb stands on the high wheat
plains of Western Kansas, a lonesome area that other Kansans call out there. The townspeople
viewed the Clutters as the family least likely in the town to be murdered. They became unable to
conceive that the killers were strangers. Many townspeople became anxious about their own
safety because they felt as if they could not trust their neighbors. Alvin Dewey was the lead
investigator who became obsessed with the murders. His need to find the killers became his
motive in life. He dedicated all of his time to this mysterious murder. As the book goes on, the
two killers move on with their lives. The book follows Dick Hickock and Perry Smith and their
travels to Mexico. It seemed as if the two men would never be caught and brought to... Show more

serving as Chief of Horse Scouts. Upon his discharge, Atilius founded the Red Faction of Caesarea

9. Evidence Based Practice Summary
The purpose of faculty training in the nursing profession is to provide program evaluation to
examine evidence based practice in a simulation of care and provide safe nursing practice. Patients
with a tracheostomy are high risk and have numerous problems for nurses to find because of
respiratory problems. In addition, understanding the facility policy regarding tracheostomy care,
the faculty must possess specific knowledge and skills to provide satisfactory care. Evidence based
research has provided the organization for nurses to improve nursing care standards and practice
regarding tracheostomy care (Schreiber, 2015). On the other hand, the patient simulation laboratory

11. The Growing Culture Of Athletics
Professor Henry
Senior Seminar
19 October 2015
Mini Review Draft Two
Introduction
The growing culture of athletics has exploded into more than that of just a sport. Collegiate and
professional American football has grown itself into a multi billion dollar industry with a fan
base of over 350 million people. As the game of football has grown and evolved, so has the
demand for bigger athletes. All positions have increased in size through the years, however one
position has seen the greatest increase in size. The average weight of an NFL offensive lineman
today is 310 pounds. This is an average increase of 50 pounds in 60 years. Teams and coaches are
pushing for players to get larger at a faster rate, primarily offensive lineman. The drawback with
this philosophy is as the size of the individual increases, as does the risk of health complications.
However, size isn t the only concern for these players that has recently has had light shed upon it,
the process of playing a line position (offensive or defensive) includes repeatedly taking head
collisions against the opposing player. Recent research has shown that this type of play, even while
wearing protective headgear, is causing lasting brain damage and head trauma. The purpose of this
review is to examine the research that has been conducted on the negative health effects associated
with playing the offensive lineman position at the collegiate and professional level. Also, why these
conditions are arising and what the

12. Identity And Sense Of Homosexuality
My first inkling that something was different was when I went on the Internet this morning and
ended up consuming video after video, reading articles, comments, and posts. I have been sitting
on the computer for who knows how long now, and it s clear to me that the majority of the world
is homosexual, with it being universally accepted and widely preferred. Heterosexualitywas a
minority and therefore, so was I.
Sure, I ve been aware that people dislike differences and seek similarities, but being on the
receiving end of vitriol, hate and prejudice makes you question your very own sense of being and
individuality. Reading and watching content on the internet was making me feel horrible about
myself. Don t get me wrong, there is a lot of positive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The idea is that self complexity can buffer threats and aid in building resilience and balance, and
this affect can spread across domains when one has better interconnected domains. For example,
someone who sees themselves as a mother, a lawyer, a wife, a martial artist etc. From what I ve
experienced online so far, heterosexuals are condensed into just that one defining domain which
influences the way others treat them and consequently the way they see themselves, and a lack of
self complexity like that can leave you vulnerable to stressors and ultimately lead to anxiety and
depression. The Social Identity Theory (Tajfel, 1974), the idea that we learn about the self through
our memberships in certain groups, is also a huge factor in the formation of an identity. Before,
when heterosexuality was the majority, I never gave much thought to my sexuality, it just was
what it was. The thing is, that s still true, it s what it is. But now there seems to be so many
connotations and attributions linked to heterosexuality that I almost wish it was a choice because
my thoughts are mostly made up of confusion and the feelings of unacceptance, fear of being
ostracized, and being seen as Other . Just reading about the way some people feel about
heterosexuality made me feel anxious about the prospect that every single person in my life has the
potential to shun me, maybe even hate me once they

13. The Epistle To The Philippian
Paul is attributed with writing the Epistle to the Philippians, and no serious doubt is raised
against the claim otherwise. It was during Paul s second missionary journey, he and his
companions set sail from Troas and took a straight course to Samothrace, the following day to
Neapolis, and from there to Philippi, which is a leading city of the district of Macedonia and a
Roman colony (Acts 12:11 12). They remained in the city, where they met a small group of Jews
attending a prayer meeting by the river. Paul was able to preach to them, and Lydia and her
household was baptized. However, the writing of the Epistle to the Philippians was not a joyous

encourage the church, but he rebuked them for their disunity and contentiousness. His letter
provided a sharp disagreement against the possibility of the Gospel being hindered because of the
discord within the church. Paul wanted them to understand and imitate the same humility
demonstrated by Christ (Acts 2). He admonishes the church to be of the same mind, having the
same love, a being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but
in humility regard others as better than yourselves (Acts 2:2 3). He further shows the faithfulness
and humility of two of his companions, Timothy and Epaphroditus as examples of individuals in
harmony with the fulfillment of the work of Christ. According to D.A Carson and Douglas Moo, it
is possible that Paul further wrote to the church to thank them for their gift, to commend Timothy to

Domestic violence is defined like an action by one person against another with the intent to cause

16. Inheritance Risk Essay
Out of date wills
Considering Rod and Rachel have not updated their Wills, this presents the issue of the assets of
their estate potentially no longer going to the beneficiaries that they would currently like or intend
to receive.
As Rod has been in two previous marriages, there is the risk that in the event of his passing that
due to his Will no longer being valid due to divorce (Allianz.com.au, 2017), unintended
beneficiaries could stake a claim on his estate (intestate) resulting in Rachel receiving a reduced or
nil benefit.
Also considering they are both business partners in a company, there is the risk that if either of

17. Simple Distillation And Fractional Distillation
Distillation is the process of separating components from a liquid mixture by selective evaporation
and condensation, utilizing the different volatility of each substance (Wikipedia, Distillation,
2015). It can result in complete separation or partial separation (which increases the concentration
of selected components) (Massachusetts, University of, 2015). The two types that were examined
in this lab was simple distillationand fractional distillation. Raoult s Law also plays an important
factor in distillation. It states that the partial vapor pressure of each component of an ideal mixture
of liquids is equal to the vapor pressure of the pure component multiplied by its mole fraction in the
mixture (Perrot, 1994).
Simple distillation is where the vapor is immediately channeled into the condenser, which results in
a distillate that is not pure but its composition is identical to the vapors at the given temperature
and pressure (Massachusetts, University of, 2015). It s effective when liquids have boiling point
differences of at least twenty five degrees Celsius (Massachusetts, University of, 2015). As it heats,
the vapors being formed will be richest in the substance that boils at the lowest temperature and
eventually as the most volatile mixture is distilled out, it will no longer be a pure compound being
distilled (Massachusetts, University of, 2015). The temperature will increase until the boiling point
of the next substance is approached, which will result in a

18. Cyber Incident Response Plan For Cyber Attack
1 What are the procedures incase of an attack. We should write a well developed cyber incident
response plan that includes all the protocols to responses. Our plan should generally have these
following components, such as response team, reporting, initial response, investigation, recovery
and follow up, public relations, and law enforcement. The job of the response team is to develop
cyber incident response plan and for investing and responding to cyber attack. They will identify
and classify cyber attack sceneries, and figuring out what tools and technology will be used to
detect the attack. Determined the scope of the attack and internal investigation. Lastly, address the

19. Impact Of Human Geography
The Impact Of Human Geography
Does physical or human geography have more of an impact on lives? The question has been
asked by many geographers and there are many strong examples for both sides. Human geography
plays a greater role in human development by changing the way people act by being more obedient
and having freedom and having a cultures that are unique , while physical geography is the outside
environment. The outside environment is not as important since humans are sheltered in homes.
People s culture make people s lifestyle different and unique. Cultural convergence is when one
culture comes in contact with another. This makes people have more diverse and and modern
cultures. Cultural convergence helps the spread of culture, like sports, which has led to the
development of the Olympics. The opposite of cultural convergence is cultural divergence, which is
the restriction of a culture coming in contact to other cultures and other influences. Because of
cultural divergence, there are still pure cultures, like in Africa. These cultures had to make

A dictatorship is a type of government where one person leads the territory, and this person is

dictator more obedient. When the leader is voted for by the citizens, that government is a called a
democracy. This lets the citizens have more control of the government. Democracy is important
because, leaders cannot abuse their power and become power hungry. Another type of government

System services
This chapter contains a definition of system services (SyS) which are both managed and
coordinated by ДЊEPS.
ДЊEPS is, according to the Energy Act, responsible for ensuring system services for the power
system at the transmission system level. The system services provided by ДЊEPS serve to ensure
both the secure and reliable operation of the power system and the quality of electricity
transmission and satisfy the various international obligations set out by the UCTE. ДЊEPS
provides the following system services:
1) Maintaining the quality of electricity
This service entails the use of the following technical organisational tools: o Management of the
summary power reserve for primary frequency control o Secondary f/P control o Secondary
voltage control o Tertiary voltage control o Ensuring the quality of the voltage sine wave o
Ensuring transmission stability
The criteria for the quality of electricity follow current technical standards пЂёV.3.
2) Real time active power balancing
This service requires the use of the following technical organisational tools: o Load frequency
control o Tertiary active power control o Dispatcher reserve
The criteria for evaluating the quality of active power balancing (the control of power interchange
at the planned level) are contained in recommendations provided by the UCTE (Ground rules
concerning primary and secondary control of frequency and active power within the UCPTE) and

MICHAEL P. SMITH Efficiency advances in natural gas extraction and development, as well as a
shift in global economics, have led to a surge in global liquefied natural gas (LNG) demand in the

expanding upstream natural gas development and downstream LNG exportation. While US.

This Note argues that U.S. LNG exportation polig is inconsistent with its WTO obligations, and
despite the merits of such apolig, those differences may not be reconciled by invoking a GATT
environmental exception. Consequently, if U.S. polig remains unchanged, the United States risks
frustrating non FTA partner countries that increasingly demand natural gas exports, creating an
internally conflicted trade polig, losing credibiliy to challenge other countries, and even
succumbing to successful challenges before the WTO.

23. Functions Of Political Parties
Political parties are the fundamental building blocks of the systems of government of modern
democracies. The Founding Fathers of our nation despised and feared the threat of factions forming
inside the government. They viewed such parties as threats to the sovereignty of the minority and
allowed the majority to inflict tyranny. However, in the modern American political landscape,
political parties organize voters, unify similar political positions, and allow the efficient creation of
policy. European political parties differ greatly from American parties, due to the governmental
system of representation established by the creators of the United States.
Votingwell is not easy. Voting for effective change requires knowledge of current issues and an
understanding of the political system. Political parties simplify the process of effective voting by
creating platforms that explain the issues and present solutions to problems. Political platforms
often include websites with explanations of local and national problems and the solutions the
various parties propose to solve them. Candidates give speeches that outline their plans for solving
problems. Political parties also organize voter outreach, activism, and advertisements, which are
targeted at voters to persuade them and present the issues to them clearly. Political parties serve the
function of making voting for issues that affect citizens easier by allowing them to identify
candidates that support their needs.

Reflexive research is more demanding than conventional qualitative research and even more so
from quantitative research. The idea of reflection is not only to reduce the naivety of the research
in relationship to the constructed nature of empirical material and themes such as power, politics
or ideology, language, authority gender, and so on, or to show how familiar the researcher is with
the literature; the main point is to lift a project, to generate more interesting innovative and well
judged interpretations and qualified results (ibid. p. 315). Finally, the writers warn to recognize but
not to be overwhelmed by the complexities of reflexive research(ibid. p. 285 6).
To sum up, their book, Reflexive Methodology as the name suggests, it is a promotion for more
reflective / reflexive approach to research in the social sciences. The authors conclude this chapter
claiming that good qualitative research and other research should build upon a general awareness
and application of the above mentioned reflective methods. In order to do so, the writers suggest

25. Synopsis Of Dubai International Airport
Dubai International Airport
Dubai International Airport was conceptualized to function as Dubai s primary airport and the
regions busiest for the foreseeable future without the need for relocation or the building of another
airport when passenger figures increased. The area was chosen near to Dubai, to attract passengers
from the city of Dubai rather than travel to the busier Sharjah International Airport. The planned
location originally was Jebel Ali. The original masterplan for the existing airport initially involved a
dual terminal and one runway configuration over two phases with provisions for another two
passenger terminals in the near future. Phase 1 included the construction for the first passenger
terminal, the first runway, 70 aircraft parking bays, support facilities and structures, including a
large maintenance hangar, the first fire station, workshops and administrative offices, an airfreight
complex, two cargo agents buildings, in flight catering kitchen and a 285ft control tower.
Construction for the second phase would commence immediately after the completion of Phase 1
and include the second runway, 50 new aircraft parking bays in addition to the existing 70 bays, a
second fire station and a third cargo agent building.
The third phase included construction of a new terminal (now the parts of Terminal 1 s main
building and Concourse C) and an additional 60 parking bays, as well as new aircraft maintenance
facility. Then, in the early 2000s a new master

After learning the dynamics of working in a research laboratory, and taking courses such as

relationships, personality, and mental health solidified. From then on, I sought to expand my
experiences in undergraduate research. For example, I participated in my first independent research
experience at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign through the Summer Research
Opportunities Program (SROP). I conducted research in the clinical/community division of the
psychology department, and my research focused on how juvenile delinquency, ADHD, and
perceptions of youth s control in choosing their own mental health service impacted the magnitude

Mediation was created to help parties compromise when they have a conflict or dispute. It was
designed so that the parties involved are able to settle there legal issues without having to go to
court. Mediation is most effective when the problem is small and between two parties, it is
growing in fields such as family law, and is a popular form of resolution between landlords and
tenants. Mediationis an effective form of dispute resolutionfor three reasons, the courts are
sometimes too busy with cases and this will eliminate that process, there are no overwhelming
lawyer fees, and it supports a mutual satisfaction between the two parties.
First, courts are constantly backed up with many different kinds of cases that have no time
frame of how long they could take, some people can not afford to wait and want their problems
to be solved as quickly as possible but want the end result to be fair. Mediation solves this
conflict of interest by giving you a way to solve your problems as soon as possible. With the

result will help mend the relationship that was once broken, rather than in court where a winner

office is also very convenient. However, in regards to packages, the post office is very poor in
quality service and efficiency (cannot track packages efficiently and has an on time delivery record
much worse than commercial carriers) 3. Bargaining Power of Suppliers Medium for the following
reasons: a) Postal materials numerous suppliers of necessary postal and packaging materials.
Switching costs are not high. The postal materials suppliers have low bargaining power. b) Software
programs combined with extensive customized programming updates / additions. The software and
software customization industries both have numerous suppliers. However, given the complexity

It is important to recognize the fact that children with developmental disoders experience grief
even though their experessions of grief may be very different from their nondisabled peers or

developmentally disabled children have trouble understanding abstract concepts, they may need
information about death and dying to be communciatied through various mediums and to
include multi sensory pieces to ensure comprehension. Using phrases such as, He is with God ,
should be avoided in order to lessen the chances of confusing the child. Developmentally
disabled children are concrete thinkers and death should be explained as simply and clearly as
possible. Understand that responses to grief may manifest themselves in a range of emotions,
cognitions, behaviors, and physical reactions. Using materials that the child can see, such as a
feelings chart to help the him or her identify and describe their responses may be beneficial. Talk
to the child abou the purpose of rituals like wakes, memorials, and funerals, being very detailed
about what the child is to expect. Use of pictures, photographs, or story books is encouraged in
order to familiarize the child with new words and activities related to death. Shielding children
from the reality of death and mourning rituals should be limited as such protective treatment may
prohibit the child s coping efforts and grief reactions, leaving them at a higher risk for developing
psychiatric problems

36. Essay On Mango Street
It took me awhile to find it. The taxi driver and I were shouting over each other in French about
whether the orphanage was another street down or already behind us, but finally the crooked
sign GRACE HOUSE appeared, dripping painted words. The driver lost no time in depositing
me on the lonely street, and I felt more orphaned than ever before, marching myself through the
creaking gate. Dirty floors and dim lights welcomed me inside. I did my best to prepare myself
for what might come next coughing invalids or stray chickens or skeleton babies and I nearly
stepped on top of the bright red Sanuks. Who are you? The voice caught me first, unmistakable in
her accent. The journalist from ADRA. I called earlier about stopping by? I found... Show more

* * * * Bring in the goat! Cheikh Mohammed beckoned towards one of his wives. She returned a
moment later with a blistering platter to add to the collection of feast foods. He motioned for
me; we reached our fingers into the meat. After spending nine months with ADRA, I decided to
leave with my unanswered questions about responsible third world development and take a bush
taxi deep into the Saharan interior. I wanted to see a community still untouched by the most part
from outside aid; I wanted to know how a people can withstand hardships and sustain themselves
by themselves. I wanted to see inner empowerment working for myself: a community that hadn t
been crippled into dependency yet. That s how I found myself sharing dinner and conversation
on the village chief s rooftop each Thursday night, overlooking a cluster of low painted tents and
the gingerbread type houses breaking up the wide expanse of desert. Cheikh Mohammed, do
your friends give you gifts? I started in Arabic, breaking off a piece of village bread. Of course, it s
a friendly thing to do. He adjusted his posture on the scratchy woven

37. Essay on The Blu.Ray Media Player
Have you ever owned a Blu ray player? There are many characteristics that make the Blu ray
player the best choice for a home entertainment system today. People were interviewed, and the
majority of them said that they enjoy using the Blu ray player because of its high quality audio
and video. Kevin Pratt of the Lexus College (a college that teaches its students about Lexus cars)
says that Lexus chose Blu ray as their entertainment system because it s the best system available.
He said, ...They naturally asked themselves what would deliver the best experience. It s Blu ray, of
course, so they put a lot of effort into making that happen. Lexus has many customers that enjoy the

Even if a DVD has poor quality, Blu ray has the ability to make it look flawless. Chris Walker
from Pioneer Electronics USA states, The player is equipped to take even low resolution audio
and video content and improve it, further elevating your home theater experience. The Pioneer
Blu ray player has 36 Bit Deep Color for the highest possible clarity and color accuracy (New
Pioneer Blu ray). In 2012, Panasonic released a new line of Blu ray players. These devices use
Adaptive Chroma Processing, a program that increases color data processing by 50% compared
to their Blu ray players in 2010. In addition to everything else, Panasonic s Blu ray players
contain a DVD Super Resolution Processer. The processer creates a more natural picture with no
false colorations; it creates a higher resolution (Panasonic s 2012 Blu ray). High quality picture
isn t the only element that the Blu ray players possess. In addition to superior video, the Blu ray
players have greater audio compared to DVDs. Sony Blu ray players can access 7.1 Surround
Sound with the connection of an AV reciever. Sony added DTS HD and Dolby TrueHD decoding
software to increase the audio capabilities of their Blu ray equipment. They strived to make the
audio quality as outstanding as the video quality using two BRAVIA Theatresystems (Sony s New
Blu ray). Even if a customer doesn t include 7.1 Surround

38. La Tomatina Research Paper
The holiday, La Tomatina, is a tradition that has gone on for generations. Spain is the main country
that celebrates it every year, but tens of thousands travel from all parts of the world to participate
in it. La Tomatina means tomato festival , and is very self explanatory from its definition. On the
last Wednesday of August, people throw over ripe tomatoesat one another the entire day, leaving
people drenched in tomato carnage, but in utter happiness as well. In all, more than 100 metric
tons of tomatoes are used in the festival! It is quite questionable of how such a holiday came to be.
It was back in the mid 1900s that La Tomatinabegan to be celebrated by the people of Spain. In the
October of 1944, another Spanish festival, Gigantes... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As most would have assumed, tomatoes are eaten during the festival and are prepared in many
ways (simmered, fresh, crushed). Tomato sauce is also served with entrees such as eggs or any
kind of meat. There are even paella cooking contests, and a palo jabГіn , an event in which brave
participants climb a greased wooden pole all the way to the top, where there will be a leg of
ham. The street fight with tomatoes will only begin after these two events. There are some
specific rules to follow when having a gigantic food fight with tomatoes. For one, objects cannot
be thrown that could cause harm to others. This includes the tomatoes, which may only be
thrown if they are soft or crushed. People during the festival wear rugged and/or dirty clothing,
and another rule states people cannot tear or rip clothing to throw tomatoes at someone. Despite
the number of rules that need to be followed, the festival is still very fun. The food fight occurs
between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. At the beginning of the food fight, trucks haul all the tomatoes
into the town, which are paid for at an inexpensive price. The firing of water cannons signals the
beginning of the festival, which is typically every man for himself . After a few hours, the festival
will end and no tomatoes can be thrown. As this point, fire trucks spray down the streets to clean
them. The people, unsurprisingly, quickly go to wash themselves (there

40. The Car
As I blinked my eyes open, I remembered the screeching of the car. My heart racing at felt like a
thousand s, I finally remembered it had happened so quickly. I layed down until my mind
comprehended what was happening. I heard an easy voice in the distance, Are you all right? It
was the paramedics talking to little sisters. I tried to yell, but the medics walked up to me and
patted me up, and told me to go get my sisters and follow her to the ambulance. I ran crying and
breathing harshly and complaining that they wanted my mom. I felt like crying but I could not.
I had to keep my sisters, who are still 4 years old calm. We went to the ambulance and waited.
Then the police officer walked up to us and asked us some question. I asked him if, I could look
for my dad but he handed me. My dad s phone and my mom s necklace. He told me that the
paramedics took them to the hospital. The police officer thanked us and climbed out the
ambulance. The medic closed the door and drove us to the hospital. As I entered the building,

41. A Research Study On Lesbian Families And Lesbian Survivors...
Research Question
The following is my preliminary research question. In Ottawa Ontario, what are the resources or
services that are available to and for lesbian survivors of intimate partner violence, and how do
women that have contacted these resources feel about the adequacy of the services they were
offered?
Research Statement
Reflecting on the path my answer might take, it is possible that the resources and services
available in Ottawa reflect a heteronormative belief about society. Put another way; the services
could reproduce the erasure of lesbian experiences of partner violence. In this sense, the
experience of heterosexual women and lesbian women could be conflated, and all women offered
the same services. That being said, lesbian women may not have their needs met in a way that is
concrete or meaningful. Consequently, it is necessary for service and resources that respond to
intimate partner violence to offer services outside of a heterosexual lens to better meet the needs of
lesbian survivors.
I believe that my argument matters because lesbian survivors of intimate partner violence deserve
the recognition that their experiences matter. Moreover, the erasure of the lesbian experience in
available services could be viewed as an extension of violence itself. Therefore, my argument
matters because lesbian survivors of partner violence matter. A challenge that could be put forth is
that female survivors of violence have similar experiences based on the fact that they
