P1 Explain Different Types And Purposes Of Organization
LO1 Explain the different types, size, and scope of organizations. LO2 Demonstrate the
interrelationship of the various functions within an organization and how they link to organizational
structure. Task 1: P1 Explain different types and purposes of organizations; public, private and
voluntary sectors and legal structures. [AC 1] Different authors has defined the Organization in
different ways, according to Keith Davis, Organization may be defined as a group of individuals, large
of small, that is cooperating under the direction of executive leadership in the accomplishment of the
certain common object. (Publish your articles, 2015) The organization is a social or business unit of

[AC 2] Organizational structure is a system that consists of explicit and implicit institutional rules and
policies designed to outline how various work roles and responsibilities are delegated, controlled and
coordinated. (Investopedia, 2017) , It determines the guidelines of activities such as task distribution,
coordination, and supervision to reach and achieve organizational objectives. The organization can be
structured in various ways, depending on its objectives. (IHH) Insani Yardim Vakfi (Human relief

Comparing The Soldier And Dulce Et Decorum Est
Contrasting War Poems Essay
The Soldier, by Rupert Brooke, and Dulce et Decorum Est, written by Wilfred Owen three years later,
are both war poems, written by officers that fought on the trenches. However, the poems have very
different attitudes to war: The Soldier supports the war and glorifies it, while Dulce et Decorum Est is
anti war. In this essay I intend to explore the differences between the poems I will commence by
talking about the religious ideas, which leads me on to the representation of death. After that I will talk
about the naivety of the poet, and the poem s views on enlisting. Finally, I will talk about the structure
of the poem, which gives a message about the author s views on the war.
The two poems each present a very ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This reinforces the fact that Wilfred Owen was not naïve, because he knew what he was talking about,
unlike Rupert Brook, who had no personal experience of dying as of when the poem was written.
The next difference between the two poems is the encouragement of enlisting. Dulce et Decorum Est
presents war as not a glorious thing, by dehumanising the soldiers, and calling them old beggars under
sacks and hags . At the end of the poem, the poet goes on to say:
...My friend, you would not tell with such high zest
To children ardent for some desperate glory...
Here, the poem clearly presents its anti enlistment views, which makes it not patriotic, because the
poem is not supporting the country. He goes further, quoting the first line of a famous poem written by
the Roman poet Horace, Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori (which was well known and often
quoted by supporters of the war), and calling it a lie ; this is emphasised by the use of a capital L.
Rupert Brooke s poem, however, paints an extremely idealistic view of war, which is very patriotic;
the poem mentions the word England or a derivative of it six times in the 14 line poem, and it is
referred to constantly throughout the poem. Therefore The Soldier is pro enlistment, due to the amount
patriotism in the poem, which encourages people to also be patriotic and do their duty to the

What Is The Tone Of The Confessions Of St. Augustine
The Confessions of St. Augustine is a powerful book which combines an autobiography of the life of
St. Augustine and his conversion from a life of sin to the Catholic faith, an apology to the ideas and
beliefs of the Catholic Church, and a blending of Catholic philosophy with Platonic philosophy into
one of the best writings of faith, on faith, and about faith by a Christian philosophy.
Throughout the book, St. Augustine narrates his movement from a life of sin to a life of faithfulness
through two different formats, the first part an autobiography of his life as a sinner and the second part
his views on philosophy. What struck me the most in reading this book is the measured tone and the
Christianity which St. Augustine displayed throughout

Classroom Reflection Essay
The classroom was a tall open square filled with around 35 student desks and one large set of desks in
the front of the class. The front desks consisted of smaller desks which included a stand up desk that
held a computer and a smaller but longer desk with a chair. Behind the front desks was as whiteboard
wall that had a projector pointing towards the wall. All of the student s desks were scattered
throughout the class and faced the whiteboard the room has a lot of space, but the number of desks in
the room took up most of the walking space. The first student arrived at 5:52. Afterwards nine others
join him, one by one. Two of the students began having a conversation while the others. The
discussion between the students stopped shortly after Mrs. Keener arrived.
Mrs. Keener walks in at 5:56 and greets me. She then makes her way to the front of the room and logs
into the IPFW system. The students in the room stay quiet and focused on other things such as their
phones and printed articles as I talk to Mrs. Keener. After she pulls up a power point from the
projector the class begins right at 6:00.
She begins with asking for students to get their writer s notebooks out and answer the question that
was on the whiteboard: (When it comes to Literature Review versus Annotated Bibliography) Which
do you do and why? What do you understand to be the difference between these two mediums. Please
respond to this question in your writer s notebook. Keener also mentioned that she would be

Analysis of Red, Green, and Murder Essay
Red, Green, or Murder In Posadas County, New Mexico, a retired sheriff by the name of Bill Gastner
gets caught in thing that he would have never thought. He knows two things about humans most
criminals aren t as smart as they think they are and humans are highly predictable. Gastner was
suppose to have lunch with George Payton but instead he found himself racing to meet up with an
ambulance because his neighbor Dale Torrance lands on the wrong side of his horses hoofs. Returning
from the hospital Gastner learns that Payton was found dead by his son in law after only taking a few

There was no room for mistakes but now since he was being sent to the hospital he called Gabaldon
and asked him to dump the poison on the other side of the border so that no one could find a trace of it
on him. Gabaldon had remembered that he had to be at work on time because he had important
business to take care of. So he hid the truck and the trailer and went the work. Apparently somewhere
along the way some had stolen the truck and the cattle were released. Eventually the poison made it to
the other side the border but not the way they intended it to. Sheriff Guzman found the poison in the
truck and locked up Dale Torrance and Pat Gabaldon for murder.
Red, Green, or Murder The arthur choice the title for this novel because it describes the struggle. This
story relates more to his own life. The struggle the Sheriff and Gastern had in solving the case is the
same struggle he had. His wife was going through a disease and they couldn t find a cure. The color
red stands for how he thought he was in the red zone. He couldn t figure out the case and for some
reason it was hard for him. The color green means that he was getting his confidence back and he
started believing he could figure it out. Murder stands of how they worked together and they solved
the case and it was a murder. Unlike the story his wife lived and didn t die. He was very happy that he
could spent the rest of his life

Microsoft Sql Database Management System
Introduction and Methodology
Microsoft SQL Database Administrator Database plays a major role in any organization. As a
Database administrator(DBA) he/she is responsible in developing, implementing and maintaining the
databases and DBA s are also responsible in updating, backup s and security of the databases. The first
Database Management System was developed in the late 1960 s by two firms based on their network
data model but in the early 1970 s a scientist of IBM introduced Relational database theory after six
years IBM completed prototype on RDBMS (relational database management system). Oracle created
the first versatile Relational Database Management Systems In 1983, which allowed organizations to
use their DBMS on different machines including mainframes, workstations, and Pc s. In 1993
Microsoft first created a database application called Access for Macintosh machines. Microsoft SQL
server is a RDBMS which is used to store and retrieve the data by other software applications. There
are 12 types of servers concentrated on various types of user s from single computer to large networks
(Microsoft SQL DBA). I have pursued my under graduation in Information Technology, during my
course work I was more interested in databases and I have developed special interest in making it as
my career. I have learned basics of all database concepts and I have attended extra tuitions and
seminars to get in depth knowledge about it. In the last semester of my master s program I

The Role Of Sin In Edgar Allen Poe s Poetry
I do believe that Edgar Allen Poe illustrates a biblical view of sin throughout out his writings. He just
shows multiple representations of sin in each writing he wrote. Edgar Allen Poe was a very interesting
man who was very dark in many of his writings. He wrote many twisted stories throughout his life but
he also had meaning behind each writing he wrote. In Poe s first assigned writing The Philosophy of
Composition, he talks about all types of literary works and he describes evil when he refers to a little
poem, which says, Prophet, said I, thing of evil! prophet still if bird or devil! By that heaven that
bends above us by that God we both adore, Tell this soul with sorrow laden, if within the distant
Aidenn, It shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels name Lenore Clasp a rare and radiant maiden
whom the angels name Lenore. Quoth the raven Nevermore (Poe). This quote is talking about the evil
that gives the soul a heavy sadness which is a biblical sin. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Poe shows how the narrator is completely falling apart when she died as he says, She died; and I,
crushed into the very dust with sorrow, could no longer endure the lonely desolation of my dwelling in
the dim and decaying city by the Rhine. I had no lack of what the world calls wealth. Ligeia had
brought me far more, very far more than ordinarily falls to the lot of mortals (Poe). This is just a
representation of a biblical sin that when we put all of our energy into a mortal person instead of Jesus
Christ then we will hit rock bottom as soon as they are

The Confederate Flag Essay
The Confederate Flag
On January 1992 the NAACP put in affect a boycott on South Carolina to pressure the state to remove
the Confederate flag off of its Statehouse in Columbia. The boycott is what initially brought life to this
issue. The NAACP s removal request is based on the fact that they, the anti flag groups, claim that the
meaning of the Confederate flag is one of hate and discrimination. On the other hand, there are other
groups that believe differently whom are called the pro flag groups. They claim that the Confederate
flag is a sign of heritage and should stay on South Carolina s Statehouse. Anti flag articles are more
likely to be found published in well known Liberal magazines, when credible pro flag articles were

This viewpoint can be found in Eric Foner s article Rebel Yell which is published in a well known
liberal magazine The Nation. Foner who is a historian believes that the main cause of the Civil War
was the South s opposition to freeing slaves. He states that slavery was the big reason why the Civil
War was started and that all of the other issues stemmed off of it. This view is shared among the anti
flag supporters as seen in this quotation from another anti flag article. Try as we may to pretend that
slavery wasn t a big issue as any other, the truth is, had the South been agreeable to the idea of ending
slavery, then the civil war may very well have never happened (Amy par. 2). Foner then uses logos by
explaining how the Declaration of the Immediate Causes of Secession shows evidence of this in its
causes of secession. To understand what the flag now flying in Columbia represents, one need only
read the Declaration of Immediate Causes of Secession, adopted by South Carolina secession
convention in December 1860 (Foner par. 2). Foner gives some examples of the declaration being
about slavery by quoting some things it stated, and one quotation out of the Declaration of Immediate
Causes of Secession is about Lincoln being a man whose opinions and purposes are hostile to slavery
(Foner par. 2). This quote proves that South Carolina was seceding because of Lincoln s

Lesbian Identity Politics and Associated Organizations Essay
Identity politics were a major part of social reform in the Sixties and Seventies. Yet, the advent of
identity politic reform originates in the Fifties, a decade that saw the African American Civil Rights
Movement start to gain momentum. On the heels of the Civil Rights movement, we also see the
Women s Liberation Movement begin to gain steam, shortly thereafter followed by the Gay Liberation
Movement. And as an offshoot of these reform movements, we observe the dawn of lesbian identity
politics a movement very much its own amongst its predecessors. One sect would come to be coined
the lavender menace of feminism a group of mostly Caucasian lesbians followed later by the black
lesbian feminist group, The Combahee River Collective. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After delivering the food, and being understandably annoyed with the task, she was belittled by a male
protestor who would have her as a sexual reward for sitting in. Black feminists, such as those in the
Combahee River Collective, experienced very similar discrimination in Civil Rights campaigns,
especially groups like the Black Panthers. Just like Jay, many African American women were used as
sexual remuneration to men who did good work within their organizations. This patriarchy, antithetic
to the goals of feminism, was the undoubted enemy of both these lesbian organizations usurping it
became one clear goal. The Combahee River Collective, though, did not feel separate from African
American men concerning race, yet, felt doubly oppressed by white patriarchy. Understanding that
they connected with black men racially, yet struggled with them sexually, almost supplements the idea
that white men who controlled government and economy were the ultimate oppressor. They did not
feel they were separate, but rather, just opposed to black men along patriarchal lines. Inversely, the
Collective connected with white lesbians against patriarchy, but were subjected to hierarchy within
feminism as well as lesbianism. Secondly, we see that if well known reformists were not male, they
were heterosexual, the epitome being Betty Friedan. This was the reason for the more specific goal of
the two groups: battling hierarchy in addition to

The Nfl And The Football League
When bringing up the topic of Football, people think of Muscular men above six foot physically
pounding each other. Offensive and defensive players in the pros are averagely 6 foot 5 and around
300 pounds. While skill players such as receivers, running backs, and defensive backs are usually
around 6 foot, 200 pounds. Men in pro leagues are very big and described as mean guys ready for war.
The more popular Football Leagues are like the National Football League, Canadian Football League,
and Arena Football League. The biggest professional football league in America is the National
Football League. According to the NFL, 23 of the 25 most watched programs on television this fall we

Growing up it was rare to see women put on shoulder pads and a helmet, and run around acting like

Women playing Football is not respected enough. Unless it s women aggressively hitting each other
while wearing tight booty shorts and a bra with shoulder pads on and a helmet. This happens in a
women s football league called Legends Football League, referred to as Lingerie Football League. The
Lingerie Football League is a women s 7 on 7 tackle American football league that Started in Australia
then came to America. The league was founded in 2009 as the Lingerie Football League and was
renamed as the Legends Football League in 2013. The league s founder and chairman is Mitchell S.
Mortaza. I feel that Women who play Lingerie Football should be recognized by their talent to play
the sport rather than their half nakedness. A lot of men do not think women are tough enough to play
Football. These women that do play football in Professional leagues should be taken more serious not
only by their peers, but by the Lingerie Football League s founder and Chairman Mitchell S. Mortaza.
Women that play Lingerie Football play just as hard as men in professional football leagues. Mitchell
S. Mortaza should start paying these Women playing in the Lingerie football League what they

To effectively treat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD in combat Veterans and service members,
therapists use different techniques, which are preceded by addressing any underlying pain associated

protocol for use with patients in a TBI PTSD residential treatment facility, including increasing the
number of sessions per week, combining group and individual therapy, and augmenting the treatment

Kreiss and Fruchter (2016) provide effective psychotherapy approaches for treating combat veterans
with chronic post traumatic stress disorder, which they show their efficacy with a great deal of
support. The research is more comprehensive than most studies as it provides an assessment of the
psychiatric status at baseline, post treatment and 8 12 months follow up using the Clinician

offers a working conceptual framework and a set of intervention strategies designed to repair moral
injury, which is a strength also evident in Peterson et al. (2011). Lunney, Schnurr and Cook, (2014)

A Social Group
In life, we all play different roles. I am a daughter, niece, friend, student, employee and artist. The
definition of a social group is two or more people who interact on a regular basis in routine ways and
who share a common sense of membership and identity. A social group example would be classmates
in one section of a class and an example of an aggregate would be New Yorkers riding the subway
together. An aggregate is not a group but a collection of people who briefly share the same physical
space but do not see themselves as belonging together. Over the summer, I auditioned to be part of a
theatre company and was asked to join. The name of the company is called Complete Theatre
Company and they do shows and have acting classes three days a week. I was recently part of their
improvisation show Call My Dog . The people in the class range from ages eighteen to seventy five,
normally in the Friday class, they are about 15 people that come, but it depends on the day. It differs
week to week. A normal acting class is formatted by doing physical and vocal warm ups, having a
keynote speaker where we talk about different aspects about the business of acting and then Annie
goes around the room and asks us if we have a scene or a monologue to work on and if we do, we
work on them and the class gives positive feedback. We are a primary group because we are small in
number, we interact personally (we know about each other s personal life) and we show genuine
interest and support

What Was Paris In The 1920s
Paris in the 1920s Paris is known for its beautiful attractions, the diversity from entertainment to

of reasons depending on what an individual was going through, or what would be going over there at
the time. A war had just ended and all of what was wanted was joy, happiness, and the freedom to
express an individual and their values. This was the time to talk about things that went on in the past
and the changes that were occuring. During the 1920s, Paris was a huge inspirational and forever

Religious Influence Of Tolerance In The British Colonies
Tolerance in the British colonies varied, mainly depending on the diversity levels where they were
founded. In some of the colonies, there were laws established so the importance of Christianity would
be conserved. Other colonies were welcoming to different religions, and executed either limited or full
tolerance for those religions. Unfortunately, colonies that were bigoted enough to damage fabrications
of differing religious views or the belief itself existed.
Throughout the British colonies, different laws based off of religious view were formed in order to
preserve Christianity and drive away any religion that didn t praise God. In Pennsylvania, there was a
law enacted by the founder of the province, William Penn, that denied anyone to practice any religion
that didn t recognize God as creator of the world. If anyone was to disobey this law, they would
molested or would be prejudiced for their conflicting practice. Additionally, the law stated if someone
weren t to worship God, and showed it outside of their own home, they would be considered a
disturber of peace, and would be punished appropriately. A similar law was ratified previously in the
charter of Rhode Island, where someone could be disquieted, punished, and called in for questioning if
they had an opposing opinion of religion. Other laws that reinforced Christianity were stressed as well,
like laws that prevented work on the Lord s Day, or Sunday, to instead worship God. Again in
Pennsylvania, people were

Throughout the novel i began to wonder if anyone of the events portrayed by Clancy had any
historical or real world evidence of occuring, such as mass USSR defection by disgruntled citizens
and military figures, the act of scuttling or purposely sinking your own naval vesel, and the United
States stance on allowing in fugitives from foreign countries. In The Hunt for Red October, it is
questionable as to whether or not the United States would be so openly willing as to send out enitre
battleships just to allow asylum to a handful of defectors from foreign countries. In history, there are
numerous accounts of defectors coming to the United States during and after WWII. As we as students
aren t generally educated on defectors coming to the United States while in school, it seems
questionable to wonder about our nation s stance on accepting them. People in the novel such as Jack
Ryan and Captain Bart Macuso are entirely ready to allow Ramius and his fellow defectors asylum in
the States without so much as a second thought, Ryan goes as far as to blatently state that naturally, we
give asylum to the defection officers (Clancy 72). This statement indicates that providing asylum for
defectors is very common within the novel s world, which is nearly identical to our own, yet we only
hear of United States defectors fleeing to

Moltenberg Sex
These readings challenged many of the beliefs I had regarding sex and sexuality. It is only now that,
after reading the pieces by Seidman, Stoltenberg, and Fausto Sterling, I can see my previous
assumptions were based on my experiences living in a society that reinforces binaries and conditions
individuals to feel obligated to choose between two opposite and mutually exclusive categories that
don t actually exist. Seidman s decoupling of sex and reproduction, Stoltenberg s acknowledgement of
sexuality as a continuum, and Fausto Sterling s exploration of the experiences of intersex individuals
shed light on the intricacies of sex and sexuality that norms usually try to subvert. Heterosexuality is
often given a privileged position in society ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Humans must recognize that sex is a continuum, and that We are... a multisexed species (Stoltenberg
25). To limit sex to man and woman is to oversimplify the vast combinations that genuine, consenting
individuals are making. The identification as male is a conscious step into an inner circle, a circle that
separates itself through interests and values identified as male and through a rejection or non
identification with that which is perceived to be non male, or female (Stoltenberg 29). By accepting a
spectrum sexuality opens one up to un gender their sexuality so as to not be suppressed by the
limitations imposed by a sexual identity. Anne Fausto Sterling further separates sex from sexual
identity by discussing the experiences of intersex individuals. Despite what society expects of those
who don t neatly fit into the binary, intersex individuals generally manage to live happy lives. After
this reading, it seems ridiculous that society has been allowed to determine what a person s genitalia
should be. As America begins to become more accepting of homosexuality, hopefully those who
genitalia is a mixture of both male and female sex organs will also find themselves being more

Compare and Contrast the Ways Philip Sidney s Astrophil...
Introduction
In the late sixteenth and the seventeenth century, new ideas and motives in arts, inspired by the past
but concerned with new concepts, appeared. Building on a courtly love, some writers and poets
attempted to discuss the nature of love by commenting on gender issues and sexuality (MacArthur,
1989). Thus, love conventions, based on a passion or an unrequited love, would change, challenging
social norms and discussing male and female sexualities. On the one hand, the authors explore male
sexualities and a desire for a woman. Phillip Sidney s narrator is a lustful, musing about his chosen
woman, her body and a sexual intercourse. Milton s character Comus resembles a similar character
when attempting to seduce the Lady, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This male desire is given devious and egotistic connotations, because it overcomes reason, and
becomes preoccupied with Stella s body. Stella, on the other hand, is personified Love and Virtue but
that body grant to us (AS, sonnet 52.14). However, Astrophil remains lustful, and when he is denied
her body, he views her as too too cruel (AS, sonnet 2.3 4), and becomes resentful.
John Milton: Comus, A Mask presented at Ludlow Castle (1634)
Milton s mask, presenting notions of chastity and a rampant sexuality, uses Comus, a devious
character, to address the issue of physical desire. Comus, a passionate and sexual necromancer,
captures the Lady, brings her to his pleasure palace, and attempts to seduce her through magic and a
persuasion to be not coy (C, p.44). Similarly to Sidney s poet, Comus experiences a narcissistic
temptation of a bodily pleasure, which makes him more emotional than his female victim. By using a
phallic symbol, his wand, he enchants the Lady, and offers her food and drink to increase her appetite
and her desire. Her serve the drink in a cup, symbolically representing a well of sexual pleasures.
Thus, his idea of passion is of natural impulses, projected through the body rather than the mind. But
the Lady, just like Stella, recognises a higher nature of her virtues, and thus she defeats the Comus.
Hence, the two characters represent two opposites: body and mind, desire and rationality, and lust and
morality. The author

Faustus summons a demon named Mephistopheles, who helps Faustus sell his soul to the devil.
Throughout the play, Faustus begins to have doubts and starts to repent, however, the only answer that

through Europe playing trick on people such as the Pope and Emperor of German yet his time soon
runs out. An old man urges Faustus to repent, but Faustus drives him away. On his final night, Faustus
is overcome by fear and remorse, but it is too late because at midnight devils appear and carry his soul
off to hell. God is absent throughout the play to reflect Faustus beliefs on God, as well as, Marlowe s
own religious beliefs.
In addition, the absence of God reflect the beliefs of Faustus on God. Faustus does not believe in God.
Faustus has no desire to serve God, but he does have a desire to please himself by using his power to
discover information about the world that he is unaware of. God is

Satire is Used in the Portraits, Gin Lane, by William...
What is satire? According to oxforddictionaries.com, satire is The use of humor, irony, exaggeration,
or ridicule to expose and criticize people s stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of
contemporary politics and other topical issues. This literary device is portrayed heavily in both the
illustrations Gin Lane by William Hogarth and in Untitled by Paul Kuczynski. Gin Lane is basically
an illustration by William Hogarth that depicts life in the gin shops and shows the negative effects the
drink had on the people of London. It shines a light on the horrible circumstances London was under
when gin was introduced to its people. Unititled is an illustration by Paul Kuczynski that represents

In the top story of one the buildings fortunate to still be standing, is a man who has hung himself from
the rafters. Willaim Hogarth used all these startling scenes to grab the attention of the viewer and give
them an insight on London at its lowest. Through Gin Lane, Hogarth expressed the ravenous effects
gin had on the people of London and how it affected the living environment as well. Untitled by Paul
Kuczynski also contains satire, however the author of this portrait uses satire to depict the theme of
isolation, instead of misery, poverty, ruin and neglect. This simple, yet thought provoking picture,
shows a man looking through a periscope that is shaped like the Facebook symbol, to see through a
window above an open door. The door is not barricaded in any way, shape or form, so the man is able
to walk outside and see what is going on in the world first hand. Instead, he chooses to stay inside by
himself and view the world through Facebook. Through Untitled, Kuczynski conveys the message that
social media interaction is overtaking physical interaction. People are more likely to go on social
media to find out what is happening than to go out and experience it themselves. Kuczynski s painting
greatly showcases that even in its simplicity. Despite the fact that both pieces of art contain various
differences, they contain similarities as well. Some of the differences include the message portrayed,
themes and the style of drawing. In Hogarth s

Arizona SWAT Team Case Study
Domestic police forces within the United States have been getting more and more militarized since the
. In the 1990s, programs were made to help police departments acquire military hardware and
weapons. These programs were a response to the feeling that police were out gunned by the drug
cartels and gangs. Now, with violent crime rates on the decline, police are still acquiring this hardware
and weapons, not in response to crimes currently happening, but in fear of crimes that can happen. It
can be seen in the purchases made by the police departments, the hardware the police have, and their
response to calls.
Under programs 1033 and 1122, police departments in Arizona have purchased 12 Mine Resistant

Outsourced Data and Cloud Computing
As we know that cloud is a drastic data center for outsourced data. Cloud is a familier tool because of
its useful architectural tools. Data sharing is another common habituated property to the common
people. These data sharing include video data in social networks, this was done regularly through
mobile devices like smart phones, tablets, laptops etc. we focused on demands on video traffic over
mobile networks. Mobile network consist limited bandwidth and long buffering time. To overcome
these issues we suppose adaptive mobile video streaming, efficient social video sharing. These two
approaches shows scalable results in social network environment.
Introduction
Cloud computing is the provision of dynamically scalable and often virtualized resources as a services
over the internet Users need not have knowledge of, expertise in, or control over the technology
infrastructure in the cloud that supports them. Cloud computing represents a major change in how we
store information and run applications. Instead of hosting apps and data on an individual desktop
computer, everything is hosted in the cloud an assemblage of computers and servers accessed via the
Internet. Cloud computing exhibits the following key characteristics: 1. Agility improves with users
ability to re provision technological infrastructure resources. 2. Multi tenancy enables sharing of
resources and costs across a large pool of users thus allowing for:

Bitcoin Is A New Form Of Currency
Bitcoin is a new form of currency that is entirely digital with no central authority. It can be traded
anywhere; it is accepted for all sorts of goods and services. There are online market places and
exchanges to allow you to exchange Bitcoin for USD or other currencies. But with an entirely digital
nature comes the potential for a very risky business. The currency, sites, and transactions all have the
possibility of being hacked. Theft is still likely to occur with digital currencies. The way transactions
are processed gives the currency an anonymous nature. This anonymity allows for it to be used in
unethical and ultimately illegal ways. This paper shows both positive and negative sides of Bitcoin
and demonstrates how Bitcoin can be a valid currency with better control. Due to the recent nature of
this topic and how it will be discussed in this paper, there are very few reasonable scholarly sources
available. There are a few from well known publications and journals but none that touch on Bitcoin
in the way I would like to discuss it. I have a few good sources to pull from but because the lack of
scholarly sources, I will have to use sources such as Wikipedia and Bitcoin.org because they are the
authoritative source of information for Bitcoin. Before one can pass judgment on whether Bitcoin can
be a valid currency or just a novel idea one must understand its origins and how it works. On August
18th 2008 the domain name bitcoin.org was officially registered. October 31,

Trojan War in Homer´s The Iliad
Homer s Heroes
The epic poem called The Iliad written by Homer concerns the Trojan War. It shows Trojan and
Achaean warriors courage, bravery and their attempt to become the best fighter to get fame, glory, and
honor. The heroes in The Iliad follow Homer s heroic code, striving for excellence. Hector and
Achilles strength comes from their desire for fame, glory, honor and their acceptance of fate. These
qualities are considered to be characteristics of Homer s heroic code. However, the actions of Paris are
not heroic causing trouble and conflict for many people. In fact, Paris non heroic action started the
Trojan War and the hatred between Greece and Troy.

Thetis...tells me of two possible destinies...two ways: if on one hand I remain to fight around Troy
town, I lose all hope of home but gain unfading glory; on the other, if I sail back to my own land my
glory fails but a long life lies ahead of me. (K 47 54)
The proper burial which Achilles does for all his victims in the war is a heroic action. Since burial is a
very important thing for both Achaeans and Trojans, the families of the dead ones were able to
appreciate Achilles respect for the dead people. Andromache says of Achilles attack on her father:
He killed him, but, reverent at least in this, did not spoil him. Body, gear, and weapon forged so
handsomely, he burned, and heaped a barrow over the ashes. Elms were planted round by mountain
nymphs of him who bears the storm cloud. (J 127 33)
Achilles requests to his mother, Thetis, to ask Zeus and make the Trojans stronger until Agamemnon
and his army realize that they need Achilles back in order to win the war. So, Thetis asks Zeus, Lend
the Trojans power,/ until the Achaeans recompense my son/ and heap new honour upon him! (C 20 23)
The strategy that Achilles plans works out and eventually he is back in the army. However since he
chooses fame and glory over a long and relaxing life, the time for Achilles death comes. Being the
hero that he is, Achilles accepts his fate when Hector foreshadows it and mentions his death is close
by.

Behavior Therapy
Introduction The behavioral theory of counselling is a type of therapy that bases its foundation on the
belief that it is possible to learn behavior. Counsellors and therapists apply classic conditioning as one
way in which this type of therapy could be implemented and it is derived from the research conducted
by Ivan Pavolov. The theorist evaluated classic condition through an experiment with dogs, whereby
he focused on the impact of a learned response. Based on his study, Pavolov was able to determine
that behavior can be conditioned though the use of a stimulus (Fava et al., 2014). With regards to
domestic violence, it is possible to incorporate behavior therapy to reduce the prevalence of the

How Electronic and Hybrid Engines Can be Used Instead of...
How can the electronic and hybrid engines be used instead of the petrol engines
Introduction:
Hybrid engines and electric and other forms of fuel are being tried the world over on account of
multiple problems. It is not only for vehicles but also for the industries that use fossil fuels and
chemicals for manufacture. The primary problem is the pollution of the air, water and the entire planet
on account of fossil fuel use. Not all fossil fuel forms are harmful. For example CNG, compressed
natural gas is less harmful. The use of fossil fuel has deadly repercussions on human, animal and plant
health. In other words all life on the planet can be at jeopardy. The shocking truth is revealed as
follows: John Vidal of the Guardian reported that millions die in Asia on account of vehicle pollution.
According to the report he quoted, issued by a consortium of universities working in conjunction with
the UN, most of the deaths in Asia are caused by air pollution and fifty two million people died by
particle air pollution in 2010. (Vidal, 2012, p. 4)
Air pollution causes cognitive decline, strokes and heart attacks. Thus with the rise in automobile use
the air pollution in India is far above the legal limits of 100 micrograms per cubic metre. This can rise
to nearly 1,000 microgram s during festivals like Diwali. (Vidal, 2012, p. 4) Worldwide, over three
million people a year died from air pollution in 2010, and air pollution is ranked world s top 10 lists of
killer diseases. Some

severe trauma, and individuals with previous experience in prostitution and the mafia. A few examples
of these cultural differences can be given in describing some clients that I worked with. The first
individual with the most differences was an 60 year old African American, male lawyer who had
previous criminal convictions and was highly addicted to multiple substances. In this example, this
individual was different from me in every category except our religious backgrounds. He grew up in
poverty in a city setting and was able to claw his way out of that situation and was able to help others
who had a similar criminal history in his career as a judge. However, as his relationships with his ex
wife appeared his addiction came back. I enjoyed connecting with him despite our vast cultural
differences. Another individual, called Molly , was a woman I worked with on multiple occasions that
had experienced multiple levels of abuse. Molly was recently recovered from a sex trafficking ring by
police and was found with drugs in her position. She was sent to

that dietician doesn t have as much opportunity as nurses and Human Resource Managers. I have a
lack in few skills (critical thinking skills, detail oriented, emotional stability) to become a nurse or
dietician. I have all the necessary skills to become an HR such as decision making skills, leadership
skills, speaking skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills. Two of my career values are
helping others and to influence others. I believe all the careers had a value of helping others and
influencing others. Nurses help patients. Dietician helps clients to make informed food choices, about
the foods they eat. My most important need is work life balance and stability. Work life balance is
having a job that allows time for family and work. Stability is having a job that won t change over a
long period of time. This is important to me because I care spending time with my family and friends.
I want stability because I value staying in one facility longer than moving around to other facilities.

  • 3. Comparing The Soldier And Dulce Et Decorum Est Contrasting War Poems Essay The Soldier, by Rupert Brooke, and Dulce et Decorum Est, written by Wilfred Owen three years later, are both war poems, written by officers that fought on the trenches. However, the poems have very different attitudes to war: The Soldier supports the war and glorifies it, while Dulce et Decorum Est is anti war. In this essay I intend to explore the differences between the poems I will commence by talking about the religious ideas, which leads me on to the representation of death. After that I will talk about the naivety of the poet, and the poem s views on enlisting. Finally, I will talk about the structure of the poem, which gives a message about the author s views on the war. The two poems each present a very ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This reinforces the fact that Wilfred Owen was not naïve, because he knew what he was talking about, unlike Rupert Brook, who had no personal experience of dying as of when the poem was written. The next difference between the two poems is the encouragement of enlisting. Dulce et Decorum Est presents war as not a glorious thing, by dehumanising the soldiers, and calling them old beggars under sacks and hags . At the end of the poem, the poet goes on to say: ...My friend, you would not tell with such high zest To children ardent for some desperate glory... Here, the poem clearly presents its anti enlistment views, which makes it not patriotic, because the poem is not supporting the country. He goes further, quoting the first line of a famous poem written by the Roman poet Horace, Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori (which was well known and often quoted by supporters of the war), and calling it a lie ; this is emphasised by the use of a capital L. Rupert Brooke s poem, however, paints an extremely idealistic view of war, which is very patriotic; the poem mentions the word England or a derivative of it six times in the 14 line poem, and it is referred to constantly throughout the poem. Therefore The Soldier is pro enlistment, due to the amount patriotism in the poem, which encourages people to also be patriotic and do their duty to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. What Is The Tone Of The Confessions Of St. Augustine The Confessions of St. Augustine is a powerful book which combines an autobiography of the life of St. Augustine and his conversion from a life of sin to the Catholic faith, an apology to the ideas and beliefs of the Catholic Church, and a blending of Catholic philosophy with Platonic philosophy into one of the best writings of faith, on faith, and about faith by a Christian philosophy. Throughout the book, St. Augustine narrates his movement from a life of sin to a life of faithfulness through two different formats, the first part an autobiography of his life as a sinner and the second part his views on philosophy. What struck me the most in reading this book is the measured tone and the Christianity which St. Augustine displayed throughout ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Classroom Reflection Essay The classroom was a tall open square filled with around 35 student desks and one large set of desks in the front of the class. The front desks consisted of smaller desks which included a stand up desk that held a computer and a smaller but longer desk with a chair. Behind the front desks was as whiteboard wall that had a projector pointing towards the wall. All of the student s desks were scattered throughout the class and faced the whiteboard the room has a lot of space, but the number of desks in the room took up most of the walking space. The first student arrived at 5:52. Afterwards nine others join him, one by one. Two of the students began having a conversation while the others. The discussion between the students stopped shortly after Mrs. Keener arrived. Mrs. Keener walks in at 5:56 and greets me. She then makes her way to the front of the room and logs into the IPFW system. The students in the room stay quiet and focused on other things such as their phones and printed articles as I talk to Mrs. Keener. After she pulls up a power point from the projector the class begins right at 6:00. She begins with asking for students to get their writer s notebooks out and answer the question that was on the whiteboard: (When it comes to Literature Review versus Annotated Bibliography) Which do you do and why? What do you understand to be the difference between these two mediums. Please respond to this question in your writer s notebook. Keener also mentioned that she would be ... Apparently somewhere along the way some had stolen the truck and the cattle were released. Eventually the poison made it to the other side the border but not the way they intended it to. The first Database Management System was developed in the late 1960 s by two firms based on their network data model but in the early 1970 s a scientist of IBM introduced Relational database theory after six years IBM completed prototype on RDBMS (relational database management system). • 8. The Role Of Sin In Edgar Allen Poe s Poetry I do believe that Edgar Allen Poe illustrates a biblical view of sin throughout out his writings. He just shows multiple representations of sin in each writing he wrote. Edgar Allen Poe was a very interesting man who was very dark in many of his writings. He wrote many twisted stories throughout his life but he also had meaning behind each writing he wrote. In Poe s first assigned writing The Philosophy of Composition, he talks about all types of literary works and he describes evil when he refers to a little poem, which says, Prophet, said I, thing of evil! prophet still if bird or devil! By that heaven that bends above us by that God we both adore, Tell this soul with sorrow laden, if within the distant Aidenn, It shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels name Lenore Clasp a rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore. • 9. The Confederate Flag Essay The Confederate Flag On January 1992 the NAACP put in affect a boycott on South Carolina to pressure the state to remove the Confederate flag off of its Statehouse in Columbia. The boycott is what initially brought life to this issue. The NAACP s removal request is based on the fact that they, the anti flag groups, claim that the meaning of the Confederate flag is one of hate and discrimination. On the other hand, there are other groups that believe differently whom are called the pro flag groups. They claim that the Confederate flag is a sign of heritage and should stay on South Carolina s Statehouse. Anti flag articles are more likely to be found published in well known Liberal magazines, when credible pro flag articles were hard ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This viewpoint can be found in Eric Foner s article Rebel Yell which is published in a well known liberal magazine The Nation. Foner who is a historian believes that the main cause of the Civil War was the South s opposition to freeing slaves. He states that slavery was the big reason why the Civil War was started and that all of the other issues stemmed off of it. This view is shared among the anti flag supporters as seen in this quotation from another anti flag article. Try as we may to pretend that slavery wasn t a big issue as any other, the truth is, had the South been agreeable to the idea of ending slavery, then the civil war may very well have never happened (Amy par. 2). Foner then uses logos by explaining how the Declaration of the Immediate Causes of Secession shows evidence of this in its causes of secession. To understand what the flag now flying in Columbia represents, one need only read the Declaration of Immediate Causes of Secession, adopted by South Carolina secession convention in December 1860 (Foner par. 2). Foner gives some examples of the declaration being about slavery by quoting some things it stated, and one quotation out of the Declaration of Immediate Causes of Secession is about Lincoln being a man whose opinions and purposes are hostile to slavery (Foner par. 2). This quote proves that South Carolina was seceding because of Lincoln s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Yet, the advent of identity politic reform originates in the Fifties, a decade that saw the African American Civil Rights Movement start to gain momentum. On the heels of the Civil Rights movement, we also see the Women s Liberation Movement begin to gain steam, shortly thereafter followed by the Gay Liberation Movement. And as an offshoot of these reform movements, we observe the dawn of lesbian identity politics a movement very much its own amongst its predecessors. One sect would come to be coined the lavender menace of feminism a group of mostly Caucasian lesbians followed later by the black lesbian feminist group, The Combahee River Collective. ... Black feminists, such as those in the Combahee River Collective, experienced very similar discrimination in Civil Rights campaigns, especially groups like the Black Panthers. Just like Jay, many African American women were used as sexual remuneration to men who did good work within their organizations. This patriarchy, antithetic to the goals of feminism, was the undoubted enemy of both these lesbian organizations usurping it became one clear goal. The Combahee River Collective, though, did not feel separate from African American men concerning race, yet, felt doubly oppressed by white patriarchy. Understanding that they connected with black men racially, yet struggled with them sexually, almost supplements the idea that white men who controlled government and economy were the ultimate oppressor. They did not feel they were separate, but rather, just opposed to black men along patriarchal lines. Inversely, the Collective connected with white lesbians against patriarchy, but were subjected to hierarchy within feminism as well as lesbianism. The definition of a social group is two or more people who interact on a regular basis in routine ways and who share a common sense of membership and identity. A social group example would be classmates in one section of a class and an example of an aggregate would be New Yorkers riding the subway together. An aggregate is not a group but a collection of people who briefly share the same physical space but do not see themselves as belonging together. Over the summer, I auditioned to be part of a theatre company and was asked to join. The name of the company is called Complete Theatre Company and they do shows and have acting classes three days a week. I was recently part of their improvisation show Call My Dog . The people in the class range from ages eighteen to seventy five, normally in the Friday class, they are about 15 people that come, but it depends on the day. It differs week to week. A normal acting class is formatted by doing physical and vocal warm ups, having a keynote speaker where we talk about different aspects about the business of acting and then Annie goes around the room and asks us if we have a scene or a monologue to work on and if we do, we work on them and the class gives positive feedback. In some of the colonies, there were laws established so the importance of Christianity would be conserved. Other colonies were welcoming to different religions, and executed either limited or full tolerance for those religions. Unfortunately, colonies that were bigoted enough to damage fabrications of differing religious views or the belief itself existed. Throughout the British colonies, different laws based off of religious view were formed in order to preserve Christianity and drive away any religion that didn t praise God. In Pennsylvania, there was a law enacted by the founder of the province, William Penn, that denied anyone to practice any religion that didn t recognize God as creator of the world. If anyone was to disobey this law, they would molested or would be prejudiced for their conflicting practice. Additionally, the law stated if someone weren t to worship God, and showed it outside of their own home, they would be considered a disturber of peace, and would be punished appropriately. A similar law was ratified previously in the charter of Rhode Island, where someone could be disquieted, punished, and called in for questioning if they had an opposing opinion of religion. Introduction In the late sixteenth and the seventeenth century, new ideas and motives in arts, inspired by the past but concerned with new concepts, appeared. Building on a courtly love, some writers and poets attempted to discuss the nature of love by commenting on gender issues and sexuality (MacArthur, 1989). Thus, love conventions, based on a passion or an unrequited love, would change, challenging social norms and discussing male and female sexualities. On the one hand, the authors explore male sexualities and a desire for a woman. Phillip Sidney s narrator is a lustful, musing about his chosen woman, her body and a sexual intercourse. This male desire is given devious and egotistic connotations, because it overcomes reason, and becomes preoccupied with Stella s body. Stella, on the other hand, is personified Love and Virtue but that body grant to us (AS, sonnet 52.14). However, Astrophil remains lustful, and when he is denied her body, he views her as too too cruel (AS, sonnet 2.3 4), and becomes resentful. John Milton: Comus, A Mask presented at Ludlow Castle (1634) Milton s mask, presenting notions of chastity and a rampant sexuality, uses Comus, a devious character, to address the issue of physical desire. Comus, a passionate and sexual necromancer, captures the Lady, brings her to his pleasure palace, and attempts to seduce her through magic and a persuasion to be not coy (C, p.44). Similarly to Sidney s poet, Comus experiences a narcissistic temptation of a bodily pleasure, which makes him more emotional than his female victim. By using a phallic symbol, his wand, he enchants the Lady, and offers her food and drink to increase her appetite and her desire. Her serve the drink in a cup, symbolically representing a well of sexual pleasures. Thus, his idea of passion is of natural impulses, projected through the body rather than the mind. Each career will have a description of what they do, how they could become one, skills, salary, and more. Each career has a specific reason why I choose these three careers in particular. Reason why I choose Human Resource Manager is that I m currently pursuing Human Resource Development major at Northeastern Illinois University. My second career choice is Registered Nurse because nursing was my first major straight out of high school. Dietician is my third career choice because I always had a passion to learn about eating healthy. First career researched I will focus on is Human Resource Manager. Human Resource ... Realistically nurse and dietician wouldn t work out for me due to the amount of science classes that needs to be taken. I know from experience I m not able to be a nurse. I realize that dietician doesn t have as much opportunity as nurses and Human Resource Managers. I have a lack in few skills (critical thinking skills, detail oriented, emotional stability) to become a nurse or dietician. I have all the necessary skills to become an HR such as decision making skills, leadership skills, speaking skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills. Two of my career values are helping others and to influence others. I believe all the careers had a value of helping others and influencing others. Nurses help patients. Dietician helps clients to make informed food choices, about the foods they eat. My most important need is work life balance and stability. Work life balance is having a job that allows time for family and work. Stability is having a job that won t change over a long period of time. This is important to me because I care spending time with my family and friends. I want stability because I value staying in one facility longer than moving around to other facilities. My values can satisfy my needs and I feel happy when I get an opportunity helping others. All three careers ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
