The prompt discusses perspectives on death from two philosophers, Epicurus and Lucretius. Epicurus argues that death should not be feared because after death there is no experience of harm or pain, since the individual no longer exists. Lucretius takes a different approach, comparing nonexistence after death to the period of nonexistence before birth, which is not considered bad. Both philosophers conclude that death itself should not be feared if there is no afterlife. However, their arguments have limitations and do not definitively prove that death should not cause any fear or concern.

- More research is needed on the ecological and biological interactions of Bt genes before effective resistance management strategies can be developed.

Finance and Funding in United States Refugee Resettlement: A System Evaluation
The United States resettles thousands of refugees every year from all over the globe. Once a refugee
goes through an application process and is approved to be resettled in the United States, the
official process of resettlement can begin. How does the United States fund refugee resettlement?
Are the allocated funds being used in an effective way that allow for long term success of
individuals who have been resettled? These or common questions and concerns regarding US
refugee resettlement. This evaluation seeks to expose the reality of the financial and funding
process involved in the resettlement of refugees in the United States and explore ways in which it
could potentially be improved upon.
It is important to note that this study solely focuses on refugees and does not cover other migrant
populations such as asylum seekers. Both refugees and asylees are individuals who are unable or
unwilling to return to their country of origin or nationality because of persecution or a well
founded fear of persecution ( Refugees and Asylees in the United States ). The key difference
between the two populations is location and admission process to the United States. Refugees are

Conclusively, this biggest impact from this class was the enlightenment on how my stress is
going to kill me if I do not make immediate changes to my life. Moreover, week one was a reality
check for me seeing just what the effects of stress can do to an individual was beneficial in
recognizing I was exhibited some of the symptoms of stress related illnesses. Through the
reading material I remember thinking stress is doing unbelievable things physically and
mentally to me and I was oblivious. Thankfully, from this course I have learned and
implemented some valuable techniques that have been working for me thus far. First, from the
Wisdom of the Ages section, this was one of my favorite sections in the text; I learned how to
utilize the decompression chamber technique (Manning, Curtis, McMillen Attenweiler, 2011).
With my horrendous history of carrying work stress home and vice versa, this technique has
allowed me to use the three R concepts, which are reviewing the previous events, rehearsing for
impending activities and relaxing (Manning et al., 2011). Successfully, using my drive time in
my vehicle to mentally unwind and relax between has helped me tremendously. In addition,
being on the verge of burnout, taking time to escape for a while has been advantageous in my
life (Manning et al., 2011). Since I started taking walks at break time at work or when I feel my
stress rising and when I am overwhelmed at home I have been giving myself a cooling off period to

A study concerned with the possible connections between children s behavior and reading banned
books focused on the potential influence that such books have on civic behaviors, mental health
problems, students grade point averages, and violent and non violent crime. Findings suggest that
consumption of banned books promoted civic behavior and had no effect on grade point
averages and criminal activity, but increased the internalizing and externalizing mental health
symptoms. The potential correlation between increased symptoms of mental health issues and
banned book reading existed within a small subset of the subjects and cannot be proven to be
substantial. Overall, banned books seem to have little to no negative effect on the majority of
children and foster increased civic behaviors (Ferguson). While the motivation behind banning
books seems logical and justified, in reality, books have no substantial negative effects on most
children. In all actuality, banned books foster increased positive, civic behaviors, likely because
they teach children tolerance by exposing them to diverse characters and humanizes groups
whose lifestyle choices they may be unfamiliar and innately uncomfortable with. The Perks of
Being a Wallflower exposes students to multiple incarnations of homosexual characters Patrick, a
strong and proud gay teen who is loved by friends and family regardless of his sexual preference,
as well as Brad Patrick s partner who is uncomfortable with his sexual preference, does not come
out to friends or family, and is ashamed when his father discovers that he is a homosexual.

humidity. Child and adult alike gathered together in search of whatever reprieve could be found,
sticking to refreshing water and cool shade. Some chose a more adventurous method to escape
the oppressive weather, taking to the water park and aquarium. Occasionally Zaileys father

performance deficits. The hypothesis is that these beliefs lead to suboptimal performance on tasks
specific to the stereotype(Stoet 94). Stereotype threat leads to a large gap between privileged, un
stereotyped groups and affected groups in society with regards to jobs, education, and social
interactions. This gap comes from stereotyped groups feeling they need to act in the way society
tells them to, creating societal chains on these groups, essentially an unstated law telling them what
they can and cannot do. This is because stereotype threat causes groups to identify with what
society provides their status to be Experiments show commonly stereotyped groups perform worse
on intellectual tests they are told their group generally does bad on. Therefore, commonly
stereotyped groups suffer from the stereotype threat on intellectual tests.
The planting of an idea in someone s mind can lead to that idea blooming into reality. When
someone is susceptible to being influenced by society s standards, it shows in how they handle
everyday activities. Davis hypothesized that if African Americanstudents were race primed ,

10. Outsourcing, The Corporate Buzzword Of The Nineteen...
This issue facing my organization is outsourcing. Outsourcing, the corporate buzzword of the
nineteen nineties through today, is a popular business approach utilized by companies focused on
lowering their cost structure, gain entrance to new markets, and expand and build capabilities.
Defined as, the strategic use of outside resources to perform activities traditionally handled by
internal staff and resources [Handfleld, R, 2006]. Initially, outsourcing targeted non critical and non
core activities such as facility maintenance and cleaning and security. Later the industry focus began
to include the core processes of manufacturing, logistics, and back office support functions. In my
experience, the term outsourcing strikes fear into the minds of employees and managers and
represents dollar signs to executives and investors. Open communication during change is critical
and to eliminate disconnects and misunderstandings. The objective of this paper is to describe both
sides, delve into the communication middle ground, and expose the avoidable hidden coststhat exist
and provide possible solutions to reduce or avoid these hidden costs in value, human capital, and
knowledge. The origins of many outsourcing endeavors begin as part of a strategic planningsession
during a period of lean years for a company or anticipation of a prolonged impending down cycle.
This is a time period when the organization does not have a viable competitive product to offer in
the market or the

11. Discussion Test Lab Report
Discussion
The expected result from this experiment, was that the plates containing plasmid DNA, GFP, and
IPTG would grow and exhibit a florescent glow. All the plates containing plasmid DNA would
grow and those that contained no plasmid would not grow. The plasmid DNA is able to be
absorbed only if the bacteria is competent, which is a result of the heat shock (Bacteria
Transformation and Selection, 2017). The head shock opens the pores of the membrane allowing
the passage of plasma. Super coiled plasma is easier to be absorbed into the bacteria versus linear
plasma (Bacteria Transformation and Selection, 2017). These expected results were correct for the
plates containing the plasmid DNA. The results deviated for the plates that contained no ampicillin
and no DNA plasmid. These ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This was seen in both trial A and B, where the plates exhibited no growth (Table 1, Table 2). The
lack of plasmid in the presence of the ampicillin, makes the growth of bacteria impossible
because the ampicillin destroyed the E. coli cells by breaking down their cell walls (How do
Antibiotics..., 2006). The bacteria had no added substance which would make them resistant to
the ampicillin (Edvotek, 2014). Since no growth occurred on either plate, the transformation
efficiency was unable to be evaluated (Table 1, table 2). This plate was used as a control to show
that without ampicillin bacteria would not be able to grow without plasmid DNA. This plate can
be used to specifically compare against the plate that contained ampicillin and plasmid DNA. By
comparing these two plates, one can see the growth that was able to occur in the plates that
contained the plasmid DNA versus the plate that contained no plasmid DNA. In trial A, these two
plates cannot be compared because both plates lacked growth (Table 1). In trial B they can be
compared because the plate containing the plasmid DNA was able to grow (Table

12. Geospiza Filiginosa Hypothesis
On his visit to Galapagos Island, Charles Darwin discovered several species of birds. Upon his
arrival in England, he discovered that the birds were actually the same species. Although they
possessed certain similar characteristics the birds each had unique morphological qualities that
made them differ from one another. This inspired his famous evolutiontheory, which is now a
biological fact due to the enormous evidence supporting the theory.
Famous scientists, like Rosemary Grant and her husband, made so many important discoveries on
their work on the finches in Galapagos, which explained how selection can be an agent of
evolutionary changes (Grant Grant 2006). The type of species that are being investigated is the

large amounts of food to go with them. For nearly $2000 dollars, fishing poles and crossbows or
other equipment to help hunt or grow food can be provided. Each researcher will be provided

Section D
i. Draw a labelled diagram of the skin and describe it s structure and function, include all key
parts. *please see within brief for labelled diagram of the skin. Structure of the skin: The skin is
the largest organ in the body. It covers the whole body and is water resistant. There are two main
layers: the epidermis and the dermis. The epidermis is the outside layer that of which we can see.
It varies in thickness depending on where it is located on the body, eg.it is thickest on the soles of
the feet and palms of the hand; thinnest on eyelids and nipples. Desquamation constantly occurs,
meaning the cells on the surface of the epidermis are shedding constantly. They are also constantly

Cells are living. It is this layer that cells are made. They take about 28 30 days to move up from
here through the five layers of the epidermis before being shed.
This layer contains a pigment known as melanin. This pigment gives the skin its natural colour,
whehter red, yellow or black. Melanocytes are the cells that produce melanin.
*Section D i. continued
The dermis layer is connected to the blood and lymph supply as well as the nerves, unlike the
epidermis layer. The dermis contains sweat and sebaceous glands, hair follicles and many living
cells.
It is made of connective tissue, mainly areolar tissue which is tough and elastic, and contains white
collagen fibrous connective tissue and yellow elactic connective tissue otherwise known as elastin.
Collagen plumps the skin and elastin keeps it supple and elastic. Both of which diminish with age.
The dermis contains eight main types of structure:
1)Specialised cells
Fibroblasts: responsible for the production of areolar tissue, collagen and elastin. Fibroblasts can be
damaged by ultraviolet light.
Mast cells: produce histamine as an allergic response and heparin, an anti coagulant.

Perfect Pitching Under Pressure There are two outs in the bottom of the ninth of the World Series;
the team in the field is up by one and the best hitter is coming up the plate. The pitcher takes a deep
breath and realizes what had to be done. Three strikes and the game was over, but that seemed an
eternity away with the overwhelming pressure mounting. How could the pitchermove past the
pressure and get the last out? The answer would more than likely surprise most people. It is
common knowledge that the pitcher must physically be in the right positions to throw a strike, but
it is quite the opposite for the mental side of pitching. The mental aspect plays a much larger factor
than most people would presume and in reality, it is just as important... Show more content on

It is surprisingly common for a pitcher who is having problems outside the sport that would
affect their mental health to see a decrease in their in sport performance. In her article on
PsychologyToday.com, Laura Miele says in general Negative external or internal psychological
factors can lead to mental blocks, causing breaks in focus and preparation, poor performance
and, at times, injuries to the athlete. The most basic example of this would be some non sport
related activity or interaction that would distract the pitcher during play. As stated earlier in the
essay, focus on throwing strikes is of paramount importance in order to be successful and any
activity or interaction that would take that focus away would be a distraction that would affect
performance. In addition, an overall feeling of depression would greatly affect a pitchers well
being in and outside of the sport. As was also stated earlier, pitchers must have confidence in
themselves and their ability and depression is in one faced a lowered self confidence. Depression
and anxiety commonly go hand in hand and together or alone they can greatly influence sport
performance. One example of a baseball player who faced depression and saw a drastic change in
performance is Joey Votto, first basemen for the Cincinnati Reds. He said in an interview with
Bleacher Report during the 2009 season The stuff I was dealing with off the field finally seeped
its way into the game. After taking time off from the game and getting his personal life in order,
he came back to win the NL MVP, the most valuable player award, the next year. It is very
uncommon to think of the impact that psychological problems can have on finding success in
pressure situations, but the evidence shows that the connection is clear and players and coaches

You turn on CNN and begin catching up on the latest news on a recent shooting. You hear them
blaming certain ethnic groups for being behind this tragic shooting. Although they do not know
the person that did it, their first instinct is to place the blame on them. Throughout history, there
have been multiple ways that every culture has used a type of a scapegoat. Scapegoat: a person
who is blamed for the wrongdoings, mistakes, or faults of others, especially for reasons of
expediency. In Arthur Miller s The Crucible, the use of a scapegoat was the blaming of women
in Salem, Massachusetts for being a witch or worshipping the Devil. In the book, there were
numerous girls accused, a few men, and multiple deaths. There were thirty three deaths total,
one man, Giles Corey. Nineteen were hanged, and thirteen died while serving time in prison. All
of these deaths were the causes of the scapegoat. They were falsely accused of witchcraft when
there was no proof that they performed these acts. Scapegoats were used because the people of
Salem were terror stricken, in today s society, there are multiple forms of scapegoats: rape,
Middle Eastern people, and WWII that people use due to trepidation. In the recent Twittersphere,

countries all had very diverse ways of colonizing. But, altogether most of the Europeans had a

They were hoping to find a passage to Asia. French claims began in 1534 because of Jacques
Cartier, but like the English they were slow to colonize. European wars, conflict the the Roman
Catholic Church were both large reasons why French colonization did not happen sooner.
Eventually, Samuel Champlain established the first French colonization on the St. Lawrence
river in 1608. In 1673 Louis Jolliet and Father Jacques explored the Mississippi river, and in
1682 Robert de La sale explored the Mississippi Basin. Unlike the English and Spanish the
French viewed Indians as military and economic allies. They built trading posts throughout the
St.Lawrence valley and the coast of the Mississippi river, where they exchanged French trade
with pelts and fur collected by Indians. The French were not as large as the English and Spanish
so they did not pose a large threat to the natives. Altogether, these three European Countries
changed the world forever. Europe s population grew and there was a shift from feudalism to
capitalism. For the Natives and Africans colonization was much more negative. Diseases killed
many Indians, but Horses and Guns brought from Europe transformed their hunting and warfare.

The flapper subculture originated in the 1920 s in the United States. The flapper way of life was
looked down upon until popularized in movies and literature, such as the work of F. Scott

the background of the subculture. This way of life was a reaction to the United States after World

to the changing dynamics of men and women roles, something set in motion by World War I, the
emergence of Jazz and Prohibition.

24. Emerging From The Global Recession Of 1973-1975
Emerging from the global recession of 1973 1975, the resulting surge of neoliberalism transformed
the global economy into a secularized faith that draws on anxiety and responsibility for sustenance.
Debt answers to anxiety and allows for a greater participation in the economy, subsequently, debtors
become shackled to their indebtedness, which evolves into a continuous moral burden. The
relationship between credit and debthas developed into a necessary technique of governВment under
neoliberal regimes, as a means of securing order in an era that has seen a rapid growth of poverty
and inequality. Consequently, the conversion from Keynesianism to Neoliberalismrequired five
compulsory reforms: one, rollback of the welfare state to eliminate social safety nets, two, an attack
on the power of organized labor to stagnate wages, three, precarization of labor markets to incite
occupational anxiety, four, financialization of the economy to exacerbate income inequality and
finally fifth, exponential expansion of debt, which restrains debtors and holds the system together.
Therefore, Neoliberalism reorganized Keynesian capitalismto secure hegemony of finance capital, a
project of the wealth owning classes to reverse the impediments they had encountered during the era
of Keynesian social welfare.

Augustine, with Jesus as its head and us as the body, shows an intimacy between the Head and
the body leading us to mystical union with Christ. Continuing, Augustine insists not only will
Christ make us one in Him, but one person, and that the church s structure reflects not a series of
individuals but a unity speaking as one. St Gregory demonstrates this in his expositions on the
Psalms, Psalm 60, The psalm, he says, speaks as though one single person is praying. But it is
not a lone individual; it is a unity speaking as one. In Christ, He molds us into one person whose
head is in heaven and whose limbs are toiling on earth. Gregory the Great echoes Augustine s
usage of the word person in the same way. He says, Our redeemer has shown himself to be one
person with the holy Church, whom he has taken to himself. Hence, one can conclude that as
members united with Christ as the body to the head, Christ transfigured us into his selfless gift of
love. Throughout scripture the imagery depicting a bridegroom s love for his spouse helps to

30. Portrayal Of Women In Frankenstein
Mary Shelley s Frankenstein is one of the most iconic classic works of fiction from the nineteenth
century. Frankenstein tells the tale of Victor Frankenstein s creation of a living monster. Contrary to
popular belief, the monster was not given a name by Frankenstein and is only referred to as the
monster throughout the story. While it may seem like a simple, classic horror story on the surface,
when analyzed more closely, Frankensteinreveals not only many mythological and religious
references, but details about Shelley s life in the nineteenth century. In Anne K. Mellor s critical
analysis titled Possessing Nature: The Female in Frankenstein , Mellor analyzes the role of the
female in a patriarchal society.
Mellor first points out ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When the Victor Frankenstein was vacationing in the mountains, he encounters the monster who
then proceeds to tell Victor his life story and admits to the murder of Victor s brother, William
Frankenstein. The monster then makes his case to Victor convince his creator to create a female
companion for him. At first Victor refuses, but is eventually persuaded. He starts work on a
female companion for the monster, but ultimately stops and destroys his creation. This begs the
question of why? . Mellor asks the question of What does Victor Frankenstein truly fears? (Mellor
407). Mellor asserts that Victor Frankenstein is afraid of an independent female will (Mellor 407).
She also states that Victor fears that the female monster would be ten thousand times more evil and
feared that the male monster would reject the female monster and that the female monster would
be attracted to other human males. Essentially, Mellor is proclaiming that Victor Frankenstein
fears that his male monster would not be able to control the thoughts and opinions of the female
monster. Lastly, Mellor argues that Victor is fearful of the female monster s reproductive power
when Victor says even if they were to leave Europe, and inhabit the deserts of the new world, yet
one of the first results of those sympathies for which the dæmon thirsted would be children, and a

32. A Comparison Of IQ Tests And The Stanford Binet Test
By definition, intelligence is the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills. It is
determined by the ways we are able to solve problems, our mathematical skills, interpersonal and
intrapersonal knowledge, and naturalist intelligence. We are able to test our personal intelligent
through many different quizzes called IQ tests. One of the most popular ones being the
Stanford Binet tests, which is used as a good resource to test the intelligence of students.
However, it is questionable whether or not IQ tests are very accurate. The two IQ tests that I
took for this paper was a Stanford Binet Test, and a test from a website called Memorado. Each
test took me approximately 10 15 minutes to complete in its entirety. Comparing the two tests, I
saw a lot more similarities than I did differences. The Binet test was a set of 30 questions which
assessed verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, as well as abstract reasoning. The areas were
depicted in questions such as mathematical problems, word problems, and even problems that had
a set of letters that I was instructed to make out an English word from them. The Memorado test
was very similar, however it tested more questions about relationships between objects, and
mathematical problems regarding what number came after the last in a tricky sequence. Regardless
of the few differences in question structure, both tests seemed to be looking at the areas of
mathematics, problem solving skills, and our ability to see

My Papa s Waltz In this poem, the poet portrays the memory of his father negatively. The father
is dominating and over controlling his son into dancing the waltz, much to his discomfort. He

to oppression by his father. The poem reveals to the reader of an oppressive father who has to

As a second time applicant, I have gained experience working in both general dentistry and in
specialty dental practices. Working part time alongside a general dentist gave me the opportunity
to do dental charting, prepare instruments, and provide instructions and advice on brushing and
flossing techniques to patients. I have since developed a habit of taking detailed notes and
drawings of the surgery in my own journal to reinforce my learning. At the office, I noticed that a
lot of patients walk into the office with pain that even interrupts their daily lives. In many of the
cases, the handiwork of a dentist provided the patients immediate help by relieving them from pain.
My observations and experiences working in a dental office have taught me these rewarding
moments, which have solidified my goal to become a dentist.
Furthermore, I explored many specialty practices, such as oral surgery, periodontics, and
endodontics, which allowed me to observe many different courses of treatment. Luckily, this

And finally Ethical issues, which is the most important from my point of view. This is the part were

40. Don Delillo s White Noise
Why is naming things so hard for humans to do? Why does it matter? What difference does a name
make? These are all questions raised in Don DeLillo s White Noise. This novel teaches how to deal
with these uncertainties in many different ways. This postmodern take on the human race and their
reality of the world discusses why the naming of things has such a high impact. DeLillo suggests
this matters because it all comes back to simulacrum, perspective, and questions the reality of these
things due to all the different perspectives. The truth is reality does not change, reality stays the
same; it is simply perspective. Ultimately White Noise allows readers to ponder on the problem of
naming and evaluate solutions to the world of uncertainty. DeLillo uses this postmodern setting to
argue that the problem is not the name of something, it is how the name effects people s
perspective and reminds them that despite the name there is no access to the absolute truth. These
given titles and names engender a certain aura and disposition for themselves that cause either
excitement or disappointment. In Chapter two Jack and Murray travel to visit a tourist attraction
known as the most photographed barn in America (12). Neither had ever visited here before, but

42. Racism In Master Harold And The Boys, By Athol Fugard
Master Harold ...and the Boys, by Athol Fugard takes place in the apartheid regime of South
Africa. The main theme in the play is racism, and the characters Hally, Sam and Willy confront its
realities in various ways throughout the play. Fugard uses symbolism as a way to explore racial
tensions. He uses four key symbols to establish the themes of racismand division as well as hope,
freedom and harmony. These include the meaning of the segregated bench, the flying kite, the
ballroom dancing and the crippled father.
Hally s favorite memory as a young boy is flying a kite with Sam in the park. Flying the kite
symbolizes overcoming racial barriers between black and white people. Sam makes the kite for
Hally to help him overcome his sense of shame because of his father s drunkenness. The kite is
made from tomato box wood and brown paper, flour and water for glue. Two of [his] mother s
old stocking for a tail and pieces of string. (Fugard 29) At first Hally is suspicious and had no
hopes for it [...] In fact [he] was shit scared [they] were going to make fools of [themselves].
(Fugard 29) Taking the step to be a white person who disagrees with racism takes a lot of
determination and guts. In order for Hally to treat Sam as an equal he has to rise above the shame.
The kite represents black and white people working together and being equal. They are flying the
kite together, and while doing this they are on the same level. It is also significant that the kite flies

43. Life Of Pi And Heart Of Darkness
If one was let go from society for a few days would he/she be able to keep with their morals? And
once one came back from being isolated would they be the same? Self identity is a state of mind
in which individuals recognize qualities about themselves that set them apart from other people.
Self identity is usually expressed in novels for the reader to relate to the characters and their
emotions. Life of Pi by Ang Lee and Heart of Darknessby Joseph Conradare two books that depict
Self identity. Both characters face challenges as they want to fit in with society, but once they are
isolated both realize they need to be themselves, and not what others say. The faith and the
journeys Marlow and Pi hold changed their identities for the better or in Marlow s case, the worse.
Faith is the sum and substance of life. Without faith, humans cannot achieve anything. If one
was to observe all the greatest idea s carried out in this world, one would find faith was the sole
purpose. Look at Pi from Life of Pi, he was first enlightened by Hinduism; however, he discovers
many more religions as he gets older. He becomes enlightened by Christianity and Islam. Pi s
religious curiosity creates anxiety in his family. It was tough for them to grasp why he practiced
various religions. However, this did not stop Pi from staying faithful. This faith is put to test when
he spends over 200 days stranded on a lifeboat in the Pacific Ocean with an orangutan, a zebra, a

In the globalized world, social media has becoming increasingly (Madden Zickuhr, 2009). The
social media applications have dominated the way people interact with each other, it also
impacts on the way we do business in comparison with that in the last decade. The question
should be mentioned firstly what is social media? There are some ways to define the term social
media; however, in general, this is considered as a place where meets the demand for social
interaction by using technological advancements such as web based technology (Constantinides,
2014; Kaplan Haenlein, 2010; Safko Brake, 2009). Similarity, Tuten and Solomon (2013) also
defined social media as the online means of communication, conveyance, collaboration, and
cultivation among interconnected and interdependent networks of people, communities, and
organizations enhanced by technological capacities and mobility . There are some types of
social media and there is no definitive typology of different types of social media (Kaplan and
Haenlein, 2010); nevertheless, it can differentiate towards social networking (e.g. Facebook),
professional networking (e.g. LinkedIn), video sharing (e.g. you tube) and so on. From these meta
analysis, it also cannot be denied that nowadays, social media plays a key role in giving the

48. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Search Engine Marketing...
You have a beautiful website up and running, and now you need to get it in front of people who
are interested in what you have to offer. The two big ways of doing this are search engine
marketing (SEM) and search engine optimization (SEO). They both have some advantages and
disadvantages.
Defining our terms is typically a good place to start. Some see SEO as being one element within
SEM, which can include other elements such as paid search marketing. Lately, many see a clearer
distinction between the two. Search engine optimization is the process of optimizing all the
elements on your website and between your website and other sites in order to increase its rank in
what s known as the organic search results. When discussing search engine marketing, digital
marketing professionals are typically referring to the process of engaging in paid advertising on the
search engines.
Search Engine Optimization
Search engine optimization is basically any action you do to your website that gets the search
engines to consider it to be a relevant search result to display when someone types in a search
term in Google, Bing or any other search engine. These actions, therefore, include optimizing the
meta data and content of your website for these keywords. Google also highly regards factors such
as fast webpage loading speeds, mobile friendly websites and the time a visitor spends on your
website. This last factor is why content marketing is important. Many of the latest Google algorithm

Teacher, he said, what must I do to inherit eternal life?
The lawyer here is not the same sort of lawyer we know of in our society today. Leon Morris

summarize and conclude the memorandum. 2.Results and Description During the DC motor
experiment, the weight trough was observed to sway side to side when ascending. On occasion,
the weights would swing into the table and require the test to be run again. The stepper motor
was observed to not always point exactly at one of the designated angles (angles measuring 0, 45,
90, 135 etc.). Results were gathered three different types of motors; a DC motor, servo motor, and
a stepper motor. Table 1 displays the results for the DC motor experiment The number of weights

51. Celtic Tides Book Review
Celtic Tides: Traditional Music in a New Age The ethnography that I choose to read was titled
Celtic Tides: Traditional Music in a New Age by Martin Melhuish. The book is written from the
perspective of Melhuish as he talks about places he has been and memories that he had from
growing up in Ireland. Celtic music has seen a huge rise in popularity worldwide over the past
century due to mass media and spectacular musicians that brought it into the public spotlight.
Melhuish s goal was to find out, what is the Celtic thing ? Why does it touch our hearts and give us
vivid images of times long past? The author begins the book by investigating Celtic music in the
most unlikely place, the country capital of the United States Nashville, Tennessee.... Show more

The author notes that his has a particular connection with the Celtic lore; he was born in a Celtic
corner of England. He explains that the mythology was everywhere, From a bedroom window, I
could see St. Michael s Mount, the home of the giant slain by Jack, rising out of Mount s bay.
Beyond, lay the Lost Land of Lyonesse of Celtic Arthurian legend, where the lovers Tristan and
Iseult drank the potion that would bind them forever to each other and where Arthur himself
would ride to the hunt through a forest long ago buried by a restless sea. To understand the roots
of Celtic music and why it has survived throughout the ages and its current widespread appeal,
you need to go back to go back to pre history. The stereotypical image of the Celts was tall,
fearless warriors with big hair and walrus mustaches who would charge naked and howling into
battle, beating rhythmically on their shields. This tactic led to the Celts to being able to march
unchallenged into Rome. News of their approach led many frightened villages to flee at news of
their approach. The Celts had no overarching political structure, there was no empire they were just
clusters of warlike tribes loosely sound by similar languages and a culture dominated by the
influential and widely constellated Druids. The Druids were priests, philosophers, orators, scholars,
natural scientists, judges, and bards or poets.

52. Jeremy Passion 32 Poem
Jeremy Passion s 32 is a song about love and gratitude, and after listening to it, I feel thankful and
blessed. The piece opens with a relaxing acoustic, four measure introduction that soothes the mind
and provides its audience with a calm atmosphere. In the first two measures, the guitar strums a
three chord progression, and the progression repeats itself. In this repeated phrase, an electric
keyboard joins the guitarto finish the introduction, bringing us into the first line where Jeremy
Passion s soft voice sings of a special type of love maternal love. As I continue listening to 32, the
song builds on its combination of instruments now with the soft strum of an electric guitarblended
with the keyboard and acoustic guitar and increases

53. Coriolanus And Cressida Essay
Chris Baldick defines rhetoric as the deliberate exploitation of eloquence for the most persuasive
effect . This is certainly seen at work in Coriolanus and Troilus and Cressida, two Jacobean
dramas with war and politics at their centre. In both plays, characters attempt to employ rhetoric as
a persuasive tool for political ends. In Troilus and Cressida, Ulysses aims to use rhetoricand political
machinations to mobilise a war weary army. On the other hand, Coriolanus s reluctance to use, and
dislike of, rhetoric, results in further social disruption and war. Though rhetoric may be considered
an unethical tool of manipulation, it is nonetheless useful for maintaining social order in these
plays, where war threatens to throw society... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

it should be performed in order to adhere to custom and maintain social

54. Analysis Of No Witchcraft For Sale By Doris Lessing
Can t Trust Anyone
(An analysis of No Witchcraft For Sale by Doris Lessing and it s 3 messages) Racism is the main
culprit for fighting among not only American citizens, but those in foreign countries. The issue has
progressed but still has a great deal of improving to do. In recent years and months many have
begun take stands against racism and the unfair ways they have been treated. Doris Lessing wrote
novels and short stories that challenged the mainstream beliefs of those in Southern Africa and
England. Mariam Berkley, a biographer explained, Lessing s life has been a challenge to her belief
that people cannot resist the currents of their time, as she fought against the biological and cultural
imperatives. Her literature was very controversial because the topics she discussed brought in many
different perspectives to problems in society. Her thoughts mainly tie in with racism and sexism. In
Lessing s No Witchcraft for Sale she explains the messages of white people having control over
blacks, the selflessness of the slave, and ways to deal with peer pressure. In No Witchcraft for
Sale Doris Lessing explains the message of white people having complete control over blacks in
what they are and are not able to do. In the early 1900s it was not uncommon to see blacks owned
by whites. Blacks inability to get an education, live on their own, and get a job prohibit them
from being able to be independent. Many had the desire to become educated, but were never
able to do because of the time period. This is still a problem today, whites thinking they are
somehow above blacks. Blogger Karen Fleshman explains her observations about race by
posting, Americans are not at all on the same page when it comes to race. It is obvious that
things have improved, but there is still a long way to go before racism will ever solved; if that is
ever accomplished. Throughout No Witchcraft for Sale, Lessing uses the influence of the parents
on the children. Teddy Farquar played with the servants son and referred to him laughingly saying,
He s only a black boy, (line 49). Even at the young age as both of these children they had already
been taught the difference in skin color and what that meant. This idea bothered Lessing and

55. Miranda V. Arizona Case
Introduction The United States Constitution is the framework of our legal system. It provides its
citizens undeniable rights, and federal and state substantive and procedural laws must be obeyed
while not conflicting with the citizens rights in the Constitution. Among these rights are the 5th
and 6th amendments. The 5th amendment states that a person has the right to a grand jury and
cannot be tried twice for the same crime. The 5th amendment further states that person cannot be
the witness of his/her own crime (U.S. Const. Amend. V). The 6th amendment is related to the
rights of criminal defendants. The 6th amendment guarantees criminal defendants with the right to
a public trial, the right to a lawyer, and the right to know the charges and evidence against them
(U.S. Const. Amend. VI). The case, Miranda v. Arizona (1996), changed the course of history by
determining appropriate police conduct. This appropriate police conduct has been set as the norm,
which is still being used today. This process is referred to as reading the arrested their Miranda

Arizona. These cases, which are Mapp v. Ohio (1961), Gideon v. Wainweight (1963), and

establishing the proper conduct for law enforcement and criminal justice
