Raphael
Raphael, and The Stanza Della Segnatura
Raphael Sanzio was one of the most important artists of the Italian Renaissance. Raphael painted
and designed many brilliant pieces of work and the stanzas inside the Vatican. He was a master at
such necessities of modern art such as depth and perspective and the use of light and shadow, and
was the turning point styles of paintings like the use of Madonnas in paintings. Through his short
life, Raphael would make some of the most awe inspiring, beautiful, and influential works of art
during the Italian Renaissance.
Raphael whose full name was Raphael Sanzio, (also known as Raphael Sanzi), was born on April
6th, 1483. He was born in the town of Urbino, Italy, where he would spend his childhood ... Show

Madonna of the Goldfinch was made in 1506, and does show a very human Mary. In Italian,
Madonna of the Goldfinch is Madonna del Cardellino. In that painting, Mary is shown holding St.
John, and St. John is holding a tiny bird for Jesus Christ, whom is an infant in that painting.
Leonardo s painting, The Virgin of the Rocks, probably influences Madonna of the Goldfinch for
the faces and figures are very similar. In Madonna of the Goldfinch and a few other paintings
Raphael made, he experimented with Leonardo s immense use of shade, but would always return to
the lighter tones that Perugino had taught him.
In 1508, at the age of 24, Pope Julius II invited Raphael to the Vatican. Raphael was summoned
to the Vatican to paint things like stanzas, and was probably recommended to the pope by
Domato Bramante, an architect. He was immediately well liked by the pope and everyone else at
the Vatican due to his personality; Raphael was a nice, gentle, and sensitive individual. As Giorgio
Vasari once said about Raphael, Raphael was so gentle and so charitable that even animals loved
him, not to speak of men. (Ruskin, p. 132)
In order for Raphael to paint stanzas Pope Julius II ordered some old frescoes to be washed away
from the Vatican walls. Although he made many stanzas, he only painted one stanza: the Stanza
Della Segnatura. In the other stanzas that

Black Students And Education Inequality
Education inequality continues as more than 140,000 students, predominantly black students, were
kept back in kindergarten in 2012. Black students are more likely to be held back, despite research
showing that holding back children does not benefit them socially or academically. Retention rates
for students increase when they come into their first year of high school. While 12 percent of black
students are held back in ninth grade, the equivalent is just 4 percent of white students (Cook).
African American students are also more likely to drop out before earning a high schooldiploma.
Even when it comes to discipline, Caucasians receive different treatment. Black students are
suspended and expelled at a rate three times higher than white... Show more content on

It is time to take action in order to relieve African American citizens of strife placed upon them
by way of inequality. There have been solutions stated to solve the given problems of lower
education, substandard housing, and disproportionate payment of the African American race as
compared, mainly, to the Caucasian race. As a way to combat lower education, it is
recommended that schools become more diverse, as opposed to always being predominantly one
race. Schools should be integrated with students of all economical and racial backgrounds, as
well as teachers being diverse for students to have an authority figure to which they may relate.
Not only do African Americans of low income need aid in a school setting, but they also need
some aid in the home setting. Many African Americans are living in poverty and to contest the
poverty that may later result in constant disciplinary action or even so far as dropping out of
school, it would be useful for the government and school system to provide more assistance.
Schools should implement extended time meant for unprivileged students to complete schoolwork,
as well as the school board paying for supplies for said students, as the students are not able to
afford them themselves. Finally, African American employees are nont granted the same pay as
their differently raced counterparts. This may be counteracted by the Paycheck,

Essay about The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo
The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo
The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1948 would have lasting negative effects on Mexican
Americans. The Treaty was signed after America had won the Mexican American war. America
gained possession of the southwest states that had been part of Mexico for the price of around
eighteen million dollars. In Article IX of the Treaty, it states that the Mexicans shall be maintained
and protected in the free enjoyment of their liberty and property, and secured in the free exercise of
their religion without restriction (Vargas 139). And as Rachel Rivera points out Article VII
promised the Mexicans the right to keep their land which previously belonged to Mexico. However,
the Treaty would not grant the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
recaptures the growth of a movement for Mexican Americans. According to the film, the word
Chicano was used because of its meaning poorest of the poor. Before the movement because
nationally known, it had to have a leader. Reies Lopez Tijerina led the beginning of the
movement. Tijerina raised questions of Spanish and Mexican land grants. Tijerina fought to
uphold the Mexican American rights protected by the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. Tijerina
opposed the government for confiscating the Mexican American land illegally. In an open letter
from 1969 he writes from the Sante Fe jail. He compares the Mexican struggle with the black
struggle in America. The black Civil Rights movement of the sixties would help open the door for
other causes, such as the Chicano movement. In the movie Chicano! the blacks led by Martin
Luther King Jr., and the Chicano movement led by Corky Gonzalez plan for a poor people march
on the capital in Washington D.C. However, Dr. King was shot weeks before the planned march.
Without King s leadership the movement did not have the same effect. The different ethnic groups
could not organize as well as they could behind King s strong words. The movement would have
had positive effects on the rest of America. Unfortunately, as stated in the film, they never could get
it together.
The social awareness of the 1960 s was in part successful because of the youth. The Chicano
movement and many organizations began to grow in high schools

Employee Compensation Package For Employees
Expatriate employees would include the C.E.O. The compensation packages will be done
differently than what the local hires would be. The base salary will include a minimum of 5
years of experience and offer a salary of 120,000 Rubles. Salaries may vary depending on the actual
number of years of experience. It will be maxed out at 350,000 Rubles. According to Coleman
services article on expatriatecompensation packages, These expenses include, but are not limited
to, relocation and living allowance, country risk payments, complete medical and travel insurance
for all family members, corporate cars (often with personal drivers), total coverage of apartment
costs etc. Add to these a foreigner status with all inherent visa proceedings, and you ll get a very
costly asset. 1
Compensation packages for the local hires will not require such high benefits, however, there salary
would be a little higher due to not including all the benefits of living and relocation. According to
pravada.ru the average Russian needs to make 20,000 30,000 a month to be able to live
comfortably2. It is recommended that basing it off this average would be a good idea due to
increasing economy and skilled labor, in which we need. The minimum wage of Moscow requires
the pay of 15,000 Rubles a month. Contract of employment will include the working and rest time

Csi Miami vs Csi Real Life
For this assignment I chose Double Jeopardy from CSI Miami, season four episode eighteen. In
this episode a husband is found innocent of his wife s murder just as her missing body is being
pulled from the ocean by a fisherman. March 26 Mr. Rowe discovered his wife s racial status
and she disappeared on October 5th but the husband waited 3 days to report her death. During this
time he practiced killing Terisa Matherdy. Losing four twenty lb weight set in the process. The
CSI team must try to find new evidence linking the husband to the deed since he can t be tried
again with the same evidence...as it is considered Double Jeopardy. A little evidence and timely
confessions shows that the husband and his girlfriend did, indeed, kill the... Show more content on

Only in Hollywood would anyone not want or need to protect themselves from an obvious
possible source of disease. She did this twice in this episode, once on the scene of the found
body and again in her lab. Next we see Ryan Wolfe using soft ware that doesn t exist, have you
seen the latest version of windows? Well for those of you who didn t know the government have
to buy from the lowest bidder. So in order to use any high tech software like this you would need
a whole lot of money. So their group would have to be privately owned by some fat cat or
sponsored. The US Government always uses a soft ware that is one cycle out of production
when it comes to soft ware because you don t have to worry about those oh so annoying updates.
So Ryan Wolfe decrypted a deleted file, yes this is more than possible and they even show him
using Command line Keywords used for Archive, Delete, Report, and Restore Requests. As a
cyber security major I can tell you this is spot on accurate, so to speak. But a CSI member would
not be doing this it would probably be a computer specialist and not your local CSI member. Also
why would a CSI member even be looking up credit card receipts? They wouldn t, it would be a
detective not Ryan Wolfe. Getting the credit card receipts of a set time period in less than twenty
four hours is also farfetched. From what I was told and read, CSI rarely interrogate witnesses. Yet
in this episode we see at least eight interrogations

Implicit Bias Analysis
Implicit Biases in Reader Response
Reading Jane Austen has never appealed to me. The combination of dated prose, a general
aversion to plots I deemed to be too romantic , and my viewing of the film adaptations were
enough to keep me away from her novels. When I was asked to read Persuasion for a class, I was
hesitant and unwilling to fully engage with the material. This prevented me from enjoying the
book fully. I didn t quite know what was holding me back from enjoying the book, but I knew that
it was something more than my explicit biases against Austen. After a little reflection, I realized
that my implicit biases were shaping my reading of Austen. My implicit bias against a novel and
author that I perceived as overly feminine was coloring how I was interacting with and what
messages I was taking from Persuasion (Austen).
Implicit biases are the unconscious attitudes that shape our thoughts, actions, and beliefs (Banaji
and Greenwald 46; Staats et al. 10; Schneider 169).Their impact is important to study because
implicit biases shape our responses to situations. Reader response theory examines how a reader
responds to a given text. Theorists such as Jauss and Eco include concepts that implicit bias can and
should be built into. Jauss horizons examine how our experiences, expectations, culture, and place
in time shape how we react and create meaning. Though implicit bias is not noted in Jauss
formulation of the horizon, it should be considered as it shapes our

Papuan Toby Research Paper
The Papuan Toby belongs to a group of fishes known as the Puffer Fish. They are found in
different regions of the world. One of the unique things about Papuan Toby is the brown and blue
dots that adorn the body. It is not a very good swimmer and can ingest air when it puffs itself. This
can be risky to its overall health as there have been instances where they float to the surface of
water. Basically, they inflate their size to ward off predatory fishes from attacking them. Also,
Papuan Toby has body mucus which is toxic to human health when ingested.
Furthermore, the Papuan Toby can grow up to 10 centimeters and can make a good fit in any tank.
It is important to mention that this fish can be territorial in nature. They protect their space and
ward off any intruder that tries to over step the boundary. It is not ideal to have two male Papuan

This would help to prevent the spread of the infection and also heal the infected fish. Generally,
the freshness of the water in the tank cannot be over emphasized. The Papuan Toby is a fish that
loves to be as close as it can to its natural habitat. Due to its aggressive tendencies, it can be a
delight to watch their activities in the tank. However, this must not be done to bringing about stress
points to their health.
It is important to give the Papuan Toby a live rock that they can chew on. This helps to keep
their teeth in shape and not affect their feeding habit. Also, it must be mentioned that they must
be fed twice a day. The only exception is if there are plants in your aquarium which they can feed
on. Generally, they do not require a lot of variety in their food chain. The basics such as frozen
foods and other feed that most fishes thrive on can be used for them. They would bring a lot of

Essay Lincoln and His Generals Book Report
Lincoln and His Generals Book Review Lincoln and His Generals is a book by Thomas
Williams that focuses on the Civil War as being the first modern war and the way President
Lincoln lead his divided nation during this dark historic time. Williams introduces the Union army
as one that has no shape to it. This includes the lack of any plan of attack, as the thought of war
had not been converted into any type of scheme. The armies lacked organization and
communication, and existing generals were old and incompetent. The first task that Lincoln had
was the immediate selection of Generals. Lincoln s selection process was sometimes based on
political and personal grounds, and he was in the position of selecting from a pool of generals...

Williams shows us that Lincoln never hesitated in making difficult decisions based on results.
Lincoln s people skills are clearly established in Williams s writings. Lincoln seems keen at
applying pressure as well as giving his generals a free hand when necessary. Williams shows that
Lincoln s patience does wear thin when there are no early victories and the lack of
aggressiveness on the Union side. Williams shows a gradual transformation on Lincoln s
selection process. Initially each general was selected on characteristics such as battle experience
and political backing. As the enemy holds out and there is inaction, Lincoln starts to doubt the
ability of his generals and starts to seek generals who can win without excuses. Williams describes
the pressure that is placed on Lincoln. The union government and the public were questioning the
inactivity of McClellan and his troops. Lincoln was willing to absorb most of this pressure but
eventually seeks answers to the same questions. Williams shows the desperate side of Lincoln.
Lincoln starts to recklessly allow attack plans that he did not always agree with, just because he
was desperate to see action from McClellan. Williams indicates that Lincoln is a misunderstood
man through the eyes of his Generals. His chief general McClellan thought little of him and had
doubts about Lincoln early on. Union Generals sometimes failed at getting

Effects Of Mung Bean Starch On Rice Noodles Quality
Criticizing Effects of Mung Bean Starch on Rice Noodles Quality
In Effect of mung bean starch on quality of rice noodles made by direct dry flour extrusion Wu,
Meng, Yang et al. (2015) focus on developing a better understanding of the influences of mung bean
starch (MS) on the physiochemical properties of rice flour (RF) and quality of rice noodles
produced by the direct dry flour extrusion; as well as test possible corporation of rice flour (RF)
and MS fractions into rice noodles to improve its quality. First of all, Wu et al. analyzed the
substituted rice flour samples. The rice flour samples were prepared in four difference MS
substitutions, 0%, 2%, 5% and 8% for experimentations. With increase MS content in the mixture,
the results showed increase in amylose content, rate of retrogradation, pasting stability, and strength
of the gel, but decline in swelling power and solubility. The authors pointed out corporation of MS
and RF significantly influenced the physicochemical properties of rice noodle mixture, which
desirable for rice noodle making. This phenomenon results rice noodles were positively affected by
these changes as well, including decreased cooking time, loss rate and broken rate. Also, based on
the texture properties and sensory evaluation, elevating MS content contributed to better texture and
overall acceptance of rice noodles, but authors also point out, after 5% MS substitution, the rate of
quality improvements were decreased. The authors also

Horror Film Analysis
Horror Essay
Horror films are movies that aim to elicit a strong physiological reaction in the viewer, such as
raised heartbeat and fear. Three horror films by the names of Psycho, Scream and The Messengers
will be analysed and compared to an episode of the popular children s show Shaun the Sheep. Five
elements will be addressed in this analysis, those being camera techniques, Mise en scene, Editing,
Lighting and Sound.
In all of the previously mentioned films, there are a range of camera techniques being utilized to
their advantage. In the horror film Psycho, they use extreme close ups to help show emotions or
to add drama. Point of View filming is also common in all three of the films, as POV can make
the viewer feel more engaged and being able to see what the victim in the film can see adds an
element of fear that wouldn t be able to be achieved if everything was shot in 3rd person. For
example, in Scream, it is often filmed in the Point of View of the victim who is being stalked and
later killed by the antagonist and shows things such as the girls boyfriend tied to a chair or the killer
running through her house. Another technique that is used in these films is Mise en scene.
Mise en scene is the arrangement of everything that appears on screen, such as the actors, props
and costumes. In the movie Scream, the characters wear outfits to make their roles obvious. The
girl s boyfriend is wearing a highschool jersey which shows who he is quite easily and the killer is

Research Paper On West Indies Cricket
West Indies cricket, the envy of the world for decades past because of its exiting and brilliant
batsmen, fast and furious fast bowlers, and its acrobatic fielders, and undisputed champions of the
world for 19 years up to 1995, is now at rock bottom and looks like getting deeper and deeper.
In fact, based on the events of this week, and after all that have gone on in the past 15 or 20 years,
a good bet is that the West Indies days are numbered.
Top Eight Teams
Although it is common knowledge that the West Indies have lost 80 of 132 Test matches while

and then sit down and twiddle his thumbs, with nothing to do or eat, just looking on from the

No, it is not right, it was never right, and it can never be right.
The West Indies Cricket Boardhas made many mistakes in their time, but this is not one. This is
one to produce for West Indies cricket. This is one to ensure that what is happening now never

Purification Of Purification And Purification
When examining the purification data in Table 4, we can analyze the different methods of
purification of LDH and determine how effective each methods is in order to ultimately purify
LDH. Unfortunately, there are two different definitions of purification: one is have a high end yield
of the protein, while the other is having a high end concentration without any contaminating
proteins. Furthermore, in order to achieve one type of purification, the other one has to be given up.
The very first purification step involved the 65% ammonium sulfate cut that resulted in a highest
proteinconcentration out of all the purification steps. The protein concentration went up from
3.925mg/ml from the clarified homogenate to 28.11mg/ml, which is resulted of the pelleting out
of the LDH and reducing the volume from 114mL to 5.7mL. Furthermore, the 65% pellet cut was
able to recovery 46% of the LDH, while purifying it by 6.8 fold. Also, this step was able to
remove 65% of the total proteins, while retaining 35% of it. Due to the increased purity and 46%
recovery of LDH we can conclude that most of the removed total protein was non LDH,
contaminating protiens. Unfortunately, since this was only the first purification step, the amount of
comtaminating proteins is still fairly high as depicted in Figure 14, where the 65% cut pellet
contains several dark bands besides the one at 35kDa. The second purification step involved the

Ben Carson s story impacted my personal life in many ways. Ben Carson is an inspiration for

One major aspect in his life that inspired me that I have the potential of fulfilling my dreams is
his humble beginnings. Carson was not as privileged as he is today; he was an inner city kid
born and raised in Detroit by only his mother. His mother made sure her children had morals and
an education because she herself did not go to school past the third grade and was not able to

Analysis Of Lean Production Delivery System
Executive summary The aim of this report is to carry out the in depth analysis of Lean
production delivery system. Firstly the history of LPDS is discussed followed by its principles,
theory, processes and tools. The differences and similarities between current project management
systems and LPDS are observed. Observations are also made on the strengths and weaknesses of
both the systems. How both the systems provide an end value to the customers is also explained.
Introduction to Lean Production Delivery System Initially the manufacturing companies around
the world focused on the output and carried out the production process where everyone worked
on a single product and then moved to the other product which was time consuming. The
manufacturing companies could not meet the demands as time taken to produce is high. Henry
Ford of the Ford car manufacturing company introduced assembly line system and mass
produced cars as the demand for cars at that point of time was high. This drastically reduced time
to produce them. He hired people and trained them to specialize in a single field. Thus different
people worked on different fields according to their specializations which improved the efficiency
and speed of production. In the early 1900 s Toyota Production System (TPS) of Japan tried to use
the same method but was not successful as the market demands were different. It then introduced
Lean production system which focuses solely in providing greater value to the customers and

Walt Disney overestimated the magic that was to be in introducing Europe s most lavish and

nearly $1 billion.

Culturally, Disney cannot force itself on another people, which in this case was the whole of the
European continent. Disney promoted its product, the theme park, similar to that of Tokyo
Disneyland believing Europe wanted their piece of Americana .
In the marketing sense, we speak of identifying the needs and wants of the consumer. The package
presented by Disney to the customer met neither of these. Disney cannot control the environment!
True success lies in adapting oneself to the surrounding culture, being marketing oriented is finding
success in customer satisfaction. Disney fails on both counts. Cultures are dynamic and change
occurs when resistance slowly yields to acceptance so the basis for resistance becomes unimportant
or forgotten [2]. Which means that on the part of the European community we are certain to see
compromise, but over a period of time. Disney too has to reconcile with the environment it has
settled in. We read in the case that Disney does ultimately mend its ways. Making room for
continuous change is the best way to go about ones business.

This chemical reaction was discovered in 1828 by Friedrich Wohler in an attempt to synthesize

study of cyanates he had been working on for the previous few years. When he added silver
cyanate to ammonium chloride solution he obtained a white crystalline material, which proved
identical to urea obtained from urine. His investigation was questioned by the theory of the
vitalism. Vitalist chemists predicted that organic materials could not be synthesized from inorganic
components His discovery was the beginning of the process of preparing organic compounds from
inorganic substances. It is used on an industrial scale for the manufacture of fertilizers,
pharmaceuticals and resins. For example, urea is one of the precursors to the various barbiturates,
which are widely used as sedatives and sleeping pills. Urea is also used in the production of
urethanes, which are then... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is because it is at the end of chain of reactions which break down the amino acids that make
up proteins. These amino acids are metabolized and converted in the liver to ammonia, CO2, water
and energy. But the ammonia is toxic to cells, and so must be excreted from the body. The
discovery of Friedrich Wohler in 1828 was very important, as this made urea the first organic
compound to be synthesized from wholly inorganic starting materials. Wohler wrote triumphantly to
Berzelius: I must tell you that I can make urea without the use of kidneys, either man or dog.

A Rhetorical Analysis Of All Apologies From Eula Biss
In the essay All Apologies from Eula Biss, she talks about how our apologies are being said
without sincerity and sometime how one generation will apologies in the place of another. As a
result, after apologizing we have the tendency to think that at the end it was are fault. In her
essay she uses her personal experiences to correlate to her main purpose apologizing for slavery.
One example that she uses was the time when she hit her sister in the stomach then quickly
apologies for her action. As the occurrence of each insult, each scratch and each slap, her sister
reminded her that sorry doesn t cut it. Another examples that Biss uses were Reagan s signing
legislation apologizing for the Internment of Japanese Americans during World War II. It goes
taking about how Reagan resisted the apology because he felt that during that struggle it was not
our judgement to apologize but to see it as a mistake and to let it go.... Show more content on

an illustration of apologizes for the things that they did not do rather try to maintain our innocence.

Star Trek Impact On Society
On September the 8th in 1966 Gene Roddenberry brought the iconic science fiction show to
television screens for the first time, Star Trek was born. The show has set a lasting legacy that has
spawned over the decades with multiple spinoffs, several movies and even a cartoon show. It s a
legacy that is still around today, despite the original show being cancelled after its third season.
The pilot episode of star trek starring Jeffrey Hunter was actually rejected by NBC because it
was seen as to cerebral. Roddenberry then went and changes several parts of the show and cast
William Shatner in the lead role. As said in making a TV Series: The Bellamy Project by Albert
Moran casting is one important element in the visual appearance of the program. This is
confirmed as Kirk and his first Officer Spock played by Leonard Nimoy are icons for the show. ...

Star Trek was set on the Starship enterprise and Roddenberry wanted to bring diversity to his

member, all under the leadership of James T Kirk. Perhaps one of star treks biggest tropes is the
cultural impact it has had on society past and present. As said in Star Trek by Ina Rae Har, Star

News Coverage of September 11th, 2001 Essay
The attack that occurred on September 11th, 2001 on the World Trade Center in New York City
is an event that lingers in the minds of many Americans and other people throughout the world.
Most people can recall exactly where they were and whom they were with when they first heard
about the airplanes crashing into the towers. It was a day that changed the way people looked at
the world and brought to light the realities that even the wealthiest and most military advanced
country was not safe from acts of terrorism. The dangers posed by religious extremist were being
carried out on national and international news outlets live in front of millions if not billions of

The viewers saw the pictures on the screen at the same time as the anchors did (Morgensen 38).
Garry Tuchman a National Correspondent from CNN states, The most important thing is to be

staying clam, explain we re trying to gather the information the best we can. We are going to

Newscasts from NBC, Sky, and BBC World reported the news almost identical and in a way that
informed viewers that they too were unsure of the motive if any behind the plane crashes into the
twin towers. It was clearly stated by both domestic and foreign news stations that many detail
were unclear and they would be made available as they came in. It was not only a story that
affected Americans but also people throughout the World. For the first time since Pearl Harbor
Americans were being attacked on their own soil. Due to the surprise and scale of the attacks of 9

mightiest country in the world it could happen to any other nation.

Al Qaeda. As the media in the United States began to find a motivation behind the attacks

The Violence And Human Violence
20th century is the most educated century but also the most violent over the history of mankind.
The lethal violence has been increasing over the course of mammal evolution. The aggression in
mammals, that includes humans, also has a genetic component with high heritability. So it is
widely admitted that evolution has shaped humanviolence. And this violence is not among different
species, it is among the same species. Of all the world species, humans and chimpanzees are some
the only species that engage themselves in coordinated attacks on the other members of the same
species. We, humans, are not the only ones that are involved in the homicides, massacres, terrorism,
and human violence. Like humans, chimpanzees also engage in rape, murders, and violence. The
patterns of violence that is found among the humans are compared and contrasted with the great
ape species. Whether it is for food/resource sharing, dominance structure, territory or the male
competition for sexual access to females. Both human and chimpanzeewant to prove their status
what becomes a reason for a great number of wars and aggressiveness (Wrangham and Peterson,
1996).
What are the similarities between the chimpanzees and the humans that are certainly not true of all
animals? What gives our own species such violent males? As humans are genetically related to the
Great Apes, my focus of this paper would be tracking the evolutionary history of violence in the
Apes and how it originated in the humans later

Exegetical Study on Corinthians
Exegetical study on: 1 Corinthians 14:1 6 Principles of Biblical Interpretation Dr. Dale Hutchcraft
10/23/09 Alex Sullins The passage that I chose to exegete is 1 Corinthians 14:1 6, the main idea of
this passage is for the apostle Paul to confront the Corinthian church in Corinth about their misuse
of the spiritual gifts, namely the use of tongues. The following is a full outline of the passage with
the main point of each verse, it goes as follows: 1 Pursue love, yet desire earnestly spiritual gifts,
but especially that you may prophesy. Paul starts out this verse strongly with the word pursue and
earnestly showing the importance he is putting on pursuing the spiritual gifts. He stresses the
importance though of the gift... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The NT understands prophecy to be a divine and inspired message from God. This word has
several meanings: a) To proclaim the revelation, the message of God, imparted to the prophet. b)
Prophecy can have a special sense to foretell or proclaim future events. c) Prophecy can also
mean to bring to light by prophetic speech something concealed. d) In Paul the word denotes
teaching, admonishing, and comforting (1 Cor. 14:3) e) In Acts 19:6 it shows that prophecy is
used to inspire and ecstatic magnifying God (Acts 10:46) (Kittel). Only Paul speaks of the gift
of prophecy, in some instances as in 1 Th. 5:20 it is not clear whether the reference is to the
prophetic gift or the prophetic saying (Friedrich). Verse 2 Verse 2 explains that the misuse of
tongues was one of Corinthians major problems in their exercises of their spiritual gifts during
worship (Blomberg). When speaking in tongues they felt enlarged and elevated, their whole being
was for a time expanded by this emotion (Exell). These gifts are all used by the spirit, in
understanding these gifts it is essential to understand what the spirit is. In Jewish thought the spirit
denotes the power that humans experience that relates them to the spiritual realm, the realm that
lies beyond human control (TDNT). The human spirit is the aspect of a person that God most
immediately encounters him or her (Rom. 8:16) the spirit is also referred to as the

Each individual has there own set of ideals and values that motivate them towards specific and

Values can be influenced by a plethora of factors, from environment to predispositions, and can
range from relationships to materialism. Values and goals may represent a person, or a person may
represent the values and demonstrate the context that formed these values. Family, pride, education,

As seen throughout the play, Mama expresses concern for the well being of her family, and is
most effective whenever she expresses concern for Travis. Lena Younger expresses this concern
when Walter proposes his idea to open a liquor store to help his family, by first investing with the
money that comes from the insurance check. Lena immediately discredits the idea, using
arguments saying that Walter s priority isn t family. One can recall that Lena s late husband was
described as a hard worker, with family at the center of everything he did. Not only that, but
Lena, being older and living differently than she is now, has grown up with different sets of
hardships and therefore values. Both contribute to her ideals revolving around being there for
family, of which don t include a get rich quick scheme. This is seen when Lena reveals that she
put a down payment for a house, and giving her reasoning behind it. Lena wants to get a newer
house, that allows them to live comfortably, and the amenities that contribute to this are a bedroom
for Travis and a garden for herself. The garden refers back to the little plant Lena has in the
kitchen. Like her plant, it is small and worn, but is representative of the hope within her. The plant
would then transform into a garden, demonstrating that Lena has bounties of hope and is
flourishing with the opportunity to grow her security for her family and herself. Another important
thing to note is that Lena never imposes her children with ideas about the world. Although at times
she tries to wane them off certain ideas, these ideas pertaining to her hardships and religious
beliefs, she generally is very accepting of what her children do. She lets them have their own
dreams and goals, seen when she tells Walter what she wants him to do with the check, which
shows the importance of family to her in another

Similarities Between Australia And East Asia
Australian and East Asia government were some interesting countries to research government

countries with bumpy but steady move toward democracy. In this paper, I will compare the
Aboriginal and the countries that have democracies in East Asia.
The history of East Asia goes back as far as 7500 BC in the prehistoric Neolithic period, includes the
days of the empire of China, and disseminates into the present day. East Asia at one time was
considered the nucleus of Authoritarian rule. Recently there have been milestones towards
developing a properly functioning democracy. Japan at one time was considered the only

A number of other countries in East Asia are showing signs of progressing from dictatorship to
form of democracy, which include Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. Additionally the country
Burma, is heading toward democracy for the first time in over twenty years. However, only Japan,
Taiwan and South Korea are seen as stable democracy, with Japan being the lone Asian country that
has been technically liberal and democratic for six decades without disturbance. Citizens do
express concerns about authoritarian rule and most favor the liberal form of democracy with rule
of law, freedom of expression, and judicial independence.
The Aboriginal democracy traces back to the right to vote in Australia, which occurred in the 1800s.
In the beginning, Aborigines were governed by laws from the creative ancestral beings, coming

When comparing the Roman Catholic Reformation with the Protestant Reformation that share

A Single Person, Group, Event Or Community
Case studies are in depth investigations of a single person, group, event or community.
Typically, data are gathered from a variety of sources and by using several different methods
(e.g. observation interviews). The research may also continue for an extended period of time, so
processes and developments can be studied as they happen. The case study started with the
clinical studies where the medical history was recorded over a period of time and similar cases
were handled with same procedure and identical symptoms were considered to group the diseases
in one genera. In case study the hierarchy of events is recorded which have happened in the past
leading to the current events and forecasting their effects in the future. The data for the case study
can be collected from various sources which are easily accessible on the internet such as annual
reports of the company, articles and blogs of the employees and the website content. For the
detailed insight data, interview can be used as an effective tool .the facts can be gathered from the
individual, friends, family, employer and other people surrounding the individual on which the case

The Comic Books And Propaganda
Comic Books and Propaganda
Since the times of the Persian Empires, propaganda has been an effective tool for forces of the
State government, or other institutions trying to spread a political message, usually for militarily or
humanitarian missions. In modern times, propaganda has taken a new face with the Internet, but
during the 1940 s one of the most effective types of propaganda was the use of comic books.
Currently comic books are used around the world to spread the message of peace, war, and even
religion. For example, in Egypt a comic book is used to spread the word of Islam and what a true
Muslim should act like in accordance to Allah. Catholic undertones are used in comic books to
spread a message of Christianity to people in an interesting way, with bloody action. In Bosnia and
Herzegovina during the Bosnian War, Superman was used to get out awareness of landmines to the
people in affected areas. Comic Books are an effective form of propaganda because they are meant
to be interesting, and the superheroes show people how they should be acting during times of strife.
Throughout the history of comic books, they have been unifying and brought people together and
light to certain messages for people from different countries, cultures, and ethnicities.
Propaganda has been used for thousands of years, for example, during the time of the Persian
Empire, Darius s, also known as Darius the Great a king of the Persian Empire, use of an

Fashion Keg Parties
Physics is used in everyday activities even when the typical college kid is taking a break from class
by attending a bonfire or a house party to blow off steam. Yes, I m talking about those good ol
fashion keg parties that everyone seems to believe are the general college night out. You see,
physics is at work from the first beercan opened to the last kegstand before the blackout, but it is
also acting when the keg is tapped.
Kegs come in many shapes and sizes and there are no real measurements as far as weight and
amount of alcohol. That means that the physics of all kegs can be different. From lifting one to
rolling it to having the ability to balance on your arms above it, some kegs are just easier to
commit adolescent indecencies then others. Still all kegs are basically the same in the way of how
they work.
There is one opening on the top of the keg and a hose that runs to the bottom of the keg called the

Thirty years ago, Starbucks was a single store in Seattle s Pike Place Market selling premium
roasted coffee. Today it is a global roaster and retailer of coffee with some 17,000 stores, 40% of
which are in 50 countries outside the United States. In 1995, with 700 stores across the US,
Starbucks began exploring foreign opportunities. The first target market was Japan. The potential
for coffee sales in Japan is significant. The Japanese economy is the third to the United States and

Physicality Of Football Essay
Football is a very unique sport, especially to Americans. It is almost exclusively played in the
United States, at least thats where the most religious fans live. There are roughly 17 million
people who tune in to watch an average football game every weekend, and each stadium holds
roughly 100,000 people which is regularly filled with fans. So what is it that fans of football love
so much about the sport, is it the connection to a cities team, the lovableness of the teams mascot,
the fact that football is one of the last true contact sports, or the attractive cheerleaders. While I
might argue that it s hard to complain while watching the cheerleaders, when most people are
asked what aspect of football keeps them coming back, they often answer that they love the
physicality of the sport. While football has always been a sport of contact, physicality, and force,
over the years they have gone to great lengths to add rules in order to help protect the players from
devastating injuries. Some of the measures that have been taken include face mask penalties, horse
collar penalties, and a relatively new penalty for targeting. While football leagues such as the
National Football Leaguehave taken great strides to help prevent devastating injuries in the game
the Americans hold so dear to their hearts, I would argue that rather than decrease injuries, football
has actually seen a significant increase in serious injuries due to the fact that players feel the need
to overexert

White Noise Religion
Don DeLillo s novel White Noise explores the relativity of religion in the modern world by
conceiving a world in which religion is entirely changed. Traditional aspects of religion,
specifically Christianity, are rarely, if at all, present in this novel. Does DeLillo believe that
religion is relativity in our modern society? Or is he pushing the boundaries by creating a distorted
reality in which American culture is the primary religion? This question is initially exemplified in
White Noise when it states: It s not what I believe that counts. It s what you believe (318). This
paper will analyze White Noise s introduction and examination into religion; in an attempt uncover
an answer to the question, is American culture the only relative... Show more content on

Jack distances himself from traditional religion when he states: Watching children sleep makes
me feel devout, part of a spiritual system. It is the closest I can come to God (141). By stating
this, Jack identities traditional religion as an obscure practice that he has no access to. Modern
society proves not only unconquerable but also unconditionally opposed to the practices and
ideals of traditional religion, which encourages humans that it is possible to believe in a higher
power. Even the clergy, who are supposedly the most devout followers of religion, only pretend
to believe. In turn, the clergy s acceptance of religion exaggerates and evolves into a form of
resigned impersonation. This notion becomes evident when Jack discusses religion with Sister
Hermann Marie: To abandon such beliefs completely, the human race would die. This is why we
are here. A tiny minority. To embody old things, old beliefs... If we did not pretend to believe
these things, the world would collapse (318). Jack s absurd encounters with the clergy, illustrate
DeLillo perspective that traditional is a laughable illusion. Religion is no longer seen as
something revered and adored. Even the clergy s connection to God is not highly emphasized;
there is a clear gap between traditional religion and its relativity in our modern

The Impact of the New Deal on the Great Depression Era Essay
The Impact of the New Deal on the Great Depression Era
In 1933, President Roosevelt proposed New Deal legislation to alleviate the effects of the Great
Depression through various public works programs and other federal initiatives. The many
reforms of the New Deal were racked by intense criticism from their very beginnings. The New
Deal was a catalyst in the surge of the federal government s power.
One year before the financial collapse on Wall Street, President Hoover said, We in America today
are nearer to the financial triumph over poverty than ever before in the history of our land (Major
31). This overly confident statement was outrageously wrong. On October 24, 1929, the Wall Street
stock market plummeted. As of that date, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
15). The FERA s main purpose was to assume economic responsibility for 18 million unemployed
Americans. FERA was to help these people find work through the private sector. FERA was
intended to allow unemployed people regain their dignity and improve their economic status
(Hopkins par. 12).
Many people outside of the United States foresaw the greatness and legacy that would follow the
Roosevelt administration. For instance, Neville Chamberlain, the British Chancellor of the
Exchequer (later to become the British Prime Minister), said before the House of Commons
concerning FDR s first 100 days in office Within weeks of taking office Roosevelt had carried off
his first triumph, the restoration of national confidence (Rosenman 66).
Key factors of New Deal reforms to end the depression were to create work relief programs. The
epitome of F.D.R. s feelings toward work relief were spoken eloquently when he said The test of
our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those have it much; it is whether
we provide enough for those who have too little (Wolters 170). With this said, in 1933 Roosevelt
signed an executive order to create the CWA, or the Civil Works Administration. Four hundred
million dollars was eventually transferred from the FERA program s budget to help boost the
CWA. The CWA, a basic extension of the FERA, was created because of FERA s general lack of
putting enough people to work. The CWA would

CIP explains the continuing development process, the actual stages of the learning
process.(Driscoll, 2005) Piagetian Theory Piaget s Stages of Cognitive Development proposes
that a child s capacity to understand certain concepts is based on the child s developmental
stage. He outlined 4 stages of development that spanned a child s age from birth through 11 years
old. The list below presents a summary of the characteristics typical at each stage: *
Sensorimotor (birth to approximately age 2) begins to mentally represent objects and events *
Preoperational (2 to 7 years) engages in symbolic play * Concrete Operational (7 to 11 years)
performs mental operations * Formal Operational (11 years onward) Solves abstract problems in
systematic and logical fashion (Driscoll, 2005, p.195) Piaget s perspective on Kermit assumes
he has reached his formal operational stage of development and therefore does not provide much
of an explanation of how Kermit learned to play the keyboard. However if applied to a child
learning to play the keyboard, like the CIP theory Piaget s theory does address the learning of a
symbol system which he termed social knowledge. This can be used to explain Kermit s
recognition of the musical notes and

However, There Is One Issue Regarding To The Downsized
However, there is one issue regarding to the downsized engines.Porsche s Engine Downsizing
There are more than one billion cars around the world up to date and this number is increasing
rapidly because of the demand for them. Most of the cars in the world have big engines right
now. Big engines are made of eight cylinder (V8), ten cylinder (V10), or twelve cylinder (V12
/ W12). Those types of engines have been used for many years in the car industry. Most of the car
manufacturers prefer to use those engines because their customers like them and thinking that more

After introducing the Cayenne, they also started to produce four door coupe alike sedan called
Panamera with the same engine options in 2011. Porsche mostly used their V8 engines in their four
door cars until 2014, but after that year they started to downsize their engines because of the new
emission rules that their government released. By those new reduced emission regulations, Porsche
become one of the first sports car manufacturers that started to downsize their engines. Downsizing
the engine is pretty simple. They are actually taking 4.8 liter, eight cylinder V8 engine and
changing it with the 3.6 liter, six cylinder V6 engine. When they are downsizing the engine, they
are also adding that engine a turbocharger to make it much powerful as the bigger engine.
(Turbocharger is helping the engine to get more air to the pistons to increase its performance) Most
of the Porsche customers thought bigger engines are stronger and it makes the car go faster, but
actually it is not true because when they add turbochargers to the new downsized engine, it makes
the car much powerful as the old models. Another thing about the downsizing the engine is the fact
that, when the manufacturer makes the engine smaller, they are actually making the car lighter too
and that lighter car goes faster on the road than the previous models because it has

The Consequences Of The 1953 Coup
1953 Coup And Its Reminiscences
The effects of this coup, jointly orchestrated by the CIA and MI6, were far profound than those

The bloody coup attempt on July 15 orchestrated by the members of a particular terrorist

Essay on A Near Death Experience as a Religious Experience
A Near Death Experience as a Religious Experience
A near death experience can be defined as an event which occurs to people when seemingly the
bodily functions which confirm life have stopped, (i.e. clinically dead). It often has an out of body
element and may be interrupted in a religious or non religious way. Most individuals who claim to
have had a near death experience say that there is a sense of indescribable bliss, ecstasy and peace.
Similarly, a religious experience is usually described as a non empirical occurrence, and may be
perceived as supernatural. It is a mental event which is undergone by an individual and of which
that person is aware. Recipients of a religious experience usually ... Show more content on

Moreover, it could also be explained in physiological terms; where an individual could have a
body illness, or the brain being deprived of oxygen. These could distort their image of the world
leading to them not obtaining a real picture of what s going on, and hence making them think they
are undergoing a divine experience, whether religious or near death. It could also be the result of
affects in neurological terms (involving the nervous system). The brain could be affected by nerves

that I was just imagining things. (An individual who claims to have had a near death experience)

Difference Between German And Italian Opera
Like the previous eras, Opera continued to be one of the most important music genre is the 19th
century, especially in Italy, German and France. Opera served as a form of entertainment for the
people of higher social class. Opera music was also popular among the people of other social
classes due to the availability of transcribed operamusic for them to enjoy in salons or homes of
the middle class. This genre was extensively explored and developed by the Italians and Germans.
This paper will discuss how Italian and German opera were developed by comparing each
composer s distinctive compositional traits.

As stated by Burkholder, Grout and Palisca, Weber s Der Freischutz s rustic choruses, marches,
dances and airs ; multisectional aria form (influence from Rossini) and florid vocal lines were all
common characteristics of the Italian Opera. Meanwhile in Verdi s Otello, Wagnerian influence
could be seen. Verdi used melodic motives to show the characters emotions. In Act 4 scene 3, the
orchestra was used to heighten the dramatic moment instead of the voice, which was a
breakthrough in the history of Italian Opera. It is apparent that both Italians and Germans knew
how to blend the musical elements and text well to demonstrate the Romantic traits in their opera.
Aside from that, nationalism could be shown in the works of these composers, yearning for
unification of their motherlands. Both librettist and composers sought to include elements that
could entertain all possible listeners. By the late nineteenth century, the standard opera repertory
came to light and newly composed operas were less frequently staged. Over the time, the opera
works that survived have become associated with high culture and had set a mark in the world of
western music.
Further research could be done to identify how the compositional styles of 19th Century opera
composers influence the development of post nineteenth century music

Explain Who Is To Blame For The Death Of Romeo And Juliet...
Who s to blame for Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare? There are a lot of people that
could be blamed for it and those people aren t the ones who did it at all. But people think
differently and we have different opinions about things as well. Some people would think that s
it s them that could be blamed and it could be others still. It also just could have been just Juliet
because she s the one who took the poison that would put her to sleep for 48 hours and it could
be Romeo because he killed Tybalt and that he has been banished from his home. Nobody really

Thats one of the people that most people might blame for them to be dead. He is the one who
wanted them to be together and get married and so that the two families would be friends and
not fight. He is the one who also gave Juliet the poison that would make her fall asleep for a
while, which gave the family the thought that she did die because of that and they think that she
died somehow else. If Friar Lawrence didn t give Juliet that poison then maybe they wouldn t
have died and then they would be together like they were meant to be. That could have not made
Juliet die and Romeo as well and make their parents and families sad. Another person that could
be blamed is Juliet. She is very young and is too young to marry now a days. I think she should
of waited to get married and then she could have been fine. But she has fallen in love with
someone a little old for her and she wanted to marry him just like that. That is the crazy part
about it. Her parents should have also waited to have her get married and then she could have
been just fine about it. The nurse doesn t help either, she helped Juliet get in touch with him
because she couldn t leave her home. So she was also helping as well which was a bad idea as

The And Of The Bible
Living in a nation today where people of my own skin color are being discriminated against is a
hard fact to grasp. Personally, by the grace of God, I have never encountered a situation where
the color of my skin has been a problem. This does not deny the fact there is this problem out in
the world. Discrimination can be in many forms race, gender, national origin, religion, disability,
and even age. These many forms of discrimination would cause a division in our nation. Now the
church has tried to find ways to mend this division that is created between people. In Paul s letters
to the Ephesians he addresses this issue. With Peter s letter to the Ephesians he takes a look at the
division between the Jewsand then the Gentiles. In the biblical commentaries of the book of
Ephesians done by Harold Hoehner and James Boice, they discus two ways that these verses are
talked about. Hoehner and Bocie talk about how Paul is speaking in the past present and future
tense of how the division in the church came to be, was destroyed and should never happen again.
With Paul identifying the Jews as the circumcised and the Gentiles uncircumcised. This
clarification according to Hoehner shows how the gentiles have no favor or privileges with God
like the Jews. Since the Jews had been given Israeland privileges it is thought that they are better
off than the Gentiles (Hoehner 2002). The Jews therefore have been giving an advantage over the
Gentiles (Boice 1988), Now since they are both in

  • 2. Raphael Raphael, and The Stanza Della Segnatura Raphael Sanzio was one of the most important artists of the Italian Renaissance. Raphael painted and designed many brilliant pieces of work and the stanzas inside the Vatican. He was a master at such necessities of modern art such as depth and perspective and the use of light and shadow, and was the turning point styles of paintings like the use of Madonnas in paintings. Through his short life, Raphael would make some of the most awe inspiring, beautiful, and influential works of art during the Italian Renaissance. Raphael whose full name was Raphael Sanzio, (also known as Raphael Sanzi), was born on April 6th, 1483. He was born in the town of Urbino, Italy, where he would spend his childhood ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Madonna of the Goldfinch was made in 1506, and does show a very human Mary. In Italian, Madonna of the Goldfinch is Madonna del Cardellino. In that painting, Mary is shown holding St. John, and St. John is holding a tiny bird for Jesus Christ, whom is an infant in that painting. Leonardo s painting, The Virgin of the Rocks, probably influences Madonna of the Goldfinch for the faces and figures are very similar. In Madonna of the Goldfinch and a few other paintings Raphael made, he experimented with Leonardo s immense use of shade, but would always return to the lighter tones that Perugino had taught him. In 1508, at the age of 24, Pope Julius II invited Raphael to the Vatican. Raphael was summoned to the Vatican to paint things like stanzas, and was probably recommended to the pope by Domato Bramante, an architect. He was immediately well liked by the pope and everyone else at the Vatican due to his personality; Raphael was a nice, gentle, and sensitive individual. As Giorgio Vasari once said about Raphael, Raphael was so gentle and so charitable that even animals loved him, not to speak of men. (Ruskin, p. 132) In order for Raphael to paint stanzas Pope Julius II ordered some old frescoes to be washed away from the Vatican walls. Although he made many stanzas, he only painted one stanza: the Stanza Della Segnatura. In the other stanzas that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Black Students And Education Inequality Education inequality continues as more than 140,000 students, predominantly black students, were kept back in kindergarten in 2012. Black students are more likely to be held back, despite research showing that holding back children does not benefit them socially or academically. Retention rates for students increase when they come into their first year of high school. While 12 percent of black students are held back in ninth grade, the equivalent is just 4 percent of white students (Cook). African American students are also more likely to drop out before earning a high schooldiploma. Even when it comes to discipline, Caucasians receive different treatment. Black students are suspended and expelled at a rate three times higher than white... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is time to take action in order to relieve African American citizens of strife placed upon them by way of inequality. There have been solutions stated to solve the given problems of lower education, substandard housing, and disproportionate payment of the African American race as compared, mainly, to the Caucasian race. As a way to combat lower education, it is recommended that schools become more diverse, as opposed to always being predominantly one race. Schools should be integrated with students of all economical and racial backgrounds, as well as teachers being diverse for students to have an authority figure to which they may relate. Not only do African Americans of low income need aid in a school setting, but they also need some aid in the home setting. Many African Americans are living in poverty and to contest the poverty that may later result in constant disciplinary action or even so far as dropping out of school, it would be useful for the government and school system to provide more assistance. Schools should implement extended time meant for unprivileged students to complete schoolwork, as well as the school board paying for supplies for said students, as the students are not able to afford them themselves. Finally, African American employees are nont granted the same pay as their differently raced counterparts. This may be counteracted by the Paycheck, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Essay about The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1948 would have lasting negative effects on Mexican Americans. The Treaty was signed after America had won the Mexican American war. America gained possession of the southwest states that had been part of Mexico for the price of around eighteen million dollars. In Article IX of the Treaty, it states that the Mexicans shall be maintained and protected in the free enjoyment of their liberty and property, and secured in the free exercise of their religion without restriction (Vargas 139). And as Rachel Rivera points out Article VII promised the Mexicans the right to keep their land which previously belonged to Mexico. However, the Treaty would not grant the ... Before the movement because nationally known, it had to have a leader. Reies Lopez Tijerina led the beginning of the movement. Tijerina raised questions of Spanish and Mexican land grants. Tijerina fought to uphold the Mexican American rights protected by the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. Tijerina opposed the government for confiscating the Mexican American land illegally. In an open letter from 1969 he writes from the Sante Fe jail. He compares the Mexican struggle with the black struggle in America. The black Civil Rights movement of the sixties would help open the door for other causes, such as the Chicano movement. In the movie Chicano! the blacks led by Martin Luther King Jr., and the Chicano movement led by Corky Gonzalez plan for a poor people march on the capital in Washington D.C. However, Dr. King was shot weeks before the planned march. Without King s leadership the movement did not have the same effect. The different ethnic groups could not organize as well as they could behind King s strong words. The movement would have had positive effects on the rest of America. Unfortunately, as stated in the film, they never could get it together. The social awareness of the 1960 s was in part successful because of the youth. The base salary will include a minimum of 5 years of experience and offer a salary of 120,000 Rubles. Salaries may vary depending on the actual number of years of experience. It will be maxed out at 350,000 Rubles. According to Coleman services article on expatriatecompensation packages, These expenses include, but are not limited to, relocation and living allowance, country risk payments, complete medical and travel insurance for all family members, corporate cars (often with personal drivers), total coverage of apartment costs etc. Add to these a foreigner status with all inherent visa proceedings, and you ll get a very costly asset. 1 Compensation packages for the local hires will not require such high benefits, however, there salary would be a little higher due to not including all the benefits of living and relocation. • 6. Csi Miami vs Csi Real Life For this assignment I chose Double Jeopardy from CSI Miami, season four episode eighteen. In this episode a husband is found innocent of his wife s murder just as her missing body is being pulled from the ocean by a fisherman. March 26 Mr. Rowe discovered his wife s racial status and she disappeared on October 5th but the husband waited 3 days to report her death. During this time he practiced killing Terisa Matherdy. Losing four twenty lb weight set in the process. The CSI team must try to find new evidence linking the husband to the deed since he can t be tried again with the same evidence...as it is considered Double Jeopardy. Only in Hollywood would anyone not want or need to protect themselves from an obvious possible source of disease. She did this twice in this episode, once on the scene of the found body and again in her lab. Next we see Ryan Wolfe using soft ware that doesn t exist, have you seen the latest version of windows? Well for those of you who didn t know the government have to buy from the lowest bidder. So in order to use any high tech software like this you would need a whole lot of money. So their group would have to be privately owned by some fat cat or sponsored. The US Government always uses a soft ware that is one cycle out of production when it comes to soft ware because you don t have to worry about those oh so annoying updates. So Ryan Wolfe decrypted a deleted file, yes this is more than possible and they even show him using Command line Keywords used for Archive, Delete, Report, and Restore Requests. As a cyber security major I can tell you this is spot on accurate, so to speak. But a CSI member would not be doing this it would probably be a computer specialist and not your local CSI member. Also why would a CSI member even be looking up credit card receipts? They wouldn t, it would be a detective not Ryan Wolfe. Getting the credit card receipts of a set time period in less than twenty four hours is also farfetched. From what I was told and read, CSI rarely interrogate witnesses. • 8. Implicit Bias Analysis Implicit Biases in Reader Response Reading Jane Austen has never appealed to me. The combination of dated prose, a general aversion to plots I deemed to be too romantic , and my viewing of the film adaptations were enough to keep me away from her novels. When I was asked to read Persuasion for a class, I was hesitant and unwilling to fully engage with the material. This prevented me from enjoying the book fully. I didn t quite know what was holding me back from enjoying the book, but I knew that it was something more than my explicit biases against Austen. After a little reflection, I realized that my implicit biases were shaping my reading of Austen. My implicit bias against a novel and author that I perceived as overly feminine was coloring how I was interacting with and what messages I was taking from Persuasion (Austen). Implicit biases are the unconscious attitudes that shape our thoughts, actions, and beliefs (Banaji and Greenwald 46; Staats et al. 10; Schneider 169).Their impact is important to study because implicit biases shape our responses to situations. Reader response theory examines how a reader responds to a given text. Theorists such as Jauss and Eco include concepts that implicit bias can and should be built into. Jauss horizons examine how our experiences, expectations, culture, and place in time shape how we react and create meaning. Though implicit bias is not noted in Jauss formulation of the horizon, it should be considered as it shapes our ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Papuan Toby Research Paper The Papuan Toby belongs to a group of fishes known as the Puffer Fish. They are found in different regions of the world. One of the unique things about Papuan Toby is the brown and blue dots that adorn the body. It is not a very good swimmer and can ingest air when it puffs itself. This can be risky to its overall health as there have been instances where they float to the surface of water. Basically, they inflate their size to ward off predatory fishes from attacking them. Also, Papuan Toby has body mucus which is toxic to human health when ingested. Furthermore, the Papuan Toby can grow up to 10 centimeters and can make a good fit in any tank. It is important to mention that this fish can be territorial in nature. They protect their space and ward off any intruder that tries to over step the boundary. However, this must not be done to bringing about stress points to their health. It is important to give the Papuan Toby a live rock that they can chew on. This helps to keep their teeth in shape and not affect their feeding habit. Also, it must be mentioned that they must be fed twice a day. The only exception is if there are plants in your aquarium which they can feed on. Generally, they do not require a lot of variety in their food chain. • 10. Essay Lincoln and His Generals Book Report Lincoln and His Generals Book Review Lincoln and His Generals is a book by Thomas Williams that focuses on the Civil War as being the first modern war and the way President Lincoln lead his divided nation during this dark historic time. Williams introduces the Union army as one that has no shape to it. This includes the lack of any plan of attack, as the thought of war had not been converted into any type of scheme. The armies lacked organization and communication, and existing generals were old and incompetent. The first task that Lincoln had was the immediate selection of Generals. Lincoln s selection process was sometimes based on political and personal grounds, and he was in the position of selecting from a pool of generals... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Williams shows us that Lincoln never hesitated in making difficult decisions based on results. Lincoln s people skills are clearly established in Williams s writings. Lincoln seems keen at applying pressure as well as giving his generals a free hand when necessary. Williams shows that Lincoln s patience does wear thin when there are no early victories and the lack of aggressiveness on the Union side. Williams shows a gradual transformation on Lincoln s selection process. Initially each general was selected on characteristics such as battle experience and political backing. As the enemy holds out and there is inaction, Lincoln starts to doubt the ability of his generals and starts to seek generals who can win without excuses. Williams describes the pressure that is placed on Lincoln. The union government and the public were questioning the inactivity of McClellan and his troops. Lincoln was willing to absorb most of this pressure but eventually seeks answers to the same questions. Williams shows the desperate side of Lincoln. Lincoln starts to recklessly allow attack plans that he did not always agree with, just because he was desperate to see action from McClellan. Williams indicates that Lincoln is a misunderstood man through the eyes of his Generals. His chief general McClellan thought little of him and had doubts about Lincoln early on. (2015) focus on developing a better understanding of the influences of mung bean starch (MS) on the physiochemical properties of rice flour (RF) and quality of rice noodles produced by the direct dry flour extrusion; as well as test possible corporation of rice flour (RF) and MS fractions into rice noodles to improve its quality. First of all, Wu et al. analyzed the substituted rice flour samples. The rice flour samples were prepared in four difference MS substitutions, 0%, 2%, 5% and 8% for experimentations. With increase MS content in the mixture, the results showed increase in amylose content, rate of retrogradation, pasting stability, and strength of the gel, but decline in swelling power and solubility. The authors pointed out corporation of MS and RF significantly influenced the physicochemical properties of rice noodle mixture, which desirable for rice noodle making. This phenomenon results rice noodles were positively affected by these changes as well, including decreased cooking time, loss rate and broken rate. Also, based on the texture properties and sensory evaluation, elevating MS content contributed to better texture and overall acceptance of rice noodles, but authors also point out, after 5% MS substitution, the rate of quality improvements were decreased. • 13. Horror Film Analysis Horror Essay Horror films are movies that aim to elicit a strong physiological reaction in the viewer, such as raised heartbeat and fear. Three horror films by the names of Psycho, Scream and The Messengers will be analysed and compared to an episode of the popular children s show Shaun the Sheep. Five elements will be addressed in this analysis, those being camera techniques, Mise en scene, Editing, Lighting and Sound. In all of the previously mentioned films, there are a range of camera techniques being utilized to their advantage. In the horror film Psycho, they use extreme close ups to help show emotions or to add drama. Point of View filming is also common in all three of the films, as POV can make the viewer feel more engaged and being able to see what the victim in the film can see adds an element of fear that wouldn t be able to be achieved if everything was shot in 3rd person. For example, in Scream, it is often filmed in the Point of View of the victim who is being stalked and later killed by the antagonist and shows things such as the girls boyfriend tied to a chair or the killer running through her house. Another technique that is used in these films is Mise en scene. Mise en scene is the arrangement of everything that appears on screen, such as the actors, props and costumes. In the movie Scream, the characters wear outfits to make their roles obvious. The girl s boyfriend is wearing a highschool jersey which shows who he is quite easily and the killer is ... Purification Of Purification And Purification When examining the purification data in Table 4, we can analyze the different methods of purification of LDH and determine how effective each methods is in order to ultimately purify LDH. Unfortunately, there are two different definitions of purification: one is have a high end yield of the protein, while the other is having a high end concentration without any contaminating proteins. Furthermore, in order to achieve one type of purification, the other one has to be given up. The very first purification step involved the 65% ammonium sulfate cut that resulted in a highest proteinconcentration out of all the purification steps. The protein concentration went up from 3.925mg/ml from the clarified homogenate to 28.11mg/ml, which is resulted of the pelleting out of the LDH and reducing the volume from 114mL to 5.7mL. Furthermore, the 65% pellet cut was able to recovery 46% of the LDH, while purifying it by 6.8 fold. Also, this step was able to remove 65% of the total proteins, while retaining 35% of it. Due to the increased purity and 46% recovery of LDH we can conclude that most of the removed total protein was non LDH, contaminating protiens. Unfortunately, since this was only the first purification step, the amount of comtaminating proteins is still fairly high as depicted in Figure 14, where the 65% cut pellet contains several dark bands besides the one at 35kDa. Firstly the history of LPDS is discussed followed by its principles, theory, processes and tools. The differences and similarities between current project management systems and LPDS are observed. Observations are also made on the strengths and weaknesses of both the systems. How both the systems provide an end value to the customers is also explained. Introduction to Lean Production Delivery System Initially the manufacturing companies around the world focused on the output and carried out the production process where everyone worked on a single product and then moved to the other product which was time consuming. The manufacturing companies could not meet the demands as time taken to produce is high. Henry Ford of the Ford car manufacturing company introduced assembly line system and mass produced cars as the demand for cars at that point of time was high. This drastically reduced time to produce them. He hired people and trained them to specialize in a single field. Thus different people worked on different fields according to their specializations which improved the efficiency and speed of production. In the early 1900 s Toyota Production System (TPS) of Japan tried to use the same method but was not successful as the market demands were different. It then introduced Lean production system which focuses solely in providing greater value to the customers and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

True success lies in adapting oneself to the surrounding culture, being marketing oriented is finding success in customer satisfaction. Disney fails on both counts. Cultures are dynamic and change occurs when resistance slowly yields to acceptance so the basis for resistance becomes unimportant or forgotten [2]. It is considered the starting point of modern organic chemistry. Wohler wanted to prove, contrary to scientific thinking of the time, that a product of the living processes of animals could be made in the laboratory from inorganic materials. The synthesis was almost an accident, as Wohler had been trying to make another compound, ammonium cyanate, to continue a study of cyanates he had been working on for the previous few years. When he added silver cyanate to ammonium chloride solution he obtained a white crystalline material, which proved identical to urea obtained from urine. His investigation was questioned by the theory of the vitalism. Vitalist chemists predicted that organic materials could not be synthesized from inorganic components His discovery was the beginning of the process of preparing organic compounds from inorganic substances. It is used on an industrial scale for the manufacture of fertilizers, pharmaceuticals and resins. The Comic Books And Propaganda Comic Books and Propaganda Since the times of the Persian Empires, propaganda has been an effective tool for forces of the State government, or other institutions trying to spread a political message, usually for militarily or humanitarian missions. In modern times, propaganda has taken a new face with the Internet, but during the 1940 s one of the most effective types of propaganda was the use of comic books. Currently comic books are used around the world to spread the message of peace, war, and even religion. For example, in Egypt a comic book is used to spread the word of Islam and what a true Muslim should act like in accordance to Allah. Catholic undertones are used in comic books to spread a message of Christianity to people in an interesting way, with bloody action. In Bosnia and Herzegovina during the Bosnian War, Superman was used to get out awareness of landmines to the people in affected areas. Comic Books are an effective form of propaganda because they are meant to be interesting, and the superheroes show people how they should be acting during times of strife. Throughout the history of comic books, they have been unifying and brought people together and light to certain messages for people from different countries, cultures, and ethnicities. Yes, I m talking about those good ol fashion keg parties that everyone seems to believe are the general college night out. You see, physics is at work from the first beercan opened to the last kegstand before the blackout, but it is also acting when the keg is tapped. Kegs come in many shapes and sizes and there are no real measurements as far as weight and amount of alcohol. That means that the physics of all kegs can be different. From lifting one to rolling it to having the ability to balance on your arms above it, some kegs are just easier to commit adolescent indecencies then others. Still all kegs are basically the same in the way of how they work. There is one opening on the top of the keg and a hose that runs to the bottom of the keg called the spear. There is also a self closing valve that has enough tension to hold itself against the unpressured fluid in the barrel of alcohol. This in some cases will have another hose coming off of it with a spigot or could just have a normal spout from which the contents will run until the pressure is relieved or the valve is physically closed. There are roughly 17 million people who tune in to watch an average football game every weekend, and each stadium holds roughly 100,000 people which is regularly filled with fans. So what is it that fans of football love so much about the sport, is it the connection to a cities team, the lovableness of the teams mascot, the fact that football is one of the last true contact sports, or the attractive cheerleaders. While I might argue that it s hard to complain while watching the cheerleaders, when most people are asked what aspect of football keeps them coming back, they often answer that they love the physicality of the sport. While football has always been a sport of contact, physicality, and force, over the years they have gone to great lengths to add rules in order to help protect the players from devastating injuries. Some of the measures that have been taken include face mask penalties, horse collar penalties, and a relatively new penalty for targeting. While football leagues such as the National Football Leaguehave taken great strides to help prevent devastating injuries in the game the Americans hold so dear to their hearts, I would argue that rather than decrease injuries, football has actually seen a significant increase in serious injuries due to the fact that players feel the need to overexert ... Modern society proves not only unconquerable but also unconditionally opposed to the practices and ideals of traditional religion, which encourages humans that it is possible to believe in a higher power. Even the clergy, who are supposedly the most devout followers of religion, only pretend to believe. In turn, the clergy s acceptance of religion exaggerates and evolves into a form of resigned impersonation. This notion becomes evident when Jack discusses religion with Sister Hermann Marie: To abandon such beliefs completely, the human race would die. This is why we are here. A tiny minority. • 52. Explain Who Is To Blame For The Death Of Romeo And Juliet... Who s to blame for Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare? There are a lot of people that could be blamed for it and those people aren t the ones who did it at all. But people think differently and we have different opinions about things as well. Some people would think that s it s them that could be blamed and it could be others still. It also just could have been just Juliet because she s the one who took the poison that would put her to sleep for 48 hours and it could be Romeo because he killed Tybalt and that he has been banished from his home. Nobody really knows who to blame for their deaths really. So who is really to blame for their deaths? Romeo and Juliet s families don t really get along with each other that well. They are both... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Thats one of the people that most people might blame for them to be dead. He is the one who wanted them to be together and get married and so that the two families would be friends and not fight. He is the one who also gave Juliet the poison that would make her fall asleep for a while, which gave the family the thought that she did die because of that and they think that she died somehow else. If Friar Lawrence didn t give Juliet that poison then maybe they wouldn t have died and then they would be together like they were meant to be. That could have not made Juliet die and Romeo as well and make their parents and families sad. Another person that could be blamed is Juliet. She is very young and is too young to marry now a days. I think she should of waited to get married and then she could have been fine. But she has fallen in love with someone a little old for her and she wanted to marry him just like that. Discrimination can be in many forms race, gender, national origin, religion, disability, and even age. These many forms of discrimination would cause a division in our nation. Now the church has tried to find ways to mend this division that is created between people. In Paul s letters to the Ephesians he addresses this issue. With Peter s letter to the Ephesians he takes a look at the division between the Jewsand then the Gentiles. In the biblical commentaries of the book of Ephesians done by Harold Hoehner and James Boice, they discus two ways that these verses are talked about. Hoehner and Bocie talk about how Paul is speaking in the past present and future tense of how the division in the church came to be, was destroyed and should never happen again. With Paul identifying the Jews as the circumcised and the Gentiles uncircumcised. This clarification according to Hoehner shows how the gentiles have no favor or privileges with God like the Jews. Since the Jews had been given Israeland privileges it is thought that they are better off than the Gentiles (Hoehner 2002). The Jews therefore have been giving an advantage over the Gentiles (Boice 1988), Now since they are both in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
