With summer right around the corner, this webinar will showcase several hands-on STEM activities about Earth’s red neighbor. Join the STAR Net team to discuss programming ideas, NASA resources, and, of course, fun, hands-on STEM activities that will surely be a crowd-pleaser at your library. We’ll also check in on the progress of NASA’s InSight mission, which was launched in May 2018.
The article discusses commonly confused words - there, their, and they're. It provides examples of how to correctly use each word and exercises to practice distinguishing between their meanings. Students are asked to circle the right word in each sentence. Answering correctly requires understanding the subtle differences between these similar-sounding words.
This is a work in progress, but outlines some of the ways in which home-made concept cartoons are used in my class. It was featured on the SlideShare homepage.
I highly recommend that teachers, especially in Middle School, get a copy of the concept cartoons resources.

It discusses how current education systems break students' natural desire to learn, and introduces Octalysis as a framework to understand motivation.
