1. Cow Milk The best and the most sought after of all types of milk is the cow milk. It is
considered as a wholesome supplement of protein, bone building calcium and vitamin D that
promote good health. 2. Almond Milk Wish to consume a non dairy milk on a regular basis,
then almond milk can be your pick. Low in calories, low in fat and with a creamy consistency,
this milk could be a replacement for your cow s milk. 3. Hemp Milk It is a non dairy milk that is
rich in protein content. It is not thick in nature and helps reduce blood pressure and cholesterol.
4. Goat Milk If you are looking for same supplements as cow s milk, then opt for goat s milk.

Drinking a glass of milk for breakfast daily helps in muscle building and reduces body ache
caused by intense exercises by retaining fluids and electrolytes. 1. Bone Health Milk strengthens
the bones of the body as it contains a high amount of calcium in it. Also present in abundance is
Vitamin D that supplements strength to the bones and make them stronger. The bone matter and
bone mineral density are dependent on the calcium content of the body. Hence do not make
excuses to avail the benefits of drinking milk. 2. Healthy Teeth Structure The milk on
consumption protects the enamel surface of the teeth from acidic properties. It will eliminate the
harmful effects of carbonated water on the teeth and keep them healthy and glowing. 3. Eye
Health Milk is a good source of vitamin A and B, so it s beneficial for your eyes as well. It boosts
the immune system and makes the eyesight normal. 4. Heart Health Since milk also contains
potassium, that reduces blood pressure and enhances vasodilation, it can make for an appropriate
choice for good heart. Milk helps in normalizing the cholesterol production and works as an anti
acid fluid. Milk contains potassium and phosphorus in abundance which makes it the perfect drink
for regulating the blood

The Evolution of Modern Humans
While time travel still remains elusive to us, scientists have been able to discover things about
our past as a species that were practically inconceivable over 150 years ago when Charles Darwin
released his book entitled The Origin of Species. They have especially uncovered many pieces
to our still incomplete puzzle over the past 20 years so that we now have a nearly complete idea
of how our species Homo sapiens came to be. This story of our history includes dozens of species
and hundreds of fossils and bones, yet fairly few complete or even partial skeletons. Hominids
have gone through many changes to get from one of our earliest species Ardipithecus ramidus to
Homo sapiens which scientists have been able to discover... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The lower part, where it meets the ankle, is fairly wide and thick so it acted as a shock absorber
whilst walking. Members of the Australopithecus anamensis species also had long forearms and
wrist bone features which suggest tree climbing. They were thickly built with long narrow jaws.
Their side rows of teeth were in parallel lines and were heavily enameled which entails that they
ate hard, abrasive foods such as nuts, but researchers also believe that they also ate fruits. These
hominids were possibly the size of modern female chimpanzees and there is evidence of sexual
dimorphism. (Leakey et al, 1995; White et al, 2006) Discovered in 1974, Australopithecus
afarensis is one of the most famous early hominids and they are the direct descendants of
Australopithecus anamensis. Australopithecus afarensis as a species was not named until 1978,
after many fossil discoveries of the same type were found at sites in Hadar, Ethiopia and Laetoli,
Tanzania. Some of the fossils categorized as a part of this species were found as early as in the
1930 s. They were around for more than 900,000 years which makes them the longest lived
species and there are over 300 sets of remains of Australopithecus afarensis. One of the most
famous hominid skeletons is 3.2 million year old Lucy (AL 288 1), discovered by Donald
Johanson and Maurice Taieb in Hadar, Ethiopia in 1974. She was nicknamed the night she was

The Ship Poem
Within The Ship Starting, there are three notable instances of repetition. For one, the word ship
occurs three times (including in the title). Given that ships are the topic of interest in the poem, this
instance of repetition has the basic effect of bringing the locus of the text back to the title, or
central theme. The second example can be observed in the second and third lines, where the word
sails is followed by moonsails, a made up compound version of the former word. Using the same
word twice, and in this case, by adding on and modifying its second appearance, the reader is
likely to acquire a clear picture of the scene that Whitman lays out in the poem. Emphasizing the
image of the ships sails by preceding the words with diction such as all and even attributes the
sails to a sense of abundance or freedom. The third instance of repetition occurs in line four,
where she speeds she speeds is used to describe the motions that the ship is making. Whereas it
would be considered grammatically correct to include a comma after the first mention of she
speeds, leaving it out better reflects the content of the poem: she speeds she speeds gives the
impression of a ship slicing through the water quickly. In many cases, using the same word twice
in a row takes away from a text s message, but in The Ship Starting, this repetition instead works in
Whitman s favor by supporting the visual imagery he seeks to create.
Walt Whitman s The Ship Starting is a poem that

Assisted Suicide And The United States
In today s society it is taught that life is a precious gift and to cherish every second that is
allowed, but what if it is full of endless pain and misery? Starting hundreds of years ago in Ancient
Greece up until modern times with Doctor Kevorkian, physician assisted suicide, and euthanasia
are all highly debated topics that cause both legal and moral dilemmas, but provide patients with
benefits such as financial and pain relief. Assisted suicide should be legalized in the United States
to prevent pain and suffering for the patients and their families. Cultures around the world have
been using assisted suicide to provide an easy and painless deathfor hundreds of years. Euthanasia, a
term created by Suetonius, is two greek words Eu... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They were big buildings that were equipped with gas chambers, crematoriums, mortuaries, and
rooms to dissect and remove all valuables that were missed in earlier collection. Historians
speculate this is what started the endemic of assisted suicide in modern times. Hitler started
what was know as the Euthanasia Program in which the term was changed from Good Death to
mass murder of the Jewish people, Gypsies and the handicapped people of Germany and
ultimately started the Holocaust. Hitler wanted to kill off the people that he did not think were
worthy of life. Doctor Jack Kevorkian was the subject of the most recent assisted suicide
debates. Dr. Death, as he was later called, was a pathologist who was convicted of murder for
helping his patients in the act of physician assisted suicide. He was always interested in death and
dying and wanted to help his patients go peacefully instead of suffering. He had, what he called, a
suicide machine set up in an old van and would drive around, at people s requests, to assist them in
killing themselves. Kevorkian was tried multiple times for murder, but pleaded not guilty until
1999, when the court showed a video of him providing Thomas Youk with lethal doses of drugs.
Although most people think there is only one type of euthanasia there are actually multiple such as
Terminal Sedation, in which drugs are

Humanism In The Middle Ages
This class has taught me that humanism can be defined as examining the creative and intellectual
contributions made by every culture that stresses human logic, values, and scientific method
(Humanities Through the Ages).
When I think of the middle Ages, I envision romantic images of knights in shining armor,
magnificent castles, and glorious cathedrals. But the Middle Ages, (medieval) was much more.
There were rise of cities, economy and money that started in Florence Italy, Mediterranean empires,
the townspeople benefited from the rise but the rise damaged the nobles.
The rise of nations, crises of the church, new military development caused a decline in the
medieval period. Shortly after the Black Death (Bubonic and the Plagues) a new period

The time was quickly ticking away and the score was tied. The bases were loaded, and their star
hitter was at the plate. As I stepped onto the mound, I told myself that I could not throw the ball
in the sweet zone, and it had to be fast. Putting all of my strength into the pitch, I watched the ball
leave my hand...but instead of a launch, it merely floated. CRACK! The bright, yellow ball
sailed over my head and I instantly knew the game was over. What I could not understand,
however, was why there was no power in my pitch when I was giving it everything I had. Sure, I
was exhausted, thirsty, and weak, but I did not think that was any excuse for pitching poorly.
Unfortunately, I found out the reason for my performance the next day. I had dropped from 96 to

worked with the secret service to help catch hackers on the black market. The only part was that
Albert was working both sides. When he worked for the service he was taught material he never

Analysis Of The Poem Terrace Mcnally s The Mother,...
HIV/AIDS affects people both directly and indirectly. It is an extremely painful for the person
with the virus, and it is emotional for them and their loved ones. Many people have preconceived
ideas about what types of people get HIV/AIDS and can be stubborn and unaccepting. Terrace
McNally elicits empathyfrom the audienceby using literary devices including; the unique
characteristics of Andre s Mother, and the balloons symbolizing Andre s soul. I am very
compassionate about the topic because my sister is HIV positive. I know that she has been through
a lot, and people have treated her differently because of it. However, she is still the same person.
Terrace McNally decided to make the character of Andre s Mother nameless. Choosing not to
give her a name leaves room for the reader to imagine why she is nameless. Giving a character a
name makes them more personable, leaving a character unnamed would usually make them less
memorable. It is difficult to remember much about a character that you can not address by name.
However, in this situation, being nameless creates a distinct and intriguing character. It forces the
audience to question why these choices were made, and this allows the audience to use their
imagination and think about what type of person Andre s Mother was. I believe that Andre s
Mother s silence shows that she is not accepting of her son and that they do not have a close and
open relationship. Andre does not even tell his mother about his partner Cal in

Essay on The Palace of Knossos
Archaeology gives the modern world a window into the past. One of Greece s major dig sites is
the palace of Knossos. The palace of Knossos stood on the island of Crete near the modern town
of Heraklion at the co ordinates 35В° 17 52.66 N, 25В° 9 47.36 E. It was the home of King
Minos and his queen. The Palace is the setting for a myth where the queen gave birth to a being that
was half man, half bull, the Minotaurs, which was kept in the labyrinth of the palace; He was
eventually slayed by the Athenian Thesus.
The Palace of Knossos was destroyed in the later classical era and remained rubble until an
archaeologist named Arthur Evans uncovered it in 1900. Since discovering the site Evans has

The sanitation drainage used a closed system leading to a sewer away from the hill. The Queen
s megaron (toilet) showed the first signs of a flushing water system in the adjoining bathroom.
The toilet was flushed by pouring water down the toilet. In the bathroom there was also a bath
that was filled by buckets of heated water and was drained by overturning a stone covering over
the drain. As the hill was constantly pelted with rain a run off system was vital. Channels were
dug in a zig zag line down the hill to catch the water and take it to the river. Underground channels
had manhole so they could be repaired of unclogged.
In the palace lived many people slaves, royalty, guests and other people. To cater for the huge
amount of people in the palace many rooms were needed. There were 1300 rooms discovered by
Arthur Evans and his teams. These rooms were used as many things storerooms, bedrooms,
bathrooms, living rooms and most of all a throne room where King Minos sat as well as other kings.
The throne room was the most decorated room the whole palace with sculptures, frescos and
paintings. It was also the centrepiece of the whole palace because it opened out on to the central
court, the heart of the palace. The throne was on the northern wall of the room and on the other
three was benches and there was a sort of tub area presumably used for ceremonial

Harvard Business School Invented The Concept And Believed
Harvard Business School invented the concept and believed that competitive advantage cannot be
understood by looking at a firm as a whole. The disadvantages of a value chain could include a
company becoming too segmented and result in a construed conception of the company s most
important values. Thus, the importance of a successful value chain lies within the linkage of the
different processes it incorporates. All in all, the value chain can provide organizations a strategic
framework for managing the hundreds of activities that go into making the final product. Schott is a

Although Schott is has been successful throughout the life of the company, it surely is not thriving.
The annual bottom lines of the company continuously fluctuate and significant improvements have
been hard to achieve without significant changes to specific processes respective to each facility.
Like that of any large organization, company wide policies make opportunities for change
extremely difficult for any specific department or process. As Porter noted, competitive advantage
cannot be understood by looking at the firm as a whole and Schott has yet to fully adopt this logic.
Much like a waterfall effect, decisions and orders are trickled down throughout the organization
based on an employee s position of power. The company has incorporated a system that rewards
diligence opposed to innovative thinking which can lead to a very limited approach to reaching
new achievements for the company overall. Schott cannot make significant improvements by
incorporating broad changes throughout the organization. Each department within each facility
needs to be treated more as a separate, individual entity that can utilize its respective strengths.
Schott s North American facility has a completely different culture and structure compared to that
of the main headquarters in Germany, so why are the two not managed to

Soviet Union And The Ussr
On August 6th, 1945 the world watched in awe as the United States dropped two Atomic bombs
on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, this brought forth the end of World War 2 and an allied powers
victory. The two biggest winners of this war were the United States and the USSR (aka. Soviet
Union and present day Russia) and they knew that they won the most. The United States during
this time had just come out of the Worst depression it had in history and needed more
reassurance for a better future. The USSR was also on top of the world beating its biggest rival
but also took some of the biggest losses about 40 million people for a closer estimate. Germany had
separated into four divisions Russia taking the biggest portion and the capital Berlin. Russia saw
themselves as missionaries trying to expand communism worldwide from China to Cuba. The
problem with this was that the exact opposite of Communism was Capitalism, which ,along with
democracy, is what the United States stands for. The United States did not like that the USSR was
trying to spread communism which resulted in intervention and tensions between the two countries.
These political and military tensions were called the Cold War i.e. the unfought war of threats that
lasted over four decades. The Cold War can be dissected into five simple parts; The beginning of
the war, the heating up of the war, confrontation, the homefront, and the end of the war. The whole

Changing World Politics During World War II Essay
Changing World Politics
In a political system superintended and galvanized by anarchy and inherited norms, transformations
and variations are inevitable. The origin of such system began with the Peace of Westphalia,
marking the termination of the 30 years war, and was the prominent beginning of the modern
international system of where in which Nation States are of the highest institution. This was the
end of the Holy Roman Empire (of that wasn t holy nor Roman) and the incalculable scores of
religious based wars that plagued the world for a power struggle for territory and valuable natural
resources.
Post World War II was some of the best times in the United States; from economic growth to
numerous job increase, and advancements into the technology helm, the United States was in
great state. Prior to World War II, the state of World Politics consisted of a post World War I
collective security notion that transpired until 1939. United States President Wildrow Wilson
conceived this ideology as a better way of the current balance of power. Collective security is the
approach to in that a global coalition of states agrees to act collectively to repel aggression against
any other state in the international system (Bova). In the text it states Wilson related collective
security around to his expectation that democratic governments based on the principle of popular
sovereignty were the wave of the future (Bova). Translated, Wilson saw a future of that the world

Does the Canadian Charter Effectively Protect our Human...
Apart from the other laws in Canada s constitution, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms is
an important law that affects every Canadian s rights and freedoms. It was created in 1981 by
former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau to provide legal protection for the most important rights and
freedoms. These rights include fundamental freedoms, democratic rights, mobility rights, and legal
rights. Most but not all articles included in the Universal Declaration of Human Rightsare protected
in the constitution. However, if a Canadian feels that their rights are violated, they can challenge
laws and unfair actions using the justice system. In my opinion, I believe the Canadian Charter of

To prove that the Charter protects some rights but not all, a court case that involved Dr Henry
Morgentaler and the Supreme Court of Canada was successful after trials. Before this case,
women were only allowed to have an abortion after proper certification of approval from a hospital
s Therapeutic Abortion Committee. Three doctors including Morgentaler set up an abortion clinic
that allowed women to have an abortion without a certification of approval. He was later charged
with illegal abortion under section 251 of the Criminal Code. Morgentaler argued that women had
full right on deciding whether or not they wanted an abortion. This law was struck down as
unconstitutional as it violated a woman s right according to section 7 on the Charter.
Another example to support my statement involves the case R. V. Big M Drug Mart. Before
this case, the Lord s Day Act prevented people from opening shops on Sundays because that day
was for Christian people to go to church and spend time with their family. Big M Drug Mart was
charged in Calgary for unlawfully opening their store on a Sunday. They disagreed to the Lord s

and the law was struck down due to violation in section 2 in the Canadian Charter, which protected
fundamental rights.

Research on How to Market a New Product
Marketing Research The topic for this study would be marketing. I would carry out a research
on how to market a new product in the industry. This research will bring together a worldview,
strategies, and methods of research. 1.Worldviews 1.1 Epistemology vs ontology Epistemology
is a consideration of what constitutes reality while ontology is the science or study of being
(Blaikie 1993). This research adopts constructionism as its epistemology perspective because it
is very consistent with the research nature in terms of its aims and objectives. This is because in
constructivism, this research did not describe the facts just as they actually are as in objectivity
nor did it create something new as it is consistent with subjectivity (Crotty, 2007). This research
was thus built from a serious review and analysis of all the available literature on marketing of
new brands and entry into the market by many scholars. Baike, (1993) describes epistemology as
the theory or science of the methods or grounds of knowledge of reality, the manner in which
what exists can be known . In this research we try to understand the position of my stand in
respect to the theories drawn. 1.2 Positivism vs Interpretivism There is a philosophical position in
relation to the purpose and place of research in general. On the basis of positivism researchers take
a scientific perspective when observing social behavior, with an objective analysis possible
(Travers, 2001). It is important to note that

Utilitarianism, Deontology, And Virtue Ethics
Initially, my understanding of ethics was merely to determine what is right and wrong in certain
situations. Although, after learning about Utilitarianism, Deontology, and Virtue Ethics, I have
realized that certain characteristics of each play a role in determining what ethics truly are.
Utilitarianism characterizes the definition of ethics, by making all choices have the greatest positive
impact, while minimizing the risk. Deontology on the other hand would rather we not get involved
because there is never a justifiable means to an end. Finally, there is virtue ethics, which would
have us aspires to have certain characteristics that we hold above all others. Let s further expand
on what Utilitarianism means and how it affects ethics. Utilitarianism focuses on actions that
will appeal to the greater good, while causing the least amount of harm. When in respect too
many superheroes, they seem to have a mixed set of ethics. In White and Arp s Batman and
Philosophy, they discuss why Batman has decided not to kill the Joker, even though time after
time the Joker has proven himself to be a menace (2008, p.5 6). What it boils down to, is that
Bruce doesn t want to stoop to the level of the criminals he has sworn to protect the city from,
which could be the answer of what a Deontologist would say on this matter. On the other hand, a
utilitarian would want to kill the Joker, as it would save countless lives that would be in danger
otherwise. This showcases how Batman could save

Once I have examined the eggs, I will then take them out of the containers and place them on a
paper towel. Once I have dried the eggs off, I will start to test each one to determine how high
each one can bounce and which one will break first. I will do this experiment by dropping each
egg no more than 2 inches from a tabletop. I will make a note of how many bounces it took
before each egg broke. I will record this on my data sheet. Once I have completed this experiment,
then I will be able to answer the question I have.

Emile Durkheim Research Paper
There are many reasons why people should still learn about Karl Marx, Emile Durkheim, and
Max Weber Even though they lived long ago they were the three founding fathers of sociology.
Karl Marx was more of an angry man he always wanted to have conflict or commotion; while
Emile Durkeim thinks that everyone is a part of one whole but yet they are all different; and
bringing it all back together was Max Weber. He proposed that the three things in life are power,
wealth, and prestige. Even though they all had fairly different theories they all seem to have
become fairly accurate. Which is why people today should still learn about these scholars even
though they aren t around anymore.
The reason why Karl Marx should still be prevalent in today s society is because of how he was

Durkheim found himself to be fairly similar to Marx because he also was active in politics,
oftentimes finding himself in the minority as a socialist sympathizer(Social theory

example of this would be in the rules of sociological Method,Durkeim shows how crime is
actually normal in society because without it, we would have no sense of what is morally
acceptable. (Social theory rewired,2016)Even though Marx and Durkeim were eerily alike There
was one part where they weren t alike. Marx always had his sails set for commotion and conflict
while Durkheim would ask us to think of social solidarity and stability as something special to be
explained, not as a default or taken for granted experience. (Social theory rewired,2016) Durkeim
talked about how society is more than the sum of the individuals that comprise it; it includes social
relationships, social patterns, and forms of social government. (Dillon,2010, pg.81) This means that

How Does George Orwell Use Propaganda In Animal Farm
Animal Farm, by George Orwell, is an allegoric novel based on the history of the Soviet Union and
the Russian Revolution (1917 to 1944) disguised as an animal fable. Orwell draws his audience into
a utopian, metaphorical history novel through his animal characters. Squealer represents
intelligence and education; Napoleon represents propaganda and duplicity; The dogs to represent
violence and terror as a means of control; and finally Boxer represents apathy and acceptance.
Throughout each of the characters stories, there are themes of the Soviet Union intertwined. The

Roman Western Empire Research Paper
Background:
Issue:
Despite 500 years of complete domination over the Mediterranean and much of Europe, the Roman
Western Empire quickly collapsed in the 5th century C.E.
Research Question:
Why did the Roman Western Empire collapse?
Thesis:
Likely, the most convincing explanation is that the fall of the Roman Western Empire, was largely
determined by the Empire s economic instability after repeated invasions by Barbarian tribes.
Two Areas of Arguments:
First, the Empire s economy was weakened as the government was overexpanding and
overspending, which also led to the rise of the Eastern Empire.
Second and more importantly, the Barbarian invasions, which constantly put the Romans under
attack, caused much trouble and devastation to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Evidence Items:
There was a lot of overspending, to cover the costs of the army, weapons and defence.
The constant civil wars, rebellions, and attacks had required the constant increase of taxation on the
people of Rome, which made the citizens poorer. In addition, many rich citizens fled to avoid tax
collectors which in turn further weakened the economy by drawing wealth outside the empire.
The Western Roman Empire was so big (from the Atlantic Ocean to Middle East) that it was really
hard to govern it and communicate throughout. With the lack of communication, orders were not
able to reach the people/troops quite as quickly as hoped, which made it much harder for Rome to
defend itself.
The constant civil wars, rebellions, and attacks, all required much military spending by the
government, also links to the barbarian invasions as they caused many of the attacks.
Factor 2: Political power struggles led to civil wars, which affeted the trade, ultimately collapsing
the economy.
Evidence Items:
Since the economy was already suffering, many citizens began making their own goods instead of
trading, furthermore, the civil wars caused many merchants to lose their safe routes throughout the
empire. The civil wars accelerated the failure of

people blame incrased prices based on fears around the world. It all comes down to one thing to

Given the demands of today s competitive and dynamic environment, it is quite challenging to

organizational success. Introduction in today s dynamic and competitive business environment,
survival, growth and profitability are the essence goals of all industries. Nowadays, Porter s Five

Successful use of the Porter Model Analysis includes identifying the sources of competition, the
strength and likelihood of that competition existing, and strategic recommendations for the action a
company should take to develop barriers to the various forms of competition (Prahalad and Gary,
1990). With the realization about intensity and power of competitive forces, organizations can
develop options to influence them in a way that improves their own competitive position. The result
could be a new strategic option, e.g. a new positioning; differentiation for competitive products of
strategic partnerships.
Porter s Five Forces can be applied to particular companies, market segments and industries with
the step by step analysis of market structure and competitive situation. First of all, when
implementing this module in organizations, it is necessary to determine the scope of the market to
be analyzed. Following, all relevant forces for this market analyzed and key forces are identified
(Gerry and Kevan, P.117). Actually some organizational strategy and the longer term goals are
mainly based on or consistent with the key forces. Hence, it is not necessary to analyze all elements
of all competitive forces with the same depth. Moreover, the key forces in the competitive
environment will vary in different industry. Different forces take on prominence in shaping
competition in each industry (Porter,

Migrant Workers Essay
Migrant workers are people who leave their hometowns to live and work in other cities or
countries. Everyday, there are people moving from one place to another, it may because of
wanting to change a working condition, to break away from unemployment, or to find new
opportunities for self development. Someone may against that they bring a lot of negative
impact on the places they moved to live and work, but in my opinion, whenever in economic,
cultural and social aspect, they bring much more advantages to those places. First, the diaspora
makes positive impacts on the economy of a country. In the view of economy, when there are
more people are looking for a job, which means the demand for jobs increased, a lower wages can
be resulted, so that the country can be benefited by getting more and cheaper labour force, which
would help increase the productivity of the country, the competitiveness of it increased. Also, the
migrant workers would bring new capitals to the cities or countries, that they must have to bring

And by communicating cultures, cultural integration can be promoted, which would benefit those
places that migrant workers moved in. By promoting cultural integration, the domestic people s
acceptance for the diaspora increase, they can agree to more cultures, so that more migrant people
would like to come and develop. For instance, if the local people would not resist trying food from
different countries, outsiders may be more willing migrating to that place to start a new business
providing featured dishes from their hometown, so that people can have more choices when

The Role Of Women In Dante s Divine Comedy
In the Divine Comedy, Dante Alighieri writes of his travels from Hell into Heaven, and through
his travels he uses roles of women to convey important characters on his travels. During the time
when Dante was writing this piece of literature women did not play an important role in society,
so for Dante to weave in women was uncharacteristic for the time. The three main women
characters to whom Dante refers to the most are Beatrice who is Dante s lover, Virgin Mary who
sent Beatrice to guide Dante and Virgil on their travels, and lastly, Saint Lucy or Lucia. Since
Dante was a Christian, these three women play a role of portraying the trinity in reference to God,
Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. In the late Middle Ages, women were forced under many disabilities.
Society viewed women as physically, intellectually, and morally inferior to men (Bornstein 1). In
the 1300 s when Dante wrote the Divine Comedywomen did not play a key role in society outside
the home. This was not solely excluding a certain sex because of who they were, but because of
how society in history has viewed women. Many believed that women could not do a man s job
or fit to be in charge of a certain group. In the 1300 s, women were to be in charge of the
household, take care of the children, make the food for the day, and be a loyal wife to their
husbands. Through the 1300 s women had a desire to voice what they could achieve, so they started
to speak out their opinions to the public. Women expressed in

Summary Of The Short Story Michael Vey The Final Spark
Thematic Essay Richard Paul Evans fantasy short story, Michael Vey The Final Spark, takes
place in the current world where an expirement gone wrong created 17 electric children. These
children have powers ranging from taking down planes to going excessivly hot. This children
were created by a machine that blew called the MEI. The main character, Micheal, sacrificed
himself to save his friends, the Electroclan, from Hatch, an evil buisnessmen that is trying to
take over the world with his evil Glows (Electric Children). The theme is that you never actually
lose someone because of they always are alive in hearts, minds, and spirit. The theme in Michael
Vey The Final Spark is hard to find. One the other hand there is many clues towards it. One of
these hints is in a scene with Ostin and Jack. These characters are very different. This is because
Ostin is a genuis and he knows almost everything and Jack is a used to be bully, yet both had
very good friendships with Micheal. While sleeping on a resistance s boat, they both had the
same dream, Micheal their supposedly dead friend coming to them in a dream. He tells them that
they need to switch coures because the rest of the rebellion is on a different island. This proves
that even though Micheal was gone they will never lose him. Another example of theme is in the
end of the book. This is when Micheal came back to save all of his friends. Hatch is about to hurt

The Decision Making Of Judges Essay
According to Professor J. Peltason, The decision as to who makes the decision affects what
decisions will be made. Peltason s words refer to the inescapable human factor present in judicial
process, specifically in terms of the decision making of judges. Fairness and impartiality are two
of the most important considerations and desires the legal system should aim to achieve.
Unfortunately, due to the human factor, impartiality and fairness are ideal goals that are
difficult to realize in the system. Specific procedures are in place and meant to be practiced in
order to ensure justice in the legal system, and the process varies depending on the type of case.
The different types of cases have differing standards of proof, extensions of due process, and
proceedings. On the basis of these important differences and of specified proceedings, the efforts
toward fairness in the civil process can be evaluated.

Lidar Project
LiDAR is a remote sensing survey method that improved upon the advances of laser altimeter
data by being able to model fuel parameters. Models depicting forest fire behavior are invaluable
to resource managers. There are several forest canopy structures that are particularly effective at
modeling fire behavior (Peterson, 2013). These canopy metrics include height, fuel weight, base
height and bulk density (Andersen et al, 2005). High resolution LiDAR technology enabled large
areas of forest to be measured three dimensionally (Sima et al, 2014). After the LiDAR data were
collected from either a stationary platform or mounted to an aircraft, statistical regressions could
develop numerous predictive models that mapped fuel parameters. Su and... Show more content on

K means clustering works in this capacity by portioning n number of observations into k number
of clusters. Each n is associated with a k based on the mean. The analysis is complete when each
observation is assigned a cluster that is closest to its arithmetic mean (Nekola, 2004). K means
clustering results in several clusters which can then be assigned to tree, shrub, understory or other
related layers. The technology used to create such DEM s began with early laser survey techniques.
Remote sensing of vegetation advanced significantly with the widespread implementation of laser
scanners. Laser altimeters mounted on aircraft were used to measure vegetation and surface
patterns. The early altimeters were pulsed lasers that could transmit and receive several thousand
pulses per second. A portable computer onboard the aircraft collected the digital data from the
altimeter. The data could later be analyzed to determine patterns of vegetative cover, patchiness and
vegetation height. In Weltz et al (1994) tested laser altimeter derived canopy cover and vegetative
height against field data made using the line intercept transect method (Eberhardt, 1978). Weltz et al
determined that the altimeter measurements were not significantly different from the field data.
However, canopy cover was consistently overestimated by under 0.3 meters. Early airborne laser
scanners were effective at measuring stand and canopy height (Gaveau, 2003). Mean

  • 3. The Evolution of Modern Humans While time travel still remains elusive to us, scientists have been able to discover things about our past as a species that were practically inconceivable over 150 years ago when Charles Darwin released his book entitled The Origin of Species. Their side rows of teeth were in parallel lines and were heavily enameled which entails that they ate hard, abrasive foods such as nuts, but researchers also believe that they also ate fruits. These hominids were possibly the size of modern female chimpanzees and there is evidence of sexual dimorphism. (Leakey et al, 1995; White et al, 2006) Discovered in 1974, Australopithecus afarensis is one of the most famous early hominids and they are the direct descendants of Australopithecus anamensis. Australopithecus afarensis as a species was not named until 1978, after many fossil discoveries of the same type were found at sites in Hadar, Ethiopia and Laetoli, Tanzania. Some of the fossils categorized as a part of this species were found as early as in the 1930 s. • 4. The Ship Poem Within The Ship Starting, there are three notable instances of repetition. For one, the word ship occurs three times (including in the title). Given that ships are the topic of interest in the poem, this instance of repetition has the basic effect of bringing the locus of the text back to the title, or central theme. The second example can be observed in the second and third lines, where the word sails is followed by moonsails, a made up compound version of the former word. Using the same word twice, and in this case, by adding on and modifying its second appearance, the reader is likely to acquire a clear picture of the scene that Whitman lays out in the poem. Emphasizing the image of the ships sails by preceding the words with diction such as all and even attributes the sails to a sense of abundance or freedom. The third instance of repetition occurs in line four, where she speeds she speeds is used to describe the motions that the ship is making. Whereas it would be considered grammatically correct to include a comma after the first mention of she speeds, leaving it out better reflects the content of the poem: she speeds she speeds gives the impression of a ship slicing through the water quickly. In many cases, using the same word twice in a row takes away from a text s message, but in The Ship Starting, this repetition instead works in Whitman s favor by supporting the visual imagery he seeks to create. Hitler started what was know as the Euthanasia Program in which the term was changed from Good Death to mass murder of the Jewish people, Gypsies and the handicapped people of Germany and ultimately started the Holocaust. Hitler wanted to kill off the people that he did not think were worthy of life. Doctor Jack Kevorkian was the subject of the most recent assisted suicide debates. Dr. Death, as he was later called, was a pathologist who was convicted of murder for helping his patients in the act of physician assisted suicide. He was always interested in death and dying and wanted to help his patients go peacefully instead of suffering. He had, what he called, a suicide machine set up in an old van and would drive around, at people s requests, to assist them in killing themselves. Kevorkian was tried multiple times for murder, but pleaded not guilty until 1999, when the court showed a video of him providing Thomas Youk with lethal doses of drugs. It is an extremely painful for the person with the virus, and it is emotional for them and their loved ones. Many people have preconceived ideas about what types of people get HIV/AIDS and can be stubborn and unaccepting. Terrace McNally elicits empathyfrom the audienceby using literary devices including; the unique characteristics of Andre s Mother, and the balloons symbolizing Andre s soul. I am very compassionate about the topic because my sister is HIV positive. I know that she has been through a lot, and people have treated her differently because of it. However, she is still the same person. Terrace McNally decided to make the character of Andre s Mother nameless. Choosing not to give her a name leaves room for the reader to imagine why she is nameless. Giving a character a name makes them more personable, leaving a character unnamed would usually make them less memorable. It is difficult to remember much about a character that you can not address by name. However, in this situation, being nameless creates a distinct and intriguing character. It forces the audience to question why these choices were made, and this allows the audience to use their imagination and think about what type of person Andre s Mother was. This research will bring together a worldview, strategies, and methods of research. 1.Worldviews 1.1 Epistemology vs ontology Epistemology is a consideration of what constitutes reality while ontology is the science or study of being (Blaikie 1993). This research adopts constructionism as its epistemology perspective because it is very consistent with the research nature in terms of its aims and objectives. This is because in constructivism, this research did not describe the facts just as they actually are as in objectivity nor did it create something new as it is consistent with subjectivity (Crotty, 2007). This research was thus built from a serious review and analysis of all the available literature on marketing of new brands and entry into the market by many scholars. Baike, (1993) describes epistemology as the theory or science of the methods or grounds of knowledge of reality, the manner in which what exists can be known . In this research we try to understand the position of my stand in respect to the theories drawn. 1.2 Positivism vs Interpretivism There is a philosophical position in relation to the purpose and place of research in general. Roman Western Empire Research Paper Background: Issue: Despite 500 years of complete domination over the Mediterranean and much of Europe, the Roman Western Empire quickly collapsed in the 5th century C.E. Research Question: Why did the Roman Western Empire collapse? Thesis: Likely, the most convincing explanation is that the fall of the Roman Western Empire, was largely determined by the Empire s economic instability after repeated invasions by Barbarian tribes. Two Areas of Arguments: First, the Empire s economy was weakened as the government was overexpanding and overspending, which also led to the rise of the Eastern Empire. Second and more importantly, the Barbarian invasions, which constantly put the Romans under attack, caused much trouble and devastation to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Evidence Items: There was a lot of overspending, to cover the costs of the army, weapons and defence. The constant civil wars, rebellions, and attacks had required the constant increase of taxation on the people of Rome, which made the citizens poorer. In addition, many rich citizens fled to avoid tax collectors which in turn further weakened the economy by drawing wealth outside the empire. The Western Roman Empire was so big (from the Atlantic Ocean to Middle East) that it was really hard to govern it and communicate throughout. With the lack of communication, orders were not able to reach the people/troops quite as quickly as hoped, which made it much harder for Rome to defend itself. The constant civil wars, rebellions, and attacks, all required much military spending by the government, also links to the barbarian invasions as they caused many of the attacks. Factor 2: Political power struggles led to civil wars, which affeted the trade, ultimately collapsing the economy. Evidence Items: Since the economy was already suffering, many citizens began making their own goods instead of trading, furthermore, the civil wars caused many merchants to lose their safe routes throughout the empire. The Role Of Women In Dante s Divine Comedy In the Divine Comedy, Dante Alighieri writes of his travels from Hell into Heaven, and through his travels he uses roles of women to convey important characters on his travels. During the time when Dante was writing this piece of literature women did not play an important role in society, so for Dante to weave in women was uncharacteristic for the time. The three main women characters to whom Dante refers to the most are Beatrice who is Dante s lover, Virgin Mary who sent Beatrice to guide Dante and Virgil on their travels, and lastly, Saint Lucy or Lucia. Since Dante was a Christian, these three women play a role of portraying the trinity in reference to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. In the late Middle Ages, women were forced under many disabilities. Society viewed women as physically, intellectually, and morally inferior to men (Bornstein 1). In the 1300 s when Dante wrote the Divine Comedywomen did not play a key role in society outside the home. This was not solely excluding a certain sex because of who they were, but because of how society in history has viewed women. Many believed that women could not do a man s job or fit to be in charge of a certain group. In the 1300 s, women were to be in charge of the household, take care of the children, make the food for the day, and be a loyal wife to their husbands. Through the 1300 s women had a desire to voice what they could achieve, so they started to speak out their opinions to the public. Women expressed in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Peltason s words refer to the inescapable human factor present in judicial process, specifically in terms of the decision making of judges. Fairness and impartiality are two of the most important considerations and desires the legal system should aim to achieve. Unfortunately, due to the human factor, impartiality and fairness are ideal goals that are difficult to realize in the system. Specific procedures are in place and meant to be practiced in order to ensure justice in the legal system, and the process varies depending on the type of case. The different types of cases have differing standards of proof, extensions of due process, and proceedings. On the basis of these important differences and of specified proceedings, the efforts toward fairness in the civil process can be evaluated. These canopy metrics include height, fuel weight, base height and bulk density (Andersen et al, 2005). High resolution LiDAR technology enabled large areas of forest to be measured three dimensionally (Sima et al, 2014). Each n is associated with a k based on the mean. The analysis is complete when each observation is assigned a cluster that is closest to its arithmetic mean (Nekola, 2004). K means clustering results in several clusters which can then be assigned to tree, shrub, understory or other related layers. The technology used to create such DEM s began with early laser survey techniques. Remote sensing of vegetation advanced significantly with the widespread implementation of laser scanners. Laser altimeters mounted on aircraft were used to measure vegetation and surface patterns. The early altimeters were pulsed lasers that could transmit and receive several thousand pulses per second. A portable computer onboard the aircraft collected the digital data from the altimeter. The data could later be analyzed to determine patterns of vegetative cover, patchiness and vegetation height. In Weltz et al (1994) tested laser altimeter derived canopy cover and vegetative height against field data made using the line intercept transect method (Eberhardt, 1978).
